Hazbin OC x Canon Week Day 6 - Time Periods (RadioStar)

(Takes place in the early 2010s, before Alastor joined the hotel gang)

The scene opens on Alastor in his radio tower, leaning back in his chair with his feet propped up on the desk. The soft strains of a jazzy tune drift from the radio, accompanied by a sultry female voice. "And that was the lovely Nanzy with "Devil Down Below". Up next, we have a real treat for you listeners - the one, the only, the incomparable Levity Hines!" Alastor sits up straighter, a grin spreading across his face as he reaches over to turn up the volume. "Before we get to her next song, we've got a special prized guest. Levity, you're on the air!" "Hola mis amores! You know I love taking requests. Who am I singing for today?" Levity asked. The sound of paper shuffling could be heard before Levity said the name "Alistair."

Alastor's eyes widen, smile twitching. He leans closer to the radio. "Alistair, huh? Sounds like a handsome name. Glad you're such a huge fan. Well, Alistair, wherever you are, I hope you're listening. This one's for you." Levity said. The soft piano intro starts, Levity's voice soon joining in a haunting melody. "I've got a feeling that I can't let go I've got a feeling that I can't let go I've got a feeling that I can't let go I've got a feeling that I can't let go…"

As the song plays, the scene shifts between Alastor in his radio tower and Levity in the studio. Alastor's eyes are closed, head tilted back as he listens, a rare, genuine smile on his face. Levity sings with passion, clutching the microphone stand as if reaching for someone. "I've had my share of love and fortune I've been around, I've seen it all But nothing ever made me feel like you do No one ever made me feel ten feet tall…" The scene returns to Alastor, his smile fading a bit as his thoughts drift. He looks at an autographed photo of Levity on his desk, having always found her voice soothing. "So here's to you, Alistair - wherever you are. I hope you know just how loved you are." Levity said chirpily. Alastor swallows thickly, fingers tracing the edge of the photo before changing the station abruptly. He leans back in his chair, trying to regain his composure as the sounds of flustered static fill the room. "Oh, Levity. If you only knew…" Alastor murmured, tracing a finger on her face.
