It's in the Roleswap AU, where Toadette helps Peach in getting to Princess Mario so he can help her find Daisy!

BTW here's another ideas for the AU:

-Princess Mario is semi verbal and Toad was initially one of the interpreters that went with him through his days, to communicate out loud his words to the people who may not know sign language. As time passes, they become friends and then best friends (Toad always calls Mario bestie and talks about their relationship like that, he's very proud about being friends with Super Princess Mario).

-Imagine that Princess Mario goes over the top for his lil bro's anniversary and throws the biggest party each year for him (and Bowser), and they get to be known as the "Mario Parties" and by the time Peach and Daisy get lost there, it is the Mario Party 7.

>Thinking about this from the Mario Party games where Mario gestures stuff and then Toad says "it seems like Mario..." and then he says whatever Mario wants to do.

-BTW Peach is as much of a girlfailure as Mario was straight up a failure at the beginning of the Mario Movie.

-Also yeah Toad killed her but don't worry they give her a 1-up.

okay I saw some art and am now obsessed with the idea of an au where everything is the same EXCEPT: Tomioka Tsutako didn’t die, the Tomioka siblings were saved last minute by the Water Hashira (Urokodaki), who took them in and trained Tsutako to be a demon slayer, she still gets married, Sabito doesn’t die but becomes Tsutako’s tsuguko, Tsutako becomes the Water Hashira.

I really want to see her and Mitsuri and Shinobu bond!!!! I want to see her rescue and meet the Kamado siblings and bring them in to the family!!!!!

I also want her to somehow interact with Rengoku so that he stops by one day for some reason and bumps into Giyuu, the quiet, pretty, mysterious, sweet younger brother of the Water Hashira, and they fall in love ahdnkckvirkemdmmvkvkoroeidicjjc

As they finally neared the Skyview Tower, Zelda became aware of the sound of footsteps and the sound of something- or someone- grumbling. The Skyview Tower was atop the hill but, much closer, there was a faint huff, a growl, and Zelda gestured for her friends to slow their approach.

"Another monster?" Gaddison fretted, clutching her spear. Sasan, unarmed and untrained, lingered behind Torfeau. Zelda nocked an arrow. They rounded the corner and-

"Yona!?"

There she was: Lady Yona, Sidon's fiancée, all alone. She had a water skin strapped to her hip, and carried a large sack, which she was carefully placing splash fruit into. Her large gold eyes widened further when she saw Zelda.

"Zelda?" she asked incredulously. For a moment, she just stared in astonishment before she jumped into action; still clutching the sack of splash fruit, she ran over and, throwing aside her usual propriety, threw her arms around Zelda in a tight hug. It was a welcome surprise in more ways than one. Zelda happily returned the embrace, relieved to see her newest friend was alright. Yona looked tired, but there was no sign of illness from her, no burns from the sludge.

"You're alright," Yona breathed. "Thank goodness. We've all been so worried." She pulled back slightly, smiling shyly. She looked around at the group and her smile faltered. "But where is Link? Surely he came with you, Zelda?"

"He's..." Zelda hesitated. How to explain everything that happened?

Gaddison saved her. She looked at Yona with narrowed eyes. "My lady," she said sternly. "Where are your attendants?"

Yona smiled sheepishly. She reached around Zelda and deftly plucked one last splash fruit from a tree, placing it in her sack.

"Please don't tell Sidon I'm here alone," she pleaded.

"Toadette comes out from under the sofa angry and confused at the same time, she couldn't understand what is happend:

"Toadette why you are spying on us?!" Ask Daisy

"Because Luigi and Yoshi was on Peach's castle seeing some pictures and when I try to see, they saw that was nothing! But them was spying Mario and Peach!" Say Toadette pointing the finger at Luigi

"Okay Toadette! I going to explain what we are doing, we was spying Mario and Peach, because we was seeing if was koopas" explain Luigi

"Koopas?"Ask Toadette confuse

"We found out that Bowser sent koopas to work on Mario and Peach, so we're spying on them and we're going to attack them today"

"Wait, so you're making sure Mario and Peach are okay?"

"Yes" said Toad

"Then I'm going to help you! If not, I'm going to tell Mario and Peach everything" said Toadette, crossing her arms

The group met and began to discuss:

"What should we do?"

"Are we going to trust Toadette or not?"

"Luigi what are we going to do?"

Everyone looked at Luigi, he soon thought and had an answer.

"I know what to do! Don't worry guys"

Luigi turned to Toadette and crouched down so she could look at him.

"Toadette, if you save Mario and Peach's meeting, you'll join the group" Luigi said and made everyone surprised and then Donkey Kong interrupted

"Luigi, are you crazy? We don't know if we can trust her or not!"

"Donkey Kong, you know that I've helped Mario a lot and especially Peach"

"Estamos dando tu palabra Toadette" Daisy said, crouching down until she was Toadette's size.

*Later that night*

"Have a good party my hero!"

"Sì amore mio!"

Mario and Peach were dancing at a party in MK, they were having a lot of fun, Toadette was on the other side of the party, she had just arrived and was talking on her cell phone.

"I'm entering the party, I already saw Mario and Peach, no Koopa in the area" Toadette said with her cell phone.

"Don't forget Toadette, there are 6 Koopas, two red, two yellow and two blue, use the Super Crown" Luigi said sitting on the sofa in his house.

Toadette took the Super Crown she had brought, she and Toad hunted for Power-ups for MK, she transformed into Peachette, she also wore a dress that Daisy had lent her for the plan.

She soon spotted two disguised Koopas, she grabbed a glass and threw it at them without anyone noticing, then she spotted the others, they soon prepared to fight, but she started fighting, until the others saw her.

"THEY ARE TRYING TO ROB ME!"

Everyone heard and went to help Peachette, Mario called the guards and the Koopas were arrested, he approached Peachette without recognizing her.

""Are you okay, young lady?" Mario asked

"Yes I am, thank you Mr. Mario" Peachette replied disguising her voice

"Wait, where did you buy that dress?" Mario asked looking at his dress. "It looks like one of Princess Daisy's dresses."

"Ah... I-I have a cousin who bought Sarasaland for me!" Peachette replied in a lie.

"Wow, your cousin must be rich," Mario said laughing. "The princess told me these are the most expensive in Sarasaland."

"Yeah..." Peachette said with a fake laugh "I-I have to go, bye and have a good party!"

Peachette ran off and went to Mario and Luigi's house, she knocked on the door and waited. The group was gathered in the room waiting for Toadette, Yoshi soon spoke.

"Why is Toadette taking so long?"

"We knew we shouldn't trust him!" Donkey Kong said, crossing his arms.

"Tranquilos muchachos, a veces toma un tiempo, recuerdan cuando me tocó a mí? También tomó un tiempo" Daisy said as she hugged Luigi, soon they heard a knock on the door.

"Open the door, Toad!" Luigi said, pointing to the door.

"Why me?"

"Because you're in my house, go now!"

Toad got off the couch and went to answer the door, there was Peachette, all happy.

"I ACHIEVED!" Shouted Peachette jumping for joy while the others were surprised.

"Really Toadette?!" Luigi said, getting up from the sofa and going to Peachette.

"Yes Luigi, I gave my word and you gave yours" Peachette replied "so I'm in the group?"

"Well since I'm the leader of the group, then yes, when I make a promise, I keep it" Luigi said "Then yes Toadette you are in the group"

Peachette hugged Luigi and hugged her while the others celebrated, now Toadette was part of the Protective Group of Mareach."

Okay, imma elaborate on my madwheeler roleswap bullshit.

For those who have no idea what i’m talking about (probably most of you, i imagine 😅), the basic premise is this: what would Stranger Things/Hawkins look like if Max had lived in Hawkins from the beginning, and Mike & the Wheelers moved to Hawkins in season 2?

My previous posts on this are linked here (initial premise, basically breaking down how canon deviated to allow for the role swap) here (elaborating on potential implications of swapping Mike & Max’s roles for El & her relationships) and here (this talks vaguely about how removing Mike might change season one/party dynamics). All previous posts are gonna be elaborated on as i get further in my rewatch/plot this out more tho, lol. If anyone has any thoughts, other takes, or wants to bounce ideas around or offer their own opinions on how the season could potentially deviate based on this premise, i’d seriously love to hear about it (talking ab this stuff is my catnip ngl).

(Speaking of! @faithfulcat111 hiiiiiiii! I figured i might as well tag you on this post, since this focuses a lot on how season 1 might be different—specifically, differences caused by the fact that Nancy Wheeler isn’t in Hawkins, since I haven’t gotten to posts specifically describing how season 1 could/would go down yet (…in part bc i haven’t decided how i think it should go down, & also bc i rlly have to do that rewatch 😅). I haven’t decided whether Will was biking home from Max’s the night he was taken, or if he was just… at home, y’know? Because if will was targeted by vecna, (& i think he was lol), whether he was biking home or just at his house wouldn’t matter, except for the fact that one option creates waaaaay more angst for our characters than the other, especially if the Mayfield’s trailer was the last place will was seen 😬🤷.)

Now, can we talk ab the potential implications of No Nancy Wheeler?

Like. Wherever Nancy Wheeler grew up, it sure as hell wasn’t Hawkins, and that has all kinds of impacts on the people who ARE still in Hawkins.

In Rebel Robin, Robin basically all but says that Barb chose Nancy over her. No Nancy… are Barb & Robin still friends?

Steve isn’t pursuing Nancy, which means Nancy doesn’t drag Barb along to Steve’s party, which means Barb doesn’t get taken—at least, not because of the party. Was Steve pursuing someone else? Maybe Heather Holloway, or Chrissy Cunningham? Maybe one of them is invited to the party. Maybe she dies earlier, in this universe.

Or maybe she survives the monster attacks. Become part of the action, part of the force against the Upsidedown.

Without Nancy there… does Jonathan Byers take the pictures? [We need to have a brief sidebar about Jonathan. First and foremost, I love this character. Second, taking noncon pictures of someone, especially when they’re in a vulnerable position, is never okay. What Jonathan did was badly handled in canon and, frankly, out of character.]. Perhaps, rather than taking the photos, Jonathan trips, falls, cuts himself while wandering the woods looking for Will. His blood draws a monster (that perhaps gets caught on jonathan’s camera?), which causes Jonathan to either scream, burst through the bushes into the pool party rambling about a faceless monster like a madman, or both.

Now, having witnessed Jonathan Byers’ incident, Steve’s involved. Maybe he gets suspicious of the woods around his house, catches a glimpse of the monster too. Potential slowburn Stonathan friendship bc it’s clear, from the fact that Steve goes to apologize & pays for a new camera & talks ab hanging out with Jonathan in season 4, that steve genuinely wants to be friends with this guy.

In this au, Steve likely wouldn’t break Jonathan’s camera, bc Jonathan hasn’t given him a (frankly, completely justified) reason to. Steve & Jonathan’s fistfight probably wouldn’t happen. But unless Jonathan sees the monster… without Nancy & the photos Jonathan took of Barb getting taken, Jonathan has no reason to believe his mother, and no reason to try & fight the demogorgon (which probs wouldn’t be called a demogorgon here, given that the party isn’t as into dnd w/out Mike, RIP).

You know what else No Nancy means? Nobody to make the connection about demogorgons & blood. & later, in season 2, No Nancy back in season 1 means Alive Barb, which means no exposing Owens/the lab, which means the lab is still up & running in season 3, & ALSO means no Murray until season 3 at Least (through Hopper), AND given Nancy’s wildly different relationships in this au could mean there’ll be nobody to stab Will with a hot poker & free him from the mindflayer at the end of season 2, and depending on how we resolve that & season 3—

Basically, Nancy Wheeler is insanely important, and her absence is gonna have a lot of implications. (Thankfully, given that the Wheelers move to Hawkins pre-season 2, she’ll be around for season 4. 🙏)

SUNSETTER - An Undertale roleswap take

A couple months back I started making a concept for an Underswap take. I'm happy with what I've made thus far.

Long ago, Monsterkind and Humanity lived together in harmony. But a war sparked, and the peace shattered. The monsters, overpowered, made a bunker, and hid underground. The humans, discovering this, created a machine to keep monsterkind from leaving it, hoping their opponents would eventually die out. And the war soon was long forgotten...

... Eventually, in the year of 202X, a story unfolds.

On the surface are the caverns of Night's Aura. Underneath the earth lies the refuge of Monsterkind...

A bit of information before we get onto characters...

This is a human's SPIRIT, the very essence of one's being. A monster's spirit, containing seven human's spirits, would become godlike.

Anyways...

The first character swap on the AU is...

A Flowey - Frisk swap!

Finley is a human kid, around 15 years old. They're a bit of a brat. After running away from home, they hide away in a cave. Picking up sticks to make a fire, they unfortunately discovered some loose ground, and fell into the SETTLEMENT.

The Human is... a human? Maybe. They seem a bit... undead, though. A silent type, seemingly not talking at all. Who knows if they can. They hide and watch from the shadows, acting on instinct alone. No one seems to know they exist. What even are they?

Next is your average Asgore - Toriel swap!

Asgore is the guide to the OL' TOWN from the OUTSKIRTS, and one who used to be the king of Monsterkind. He's a big fuzzy pushover, just like in Undertale. He's beloved by all in the area. It's a wonder why he's so far from the captial... but he's there to give hope to all that lives in Town.

Toriel is the keeper of the BARRICADE, and the queen of Monsterkind. As of now, all know how she tires from the situation she's in. Many fear her wrath, but others know her warmth. With her mighty blade, Queen TORIEL will set all free.

As with most Underswap takes, you can't have it without the usual Papyrus - Sans swap!

Papyrus is a skeleton who's lost his ambition. Due to certain circumstances, a goal he once had is completely out of reach. Due to this, he's become a bit more... distant. He's not lazy by any means, but he has a hard time getting up in the morning. Besides all of that, he still shares some visions and ideals as his original self. Though, perhaps someone can come by and help him...

Sans is also a skeleton. The Skeleton, even. He's mainly very similar to his original lazybones self. But he's gotten a little more upbeat and extroverted, in an attempt to help his brother get back to his former greatness. There isn't much else to add, actually. At the core, he really is still Sans, puns, pranks, and all. Though, he does have a few jobs, including working as an assistant for a magical girl vigilante. Though, it's mainly just taking phone calls. They'd be met through SNOHFAL CAVERNS and the CITY OF SNOHFALIN

I decided to do something interesting for my Alphys - Undyne swap, but the usual thing is still like the average one.

Alphys is the aforementioned magical girl style vigilante in the WETLANDS, trying to make a name for herself. The matters of protection throughout the SETTLEMENT had lessened before she started, due to certain circumstances. She's gotten herself a few fans, stopped a few crimes, supported the local soup kitchen... But she still feels like there's more she can do. Toriel's stressed, and she knows this. So, maybe... she can try to get the next fallen human's SPIRIT on her own.

Undyne is the Queen's Royal Engineer, and a rather good one at that. She's made various ways of making the settlement, and the lives of those that reside in it, better. Though, there's nothing that outdoes the previous ones's greatest creation, MEGA, a generator that powers the entire Settlement. She resides in a laboratory in PYROCLAST Due to certain circumstances, she's much more determined to get the next fallen human's SPIRIT. She's enlisted the help of a ghostly friend of hers to help her do so.

The Blook Cousins have a different swapping arrangement from normal Underswap Napstablook - Dummy Mettaton - Mad Dummy/Mew Mew

Scarecrow is, well... a scarecrow. A ghost monster possessing a scarecrow, actually. Despite their name, and weird face, they're actually rather shy. They probably just need a little cheering up once in a while. They also really like music.

Bittinaugh (pronounced: bitty-naff) is just your average ghost monster. They don't talk much, though. Who really knows what goes on in that little ghost's head. They're also a shy sort, and a bit sensitive, despite their monotonous expression.

Starcrow is also a ghost monster possessing a scarecrow. Though, they have VERY high aspirations for themself. They wish to be a celebrity, a star for the whole SETTLEMENT to enjoy. After learning about a human's fall through their cousin, they decided that a perfect start to showbiz would be to face one head on!

The "Mad Mew Mew" boss would have them possess a big gundam-like figure, with similarities to Mettaton EX.

Amornalek (pronounced: a-more-na-leck) seems to be your average robotic suit of armor, but she's actually a VENGEFUL SPIRIT!!! Or... just an angry ghost monster possessing the suit. She works with Undyne, and is her best friend... and training dummy for battle practice. They two spar a lot, and it's fun for the both of them. Undyne souped-up her with a TON of weapons. Magic, missiles, knives, a LOT of knives, those knives were kinda Amor's idea.

There's an "EX" form, but I haven't designed it. It would be similar to Mad Mew Mew, but not exactly. It'd also go for more of a mix of cute-yet-violent in design than just cute.

And finally, Asriel - Chara

Both of them are... more or less the same as in canon. Their life and death are more or less the same. It's just that Undyne was allowed by Queen Toriel to use Chara's corpse for a... certain experiment. Being allowed to do so was due to desperation, and the idea of at least seeing one of her children alive again.

But that's another story. ... Which I'm gonna tell right now.

SOW-WOS - The "Willpower" Experiments

There was an attempt by Undyne to make stronger monsters/warriors, beings able to get past and destroy the barricade. All of the monsters that were experimented on were volunteers, rather than just being on death's door like in Undertale. Each and every volunteer was a member of that time's current Royal Guard.

Each volunteer was given a machine put inside their bodies that courses Willpower, a lifeblood extracted from the previously collected human SPIRITs, throughout their body.

Unfortunately, the volunteers start to become a metallic-like fluid, an immense pull making them come together. Their bones and joints reconfigured within the combined masses. The fluid hardens and loses polarity as they turn from magnetic fluid, to almost a hard metal, like titanium.

The amalgamates form, with a distinct taste in the air... similar to that of copper.

These experiments, Undyne couldn't reveal the full results of, so she locked the masses down below the main lab. She simply recorded that they perished in the experimentation. And what makes things worse, is that the body of the deceased human had disappeared. Learning this, Toriel completely disbanded the Royal Guard, not wanting something like this to happen again. She put Undyne on probation, yet did not completely fire her. The whole thing was an accident, completely unexpected, and the subjects were volunteers. It was not Undyne's fault. But to Undyne, it was. With that on her shoulders, she made it her new mission to get the next human's SPIRIT... By any means necessary.

Welp, I thought of a new LoZ au XD

This is kind of like a roleswap, but instead of their destinies being swapped it's just their social standing.

In this version of Hyrule, the spirit of the hero is the one being passed down through the royal family, or rather, someone born with the spirit of the hero becomes a part of the royal family (like the Arthurian legend). The blood of the goddess is still a familial tie, except the family that it belongs to is extremely elusive. Not even the royal family could track them down, as only one from the family appears whenever there is a great evil.

For this story, Link was born to the royal family. He's probably the first in over a few hundred years to be a direct descendant of a sword-bearer, making him the ideal king for Hyrule. Of course, Link doesn't want this, so he ran away to try to avoid his destiny (since that means a great evil is coming).

Zelda lives peacefully in a nice village on the corners of Hyrule. She was minding her own business when she finds a cradle stuck in the water on the outskirts of her village. To her surprise, she finds a Gerudo baby in it, and takes it back to the village. The villagers had never seen a Gerudo before, much less a baby, and demand that Zelda take it back where it came from (as anything new they reject). So, Zelda takes it upon herself to go searching for the Gerudo and return the baby, unaware that it was male and of the Gerudo's laws against men. Along the way she meets a disgruntled traveler who shows her way to the desert, joining only because the baby had a "playful" habit of stealing one of the traveler's belongings (mainly his wallet), so he went along to keep an eye on it.

Honestly, I have lots of ideas with this kind of swap, like another with Zelda becoming a handmaiden in the castle to resolve her late father's debts and meeting Link that way. Buuuuut Idk, I've always had an idea of baby Ganondorf (though he'll probably be called something else in the au, something along the lines of Groose) soooo XD

Also I just realized the baby Ganondorf plot is a lot like Willow. Oops. Oh well; 80's fantasy movies my beloved
