y’all who act like monica ruined frank are so annoying for SEVERAL reasons (especially because there’s more proof frank ruined monica) but y’all will NEVER acknowledge queenie and sammi. sammi was around six years older than fiona, and frank was younger when she was born, but he still ditched her. he knew she existed but still chose to be an absent piece of shit. also, he was an addict since he was young! if i can find an exact moment where this is stated, i’ll tell you all, but i distinctly remember hearing it multiple times and i know others did, too. just because frank did coke for the first time with monica does not mean she ruined him; ultimately, his alcoholism, mother, and narcissism are what ruined him- not that.

If I can turn the subject to something else because I really love your readings on these characters. What are your thoughts on Sammi Slott? Or even Queenie?

this is from way back when i was being attacked for my claims about sandy and this is actually very nice of you so i’m sorry i forgot to answer it lol😭🩷

my thoughts on sammi used to be more complex than they are now, if i’m being honest. i felt bad for her in the scene where she literally got dryhumped by her father, and i do just see her as a very sad, desperate person, but i also see her as a neglectful mother and an abusive piece of shit. controversially, i think she was valid for calling the cops on carl. if i was a mom and anyone did that to my son, especially if my son was chucky, who definitely needed help and was very naïve (even tho she pretended he didn’t need help), i would be livid and i would make SURE carl was punished. that doesn’t give her an excuse for ian, though. she was a witness of his pain and suffering and he confided in her, showing her kindness and respect despite how terrible she had been, and she used his as revenge when she had already got revenge. i was disappointed when i found out mickey and debbie failed

as for queenie… idk. i just see her as a kind of ditzy crazy hippie grandma, which is what my grandma is and that alters my perspective on her😭 she was fucking crazy, but she did care for debbie (and chuckie) even if it was in horrible ways. i see her having a lot more love in her heart than her daughter, and i respect that. her commune was freaky tho (in many ways)
