So yeah let’s talk about this.

I asked my mother about duryodhan and karna’s friendship and also did abit of research myself. I think I got some connections with both of the two characters.

In Mahabharata duryodhan made karna the king of agna during an event where the rich and the royals showcase their skills. Karna who went to participate in that event was humiliated for being a sutapurta and in that moment duryodhan step in and helped him. This part clashes with the scene when varadha gave away bharghat to save deva and his mother.( ofc it’s not same but we are just looking for the similarities)

Even though duryodhan is known as evil. He was a great and a loyal friend to karna. He shared his riches and luxuries with Karna and made him a prominent member of his inner circle. On this, varadha was a very good friend to deva. They would play around and Amma feeding them. Also it’s not varadha being evil but his family in this case.

The Promise. When duryodhan gave one of his kingdom to karna. Karna promised duryodhan that good or bad, anything he will always side with duryodhan no matter what. Just like deva promising varadha that he will return whenever varadha ask him to when he was leaving khansaar(and the promise to give varadha khansaar).

Even when duryodhan got to know karna was kunti’s son he didnot go angry or anything. His friendship stayed the same with karna(it also says duryodhan never got to know the truth tho) and karna also stayed beside duryodhan(but he did betray a little by sparing the 4 pandav’s life on the request of his real mother kunti who was pandavs mother as well,making karna more blood related to pandavs than kauravs who were pandavs enemies same as deva who is a shouryanga devoting himself to his supposed enemy a mannar). Varadha also knew deva was a shouryanga and still helped him knowing his father is out there killing them, even after being pressured so much he didnot tell anyone why he gave away the kada(bracelet), got disgrace by his father and went through 25 years of humiliation for deva. Even during the climax, baachi and others were shocked but not varadha.

Both of these friendships were pure and with mutual respect. There was no greed in it. Varadha saying sorry to deva for bringing him back to khansaar and duryodhan respecting his friend choice of not joining the war or even not questioning when karna gave away his armour.

A +plus one ( more like a theory I made)duryodhan and karna friendship had its flaws and it’s said to be mainly from karna’s side. Karna was loyal but he had his own priorities set. He was blinded by ego to destroy Arjun and also betrayed duryodhan in a way.Well deva is far from that but there still needs to be a reason why they became enemies. In my opinion, deva didnot harm shouryangas and let them go( just like karna who let the pandavs go) and it resulted in baachi’s death by shouryangas (same as dushasan’s and duryodhan’s other brothers death). A scene of betrayal which made varadha hate deva. (Both deva and karna promised their friend that they will always stay by their side and both betrayed them in a way even its indirect).

À small plus again. It’s a short from the 6th point. Deva did not harm shouryangas and let them go. So when karna got to know the truth of his birth. Kunti asked him to leave the enemy side and join them but karna who had given his loyalty to duryodhan refused the offer. For me deva knows he is shouryanga but he does not know other shouryangas are alive as well so when he gets to know through bharava or any other means,he will spare them and they will ask him to join them cus he is their leader same as karna is kunti’s original eldest son and not be on enemy side(that’s varadha cus he is a mannar) but deva whose loyalty also lies with varadha would refuse it and tell them to go away with no knowledge to varadha. It would somehow lead shouryangas killing baachi.

This is another +plus one. It’s about Radha Rama and shakuni mama. Well I read a blog from @rambheem-is-real .they answered to someone about varadha being evil and greedy now cus he has the throne. As written, it could be possible.

Let’s start with Shakuni.

He was the prince of gandhara. It says when his sister got proposed for marriage by dhritarashtra(kauravs’s father), he didnot liked the proposal cus dhritarashtra was blind(idk how much of this is true. I just read about it on google). Gandhari(kauravs’s mother) even blind folded herself for her husband. We know Shakuni played a big part in destroying the kuru dynasty. he wanted hastinapur to fall and His resentment and manipulative nature led the dynasty to fall. He also had a huge influence on duryodhan on top of that. He used to listen to his mama(maternal uncle) and that may have led him to become like that(hate pandavs). Shakuni did sided with kauravs but wanted the whole kingdom to fall down.

Radharama.

She is raja mannar’s pride. She also listens to her father words and takes it very seriously. She is a strong lady(love her for that). This one clashes with the blog I read. So if varadha has became courrpt(I hope not cus if it is then I will die and haunt prashanth neel my whole afterlife)and we see Rinda and other Radharama’s people together as well. What if to avenge her father Radharama pretended to be a sister to varadha and started to influence him through her words just like shakuni did with duryodhan. She found deva again and wanted varadha and deva to clash and destroy eachother. She knows their dynamic and what if she was one of the reasons deva and varadha separated( Personal opinion tho). Both Radharama and shakuni were the reason behind the dispute and the main players for what happened(shakuni)and what will happen(Radharama).

( Mfs are the real main antagonist)

Another short note to be noted. Pandu(father of pandavs) and dhritarashtra(father of kauravs) were brothers in real. Pandu was the original king of hanstinapur before he decided to leave with his wives to pay for his sins, letting his elder brother take over the kingdom. It’s not for varadeva but their fathers.It’s different but Dhaara was suppose to be the karta of khansaar after shiva mannar but raja mannar took it from him by killing him. The similarity I found is how shouryanga and mannar are brotherslike tribes as well(also ganiyars) and just like dhritarashtra, raja mannar also believed he should have the throne not cus he is older but his father was the karta at that time. They held great anger when other got the right for the position.

P.S: kauravs are duryodhan and his brothers and pandavs are arjun and his 4 brothers.

So I don’t know if it’s true or not but I got to know something.

Is it true that deva and varadha’s character were inspired by duryodhan and karna from Mahabharat???

Someone PLEASE answer me on this. Why am I getting to know of this today, NOW????? Is it a fact or just a HC???
