"I apologies. I kept him somewhere on the ship to charge. Come, I'll show you," Ahsoka begins leading them towards where her ship is being kept. "I should explain that back home we have an array of different kinds of droids, which are indeed robots or androids as you call them.

Ahsoka explains that there are at least a number of different model droids. Some for translating, others for servitude, others for repairs, others for space travels, and others for battles.

"The war that existed before the new one that I fled from, had one side using an army of Battle Droids. They appeared dumb, but were incredibly dangerous, and had helped conquer other worlds," Ahsoka explained that the army were led by a group of humans & other alien species that wanted their own independent government.

The intention was good, but they ended up becoming corrupted and became enemies of the galaxy.

Ahsoka finds where her ship is at and is glad they didn't take it apart. She begins walking in and begins going to a hidden compartment, where she reveals her droid.

"This is my astromech, R7-A7 or R7," said Ahsoka as he activated her droid who begins greeting the others, but in its droid language with beeps. "He was damaged before I left home, so I had him fixed up before leaving my galaxy and left him charging before well you guys found me."

Ahsoka Tano was dead. Or at the very least, that's what the galaxy assumes after finding her lightsabers where her ship crashed. Killing all her men onboard, including herself. However, this was not completely true.

Ahsoka survived Order 66, an order from the Sith Lord, who was the chancellor of the once Galactic Republic. The order caused the Clone army to turn on their Jedi commanders and kill them all. Ahsoka, despite not being a Jedi anymore, was still considered one by the soldiers. Thankfully, she not only survived, but saved one of her Clone friends, Captain Rex.

The two faked their deaths and went their separate ways. To avoid the other from getting hurt.

Ahsoka left onboard a ship and found herself traveling beyond the Outer Rim, before finding herself being transported through a portal. One that caused her to find herself adrift on her ship. In a new galaxy that she was unfamiliar with and was in need of some help.

Jedi and their droids #2

R6-H5, nicknamed Ar-Six, was the astromech droid of Jedi Master Kit Fisto. R6 accompanied its master on many missions during the Clone Wars aboard his Jedi starfighter. Ar-Six is a worrywart, which sometimes annoys Kit.

R7-D4 was an R-series astromech droid that served with the Kel Dor Jedi Master Plo Koon during the Clone Wars. After Koon lost his entire fleet to General Grievous and the Malevolence, joined Koon as the copilot of his Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor, the Blade of Dorin, flying alongside Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Shadow Squadron on a mission to destroy the warship before it could take out the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center in the Ryndellia system. Similar to Anakin with R2-D2, Plo Koon refuses to have R7-D4′s memory wiped, as “that would erase his lively personality”.

R4-P17, nicknamed R4, was a feminine R4-P astromech droid that was assigned to Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, prior to and throughout the Clone Wars. She was destroyed by a buzz droid during the Battle of Coruscant. R4 was rebuilt with scavenged R2 parts as a gift for Obi-Wan from Anakin.

R7-A7 was an astromech droid with masculine programming who belonged to Ahsoka Tano. He shares his mistress’s rash, aggressive habits.

R8-B7 was an R-series astromech droid, used by Jedi Master Mace Windu during the Clone Wars. During the war, R8 accompanied Windu to the planet Vanqor, where they looked for survivors of the crash of a Venator-class Star Destroyer Endurance. Alongside Anakin Skywalker and fellow astromech R2-D2, R8 and Windu searched the wreckage of the cruiser, unaware of a pair of gundarks stalking the group. After the Jedi journeyed further into the crash site, the gundarks attacked the two droids and tore apart R8 during the struggle.

What would people suggest for this?

More than any other, I want a name for R7-A7, because one of the plots I've had in mind for years but that I've barely talked about on here is an Ahsoka-centric fic which can be said, at least in broad strokes, to be a period adaptation of the X-Wing books.

If I ever write a TCW fic where it comes up, I'm giving the astromechs actual names like they do in Legends.

R2-D2 is just Artoo, of course, but hearing all of them referred to only by what R model they are is annoying for multiple reasons.
