I've been patiently waiting to share this cover I did for a pretty interesting project a friend of mine did, and it has been released as of a few days ago. Bonus, under the cut is a few unused ideas/WIP stuff. Lots of cool public domain resources and real media scanning put to use here on my end.

The family that 🍂leaves🍂 together, stays together. Every autumn, we get overwhelmed with fallen leaves. I wondered if making it fun in a drawing would make it fun in real life. (It didn't 🥲) Yardwork isn't my favorite thing to do, but I do like how meditative it can be and how it always makes me feel more connected to nature. After spending over an hour outside today wrangling Autumn leaves with a rake and a broom I have come to the conclusion that small Autumn leaves are Mother Nature's equivalent of bean bag balls.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Jack came over for a playdate this afternoon, then Rhett came over. Gus was a maniac because he had two friends over, but it was good to see him so excited. They both ended up staying for dinner, then they took turns throwing bean bags at each other in the back yard. Gus was by far outmatched. Meanwhile, Magnus was good to rake the yard.

A layer of leaves on the lawn will exclude light, which would be detrimental to the lawn. When the leaves fall, either rake them up or chop them up with a lawn mower so they can sift down in through the grass blades. But if they fall in a landscape bed, or under trees, shrubs and larger plants, it’s fine to just leave the leaves without mulching them. The leaves contain nutrients, and they also are a source of organic matter. If you think about forest, where leaves just naturally return to the soil and decompose every year, it’s some of the richest soil we have. By allowing that to happen in your landscape beds, you’re getting the same benefits. ... Also, many insects spend the winter in leaf litter. And a lot of people might not want insects in their landscape, but only about 2% of all the insects in the world are considered pests. Most of them are either beneficial or of no consequence to humans, and they are very important food sources for birds and other animals. Birds feed the insects, especially caterpillars, to their hatchlings. ...

pathetic isn’t really a word I‘d use for colin bridgerton. simon rather dying than marrying daphne was pathetic. anthony going through with marrying edwina until SHE mustered the courage to call everything off was pathetic.

colin contemplating his feelings, calling out his male acquaintances for their chauvinism, seeking advice from his mother and then immediately taking action and putting himself out there without even knowing if his feelings are reciprocated is the complete opposite of pathetic. that requires a whole lot of bravery.
