Im SO happy that the twist happened actually because the sheer amount of aus that are now possible since we know Mephone created the contestants is incredible. I've seen a few darkfic writers perk their heads up at this and go "Well what if instead of being obsessed with Reality TV, he was obsessed with Danganronpa, or some other horror-esk media?" and, while there are some limits like... well, lets be real, mephone probably didn't have unrestricted internet access, those can be shrugged off for the sake of an AU.

But I like to think about possibilities inside of the limits too, what if something really horrifying got aired on TV and Mephone saw it and internalized it-- Like how a kid might have nightmares after watching a scary movie? And it's even more impactful since he's an AI. An AI model with few experiences outside of his own bubble (literally). He's easily influenced. And with a creative imagination, a ton of trauma, and the ability to create life? God.

I was a little hesitant about the twist at first, but GOSHHH it opens up so many cool pathways to explore i love it so so much UGH. -2G Anon, your loyal meeple confessioner
