Dark eyes regard the form leaning against him, her head tucked against his shoulder and her features smoothed with the relaxation that sleep brings upon its arrival. Pat must either be quite comfortable or truly exhausted to fall asleep against him here in the cold, sterile atmosphere of his room - one that she's remarked on MORE THAN A FEW TIMES. But it is late. Not that it would matter if it was or wasn't late ; his parents are absent as per usual and leaving nothing but a big, empty house to the two of them.

He's not sure what to do. Does he stay still? Does he wake her? The fact he even has the question makes him feel a chill in the air despite the comfortable warmth of the room. He's familiar with being different from others ; it's a fact written into his DNA. But it feels different when he feels like he should know this. It makes the emptiness feel that much more omnipresent, that much more of what fills him. Everything around him says he should know what to do by instinct if nothing else, but he doesn't. He feels CHILDISHLY HELPLESS. He logically knows that it is ridiculous to think that. But he does. HE'S GLAD SHE'S ASLEEP AND CAN'T SEE THIS. Even if it doesn't show on his face ( and he doubts it does with the amount of control he has ) , it feels safer when only he knows this.

HE DOESN'T WAKE HER. Chishiya moves his free arm to carefully pull the fuzzy blanket further up on her, like he's tucking her in. Her neck is definitely going to hurt when she wakes up, but he's too unsettled at the idea of her waking up in the process if he tries to move her to a more comfortable position. So that's the price she's going to have to pay this time. But he can make her as comfortable and warm as he can. He shuts off the main light in favor of the softer glow of the lamp as he stares at the ceiling. He should TRY to sleep ; he knows that. But his brain feels too active, muscles too reactive and adrenaline alerting him to any slight change. This is too new, too unfamiliar for him to calm down. He probably won't sleep at all. Not this time at least. Normally the thought would make him irritable and grumpy.

He doesn't mind it in this case.

Chishiya's fingers stretch out to carefully ease a book off the corner of the table, carefully grasping it as he brings it closer. She shifts slightly and he holds his breath ; but she doesn't wake up and soon HE RELAXES to settle in. The book will at least help kill a few hours. Maybe it isn't quite so scary after all. ( No, it definitely still is but he'll never admit that. )

ugh just one of my all time favorite quotes. i love the imagery of the stark kids transforming into wolves whenever people talk about them.

also the " winterfell's daughter " is foreshadowing to sansa's return to winterfell ( and eventual ladyship/queendom ) don't even AT ME ON THIS. i am still convinced that jon and sansa are the first to reunite in the books and return to winterfell. I AM TELLING YOU. the foreshadowing for all of this is clear as day.

sansa: builds an entire winterfell out of snow , VERY NEXT POV jon dreams of winterfell.

i feel like yasuo and ahri’s relationship gets a bad rep because ppl simply cannot overlook the fact that they shouldn’t be in ruined king. “it doesn’t make sense for their character arcs for them to be in rk and they were placed there solely to boost sales because they are both incredibly popular + conventionally attractive” and “they have an incredibly well-written relationship progression and they have an extremely healthy relationship that works to make the both of them better” CAN COEXIST. at the end of the day, even if it’s completely illogical for them to have ditched ionia for bilgewater and joined a ragtag group of ruffians on a world-saving quest that has nothing to do with either of them, they have a GOOD RELATIONSHIP. they are the only ones who can understand each other’s pain. they are the only ones who have ever been able to get through to each other. they have faced years upon years of stigmatization, violence and societal exclusion because of their actions, they’ve both been responsible for the death of a loved one while stuck in an inescapable situation, and they’re the only ones who can even start to comprehend each other’s trauma and loneliness. they are good for each other regardless of whether you view their relationship as romantic or platonic, and if you can’t accept that because you’re salty that your fave doesn’t get enough love from the money-hungry riot execs then you have to grow the fuck up. they are never gonna do what you want them to lol
