Hello, everyone! First, I just wanted to say thank you for the enthusiasm on the first part of Chapter 2! I'm very happy (and relieved) everyone seems to like it. Another thanks for the bug and typo reports. I'll be working on fixing those sometime this week!

Just sweet and straight to the point. Obviously the biggest pull are the playable POVs which are just individual scenes of the game in the eyes of the ROs and other characters, but you actually get to play it as you would if you were playing the demo. They are canon. That's why it takes me a bit to write as short as they may be.

Since these are coded and not just regular short stories and miss amy is prone to errors every which way, please do let me know if there are any errors (I playtested and no game breaking ones).

As for me, I will be taking a small break for a few days as my cold has gotten considerably worse haha. It's been over a week and there's no sign of slowing down gah. I will probably be around to make sure the POVs are smooth sailing and fix any wonkiness on that side. It seems my body has finally told me that I need to slow my roll a bit, so if I'm quiet on this end, you know why!

Trembling Essence:💙Play tester help + Cleaning up endings💙

Helllooo and welcome new followers, things fluctuated a lot this week but here's how the progress towards the game has been going. :[]

Play tester help:

My play testers played through some of endings again after I added touch ups, here's a couple of things they critiqued! :]

The bridge:

I added some minor animations in areas that were suggested to make it look like you're actually walking towards the bridge! I found a better way to avoid the animation reset but I'm still hoping to discover a way to fix this so I can apply this in other areas. :[] Certain words were accidently repeated too many times and my play tester said it was very noticeable. More of the dialog has been cleaned up along with hidden grammatical errors. >:] A small bug was found where skipping through the dialog too fast can cause the CG's to blur which has been fixed too. :D

The Chasm Ending ???:

I have no idea how I got to this part anymore but this is one of the endings you can get from the [Extended Demo] that I went and fixed up. I want to show this animated one because I'm really happy with how it turned out. :,,,,]

My play testers gave me a lot of pointers before I managed to get it looking right! A couple of CG's have added camera pan and I took it a step further and added a better perspective of animated rain falling onto the player(Y/N)! In the original version the trees blended too much into the leaves and the angle where the rain came down looked really wonky. :,] There was a couple of grammar issues and wonky wording that got fixed mainly because the ending plays out a little bit differently. >:]

Outside of other things going on with the game's progress this sort of sums up what all has been going on behind the scenes. The other endings (The Cave, etc) haven't been played yet but maybe next week they will be. Overall I've been fixing up everything my play testers recommended to me! :]

The Vengeance AU

Hi y'all- okay so damn, I have been holding this one off for QUITE a while- I've had this idea in my head for a bit but I never made full AU out of it, but before that I guess I should give a "heads up" of sorts?

I already have a post about Zhao's family tree. And there you can see she had two siblings, Mao-Yin and Syaoran (who were actually twins)

Something I try to make clear is that Zhao (As well as Quanshuǐ and Yue) is not only an OC for Lego Monkie Kid, but also for the original Journey to the West book. Though her role is fairly minor. And in her JTTW book version a lot, and I mean a lot of things are different than in LMK.

Like for example in JTTW her orange hair was actually a punishment, while in LMK it's her natural hair color. Or how in JTTW Quanshuǐ was one of Zhao's temple maidens while she was still living with her family. And also in JTTW Mao-Yin and Pangfua (Zhao, Mao-Yin and Syaoran's mother) committed a suicide in a river while in LMK they just kinda disappeared.

(However all of the JTTW lore about Zhao and her family is canon in LMK in this AU)

I'm trying to write LMK!Zhao as if she was an actual LMK character. I'm changing things I think the actual writers would have changed to fit the tone of the show.

One thing to mention in the JTTW version is that Zhao's brother Syaoran was actually killed via homicide by a few soldiers, and there's a lot to say about that but I'm not going to get into it (this is changed in LMK where he's still alive). Anyways, in JTTW he had a child with one of Zhao's late flower maidens who's name was Měi Lán.

The child's name was Yuǎn'ān (far & safe/far from danger). Basically at the end of jttw yadayadayada zhao wukong argue wukong kill zhao yadayadayada yuǎn sad and angy. And that's basically his JTTW lore /j

He's honestly such a minor character I don't think he would appear in LMK at all. He probably wouldn't even be a canon LMK character at that-

But then I was having a brain rot and thought "What if I made an AU where Yuǎn'ān is a canon LMK character and he was a villain trying to kill MK as revenge so that Wukong can feel the pain of having to lose someone so close to him. Because he knows he can't harm Wukong as Wukong is immortal... but MK isn't" ?

And now we're here! So, enough chitter chatter time for Yuǎn'ān!

General Premise:

In the vengeance AU Yuǎn'ān is one of the main villains. In short, word got around about a certain "Monkie Kid" and a certain "White Tiger" heard about it. He could never forgive Sun Wukong for what he did, but even then he can't do anything to Wukong because he's immortal. Unfortunately, or well, fortunately in Yuǎn's case... The Monkie Kid isn't immortal. Forever grieving the petty loss of his aunt, he sets out to "get rid" of MK, and maybe then Wukong will finally know what it feels like to lose someone oh so dear... Or maybe, just maybe.. he already knows?

Personally:

Yuǎn'ān is... Not exactly an optimist to say the least. He's extremely devoted, salty (this whole ass AU is just him holding a grudge) and a biiiittttttttt passive aggressive. You could say he's a sort of He-Wolf. Also he's a literal copy and paste of his father smh (ironic 'cause he never even met him-).

Not to mention stubborn, oh my god this man listens to no one-

However, deep down he doesn't have the guts to kill someone, like he could definitely injure you (he's got the hunting spirit after all) but not... To exactly murder a person.

Yet, only destiny will determine if he'll end up listening to his gut, or to his head...

Ageless. But mentally I'd say around his early twenties (Maybe 23-24)

Are Quan and Yue also going to be in the AU?

Quanshuǐ doesn't appear in the AU. Yue exists but we don't really see him.

Does Yuǎn have orbs for hands?

No I was just being lazy when I drew him :(

Did his earrings belong to Zhao?

Yeah :)

What are his pronouns and sexuality?

He's demisexual and pan, pronouns are he/him

Any funfacts about his appearance?

He gets his eyes and freckles from Zhao. And his hair is from his father

Are any canon key events and characters changed/removed in the AU? And when does Yuǎn'ān appear?

No. No events nor canon characters are removed. Yuǎn gets foreshadowed sometime during the end of season 2. Then he gets fully revealed in season mid-season 3 and starts his whole "IM GOING TO FUCKING KILL Y-" thing.

Will he be redeemed?

We'll see. (probably-)

Does he have any OC x Canon parings?

For now, no. And honestly I'm not planning on any because I don't exactly see him as the romantic type. I'm open if any of my tumblr friends/moots would be interested in Oc x Oc crackships with him tho, heheh! 👀

Can he also heal like Zhao can?

so like it’s weird that Fred was clearly around for torturing Aypierre was a kid but they told Tubbo they were born in a time that (to us) would mean they were at most 25, right? Like, does that mean that quesadilla island isn’t in 2023, but the future? They were frozen for who knows how long. Also because of that it’s incredibly sus that Fred won’t share their true age, just potential birth years, cause there’s no way that guy is 25 or younger.

i think we can't trust what fred says to q!tubbo ultimately bc we have kind of... real proof that they'll say whatever they need to say to whomever they need to say it to, to get what they want. for example, the way they talked about ron to q!tubbo and the way they talked to q!bad were worlds apart. the way they told q!bad they knew cucurucho but then later make it sound dubious if they do or not, thus "separating themselves" a bit from the higher ups.

fred is a rank a worker, they've made reports about horrific things, they're well aware of how things work around here and they only seem inclined to be critical of them when it'll get them closer to their goals. nevermind that rank a workers are encouraged to basically do whatever it takes / manipulate people with happy demeanors and trying to be personable.

i think either they flat out lied to q!tubbo or they're using a loophole like the one you suggested, but they're not 25 unless homie was in utero typing up reports. i also think their constant switch ups with q!tubbo are... very interesting and to me come across as manipulation 101 — if q!tubbo wants a romantic relationship, sure. whatever makes him easier to sway.

idk fred has done nothing trustworthy in my opinion and unless they know elquackity (bc let's be honest man's a nightmare) and thought that's who they were talking to yesterday?

I was actually going for that look and feel so I’m SO happy it came across!! ;DD Since I also noticed a few lovely folk (you know who you are <3) ask about Meau’s reference sheet/ mega design, here’s all the concept sketches! She didn’t really have a sheet, but I had the vague idea. I wanted a kind of feral, sabertooth/kangaroo mix. I initially had a secondary design that was more refined and sleek, but I felt it didn’t fit the rage nor really fit the ancient vibe. It may be used as X evolution or maybe for mew themselves, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Woof. Time. Fast. You know the drill. Seriously, tho', this is just getting foolish.

Gosh, but i just fell in love wiv the presentation on this one. The choice of colours is top notch, all the little creatures, the pulled, warped dimensions on things. i love that Keith put a puppet of himself in there, and it has appropriate piercings. Seriously, this was both my jam and my toast. There's a bit around the middle where something feels a little wonky wiv the platforming, but i don't know if that's a translation issue, or a skill one. Aside from that, there isn't going to be much here, challenge-wise, that will give most players pause. It's just a nice, cruisey trip through Keith's imagination, and i'm here for it.

Yoooo! This was such a nice bit of LBP1 kit to stumble across, let me tell you. i love the physics-based mechanisms we had from that era, even if they are prone to breaking in LBP3 (hell, let's be honest, they were prone to breaking back then, too, just a little less so). i love that the level references a "great points drought" a few years prior, and i wish i could remember the community at that time wiv enough granularity to know what they're talking about. My only real quibble here, is there isn't a really good chance to see the engine once it's running. They put a camera on it, but i think i backed out of it too quickly. i wish there'd been, like, a viewing platform? 'cause it's really neat. At least we get to see it powering up.

There are some nice ideas here, and i love the presentation, but it really is overlong, and the loop is just a bit too clever for its own good. Plus, it's variously broken in LBP3. That's, you know, a problem. The lighting takes a pretty nasty hit; none of the dark areas are supposed to be quite as dark as they are for us (i found someone else's play through, it's included in the video description). But the big issue is there's a whole set of platforms that are supposed to be emitted where we got stuck. Wivout them, you just can't make the jump to the sponge bit you need to progress. It's a real shame, too, because it's pretty close to the end of the level.

Eh, we talked about this before, and it still is what it is.

This one's pretty well done for one of the standard LBP2 archetypal styles. It does feel a touch slow moving and fiddly, but the "sunrise" bit at the end was nice, and i appreciated all of the semi-secrets in there. It's weird, but there's a sticker switch toward the end, that doesn't pull up a corresponding sticker? i played through a couple of times to see if it was an Ace level prize or something, but i got nothing. i wonder if it was something from a DLC i don't have. As much as i love sticker switches, and i do love sticker switches quite a bit, that was always one of their downsides. If players haven't got the sticker, well, they're kinda fucked. i know that was a way to make special secret areas for friends, which is, honestly, a pretty neat idea. Just hope no one deletes community photos ever.

Oh, oh dear Entropy, the charm just oozes from every pore of this level, and i love it. The Wobblebots are such a cute little take on the standard LBP-style patrolling enemy. Y'all know how i feel about those. But the presentation of space, and just the layout of the gameplay, it's all so very good. We tried playing another of Chicoleunis' levels on stream, but it looks to be broken in LBP3, and that's just such a gosh darn shame.

The environmental design is so nice in this one! The track is really solid, as well, tho' i can't say that it's the best fit. Was still really nice to listen to. Nothing too standout in the gameplay, but it keeps you moving well enough, and there's not anything here that should be a point of frustration, so that's nice. You know, i saw the Q in the creator's name, and got so excited that my brainmeats glossed over for a bit that their name actually starts wiv O. Where're all my Q creators at?! Seriously, i'm backlogged up to episode 204, and we still have yet to see a single creator whose name starts wiv Q. That seems statistically unlikely, and i hate it.

i wasn't 100% sold on the material choices in this one, and there are a few bits where you can get hung up behind thin layer bits and wind up getting killed, but this was still a pretty fun one in the end, and it felt like it was just about the perfect length for what it was trying to do. It's a good 'un.

Big and chonky, and a pretty fun go, although there are definitely a few points that could be polished. i don't know if this was a translation issue, or if the creator just didn't account for it, but there's a bit where you're riding up an elevator, and it looks like you should be able to jump to a (maybe?) secret area to the left. Except if you do that, it's real easy to get yourself killed. Which isn't the problem. The problem is the elevator never comes back down, and the last checkpoint is before it, so you basically softlock the level. It's deep enough into the level i can't imagine a lot of players going back in. i tried 4 or 5times for the archive, before i just had to throw my hands up and say "it's not worth it. i just don't have the time." It's a shame, 'cause there's a whole lot after that point players will miss if they just bounce. i guess... don't jump off that elevator? Also, i don't think i managed to catch the magic mouth, but that owl is kinda a douche. Just a real jerk.

This one was really quite cool. Definitely tricky from a pure gameplay standpoint, but not too hard; at least not if you're just going for the goal. Some of those beetles were a real pain in the butt, and i just said nuts to that. Lighting and material choices were really solid as well. Definitely one i feel like i could recommend to folx.

So, that's the that. Coming up on 200 Archive entries, and that's all kinds of wild. When i started the series, i wasn't really sure daily entries was going to be where it was at, and yet, here we are.

Life is life. There are parts that could be better, but my brainmeats seem to have calmed down from "housefire" levels since our little bout of excitement last month. i dunno, maybe they're burned themselves out a bit, which, you know, is kind of fine by me? Not being able to feel the extremes means i get to be buffered from the lows, but it also means i don't really feel the highs either, and i do hate that.

Level building has slowed down a little. i'm trying to think of a list of small things that need doing, so i can focus on those and keep moving forward until i have it in me to tackle the last couple of real chonky bits. Gee, it's just like life in meatspace. Folx, i love y'all, and i gotta say, i'm getting a bit sick of metaphor.

anyway tho! the reveal is actually a surprise to him bc a lot of the stuff that could be considered or are related to him being a half vampire he was able to write off as him just being slightly odd. for instance, bc darren is only a half vampire his taste buds are a bit wonky (bc they’re acclimated to consume life force, blood or otherwise) — this just essentially leads him to being unable to taste certain things. mac & cheese is something he can’t taste for instance lol. it’s very random which things half vampires can/can’t taste so he always just assumed he had a weird allergy or maybe he just didn’t like certain foods or something (with any of the foods he has a hard time tasting lol). or, he’s kinda sensitive to direct sunlight but he just assumes he sunburns bad lmaoooo.

so he’s very much like “haha quit playing! … oh wait you’re serious.” when he finds out. he meets it with a LOOOOOT of skepticism and still kind of thinks it’s all bs until he experiences blood lust for the first time LMAO (that’s a time pfff).

in terms of his powers and abilities overall tho, he and other half-vampires (and speaking of bloodlings specifically here bc there are different “variants” of vampires in this universe and i’ll post about that eventually fjdjdjdj)

have a longer lifespan that is/can be affected by the life force they consume.

they can ingest poisons through blood so they’re basically antidotes if they suck your blood (though half-vampires tend to get stomachaches if a poison is too strong but it won’t kill them. full vamps aren’t affected by this at all)

depending on the type of life force they consume they can take on different attributes, which is something that is important to said story tm. but basically what this means is that bloodlings feed off of sentience to an extent— animals occasionally but humans mostly. however they don’t have to just consume blood and kill you. they can also consume different aspects of someone if they have the intention. full-bloodlings can control that intention— if they want your blonde hair they can have it, if they want your intelligence they can have it, if they want you to die bc they sucked you dry well then uh fuck you ig. but half-vampires can’t really choose so they kind of default to physical characteristics. human blood won’t do anything to them but if they suck the blood of a bird they can grow feathers even wings, if they suck the blood of a different vampire variant that can also affect them. the caveat to this is while some affects can persist over time, usually most physical changes go away once your body finishes digesting the blood. so your feathers would molt after your body finishes digesting bird blood lmao.

generally half vampires have sharper senses bc they are apex predators tm lol. enhanced hearing, speed, durability, strength, are par for the course. how strong you are can vary but it’s definitely more than the average person. in darren’s case, he’s a couch potato and his dad (the human parent) works out. darren can still lift the same amount as his father without trying lmao,,, if he were to work out it’d just increase his threshold lol.

Now onto the answering of the questions that have come in over the months while things have been not ideal to put it lightly

- - I don’t think Rough Landing 3 is ever going to happen. My ambitions for it grew so impossibly large that I don’t think I could ever realise them. There was like 4-5 games worth of content split into different locations to explore. Looking back there was some very weird sci-fi wonkiness which I’m not sure I ever solved how I wanted to do it. Does suck though. I had notes, a LOT of notes. Hell I had the final confrontation where Jenny get to resolve her character in a way that I’m still really pleased with. 

What might happen though is I really have learned a lot doing WR and now NH in Twine. I think what I could do with not much trouble is do RL 1 and 2 as one combined Twine game and it wouldn’t take anywhere near as long as those other conversions have taken as the two RL games were a hell of a lot more simple in terms of how they were put together. If I do that I’m sure I’d be tempted to flesh out RL2 a bit when I was doing the conversion. Especially as there was a whole alternate way to win involving the guy in the prison that never got into the game. I’d also think about including some of the RL3 notes in there to at least give the series a better resolution than the To be Continued style cliffhanger that RL2 had.

Not going to happen though until NH is in Twine to the point I’ve entirely retired my reliance on RAGS, and I’ve also come back to WR so at least it’s got all the content that the RAGS version had. There’s also another project I came up with a good while back now and I’ve been holding off on it until I have enough experience with Twine to get it working like I want it to.

- - Good news! I update the patreon, and include links to it on the twitter, every two weeks (not counting recently when my eyes broke), and they always include details on the conversion progress so no struggle is needed. You don’t need to be a patron either to be able to read them.  Currently I got it to the point where I was able to start assignments so it’s come along way.

- - I’m so sorry I missed this for so long. Firstly thank you so much for saying that as it’s most appreciated. I’d definitely appreciate seeing that document to investigate if they’re an issue with what I’ve coded myself or RAGS falling over. If it is indeed a memory issue the most I can reccomend is the usual advice to save when it is safe to do so, close down rags entirely, then re-open it up and load say every couple of weeks of ingame time. Thankfully there’s more I can do about that in Twine and so I’m hoping that once I move onto that those issues will no longer be a concern.

- - I'm not saying it's not doable, will note though that the lore you get told (and is tracked in the stats) is effected somewhat by who is having the conversation with you. What I was thinking of doing is a bestiary with each race you examine so you can see who you've seen in each playthrough out of all of them.

- -  amusingly, to me anyway, it's actually the shortest races like the goblins and harpies who can get the tallest. Tumblr has adjusted their blocking system a bit to make it slightly better than before.

Now, if you block someone, they cannot see your posts at all (if they go to your blog it will tell them it doesn’t exist), but they can see your posts via others’ reblogs. (This includes the main tags; if you post there and you have them blocked they won’t see your posts there and you won’t see theirs either.)

However, they CANNOT reblog any post where you’re the OP if you have them blocked.

You can see their blog/posts and even reblog if they don’t have YOU blocked, though.

Additionally, anyone you have blocked will be hidden from any posts’ notes. You’ll see a message like “some replies have been hidden” or something like that.

Also if someone blocks you, you can’t block them back on Mobile anymore, bc you can’t even find them in search. You can on desktop by manually entering their name in your block list in settings.

I hope that answers your question! I know tumblr can be a bit confusing since their block system is a little wonky.

2015: my boy severin! <3 weird little undertaker of my heart. i also love jojo so i daresay my art is both 1. finding a more "me" style and 2. improving.

2016: good art vibes continue as i discovered loid this year! also more gijinkas! the lovely and wonderful maddy, jellie, and pamela! <3

2017: this year was fun bc i wanted to draw a mokouzart every moth and for the most part succeeded. my art was wonky and bad proportions but i was having fun and thats the most important thing imo

2018: my art was still bad proportions but i was starting to get more self conscious abt it. art school does that to a guy -weary emoji face- but dont be concerned there was still a lot of heart and i was getting more into storytelling in fics. hence the kasulaeg good stuff.

2019: this was def a weird time for me artwise- somehow i wasnt satisfied with how anything looked most of the time. i think just lifewise weird stuff happened too so it was really a time of change. also my art self esteem had been damaged pretty badly from art college and mobile game fans online (you know who you are). this one of rosa and kasumi is really goated tho, probably the last time ive been really happy for and actively cheering on the c y l winners. (tho i am happy for chrom/tiki/robin/corn tbh)

2020: this year was kinda me trying to get my groove back tbh. socially stuff had happened too (in 2019) but weirdly this was a big time for self discovery for me. during the job lockdown i was able to binge d q 11 and realized how fun games and fantasy anime genre has the potential to be. and i made a new friend! this treblesal is actually a redraw but i love their faces in this the best <3

2021: this year was where i felt like my groove was finally returned. minor setback of a computer crash in january aside, i started a series of an-allegroface-a-week and it was actually really fun and satisfying. in oct there was this platonic fave month which was so much fun. <3 sevil and kisumi are one of the awesome results of it! (not the brotp but the artwork)

2022: i feel like this was such a big year bc of n w h but thats just silly. but at the same time its kinda true lol. my creative kick for aime tachi was back, along with a need to go to d l and a sense of right and wrong which had been tested over the years. sure its gotten me nothing but trouble but im still a bit glad for it. i also decided to get creative w shading and pencils, and found that thin pens work a lot better for antonio's luscious locks. and that meant a very cool trebletonio drawing for his character day! <3

2023: 2023 had a lot of good content imo, it was hard to choose just one. but its gotta be the monty one man. i spent the whole year working on it no joke. more weird stuff happened last year but i do think i made steps to improving at art. that being said i have more unfinished artworks than schubert has unfinished symphonies (thats not saying much. he has one.)

2024: this year is only halfway done and so far ive drawn some things(tm). but i had to give it to mokouzart, i love these little freaks so much. notably this year ive started drawing the shines in characters' eyes? i like drawing them w the quote unquote dead eyes but its nice trying this too.

Trembling Essence [Extended Demo]:💙Quality of life progress💙

Hi hi and welcome new followers! This week mainly focused on the quality of life changes I discussed in my last update post. :]

Quality of life progress:

*Please note that these changes aren't in the [Extended Demo] yet! I'm still working on this and I'll let it be known in a update post!

Now that it's week three of the [Extended Demo] being released, It's time to go over some changes to help the player out when going through the game!

It was a struggle but I managed to make a endings collection gallery! I'm still working on it and brainstorming how to make it easier for the player to navigate but hopefully it'll be done soon.

I added a 'Endings' button and separated the endings into different categories!

It looks wonky here but trust the process, I'm still fixing it up! :,]

The left section will be all the bad endings you can get which will be marked in RED when you get them!

The middle section will be the neutral endings that you can obtain within the cabin. These will be marked in BLUE. :]

To give a little bit more detail on this one, these are sections that were suppose to continue the story but ended very early since I still need to look over and redo some of these paths/routes.

For example: Choosing the "Go to sleep." choice here will always lead to a neutral ending regardless of how close you are with Noah.

The right section are all the endings you can achieve when you manage to find the two full routes that progress the rest of Day 3. They will be marked in GREEN!

With that out of the way here's another quality of life adjustment!

For those that are new or have been here for some time, entering the cabin with Noah starts Day 3 due to the player(Y/N) being lost in the terrain for 2 and a half days which Noah mentions. Sometimes this can get confusing since some consider it Day 1 while the game considers it Day 3.

I added a little notification tab in the upper left corner of the game to notify the player(Y/N) of what day it is in the game to resolve confusion. Once you enter the cabin with Noah it starts Day 3. I'm still fixing this too. :]

Hi! What is this?

This is going to be my blog site in which I jot down my thoughts in a somewhat cohesive manner to express ideas and evoke discussion. For a very long time, I've kept a personal diary which I have never shown to anyone. It was a way for me to improve my writing skills since I was immensely bullied for it in the past. I apologize for any spelling or grammar errors! English isn't my first language. Although, I have been here for a very long time haha.

Aside from my personal thoughts, I will include any poem, music, or aesthetic boards! A lot of these things will be a work-in-progress or half-finish concept. The goal is for me to be more okay with not being perfect and instead enjoy the process of creating. To explain to others my intention and love for the craft.

I feel that when I am around others, I can be a bit goofy. There are a lot of ideas that I rarely discuss. I oddly have a hard time with it. I think a lot of people see me as more extroverted and "out-there" than I actually am. Therefore, I tend to push more of my "subtle" or "boring" thoughts aside. All of those quiet thoughts will live here instead. And you can skip and read as much as you like! How convenient!

What's in it for you? uhhh... great question! I am intending to post weekly. See this as your personal pen pal! A blog that will grow with you. I often grapple with existential crisis and my meaning of life so I will be sharing it here. No trauma dumping, promise! yes!! That’s the whole point of the story. I want to provide a good, strong narrative and be true to each Peter’s character arc, so there’s some things to be established before that point, so I’m calling this a “slow burn reunion.” BUT! when it comes it will be a longstanding reunion (i.e., I won’t tease it and take it away, it’ll happen and last.)

How often does this story update?

right now, it’s updating sporadically; my muse for this is waxing and waning at the moment, and I’m tugged where the serotonin takes me. I’m definitely not abandoning this story, since it’s plotted basically out until the end, but updates might be wonky for a bit!

Did you do actual research for this fic?

I did! I researched quantum mechanics, quantum teleportation, and quantum theory extensively for this story. I don’t claim to be a physicist, but I will say that every discussed quantum detail in this story up to ch10 is based off of actual scientific inquiry or proven fact. I also obsessively research dumb details, so in general you’ll get a few tidbits here and there about other, random things.

Why doesn’t Max remember, but Dr. Octavius does?

Doctor Octavius remembers because the neural interface chip, which is now part of his brain, was made in Peter One’s universe (the MCU). It accesses his amygdala and other parts of his brain to help him control the arms and process memory, as the arms are sentient and able to form their own thoughts and opinions. This allowed for a “fluke” in Dr. Strange’s spell where the imprint of Dr. Octavius’ experiences in the MCU were preserved, and jogged over time.

Who is Marilyn Juárez? I can’t find her anywhere.

Another LOTR, Aragorn/OFC (yes, I know you can see the pattern, but it's Viggo Mortensen's fault really... Lol).

This is a Modern Woman in Middle Earth fic which I, sadly, cannot remember the name of... (So embarrassing but I'm like Dory when it comes to the names of things! I'd have recognised it if I saw it listed but my mental filing system is a bit wonky! Lol.)

The fic is very similar to Padma the Q's, "Never Back Again" but in this one, the OC has a medic background, is a Tenth Walker, and goes to Gondor with Gandalf and Pippin but remains hidden in the city, helping to plan for the upcoming battle at Pelenor Fields. She does this while hidden away in a dark pub in the lower levels of Gondor. Prince Imrahil helps and she becomes friends with his daughter.

She also helps a healer that has come from Rohan, with the ill of the city - a man who is tired and has a grey palour - they use belladonna and the writer makes note that it is also used as the base of heart and/or asthma medication, here.

I know there's a lot of controversy around stories being posted that are similar to others but I love these two fics equally! They just scratch a different itch when it comes up! Lol. I may have a few things wrong here or there, so if you recognise any part of the fic, or have a copy of any of these mentioned above, I'd be so grateful if you would let me know? I would desperately like to read these again. 🙏

I'm currently, ridiculously hyperfixating on finding several fanfics I LOVE.

I somehow managed to lose a years' worth of saved AO3 fics and the author's have since removed their works from the site. 😊
