Coronation Jewels
Even though there were no tiaras for the coronation of King Charles III, there were still plenty of stunning jewels on display. Here are my favorite jewelry looks.
Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom
Queen Camilla wore an altered version of Queen Mary's Crown with Queen Victoria's Coronation Necklace. I can't quite tell which earrings she's wearing but they are not Queen Victoria's Coronation Earrings. Overall she didn't wear as much jewelry as I was hoping for but she looked wonderful so it was probably the right choice.
Queen Suthida of Thailand
Queen Suthida wore Queen Sirikit's Sapphire Suite that contains beautiful and absolutely massive sapphires. She also wore the Nine Gems Belt which is meant to bring good luck to the wearer.
Queen 'Masenate of Lesotho
I wish we had a better look at Queen 'Masenate's necklace with mysterious blue gemstones. It's stunning and seems familiar but I can't place it.
Queen Sibonelo LaMbikiza of Eswatini
I also want a better look at Queen Sibonelo's big diamond necklace. It looks like there are a row of rubies along the outer edge. Update: I found a better picture!
Queen Azizah of Malaysia
Queen Azizah looked lovely with her diamond fringe necklace and multiple brooches.
Queen Máxima of the Netherlands
Queen Máxima took the no tiaras dress code personally and wore the biggest diamonds she could. Her earrings are made from the large diamonds of the Stuart Tiara and she wore another big diamond on her belt from a stomacher that belonged to Queen Emma.
Princess Eugenie of York
Princess Eugenie debuted the Albemarle High Jewellery Diamond Collar Necklace and Earrings by Garrard. I would not be surprised if they were a loan because together they cost $162,000.
Queen Letizia of Spain
Queen Letizia also wore big diamonds with the Queen Ena's Diamond Earrings from the Joyas de Pasar.
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark
Crown Princess Mary debuted slightly simplified forms of the turquoise jewels given to her by Queen Margrethe last year for her 50th birthday. The jewels are Danish royal heirlooms and even if they weren't already adaptable I'm sure they can still be worn in their previous forms and knowing Mary maybe even a few more.
What were your favorite jewels worn at the coronation?

"Prince Harry’s busy trip to New York City continues with an engagement supporting an African country he’s been connected to for 20 years.
"The Duke of Sussex joined Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso of Lesotho at the United Nations on Sept. 24, where he spoke about the work he's done in the country and his deep appreciation for it. Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso is the sister-in-law of Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, whom Prince Harry co-founded the charity Sentebale with in 2006 to help children and young people affected by poverty, inequality and HIV/AIDS in both Lesotho and Botswana.
"'The beautiful mountain kingdom feels like a home away from home,' Prince Harry said of Lesotho while at the UN.
...
"Sentebale translates to “forget-me-not” in Lesotho’s national language, which has a sentimental tie to Harry’s mother Princess Diana — forget-me-nots were her favorite flower."

“For me, Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso of Lesotho stood out as one of the most stunning women at King Charles' coronation. Her choice of a long blue dress in contrast to the traditional outfits worn by other women at the event was an admirable decision that emphasised her beauty.” - Text & Image Submitted by cenacevedo15

‘MASENATE MOHATO SEEISO // QUEEN OF LESOTHO
“She is Queen of Lesotho as the wife of King Letsie III of Lesotho. She was the first commoner in modern history to marry into the royal family of Lesotho. Since becoming queen, she has become the patron of several charities and has worked to promote the work of projects related to HIV/AIDS.”

King Letsie III and Queen Masenate of Lesotho at the Coronation of King Charles III
Queen Masenate is wearing a gown whose colour and print is reminiscent of shweshwe, a printed dyed cotton fabric, often using indigo blue, widely used for both traditional and fashionable dress in Lesotho and South Africa.
'The local name shweshwe is derived from the fabric's association with Lesotho's King Moshoeshoe I, also spelled "Moshweshwe". Moshoeshoe I was gifted with the fabric by French missionaries in the 1840s and subsequently popularised it.
It is also known as sejeremane or seshoeshoe in Sotho as well as terantala (derived from Afrikaans tarentaal), and ujamani in Xhosa, after 19th century German and Swiss settlers who imported the blaudruck ("blue print") fabric for their clothing and helped entrench it in South African and Basotho culture.' The Duke of Sussex joined Her Majesty Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso for a pivotal side-event at the United Nations General Assembly. This gathering aimed to advance crucial discussions surrounding the recognition and protection of women and children as essential drivers of sustainable development and peace in Lesotho and beyond.
In his remarks, The Duke expressed unwavering support for Her Majesty and the kingdom of Lesotho, emphasizing the vital role that women and children play in fostering societal progress. He highlighted how empowering these groups not only strengthens communities but also serves as a foundation for long-lasting peace and progress. (9/24/24)

Second Ramble of the Night! Let's talk about another main WIP of mine, Of Starlight and Beasts.
It's a high fantasy adventure set in a fictional continent where magic is woven into the very fabric of daily lives, but where a dreadful curse is slowly spreading day by day - the work of the vengeful Crimson Queen, a scorned sorceress who seeks revenge for the brutal deaths of her husband and child centuries ago, by destroying the continent that doomed them, regardless of all the innocent lives her curse is reaping. The main plot follows a girl named Corah Stormryder - who lives in the capital of the realm, the kingdom of Tirawen, which is constantly beset by horrid monsters born from the Crimson Queen's curse. Daughter of a renowned monster hunter, Corah wants nothing more than to become a knight of the realm and save the land from the curse that is slowly consuming their land.
Corah meets Arammys, a mysterious mage with the power of the stars, lost in a forest. He seems to have lost all memory of his past and who he is, all except for his name. They become friends, and shortly after embark on a cross-country journey to find a forgotten relic that can put a stop to the Crimson Queen's advance on their land and to discover more about the prophecy that seems to be bound to Arammys' strange magic. While they're at it, they also deal with internal conflicts of their own, with Corah struggling with feelings of inadequacy and her resentment of her absent mother, and Arammys trying to discover who he really is while being haunted by the looming shadow of his uncontrollable powers.
They make a lot of allies in their journey, namely Eidan Delythen, a "lone wolf" kind of rogue who travels the land looking for redemption, Maryon Haell, the quirky daughter of a powerful spymaster, Kyran and Masen Mavven twins who hate each other but are trapped in the same quest, among others!
Some of the contents of this WIP are: found family, siblings, good vs evil, redemption, morally grey characters, fighting against fate, and many other juicy tropes!
Okay, first, FANTASTIC MAGIC PREMISE. I absolutely love the Epithets and Names! Amniesia plot point is BEAUTIFUL for Arammys. (I love him already)
Also can I ship it?
Anyway, CORAH ANGST LETS GO!!!
I'll call it now, Delythen is gonna be my favorite.
I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTER IDEAS AND .WQBDUIROVWETBFUKGTRWBY5FUGTEWHTG THE THEMES ARE ALL MY FAVORITE THINGS HOW COULD YOU

You did least favourite tiara, what about favourite tiaras?
Great idea! I think I'll prick my favourite tiaras from each country, and no commentary just so that this post doesn't ramble forever and ever. Just know that these are the ones that I like for either aesthetic or historical purposes. I'd say the best collections go to the British, Swedish, and Spanish in that order. Out of the fake monarchies Greece has some bangers in there:
Belgium 🇧🇪 - Queen Astrid of Belgium's Nine Provinces Tiara (as a bandeau)
Brunei 🇧🇳 - Anisha Isa Kalebic's Diamond Tiara
Denmark 🇩🇰 - Princess Louise of the Netherlands' Pearl Poiré Tiara
Egypt 🇪🇬 - Queen Nazli of Egypt’s Diamond Tiara
France 🇫🇷 - Empress Josephine’s Cameo Tiara (it's in the Swedish vault but it's French in every other way)
Germany 🇩🇪 - The Prussian tiara (it's of German origin but is currently with the Spanish due to royal intermarrying)
Greece 🇬🇷 - Khedive of Egypt Tiara
Italy 🇮🇹 - Queen Margherita of Italy's Pearl & Diamond Tiara
Iran 🇮🇷 - Empress Farah of Iran’s Turquoise Tiara
Japan 🇯🇵 - Imperial Chrysanthemum Tiara
Jordan 🇯🇴 - Queen Noor's Sunburst Tiara
Lesotho 🇱🇸 - 'Masenate Mohato Seeiso's wedding tiara
Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 - Princess Maria Kinsky's Honeysuckle Tiara
Luxembourg 🇱🇺 - Grand Duchess Marie Adélaïde of Luxembourg's Sapphire Tiara
Monaco 🇲🇨 - Princess Charlotte of Monaco’s Pearl Drop Tiara
The Netherlands 🇳🇱 - Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands's Stuart Diamond Tiara
Norway 🇳🇴 - Princess Ingeborg of Sweden's Pearl Circle Tiara
Russia 🇷🇺 - Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara (of Russian origin but is with the Brits)
Spain 🇪🇸 - Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain's Fleur de Lys Tiara
Sweden 🇸🇪 - Nine-Prong Tiara
United Kingdom 🇬🇧 - Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara
BONUS - The Greville Emerald Kokoshnik 🇬🇧
BONUS - The Swedish Aquamarine Kokoshnik 🇸🇪
BONUS - Queen Desiree of Sweden’s Ruby Parure Tiara 🇩🇰

Even though we now know that the coronation on May 6th will not be a tiara event, I'll still keep a running list of foreign royals that have confirmed attendance. Bahrain - King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa
Belgium - King Philippe & Queen Mathilde
Bhutan - King Jigme Kesar & Queen Jetsun Pema
Brunei - Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah & Prince 'Abdul Mateen
Cambodia -
Denmark - Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary

Japan - Crown Prince Akishino & Crown Princess Kiko
Jordan - King Abdullah II & Queen Rania
Kuwait - Crown Prince Mishal Al Ahmad
Lesotho - King Letsie III & Queen 'Masenate
Liechtenstein - Hereditary Prince Alois & Hereditary Princess Sophie
Luxembourg - Grand Duke Henri & Grand Duchess Maria Teresa
Malaysia - King Abdullah & Queen Azizah
Monaco - Prince Albert & Princess Charlene
Morocco - Princess Lalla Meryem
Netherlands - King Willem Alexander & Queen Máxima
Norway - Crown Prince Haakon & Crown Princess Mette Marit
Oman - Crown Prince Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said

Non-Reigning Royals
Ashanti - King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II & Lady Julia
Baden - Margrave Bernhard & Margravine Stephanie

"When Harry took the stage at the Clinton Global Initiative on Tuesday morning, it was clear just how far he had come as a speaker and a public figure. He paced the stage, TED Talk–style, and used his personal cell phone as a visual aid. He began by discussing the Space Race, using it as an extended metaphor for the unforeseen effects that technology can have on our politics. Compared to the uplifting yet somewhat hesitant speeches he used to give five years ago, the prince was brimming with purpose when talking about Big Tech.
"'Our laws and regulations are different state-to-state, country-to-country—we may have different backgrounds, viewpoints, beliefs, and even access to the internet itself. But the one thing we can universally agree on is the safety of our children,' he said. 'So why, why do the leaders of these insanely powerful social media companies still refuse to change? Why are we holding them to the lowest ethical standards? In any other circumstance, a business would commit all resources to fixing the bug.'
"Unlike the trip to Nigeria or their August trip to Colombia—where Harry and Meghan spent a few days with the country’s vice president and got in a few cultural experiences—the duke’s multiday trip to Manhattan was all business. In under 72 hours, he packed in at least seven events with a handful of his charities, some of which have counted him as a patron for more than a decade. He gave prepared remarks at most of the events, which meant he was switching gears from subjects ranging from youth empowerment to minefields and conflict to the climate impacts of travel to the ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis in Southern Africa at the drop of the hat.
"Rather than focusing on the climate specifically, the trip was an opportunity for Harry to shine a spotlight on the teams that have helped him carry out his grand charitable plans. He was the headliner on Tuesday when the sustainable travel coalition Travalyst, which he founded in 2019, celebrated its fifth anniversary with a panel discussion and cocktail reception.
"On Monday, he celebrated the successes that the HALO Trust has had in demining Angola following the country’s devastating 26-year civil war, work that began with the support of Princess Diana in the final years of her life. He spoke about his 2019 visit to the same former minefield as his mother, in front of an audience that included three of the nonprofit’s current Angolan frontline workers.
...
"In a UN event with King Letsie III and Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso of Lesotho on Tuesday, Harry explained why he is interested in talking about a range of issues in partnership with a variety of organizations across the world. 'Today we have gathered here in New York, a city known for its diversity and progress and whose example teaches us the importance of inclusion,' he said. 'Diverse perspectives, experiences and voices are crucial if we are going to forge a more equitable world. Partnerships are therefore fundamental to delivering change. Whether we’re addressing the changing climate and its effects on food security, advocating for children’s rights, or tackling the HIV epidemic, we cannot do it alone.'
...
"Harry and Meghan have always been more project-driven than his Windsor family relatives, a quality which was previously met with skepticism and some disdain from the palace staff. 'You can say what you want about Meghan, but she works incredibly hard,' an insider told Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl in 2020, months after their royal exit. 'The problem is she and Harry have a tendency to hatch big projects over dinner and expect them to be actioned within days.' It’s now been four years since they started their Archewell Foundation, and in his whirlwind trip, Harry’s charity appearances made the implicit argument that he has a lot to show for his years outside of the palace."
