if i were to put an image id on my own post, what would be the best way to describe it? like what to put in the id if that makes sense
Usually, it depends on what you're describing. The context is very important. If the people viewing it are intended to notice specific things, those key details are important. For example:
IDs for fanart might usually start off with something like "a traditional/digital drawing, a clay figure, a 2D animation, etc," as you see fit. If the art has lots of detail on the outfit, describe that. Same with color palettes, poses, facial expressions, text, any key details. However, adding excessive amounts of irrelevant details makes it harder for the audience to tell what the focus is. I also prefer to describe any watermarks at the end, but it's not required. Just make sure to specify it's fanart so there's no confusion if it literally happened or not.
IDs for screenshots of tweets or comments usually specify the nickname and username of the poster, date, and content of course. The order of the tweets is also important, especially in situations where someone is quote-retweeting or replying a response. If it can flow like a short conversation, that sounds reasonable. For blogs like mine where we all know the Hermits, just a nickname is alright. The date is appreciated, but specific times don't really need to be added since it's usually inconsistent for other time zones.
Of course, there's still other things that can be described, but those are what I most commonly see.
Adding too many or too little paragraph breaks is another thing to be careful for. Screenreaders can read very quickly, but some prefer to choose lines individually to be read, and having to click a lot isn't ideal. Commas or em dashes are good ways to create separations. Some screen readers pronounce symbols like slashes (which are commonly used to show separation), but even mine doesn't.
I also recommend tagging things like keysmashes, all caps text, lots of emojis/kaomojis, etc. I know some screenreaders pronounce those things differently without the writer intending it to. Even my screen reader pronounces "id" and "ID" differently, as well as certain Hermits' names. Adding punctuation, including capitalization, is very appreciated.
I personally try to format things the same way every time, but there's no "official or required" format. If you accidentally switch it up every now and then, no worries at all! Again, if it gets the point across, it's alright.
I recommend checking out this link, or even looking up tips on tumblr from blogs dedicated to accessibility in general (unlike me, who focuses on a single fandom).
If you'd like me personally to write an ID before you publicly post it, I'd be glad to!

whats the relationship between junkrat and roadhog in the canon of ow?
Junkrat found a treasure in the Omnium and he hired Roadhog to protect him from the people who want to take it from him. They also go on exploits and share their profit 50/50.
Junkrat has voicelines that often tease or annoy Roadhog in some way. Roadhog tends to have lines that are surly silences or telling him to shut up…but he also has lines where he tells Junkrat to take care of himself or not to get hurt.
And they’re thick as thieves, since they travel together looting and burning and blowing shit up. Overwatch’s Twitter, I think, has retweeted art of them as like Timon and Pumba, lmao, so I guess they’re similar to that.
Also in their shared comic, Junkrat got mad at someone for calling Roadhog fat. He like starts yelling that he’s not fat, or, I’m not sure, I’m on mobile and I can’t check.
Anyway. He in general gives off this “this is my buddy” not just his bodyguard vibe. He seems to have a bad memory since he forgot Roadhog’s name but…roadhog does tell him his name instead of just telling him to shut up or not responding.
I think there’s a data mined voice line about Junkrat’s line “you hook em and I’ll cook em!” line.
Roadhogs original response is “shut up” but in the datamined version, Roadhog says “I’ll hook em” to which Junkrat says “and I’ll cook em!”
The roadhog voice actor has also jokingly called Junkrat’s one leg sexy, lmao.
But canonically.
as of right now, I think Junkrat likes roadhog more than he likes him.
But it’s also possibly that roadhog is just a lot less loud about it and he may think of Junkrat as annoying, but his responsibility anyway.
They’re kind of a dynamic duo, since they seem to work great as a partnership, and get into their wild apocalyptic shenanigans but if I’m perfectly honest.
I can’t say roadrat is canon because we don’t have enough evidence.
And if it is, so far, it seems like it’s more on Junkrat’s side than roadhog’s.
I’ll talk more on this later, I’m at lunch

The Value is in the Aesthetics: the Art of the Pokémon TCG
New Twitter account: @ArtofPokemonTCG
Hi guys. So here we are. An account dedicated to celebrating the art of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The idea for this channel was primarily born from my love of, well, the Art of those lovely little rectangles of cardboard (that’s my wife’s description, substituting the word lovely for pointless) that we like to cherish. Some of said pieces of cardboard can even be special, sparkly ones (that’s what I tell my wife as an unexpected package drops through the letterbox and I try to justify spending more than I perhaps should have).
Despite having dabbled in the Online Trading Card Game on and off, I’m not much of a player. I prefer to collect. It all started back in 1999 with Base Set when I was about 12 years old and the Pokémon craze craze swept my school and every other school in Britain. But while I’d like to say I’ve been collecting ever since, the reality was that Pokémon just wasn’t seen as ‘cool’ when heading into your mid to late teens. And thus began my, what adult Lego fans call, Dark Age. But darkness can only have relevance in relation to light and the light was to make a brilliant return in my early 20s when I picked up Pokemon Diamond for DS. It was like picking up where I’d left off with an old girlfriend (my girlfriend at the time wasn’t happy when I described it like that)! But my itch to climb back into card collecting wasn’t scratched until about a year ago. The initial excitement of opening a booster pack came rushing back, followed by a pang of regret at not having the foresight to keep all of my old cards, but the elation at realising I had about 18 years worth of sets and expansions to wade through on eBay. To date there have been 74 total sets/expansions released with the 75th and 76th expansion of the current set due to be released before the end of the year. If we take the cards in those sets plus promos, the TCG now has nigh on 10,000 unique cards, give or take a few for reprints etc. (If anyone knows the precise figure, I’d love to know). Of course, there was no way in hell I was going to collect all of them, as
a) I’m a collector, not a completionist and b) I’m not rolling in cash.
The latter of the two arguably dictates how true the first is. Maybe if Pokémon cards were £0.50 per pack, I might be a completionist. But sadly they’re not that cheap; the reality is that this hobby has if anything become more and more expensive since my glory days in school. Booster packs, booster boxes, collection boxes, pin badge boxes, booster packs, elite trainer boxes. That’s a few hundred quid in that last sentence! Spending is a huge part of collecting in any hobby, but especially in this one. The rarest cards can fetch hundreds of pounds; the extremely limited Pikachu Illustrator Trainer card fetched more than £44,000 at auction. That’s an extreme example. Even if you’ve not got £50k kicking around, gathering dust in your bank account, a well looked-after Base Set Charizard could cost you in the region of £50 these days on the secondary market (shamefully, I traded mine for a holo Scyther after school one day; the excitement upon the release of the Jungle set led to a few silly decisions!) A sought after full art card, depending on rarity and set, can go for a more modest but by no means insubstantial £15 to £20.
So what’s all of this got to do with what this account is setting out to do: celebrating the Art of the Pokémon TCG? Well, there’s much more to collecting Pokémon cards than investment. Arguably, there is just as much enjoyment to be had from this hobby, regardless of whether you have your monthly pocket money to spend or have a full time job that affords you a little disposable income. Actually, I’ll retract part of that statement: Not arguably. Definitely. Regardless of value or rarity, all of the cards that you pull from your £3.99 booster pack are bound by one thing: the love that the illustrators pour into their design and presentation. I’ve always loved the artwork and aesthetics of other media. I’m no stranger to a video game art book and so Pokémon TCG was no different. The owner of my local card shop (sadly now closed as of yesterday) used to even keep a few cards aside for me, just because they might be of interest to me from an aesthetic point of view, and not just for his own commercial gain. But it was on one afternoon in particular that this idea of celebrating the art of the TCG really took root. Following a long spell of not having bought any boosters (13 packs of Burning Shadows in a row without a GX, Full Art or better had left a more than bitter taste in my mouth), I impulsively bought a Break Point blister pack. Blisters are not renowned for their good pulls but it was nicely reduced and I had my mind fixed on one of the many Full Art Mewtwos in that set. Nothing beats the thrill of breaking the seal on a booster, doing the card trick and seeing what happens. But there’s also no worse feeling than pulling three packs of absolute crap, which is exactly what happened. Feeling just that bit more bitter and remembering afresh why I had decided to stop buying booster packs, I decided to pick up my £9 worth of nothing and flick through what I’d pulled. Might as well get my money’s worth, I thought.
That was the moment.
I stopped to actually look at some of these cards more closely: the commons, uncommons, the non holo rares; all cards I would’ve rashly skipped over on my way to see if that elusive EX of any description lay hidden at the back of the pack. But while only lowly common and uncommon cards, some of these were nothing short of stunning with so much care and attention given to render them so vividly and really bring each Pokémon to life. The bitterness subsided and gave way to sadness. Not a '£9 down the drain’ type of sadness but one that spoke of booster pack openers across the world doing exactly the same as me and not giving the lesser cards the attention and love they deserve. And they do deserve it, since their illustrator no doubt devoted just as much attention and love to their design as they hoped we would pour into appreciating them. And I know for one that that doesn’t always happen. The most damning example of this is a recent feeling of disappointment I experienced at only pulling a rare holo from a pack. That was another big moment since I started collecting again. A stop moment. Way back when Base Set fever was sweeping every playground in the land, holos were the pinnacle. I remember being so proud to own my 1st edition Machamp holo, which was dime a dozen since it came in a starter deck. But it was a cool card and I whooped at pulling it as part of the Evolutions reprint again almost 18 years later. So, to go from this to now resenting a holofoil card, just because it wasn’t the EX, GX or Hyper Rare I was craving. It seemed that somewhere along the way a perversion of values had taken place as to what constitutes true satisfaction from a set of pulls. Value, rarity and status had trumped the true value of aesthetics. I know there is some crossover there too though: an ultra rare card can also be truly stunning. I’m not going to lie and say that I now throw all of my ultra rares in the corner because 'look at the pretty colours on this Caterpie’. I have many Full Arts and a few Hyper Rares which I really love. But my point is this: let’s not ignore the Magikarps, the Polywags, the Hoot Hoots, the Mudbrays just because of their circle or diamond symbol. Stop and have a closer look. Think about how someone somewhere thought to capture this particular Pokémon in this particular pose, on this particular backdrop and that that person was fortunate enough to have their work placed on a card for the world to see.
To quote Novellist Julian Barnes:
“Art belongs to everybody and nobody. Art belongs to all time and no time. Art belongs to those who create it and those who savour it.”
Never have truer words been spoken. My hope in creating this account is to celebrate the art across the entire TCG; not only cards across generations but also from Commons to Hyper Rares, not celebrating their status as such but rather what our senses first latch onto above all else: their aesthetic value. I hope to do this through posting pictures, offering personal reflection on selected cards while also inviting you to share with me your highlights from the TCG.
Thanks for reading and enjoy. Please follow, like and retweet. Spread the word. Art belongs to everyone. Pokémon can too. And you don’t even have to catch 'em all to do it!

Alternative Media: Chris Webby
Background: Christian Webster, better known as Chris Webby, is an independent recording artist specializing in rap and hip-hop music. Chris Webby made his debut in Norwalk, Connecticut in 2009 with the release of his first mixtape, The White Noise LP. This album contained popular tracks such as Trust Me, Mamacita, and the first of many stoner songs, La La La. He began admiring rappers like Eminem in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, which influenced him greatly. Currently, Chris has 1 million monthly Spotify listeners (Chris Webby, Spotify 2019) and 174 thousand followers on Instagram (Chris Webby, Instagram 2019). Prior to the development of Soundcloud and Spotify, where he now releases new music, he would hand out and sell mixtapes anywhere he went. Over the next ten years, Chris Webby’s music would change as the artist grows and matures as a person. When he first began his career, he would rap about common things like drinking (Cuz I’m Drunk), drugs (La La La), and women (What Them Girls Like) in an upbeat way that glorified bad behavior. While he still does this, in some of his more recent releases, he discusses the same topics, but in a very different light. This can be seen in his songs such as Fragile Lives, On My Way, and So Free. Throughout his career he has worked with numerous other up-and-coming artists like Mac Miller (I Need a Dolla) and Tech N9ne (Ohh Noo). Regardless of where his career takes him, he will always be a Connecticut homebody. He began performing his first shows at a local venue call Toad’s Place, in New Haven, CT. He hosts an annual show on Black Friday at this location. He has most recently revived a previous unique marketing technique which he calls Webby Wednesday. Every other week Chris will release a new track on Wednesday, via Soundcloud. Having this current release of music helps keep fans interested, waiting to see what’s next.
Why is he Alternative: There are many different definitions for the for the words “alternative media”. Merriam-Webster Dictionary entry 2a states that the definition of media is “the plural of medium:a mode of artistic expression or communication” and alternative is “different from the usual or conventional: existing or functioning outside the established cultural, social, or economic system.” Chris Webby meets these definitions in the way he has established his music career. During his brief time as a student at Hofstra University, he was arrested in connection with a failed robbery involving cocaine and expelled. Following the incident, he focused on pursuing his musical talents. In 2009, Chris Webby produced his first mixtape (The White Noise LP). In order to get his name out, he would handout and sell tapes from the trunk of his car. Even after generating some buzz, Chris was never able to find a record label to sign him. He dedicated his career to being 100% independent. He put money into purchasing high-end recording equipment, and set off on his own. Similar to the way that Mac Miller has Big Jerm, Chris also has a crew of managers and other artists and DJ’s that have been supporting him since the beginning. Being an independent artist means that Chris Webby reaps all the rewards of the seeds he sows. He doesn’t have a record label controlling his content or taking cuts of his profits. With that being said, most of Chris’ profits are put back into his career in the form of new tours. He is currently doing the Raw Thoughts 2 tour in Canada. In definition 2b, Merriam-Webster also goes on to write that “relating to, or being music of a genre other than rock that is similarly regarded as an alternative to the conventional music of that genre.” This definition also applies to Chris when considering his music. For example, he uses a unique vocabulary. According to his own words, he hits them “with these crazy adverbs and outrageous nouns” (Best in the ‘Burbs 2010). This can be seen with lyrics like “I just killed another bottle And took another pill, now I'm going full throttle Keep hating, Hakuna Matata's my motto I brush em off like a paleontologist with a fossil” (Chilly, Chris Webby 2014). Chris Webby has also been very controversial with lyrics aimed at offending other rappers. In songs like Not Like Me, he says “All I need is gym shorts and a stock white t, f*** swag, I'm gonna show you why they not like me, I've had it with rap, ya'll rappers are whack, All that I'm hearing is stacking up cash, and strippers, and bottles, and fatness of a**, Who's f*****g buying this crap? So I'm giving ya’ll something new, the s*** I do Ain't never been seen by a kid like you, Inked up white dude with an attitude, hate on, I ain't mad at you.” Another controversial aspect is his content. Specifically, Questionnaire. On this track Chris asks a lot of questions about life and why thing are the way that they are. He covers many topics like rap, generational differences, the environment, politics, drugs and race. This is by far his most influential track. It features lyrics like “Why are there politicians? I guess the better question is why don't they ever listen? Why do they always have to lie to us? Why does the news just try to stir the fear inside of us? What do they really have to hide from us? Why are blind men leading other blind men With ignorance in office and armies standing behind them?” (Questionnaire, Chris Webby 2017). He has publicly shown his disdain of President Donald Trump, specifically during the 2016 Presidential election (Twitter, March 02, 2016 HERE). He writes that it was “funny at first, but now it’s not”. While Chris does not support President Trump, he is also critical of slander and the sources that it comes from (Twitter, Jan 22, 2019 HERE). In this tweet, he goes on to criticize George Soros, stating that “there are two sides to everything”.
Fan culture: A fan can be defined as “an enthusiastic devotee (as of a sport or a performing art) usually as a spectator.” (Merriam-Webster). Chris Webby’s fans are so devoted to seeing Chris Webby perform live, that some of them travel hundreds of miles to attend his shows. Chris once retweeted a fan who actually flew three hours to see him! I even drove three hours from Massachusetts to Connecticut just to see his annual Black Friday show. In addition to fans buying tickets to see him, they also buy additional meet-and-greet passes. When these fans get to meet their idol, they often present him with handmade pictures, t-shirts, among other things. Fans also get the opportunity to take a picture with Chris Webby. Some fans also present Chris with their own rapping skills. He features the most impressive ones on his Instagram story. Being able to connect with your idol on that level strengthens the fans devotion by giving them a sense of relationship. Chris Webby’s music appeals to people who struggle, and is usually designed to influence positivity. His fans also share a sense of community. When attending his shows, the fans share everything. From drinks, to joints, no one goes without. When Webby finally hits the stage, he starts to spit bars immediately. He really enjoys putting on a show for his fans. If Chris see’s someone recording in the front row, he will go right up to them and perform into their camera. Capturing a moment like that is an amazing feeling. At any point in the future, being able to go back to that moment and experience it all over again is incredible.
Conclusion: In conclusion, Chris Webby is a 100% independent recording artists based in Norwalk, CT. He uses his artistic talents to not only produce amazing and upbeat tracks, but also to send positive messages to his audience. Chris can be classified as “alternative media” both in the way he launched and maintained his music career, and his content on songs like Questionnaire. Chris Webby is a personal favorite of mine, and I definitely recommend joining the fanbase. Come to the dark side!

Can we all work on our control hands a bit? It's like driving a car. Get a sheet of paper and cover it with scribbles, vertical lines and horizontal lines, they way you probably used to draw as a child. All these exercises are meant to relax you so you don't start telling yourself "I can't draw, this is too hard". it's s not. You just need some practise. Re: Let's Draw! Redmosquito, I see you...
Hey, you could go to Artworld and buy a sketchpad for like N1,000. Or some shops in VI sell for N500. But you get limited sheets in that sketchpad (like 30). What I can do, is for those coming for the Drawing class, is buy you sheets of paper, A1 size, at N7/sheet. Most art students divide those sheets into half or more sizes and make their own sketchpads with hardbacks or a plywood or masonite board backing, for support. Not only can you add more sheets to that sketchpad, it's reusable and will cost you much less than a pre-made one and can take over 200 sheets. So it lasts longer. Re: Let's Draw! there's no image attached, dear. Re: Let's Draw! A Hand (Lessons on how to draw) by Onegai(f): 10:29pm On Nov 08, 2013 How's it going so far? Do you believe that the world is full of shapes? Not yet? Okay.
Scientists (people who have more time and better facilities on their hands than the average Naija person, sadly) have discovered that every child has a good sense of Drawing and Perspective, but around the primary school learning age, over half of them begin to lose their ability to draw well. They realised that loss in Drawing ability coincided (big word for jammed) with when children began to learn the words of things around them. They theorised that as children grew up and used the more analytical part of their brain, the visioning part of the brain slowed down.
In plain english, the more you think, the less you see. Simple. Look at driving a car and talking on the phone, your brain CAN'T do two simultaneous, opposite things at the same time. Most drivers react well to sudden difference on the road: their foot hits the brakepad without them looking. Because driving is mostly instinct. Same with drawing, same with playing musical instruments. Those are movements based on instinct. You've done it so much, your brain can do it without you looking. Shey una remember that trick we all play on NL, "if you this read correctly, you read it wrong". That's instinct, your mind has filled in the gap for you, so you don't have to read the sentence.
That's why you cannot draw a hand properly unless you've been drawing for a while or I tell you to draw shapes. Because the minute you look at your hand to draw, your brain fills your mind with an image of what it THINKS the hand looks like, you draw that, and then go "ah ah, but this is not how my hand was, I can't draw".
I'm going to prove this to you, with our next drawing challenge. Re: Let's Draw! A Hand (Lessons on how to draw) by Onegai(f): 10:36pm On Nov 08, 2013 CHALLENGE 2: Ladies and gentlemen, please draw the following image the way it is posted, upside down. DO NOT ROTATE IT TO THE RIGHT ORIENTATION, just use your eye, measure a rectangle box and use that as the borders of your drawing, look at the picture, notice the chair is touching a particular point at the border of the picture, on your paper, locate that point, draw the chair. Continue to do so for all parts of the image.
If the scientists are right, (and they are), you will draw that picture I posted better than if it was upright in the nomal position. I presented this challenge to my mum, who has never drawn in her life, and she did well. You should have seen her laugh. So please, no erasings (I left my own mistakes for you all to see), take your time, take 30 minutes and carefully do it the way I described, and for your own sakes, don't rotate the picture to what you expect a picture to be, draw it upside down. A Hand (Lessons on how to draw) by Onegai(f): 10:47pm On Nov 08, 2013 You will draw any picture upside well, because your analytical part of your brain DOES NOT understand what it seeing, and therefore cannot tell you "that is a woman in buba sitting down". Because it isn't telling you what to see, the visional or sensory side of your brain takes over and you see shapes and you draw shapes. Shapes are not scary to draw, everybody drew shapes as a child and your brain remembers how easy and relaxed that time was, sees clearly and you draw. Now, if I had said "let's draw a woman", a lot of us would have sweated in fear.
If you don't do the drawing upside down, that's your own method. However, this upside-down method has far repercussions. You wanna learn how to paint well (and not what I see here, that people call paintings), do it upside-down and eventually, you'll understand the concept behind the exercises that seemingly don't make sense. 2 Likes 1 ShareRe: Let's Draw!
