#REMINDER THAT IT IS NOT JUST KAFU

Is no one else concerned about the songs on KAFU’s profile that don’t have any producers listed with them?
The Hatsune Miku profile has a few of them too I think, where the artist is just voice synth. Does anyone else know why they’re not credited or where they come from? Are they made by members of her company? I get how posting music onto a much more popular account will get more eyes to it, but surely these people want don’t want to remain anonymous, maybe these are artists who don’t want to be credited? I know making an account to post music on Spotify is tedious too, and I know it’s possible for other people to hack\access another account without permission, is it obviously that though? I’m worried they’re somehow generated? Spotify has a lot of trouble with AI generated music being uploaded to popular profiles, but all the ones I’ve found actually do seem to use KAFU and sound too good to be AI. They could also be covers of pre-existing songs that I just don’t know. I can’t have been the only person to ask this, so sorry if it’s repetitive, I don’t really like KAFU either I just like finding as much voice synth music as I can. And a lot of them sound completely different so I struggle to believe it’s one person.
(That’s the gist of it but you can keep reading if you’d like 💖)
I ask because there’s a couple I really like that I want to see translations of, which I’m sure I can find without asking this, but it doesn’t seem right that these people aren’t being credited. Isn’t something to do with KAFU’s company commissioning people? I know they’ve done that before but then why does it look like no one else cares about the lack of credit. Makes me think there’s a big list of artists somewhere or something. These uncredited KAFU songs are still being uploaded to this day. I assume the art in the album covers is stock imagery or generated too, since I can’t find any credit of that either. I’d reverse image search if I could. And like, actually put the names of the songs into Google to translate or look for any info.
I tried this with an uncredited album called “blocks”. The title is in English and so are all the songs, so I think that’ll be the easiest to find. Yet I got nothing other than the Spotify link and the autogenerated(?) audios on YouTube, which are also just on the KAFU topic.
It’s not hard to find these, I think more than half of the songs on KAFU’s profile are uncredited though I haven’t actually looked. It just annoys me so maybe it seems like more to me idk.
If there’s an answer please link me to it, or if someone else has already asked. I hope this is already an ongoing thing, though I think it’ll be really boring when solved. Interact if you want someone to properly investigate this 🥺I dunno. When searching “KAFU uncredited” in Google I didn’t get any other posts about it.
EXAMPLES AND INFO THAT I COULD FIND:
My favourite uncredited Kafu songs are called, when put through deepl, “Christmas Rose”, “From Liebe/From Leave”, “mermaid”, and “Unsold Lullaby”, the last of which I have managed to find an artist called “Kristallo” for. All their other songs use Kafu but have Kristallo credited as a secondary artist. This lullaby one is the only one that doesn’t I think. This makes me think it may be the case for a lot of others, but Christmas Rose and mermaid are common song names to pinpoint (there are at least two other mermaids featuring Kafu, both are credited but neither of them are this strange one. There’s also Haribote by namigroove which is uploaded to one of their Spotifys (they have a separate English one?) but is also on KAFU’s profile as a separate song (the title isn’t in romaji) without namigroove credited. This could also be the case for some others again. Another weird thing is that when searching Kafu in a playlist with any of these songs in, they don’t come up. All I get is ones from the KAF YOU album. I wondered if there were different Kafu profiles but I could only find one where all of these songs are uploaded too. But when searching for them under Kafu they just don’t appear. That’s probably sone unrelated glitch though.
#kafu#kafu cevio#vocaloid mystery#uncredited#uncredited music#spotify#question#vocaloid producer#vocaloid lost media#namigroove#can we solve this together#does anybody care#I think you might have to ask the company about some of them#it annoys me how there is surely good music hidden there but there’s just so much and I have no way of knowing what could be a banger#I don’t even like Kafu#I don’t want to listen to Kafu unless it’s a banger a lot of these would be so much better if they didn’t use Kafu#WOULDNT IT BE EPIC IF THEY WERE PROBABLY RELEASED WITH ANOTHER VOICE AND NO ONE KNEW THEY EXIST BEFOREHAND#it’d be so cool if the Kafu mystery was just people practicing or teasing#REMINDER THAT IT IS NOT JUST KAFU#I really should be looking into the miku ones but hers don’t look as mysterious from face value like you’ll know what I mean#kafu mystery

OH MY GOD this song is FUCKING PEAK. vocaloid meta songposting is BACK BABY and like haru isn't out yet so ???? but holy shit this is amazing. this is peak vocaloid. kafu calling herself hot shit. the "marshall maximizer" lyric reference, probably other lyrics i didn't get. the miku diss. curry udon reference. the cevios themselves demanding another voicebank and referring to "master." it has everything. it's like those other meta/skit songs from the classic era but SO much more is updated. the voices themselves are INCREDIBLE and the music production too. this is absolutely peak. i don't care what anyone says
#vocaloid#kafu#haru#cevio#kamitsubaki#virtual isotope phenomenon#miku diss reminds me of rettou joutou among other things#also like? idk what the situation is with haru but like#kamitsubaki just lending her out to people before her release and they just do this shit is sofunny to me#THIS ISN'T LIKE? Round 1 Has Finished!
Thank you all for voting! Some of the results are not what I expected while others are exactly what I thought they would be. Either way, it was an exciting time.
If you would like a breakdown of each winner along with occasional bit of commentary, it will be below the read more. Otherwise, the next round will start in a few days!
Macne Nana (87.5%)
Koharu Rikka (62.1%)
LUMi (60.6%)
Camui Gakupo (70.5%) - I’ll admit, I’m a bit surprised how low in votes Kiritan was. She’s decently popular in Japan, so I kinda thought it would translate here.
Sweet ANN (81.3%)
Kevin (69.7%)
Yamine Renri (59.5%)
COKO (73.9%)
AZUKI (53.8%) - Really now. Zunko lost to Azuki of all vocals.
Rana (82.4%)
Maika (93.5%) - For the longest time it’s was 100% for Maika, which made me laugh when I saw that.
Kizuna Akari (57.7%) - So, apparently it’s ZHIYU Moke. I had his photo saved as Zhiyun, autocorrect says Zhiyun and I have always referred to him as Zhiyun. I’m so sorry Zhiyu Moke fans, I’ve failed you.
flower (80%)
Otomachi Una (77.5%)
Macne Papa (69.6%)
Chis-A (79.2%)
Marie Ork (62.5%) - This was probably the most obscure face-off.
galaco (84.8%)
Tonio (79.3%)
An Xiao (58.3%)
RUBY (70%)
SeeU (88.2%)
BIG AL (53.1%)
CUL (51.3%) - This was such a close match, the lead swapped a few times. I think the difference might only be two votes.
Lily (54.7%) - I love Lily, but I really expected all the Crypton vocals to pass at least the first round.
Yuezheng Ling (59.3%)
IA (86.2%)
Sato Sasara (68.2%)
DEX (80%)
Chiyu (92%) - I had to be reminded of Ginsaki’s existence when making this blog. I remembered the Vocalina girls more than him, which probably says something.
YOHIOloid (61.5%) - Of the two controversial Vocaloids, I did think Lapis would be more popular because of her design at the very least.
Kotonoha Aoi & Akane (71.9%) - I’m a little sad I couldn’t separate Akane and Aoi into their own spots on the bracket, but they literally have the same voice. It’s arbitrary which one is singing, which always saddens me.
Xingchen Minus (81.5%)
SF-A2 miki (87.9%)
Tone Rion (51.5%) - I wish they never changed Rion’s design. I loved the moe idol maid look. And the purple hair.
Natsuki Karin (67.9%)
Ryuto (82.5%)
Sachiko (65.8%) - Kinda surprised the enka vocal beat the versatile English male vocal, but maybe Jun is just too obscure...
Megurine Luka (85.7%)
AiKO (85.7%)
ASTERIAN (83.8%)
OLIVER (78.8%)
YUU (66.7%)
Kaai Yuki (75.6%) - I love how, of all the AHS vocals not named Yukari, Yuki is the vocal that gets new songs on NicoNico. And she’s the child vocal.
Tsurumaki Maki (56.4%)
unity-chan! (71%) - Is it because she has a design? Because I literally don’t think I’ve ever heard a song with her.
Genbu (60%) - This was the first tie. Kinda didn’t think that would happen until a later round.
Fuiro (53.7%) - Really?! I’m absolutely baffled by this result. Is there just an appeal for Fuiro’s edgy look?
Mo Qingxian (78.6%) - Kinsaki has even more votes than Ginsaki and yet I also forgot about her.
Cong Zheng (59.3%)
Mayu (85.7%)
Hatsune Miku (73%) - Poor Nemu never had a chance. The vote was closer than I expected though.
AVANNA (91.2%)
kanon (77.4%)
Yuma (51.2%) - Why was this so close?
Hiyama Kiyoteru (72.2%) - How did I get his name backwards? I checked the wiki and everything...
Haiyi (51%)
Kagamine Rin (77.1%)
Prima (77.4%)
Luo Tianyi (92.3%)
MEIKO (81.8%)
Chika (78.4%)
Yuezheng Longya (65.7%)
VY1 (86%)
MEIKA Hime (79.1%)
Nekomura Iroha (76.3%) - This actually shocked me. KAFU is so popular on NicoNico, she gets at least one new song in the top 20 every week. She’s even getting a SynthV! Iroha, to my knowledge, never had that level of popularity. The NicoNico-Tumblr disconnect really shows sometimes, huh?
Kagamine Len (65%)
Kasane Teto (88.7%)
GUMI (83.6%)
SONiKA (51.9%)
SOLARIA (90.2%)
Po-uta (85.4%) - ... Is he actually popular? As someone who doesn’t like Porter Robinson really follow YouTube original songs, I don’t see him pop up on my feeds.
ROSE (54.8%)
VY2 (60%) - I put VY1 in the poll itself. I’m an idiot. I really hope that didn’t actually effect the vote. Also, kokone is probably my favorite vocal design. I don’t really know why, but I really love her appearance.
MEIKA Mikoto (88.7%) - I actually forgot to capitalize the MEIKA for both of the plum siblings. I’m such a fake fan.
YANHE (95.7%) - None of the V5 or V6 standard vocals passed this round, which probably indicates how well liked they are.
Yuzuki Yukari (75.9%)
Haruno Sora (65.3%) - Surprised about this one, but I’m also glad I won’t have to copy that weird N thing with ONE again. Copying the unique symbols in some of the vocals really is something I don’t recommend.
Utatane Piko (88.5%) - If you haven’t heard AiSuu, it’s a unique experience. Her voice is so not what I expected when looking at her design.
Mirai Komachi (56.3%) - The only isotope vocal to continue on is COKO, who I think is the least popular of the four released vocals. Fascinating.
Eleanor Forte (69.5%)
Xuan Yu (80%)
L♀LA (65.2%)
Fukase (75.8%) - I know ALYS is an obscure vocal from an obscure engine, but still. I expect the pretty lady to beat the burnt boy, not get destroyed in the vote.

The Hermit and The Dreams
Twistober Day 14: Diasomnia?
Brief Summary: KAFU remind Diasomnia of someone that they met before.
The first time Lilia met KAFU, it was during the Ceremony.
Now as much as he liked to meet them, there was something wrong with them. Maybe it was how they only had one horn at the left, maybe it was how they didn't remember anything beside their name.
No, it was the sentences the Mirror once said about them: "This child, they have the soul of a misfortune fate. The soul of a karmanic illusion."
But even so, Malleus found KAFU a nice individual. They often talk to eachother and get along pretty well. They even gifted him a drawing just like Shirokami, which he treasured it. So he ignored the bad feeling about that Secondary Prefect.
Until Sebek and Sliver told him about their dream: About a young witch with bright crimson hair, burning everything into her wrath. She was mad, she was a maniac. But the worst thing, was that she looked vaguely similar to KAFU...and Sebek at the same time.
Lilia knew who they were talking about. He met someone like that before, the "Red Meteor of Pride" Divianta.. At that time he realized something.
Divianta was carrying a small child, and it was KAFU's older sister. Sebek's ancestor.

can i cheat and say kafu? 🤡
YES GIRL I WANTED SOMEONE TO SEND HER SO BAD THANK YOU 🤍 (going crazy cause the blorboid has been sent)
Name a Vocaloid Cevio in my askbox! I will tell you...
My favorite song of theirs
I cannot pick just one here. Beatnik Boi and Furachi na Kassai both by Police Piccadilly have a special place in my heart. The first one reminds me of one of my favorite characters and the second makes me feel melancholic in a good way. Both have Kafu sounding very human and emotional, ready to break in tears at any moment
I ALSO GOTTA MENTION MY BLOG'S THEME: CH4NGE by Giga. The composition is on point and catchy, as expected from him, and the illustration ohmygodOHMYGOD!!! kafu sounds so cool. she is so cool.
Okay last one. Henshin by Nanahoshi Kangen Gakudan. It's awesome to let go off steam cause it's very explosive.
Who I ship them with
Hatsune Miku cause I made up a whole story about them in my head ( ´ ▽ ` ).。o♡ where Miku gets lowkey jealous of how Kafu got mad popular so quickly, cause she doesnt want to be robbed of her queen of vocaloid/vocal synthesizers title by a newcomer. she acts like she couldnt care less though. meanwhile kafu is completely oblivious to this and just keeps doing her thing, until miku one day decides to actually attend one of her concerts/meet her in person. AND THEN... she's flabbergasted cause kafu is just one tiny lovely little ouppy (real) ‼️‼️ and she's like omg im a horrible person how could i think such things about her she is so precious and her voice is so beautiful i never heard anything like that before... and kafu is shocked as well cause mf HATSUNE MIKU WENT TO SEE HER ?? mutual pining ensues.
SORRY THIS SO LONG I JUST KAFUZKLDLQKA727YDHS
My favorite part about their design
her hair clips :]
A random headcanon I have of them
to me she and her voice provider kaf have a similar relationship to the official one of rin and len, so i see them like two sides of a coin.
#i dont have any kafu sticker so putting a kaf one qjwjhqgq#THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO RANT ABOUT THE KOFI#not like you had a choice but. lmao#ask game#honeycaat

March 1, 2023
Um, somehow NicoNico got a bit of a resurgence, mostly because YouTube and Twitch have been falling flat lately, but also two songs reached the Hall of Myth, so this list is going to get a bit longer for the foreseeable future. I’m not sure if I’m happy or not.
#758 - Shadow Shadow (Azari) [Flower]
Achievement Date: 23-02-05, Upload Date: 21-09-27
The resurgent ‘blank’ composer has finally landed on this list with their second song. The song really sells itself with its personality, and I think it’s a good illustration of Azari’s work, although they kind of moved away from that with their later songs.
#759 - Rapunzel (n-buna) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 23-02-09, Upload Date: 16-07-06
One of my favorite n-buna songs, actually. It is odd because it feels like this is one of n-buna’s more famous songs, but it took quite some time to reach a million. Yeah, honestly I could recommend this song as a n-buna starter, because it’s slow, but not achingly so… although the lyrics are achingly sad. It’s a nice combo.
#760 - Dilemma (DECO*27) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 23-02-09, Upload Date: 22-03-09
I do love DECO*27, and I do like his Mannequin album, but this song… the lyrics are just way too cringe. But cringy breakup songs are DECO*27’s sweet spot, so I can’t help but say that this song is still good. Yeah, this has its place, I guess.
#761 - Closet Room (Riruo) [GUMI, Flower]
Achievement Date: 23-02-11, Upload Date: 21-04-24
This year’s Melody prize(?), as in this song got featured in NicoNico adverts and then well people went ahead and listened to it because it’s not a bad song this time! Hurray! Honestly, reminds me of people like Hayashida (that’s coming up later) / older Teniwoha / Yuukisan in that kind of speaking rhythm with sparse but loud instrumentation, but the GUMI/Flower makes it more modern… yeah, this is not a bad song.
#762 - Taste of Cockroach (MARETU) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 23-02-11, Upload Date: 21-04-24
Maretu goes Vocarock, like Last Note? Well, it’s a bit different because it’s his song after basically a year and a half. The song is about bullying, you know forcing someone to eat a cockroach type of stuff? Yeah, there is a Slipknot at the end, by the way. Honestly, this is one of Maretu’s best work, and I think not a bad entry (or re-entry) into his work!
#763 - Moonwalk Fever (Hinata Denko) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 23-02-18, Upload Date: 16-12-03
Finally Hinata Denko has their third song, their penultimate song. Huh, use of Moonlight Sonata in the beginning? Well, the rest of the song is your typical Hinata Denko work. You can’t go wrong with them, but it’s not anything special, just another superb song.
#764 - Bug (Kairiki Bear) [Kagamine Len, Nightcord at 25:00]
Achievement Date: 23-02-20, Upload Date: 22-08-24
Yes, the first ProSeca version to reach this list, and therefore I will exclude from actual analysis other than just remarking it’s a Len song! I think that’s a fun turn.
#765 - Marshmary (MIMI) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 23-02-22, Upload Date: 18-01-04
One of the latest female producers to make the scene, there have been many lovers but it took some time for the producer to make an appearance. This song is a good illustration of why people love her work, that light piano with a bright tuning and instrumentation that will make your spirits up while being comfy.
#C-12 - Sekai-chan and Kafu-chan's Errand Song (Minami no Nami)[Kafu, Sekai, Kiritan]
Achievement Date: 23-02-25, Upload Date: 22-10-08
The song that got put into ProSeca instead of the Iyowa song, which is… good, since songs like these deserve to be in rhythm games. Minami no Nami makes ridiculously out there songs using CeVIO voices, and I really like them. It's worth a listen.

Weekly Vocajournal #13 (29/8 - 04/9)
A lot of Miku songs last week preceding Miku's birthday, and even more Miku songs when it happened this week. Some old names coming back, one of which is:
youtube
HachioujiP/8#Prince, kz(livetune) - Glimmer (ft. Hatsune Miku)
Outside of maybe a Proseka commission, I genuinely wasn't expecting livetune to come back at all, so this was a pleasant surprise. It's kinda weird hearing a livetune melody without the livetune tuning, but it still works.
toa - Eater (ft. RIME)
My favorite out of the 2 toa songs released this week. The waltz rhythm and RIME's calm voice pulled me into a dreamy fantasy. Also, I am now sold on RIME as a voicebank.
Yugika - EauDeAsti (ft. Hatsune Miku)
A complete opposite in tone from their last release, here we have a stylish, tropical pop tune. A kombucha girl meme is appropriate here, since I can't believe they pulled off their usual super-raspy tuning on a beat like this.
yanagamiyuki - misery ai (ft. KAFU)
His first KAFU work, short but hits the mark. Putting her on a more laid-back beat (reminds me of Kaiju no Shima2, especially how it opens with strings) is a great choice.
ZLMS (Zig, Loin, Harumaki Gohan, Yunosuke) - I Need Blue (ft. Hatsune Miku)
ZLMS is a good demonstration of one of the things I enjoy about Vocaloid music: How different the same voicebank can sound in different hands. The very Yunosuke drop before the bridge was enjoyable too.
BetaBoy - リーベカプセルの転結原理 (ft. Yamine Renri)
I've only listened to BetaBoy for a couple months, but they're slowly becoming one of my faves in UTAU electropop/future bass, and just electronic music in general. Love the piano and the present kicks, and Renri shines by being soft without getting lost in the instrumentals.
Re:nG - Anata ni Hana o, Watashi ni Uta o (15 years ver.) (ft. Hatsune Miku)
The Clean Tears remix of the original was one of my foundational Vocaloid songs, and having grown to love the original as well, it was great to see a remaster after all this time. All the sounds are now crisper and more well defined, although I have to say that I actually like how rounded and softer Miku was in the original. Definitely a step-up in all other aspects.
Other Cool Stuff
Inuwata - Bakeneko Machi (ft. Yuzuki Yukari)
keeno - 青を焚べて (ft. Hatsune Miku)
Kanzaki Hiro/HSP - Mirai no Sekai (ft. Hatsune Miku)
daniwell - MIKUFLA (ft. Hatsune Miku)
Kariki Bear - Starry Start (ft. Hatsune Miku): 15th anniversary figure collab with spiritale
HoneyWorks - Hooray (ft. Hatsune Miku, MEIKO): Pocari Sweat collab. Proseka ver. here.
kinoshita - GAO-GAO-GAA! (ft. Kagamine Rin)
Astrophysics - Miku is the Perfect Girl (ft. Hatsune Miku)
catnap - Ondo (ft. Hatsune Miku, catnap)
R Sound Design - Cattleya (ft. Hatsune Miku)
IDONO KAWAZU - Suou no Meisatsu (ft. Kagamine Rin)

Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? ~Sing For You~ BD review
It’s been a while since the new Gochiusa OVA has been released and everyone probably already watched it through various means, which is good since I will discuss some of the content in this review, so if you don’t want any spoilers, watch the OVA first.
So, I’ve got a limited edition Sing For You Blu-Ray ordered on Amazon with no store bonus, and it cost me 5660 yen + shipping. It comes in a nice thick box, the same size as Dear My Sister BD and thicker than Season 1 BD BOX. Which reminds me, did I ever do a Dear My Sister BD review? I thought I did for sure, but I can’t find anything... Anyway, let’s see what’s inside!
The disks are contained in a special 3-fold packaging which initially looks like Cocoa/Chiya are on the front cover, but it folds out so you can see all the characters divided into sub-units (Furimawasare-tai, Chimame-tai and Furimaware-tai). There are also three booklets including a disk guide, script and a hardcover(!) score for Komorebi Seishunfu, one of the songs from OVA.
The included disks are Sing For You Blu-ray itself, a DVD-ROM with “high-definition audio” (basically it contains a bunch of .wav files!) and a regular CD Mix For You, which is a DJ mix produced by PandaBoY. It’s not often that you see Blu-ray, DVD and CD in the same packaging.
Let’s look at the booklets. The disk guide shows various costumes used in the episode, with commentary by Maya, Megu and Tippy. There’s also an interview with director Hiroyuki Hashimoto, producer Kentaro Hattori and sound producer Naotaka Fukihira. And also song lyrics and track lists for the 2 musical disks.
Next, just like with Dear My Sister, there’s a script book which is very useful if you’re like me and can read Japanese better than listen to it. The top half describes what happens on the screen and the bottom half is the characters’ lines.
Next we have the crown jewel of SFY limited edition blu-ray packaging which is a hardcover sheet music book containing the chorus arrangement of Komorebi Seishunfu. There are only 12 pages, but it feels very expensive. In the score there are four vocal melodies, which are Main Vocal (=Chino), Soprano, Mezzo Soprano and Alto, and there’s Piano accompaniment. The lyrics for vocal parts are written in hiragana. By the way, the lyrics are quite poetic and expand on the metaphor of “sunlight through the trees” representing “sheet music of our youth” which makes it rather fitting that an actual sheet music is provided.
Now a few words about the OVA itself. The first thing you might notice is that it’s quite short, just slightly longer than a regular episode, and it adapts only one chapter of the original manga (vol. 5 ch. 8 “Cup of Chino”). The animation apart from a few scenes doesn’t particularly stand out either, so you might wonder why couldn’t have this been a regular episode? Well the official answer is that a lot of songs had to be recorded for it. All the songs featured in the OVA, including Cocoa’s bread song, have a fully recorded version. Komorebi Seishunfu was recorded with Suginami Junior Choir. Some songs were reused though, such as Sharo/Rize and Cocoa/Chiya song. Interestingly while Sing a Song Poyapoya Melody is considered to be a “theme song” for this OVA, it’s not actually used in it (in fact there’s no OP song at all), except on Blu-Ray menu as an instrumental. However Petit Rabbit’s and Chimame-tai versions of this song are included on Disk 2.
The episode opens with a flashback sequence with little Chino humming a song which would clearly become plot relevant later, but also take note of Tippy’s eyebrows there. There’s a bit of inconsistency with the original Tippy depiction, because in s1e9 flashback Tippy looks identical to the current form, but in the manga at some point Koi have decided to draw original Tippy with different eyebrows and now it’s reflected in the anime version as well. Although maybe Tippy’s eyebrow change is related to Saki Kafuu’s passing somehow?
When Chiya’s grandmother calls her “modern-day Scheherazade”, this is a reference to Chiya’s name (千夜) having its roots in Japanese title for 1001 Nights (千夜一夜物語).
Another reference is Aoyama Blue Mountain referring to rakugo story Sanpo Ichiryoson (三方一両損, ”three sides lost 1 ryo [old unit of currency]”). In it, a character finds a wallet with 3 ryo and tries to return it to the owner, but the owner, being a true Tokyoite refuses. The guy who found it, also being a true Tokyoite insists on returning the wallet. Eventually they end up in front of the judge, who pitches in 1 ryo and gives 2 ryo to each. The guy who found the wallet found 3 ryo, but got 2 ryo, losing 1 ryo. The guy who lost the wallet also got back 2 ryo instead of 3 ryo, losing 1 ryo. And the judge also lost 1 ryo in the process.
Before the OVA was released, Nana Mizuki was announced as the voice of Saki Kafu. Nana Mizuki was basically an idol to Inori Minase (even her stage name is similar to Nana’s) so the casting is quite appropriate. However she doesn’t have any speaking lines until the very end of the OVA. In fact the first time we hear her voice is the song Gin no Spoon (”Silver Spoon”) which also serves as an ED. In the song she basically wishes for happiness of her daughter, Chino. This is also the song Chino hums in the beginning. In the ED they sing as a duet, but the original Saki Kafu single is also included on the music DVD. I thought the ending was quite moving and unexpected following the silly shenanigans of the OVA. Chino’s mother appears a few more times in the manga, even with speaking lines so I wonder if Nana Mizuki will come back for season 3.
By the way, did you notice that the flashback scenes have a different, wider aspect ratio? But just before the ED it switches to standard 16:9 ratio again.
Anyway, that was Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?? ~Sing For You~ and now let’s look forward to the new season of Gochiusa in 2020!

[Breaks into your house again] you should talk about adachi rei. For the ask game
YAYYYY okay i'm putting this one below a cut cause i go on for a while i love rei fuck (frothing at the mouth)
favorite song: oh god it's a tie between NIKOTTE by 稲むり and Heat Abnormal by iyowa, but i'm going to use nikotte as my one allotted youtube video for this post because everyone who likes adachi rei knows heat abnormal and no one knows nikotte. i was sent nikotte by a friend a while back and i just fell in love with it and am always coming back to it, its a massive standout for me, and well. heat abnormal is heat abnormal. it's just too fucking good, iyowa is too good HSDJFSD that being said picdo is my favorite adachi rei user (this isn't surprising, he's such a passionate adachi rei user and it shows in his work) and i REALLY like this cover that uses rei (honorable mention to light speed drift by frog96 even though it's very teto heavy, it uses adachi rei)
youtube
ships: TETO. DEFOKO. KAFU. literally the fucking triad i keep pairing all the robot girls with each other but honestly you could convince me to ship rei with most vsynths i think. idk how to explain it she would just be good with like anyone. i also just love rei so much so this is a bonus i'm more likely to put mental energy into imagining her in Situations and Scenarios including shipping. oh yeah i also ship rei and rime but that's kind of a crackship i don't have an explanation for that. i should draw art of them sometime though
favorite part of design: okay instead of being normal about this question i need to remind you all real quick that rei was designed in such a way that her creator could make a real life android of her (BY HIMSELF BY THE WAY. JUST IN HIS HOUSE) and he's getting pretty close to completion. LOOK at this its SO FUCKING COOL (her head isn't finished yet LOL)
anyways i'm a huge fan of the waveform patterns on her clothes, it stands out to me and just sells her so well imo. also orange is not a super common vsynth color i feel? so she really sticks out. love that about her
random headcanon: when she turns off/goes on sleep mode her eyes don't close so she'll just stare at you with a dead expression from across the room. emotionlessly. vacant. HSFDKSFD

Here are some more for Kafu
Yey! more questions! =Doh and thanks! the other theme has some issues with tags, so I preferred to change it, I’m glad you like it! >v3. How many pillows does your OC sleepwith? She hasn’t slept alone as far as she canremember so she feels uncomfortable if nobody is next to her. The result istons of pillows surrounding her: One for the head, two at her back and the oneshe hugs.
Bonus fact: Chuuya bought so manypillows to stop her from sneaking into his bed that they took up all the spaceof kafu’s one and now she has the perfect excuse to continue sleeping with him. (Kafu-1, Chuuya- 0)
4. Is your OC good atkeeping secrets? She’s absurdly honest and hasn’t a lot of secrets to keep, but if it’sfor another person’s sake she’ll be silent as a tomb
5. Your OC’s worst habit? Her honesty, she always means what she says. Her ability doesn’t allow peopleto show their true selves or seeing hers so she, trying to balance this, doesn’thide anything.
She also empathizes too much with others, trying to understand theirsituation and giving them lots of opportunities. She thinks people shouldn’t bebound to their past and that they deserve the opportunity to speak their mindand change if they want to.
Both thoughts are good at first, but they are a double-edge weapon, ifyou open too much to people you may get hurt in the process and Kafu is used toit more than she’d have to.
Oh and another bad habit is the fact she talks about sex so naturallythat makes people around her feel embarrassed very often. She is aware of this and sometimes does it onpurpose, but Atsushi, Kunikida and Chuuya’s red faces are just too cute.
14. Happy birthday! What kind of present would your OC want? She has received lots of presents from clients, so material things aren’t veryimportant to her. But a surprise party with all the people she cares would makeher cry of happiness.
23. What is your OC’s first memory? An enormous bed with a white canopy. Little kafu playing with her mother’sjewels while this one brush her hair humming a lullaby. The scene is so warmthat makes her smile whenever she remembers it.
46. A word that your OC can’t stand?“Scum” Maybe you thought “bitch” would be the word, but she couldn’t care lessabout what people think of her. But tell someone or mention the word “scum” anddaggers will come from her eyes. Nobody knows anything about anyone, their livesor their struggles; nobody has the right to take the value from a person andKafu believes fervently on this.
49.Your OC’s most prized possession? Her neck brooch and her brothel uniform. The brooch was from her mother, when shedied her stepfather let her keep it and she has it since then. When she isn’twearing it she keeps it in the safest place possible. Her dress is morelike a reminder. Not of her job, but all of her experiences, her struggle, thepeople she met there, the determination she got… It shouts “Don’t forget whoyou are”.

Hakumei to Mikochi – Episode 1 [First Impression]
New Post has been published on https://hentaihun.com/blog/2018/01/13/hakumei-to-mikochi-episode-1-first-impression/
Hakumei to Mikochi – Episode 1 [First Impression]
The premise of Hakumei to Mikochi (HTM) is that Hakumei and Mikochi are two very tiny people living in a big world; 9cm (3.5in), to be exact. They live in a tiny house at the bottom of a tree, cut leaves and prepare food with tiny utensils, and use beetles as transportation. It’s a really, really cute show to say the least. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
HTM reminds me a lot of Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (Girls’ Last Tour), a title I started covering last season but dropped it just before the halfway point. Both shows feature two female leads, and even their personalities have many similarities (Chito = Hakumei / Yuuri = Mikochi). However I feel that Hakumei and Mikochi have a better friendship, although this might be partially due to the world that the shows takes place in (a kind world full of nature vs an empty world that is almost completely devoid of mankind). Another thing the two shows have in common is that each episode is made up of at least 2 segments.
But anyways, enough about the comparisons. HTM is a damn cute show. This episode’s two segments focused on two adventures: traveling up a mountain to see a special bird at dawn to get a wish fulfilled, and journeying to a seaside marketplace to do some shopping.
In the former, there is a report in the local paper about an evening kite (a large species of bird) being spotted up near the hills to the north. Hakumei wants to try catching it so it can help them move their belongings around more easily. However once they get going on their trip, there’s a snag – Mikochi has very little energy and has a hard time catching up to Hakumei, who is happily swinging her knife around to clear a path for them. They come across two beetles, who allow the girls to ride on their backs as they travel towards the hills. The girls use the opportunity to rest their legs and have some food.
Along the way Mikochi tells Hakumei about a pet bird she had many years before. She used to feed it minestrone soup, which it loved so much that all the soup would turn its beak a reddish color. Mikochi named her pet bird Kafu and she loved to give it soup once a day, but one day it stopped showing up and Mikochi never learned why.
Finally they arrive at the hills, and the view is spectacular. Night has fallen by this point so the girls can see the light from the other homes in the valley below, while twinkling stars span the night sky. The girls eat a peanut together and Hakumei starts to eat the last of the soup – but it’s taken from her! The evening kite is right behind them! It flaps its wings and the draft throws the girls onto the bird’s back, and away they fly ~
After some explanations from Hakumei, Mikochi realizes that the bird is her beloved Kafu. Dawns breaks and neither girl knows what to wish for (part of the intrigue behind the legend of the evening kite was that if a person came across it at dawn, they would have any wish granted), so Hakumei makes her wish be for Kafu to drop them off back at their house. Once the girls land back home, Mikochi immediately grabs some tomatoes and hurries to the kitchen to make some more minestrone for Kafu. The bird leaves later at dusk, with Mikochi saying that she’ll be happy to make more soup for Kafu anytime he stops by.
In the second segment, the girls are shopping at the Tsumiki Marketplace in the town of Arabi. All the shows are crammed together very tightly, and there are several different areas where people can shop (down by the harbour, in an underground market, etc). Hakumei has never been to this market before, so Mikochi takes her to meet her master. The two ladies have some drinks and relax after having already done some shopping, and this is when Mikochi realizes she’s lost her wallet. She wants to rush out to find it, but her master persuades her to take Hakumei sightseeing around the market instead and to look for the wallet as they explore.
Mikochi has a very refined pallet, and as the girls walk around Mikochi is often inundated with requests from different shopkeepers to try some of their wares, or to help them with a recipe. It is very overwhelming and Mikochi is more often than not torn between trying to stay with Hakumei and helping the shopkeepers.
The girls break for lunch in what used to be the centre of the original Tsumiki marketplace, a bright open space with a large tree growing up out of the ground. Afterwards they come across the fabric shops and Mikochi reveals that luxurious fabrics are her one real weakness. She especially loves Hiromuta cotton, but it’s very expensive fabric and is far beyond what the girls can afford.
Hakumei finds a 500 yen coin in her sleeve and uses it to buy Mikochi a bolt of cloth which is half cheaper cotton, half Hiromuta cotton, which Hakumei fashions into a scarf for her friend. Mikochi loves it of course. (✿◠‿◠)
In the late afternoon the girls are still exploring the market, and Mikochi again has several shopkeepers approaching her to ask for help. This time however Hakumei waves Mikochi off, saying she will walk around alone for awhile so Mikochi can do her thing. As the sun sets the girls make their way to the harbour where they watch the sun go down and listen to the song sung by the townspeople which announces the closure of the market for the day. Hakumei adds her own touch by blowing the conch shell Mikochi bought her earlier.
On their way back to Mikochi’s master’s pub, they meet a young male shopkeeper who has found Mikochi’s wallet and held onto it for her. When they arrive back at the master’s pub, the Port Lounge Kobone, the girls see that the master has prepared a grand banquet for them using some of the foods they dropped off earlier. All three ladies enjoy a wonderful meal together as night falls upon the town of Arabi.
So what do I think? Like I said earlier, this is a really cute show, and I love the friendship that Hakumei and Mikochi share. There are moments when they both get on each other’s nerves, but that’s normal and overall I feel like they have a very healthy relationship.
Thinking back to Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (SSR), my only concern is that this will be an episodic series too. Not because it’s bad or anything, just because I often find those kinds of shows harder to cover. It’s one of the main reasons why I gave up SSR; there was an overall plot, but so little information was revealed about it that the show just became slow and boring. But HTM is a very sweet and heartwarming show, very much the opposite of SSR, so I am happy to cover it. I just hope that a larger plot will be revealed to help keep me interested. >>
The animation is gorgeous, with the characters and environments looking like they have a watercolor feel to them (at least to me). Very easy on the eyes. ^_^v

wanna ask the same question... it's a fun one! ocs that would cling to a vocal synth bank they like and which is their favorite?
i have to start with mkoom since he's canonically into the voca scene he's a diehard miku fan but also really loves lily. his room is filled with miku but when it comes down to it he ends up using lily more (never posts his works). despite liking a lot of voicebanks he only owns lily & miku v3.
wyndi would LOVE #kzn so much they would have no less than 6 charms of her they switch between regularly clipped somewhere on their outfit. would never be a synth user but regardless Thats Their Synth.
keppi would like kafu i think. he'd be a little more normal about her than wyndi is with kzn but like. kafu would still compel him in some way he'd be keeping up with new kafu songs relatively without thought.
that said i think the biggest kafu fan would be amaryllis now SHE would adore kafu to the point of always having the kafu plushie with her, always searching for kafu covers of songs she likes, shares every single fan art she comes across. fjahva knows he cant hang out with her without kafu being mentioned at least once. she would really like kafu.
iraidis would like una i think. would tease the other two like "yeah yeah but ur faves could never do what una can do" & then purposely put on an una song she doesnt even like just to see their faces. she sees an una song in the daily ranking and goes yess my girlboss is winning yet again. would get una motif earrings & sit there wondering when anyone else was going to clock them as una motif so she could be like hahah yeah i like una (downplaying it)
void would get drawn to stardust bc she would remind them of ryuusei at first & then it gradually turns into really liking stardust. would probably reach the point of going to whatever length they needed to buy her only to then open up the editor & get too intimidated to ever actually use her. would have a separate side acc on social media just for sharing fan art although every once in a while the aesthetic lines up enough they feel like they can get away with sharing it on their main too.
sarlina would be a huge popy fan shed think popy is so cute in design & voice & it would end up getting her into playing bandori not long after she finds out. has no preference for synthv or cevio all popy is good popy to her. has not yet figured out she can look for new song via the popy original song tag so her playlist is just whats popular & what her mutuals recommend. she wouldnt be super into the synth scene as a whole popy is just the exception
#asks#kuki#thats enough for now i think#a while back i made a list of who everyones faves would be & now im looking at it like. hm. i dont entirely agree anymore#out of this list keppi is the most normal about his fave but we all like keppi i cant not mention keppi
