Look. I am not an art person.

I've done some doodles, sure, but I wanted to try my hand at something... Different. My mum saved a drawing tablet for me years ago that one of her friends was giving away. I plugged it in today.

And produced my first piece:

Introducing the latest potential support animal at Pets4Vets, Wisp!

Wisp is a juvenile male Pylat bird. This species is native to Neimodia, but have been bred in captivity for many years now.

Their ability to mimic and communicate with their owners is galaxy-renowned, and they are incredibly intelligent, able to learn tricks and be trained to a high level.

Pylats are known to form strong bonds with their owners, are aware of the names they are given, and have long memories. They also give off a calming aura which is said to help lower blood pressure and aid in restful sleep.

Wisp is very active. He loves to be out of his cage and interacting with everyone at Pets4Vets. He has quickly won the hearts of all of the staff, and while we will be sad to see him go, we know he will be the perfect match for one lucky Veteran!

So... Who do we think Wisp would be a good match for?

I'm struggling to match him on my own, so would like to hear some opinions so I can write this fic!

*Introduction*

In the year following the fall of Palpatine, the Clone Rights and Personhood Act ushered in the age of clones integrating into civilian life.

While Right To Love Matchmaking Services was helping troopers find their way in love, many troopers still found the transition to regular life from combat challenging.

And so Pets 4 Vets was born. P4V Service Pet Services helps clone troopers find forever friends to help them acclimate to their new civilian lives and to assist with the scars of war; both visible and invisible.

Pets 4 Vets is a nonprofit organization, proudly funded by the senate with notable senators such as Padmé Amidala, Riyo Chuchi, and Mon Mothma volunteering time and funds to the cause!

Nemoidian pylat birds were a type of small avian native to Nemoidia. Pylat birds were sought after as pets, due to their beautiful plumage and song. Because of this, owning a pylat bird was a status symbol in Nemoidian culture. A rare pylat bird from the moon Sojourn played an important role in establishing the relationship between Darth Sidious and Nute Gunray.

THE PAST

Born in the year 84 BBY, Nute Gunray like all Neimoidians spent the first seven years of their life in a communal hive, where with the other grubs had to hoard food in order to survive. Not only was Nute able to hoard food to surive, they hoarded more than any other in their hive, proving themself worthy of being a high ranking member of Neimoidian society. Joining the Trade Federation as a Junior Trade Officer, Gunray made the final decision to expel a member of the corporation, opening a seat on the Trade Federation Board of Directors, which by the age of 30 Gunray filled. 

In addition to the seat Gunray was also appointed the Trade Federation’s Senator, where they served for the next 10 years. During the year 44 BBY, the Trade Federation came into issues with the Stark Commercial Combine. After the brief Stark Hyperspace War Gunray was made Viceroy of the Trade Federation for their role in securing a victory for the Trade Federation. Eleven years into their leadership of the Federation, Gunray would come into contact with Darth Sidious for the first time, when they were gifted with a rare red spotted pylat. Sidious would help Gunray turn the Trade Federation into a Neimoidian monopoly at the disastrous Eriadu Trade Summit. Giving Gunray complete control over the corporation.

Shortly after, the senate and Chancellor Valorum would enact taxes on the free trade routes, and with the backing of the mysterious, yet powerful, Darth Sidious Gunray would enact a blockade around the small, minor planet of Naboo. This blockade would soon become a full scale invasion. Taking control of Naboo, a resistance formed, and Queen Amidala formed an alliance with the Gungans. Together they defeated the Federation and Gunray was shipped to Coruscant where they stood trial 4 times, where they failed to convict and they remained Viceroy. 

After going through these trials, Gunray was approached by Count Doou, where they joined the former Jedi in forming a new galactic government, The Confederacy of Independent Systems. In that role they served as the Chairperson of the Separatist Council, they would also put a bounty on Padme Amidala’s head, seeking revenge for the Naboo incident. Being present at the Battle of Geonosis, and the start of the Clone Wars, Gunray would watch as the galaxy became embroiled in war. Falling in Republic hands at one point, and watching as Neimoida, and Cato Neimoida were attacked by the Republic, Gunray’s only remaining option was to trust in Dooku, and Sidious. 

During the final days of the war, and after the deaths of Count Dooku, and General Grievous, Gunray would be the Head of the CIS, overseeing the final few hours of the war from a bunker on Mustafar. Sidious promising the CIS leadership peace, and a new place in society. Instead Gunray and the other CIS leadership were struck down by Sidious’ apprentice, Nute having been betrayed by the man who he had entered into deals with 14 years prior. 

THE PRESENT

The last thing they remembered was the slash of red, and then nothing. Yet now, Nute Gunray had awakened on Cato Neimoidia, 26 years after they had died. Wasting no time, they have discovered that the Trade Federation was disbanded, but that the Separatist movement lived on through the New Separatist Union. Using the cover story that they had committed suicide after they knew the war was lost, Gunray blasted this as Imperial lies and that they had been in hiding all along. Gunray before this had been considered a martyr of the CIS. Like any wise Neimoidian, Gunray had kept secret safe houses where they had houses robes, a very large sum of credits, and other valuables Nute did not trust the rest of the CIS knowing about. 

Taking advantage of their Martyrdom and their sudden return, Nute has taken up a leadership role within the New Separatist Union, this time actually wanting to create a new sustanable government for two reasons. The first, to make money and secure a high ranking place for themself. Secondly, to be safe from Amidala and other former Republican officials who may want to see them arrested, as they now have diplomatic immunity. 

PERSONALITY

Nute Gunray is duplicitous, greedy, cunning, and extremely avaricious. They are also however pragmatic and before Sidious came into their life knew how far they could push the law. With this second chance, Nute does not plan on falling in league with any Sith Lords, they wish to return to the life they had before Sidious, where they were wealthy, feared, and respected but also incredibly comfortable. Now with so many various galactic factions though, the galaxy is ripe for the picking, and Nute plans on getting their share of the riches.

17) Do they have pets?

Yes! Perseus absolutely loves animals, especially birds, so naturally he owns one - a gorgeous Neimoidian Pylat bird named Candide. This is what a Pylat bird looks like:

He keeps Candide in his Coruscant penthouse, and cherishes him with expensive treats and beautiful cages and bird toys. Pylat birds are extremely expensive and rare, but Perseus got Candide for his sixteenth birthday, and treats him like a friend rather than like a simple pet.Candide also has a beautiful voice, so Per loves singing to and with him.

30) What would this person do without their friends in their lives?

She would honestly be so sad and alone. Ashraa is extremely sociable and an extrovert, she would feel very lonely without her friends and her band. She would most likely go back to Devaron and help her mother in her politic work to avoid feeling lonely and abandoned.

THE PAST

Vantir Cessin was born in 23 BBY as REDACTED, on Cantonica, a dry desert world that a few years earlier had been see as a nowhere world where nothing grew. Their parents had been planning to save up enough money to leave the planet, until their Corporate Overlords decided to pick Cantonica as the future sight of the glittering casino city, Canto Bight. As Vantir grew, the world literally grew around him, and at record speed. The various companies that paid dues to the CSA wanted a vacation world, and they wanted it fast. The desert world that Vantir only briefly knew now sported the largest private sea. The more buildings that were finished the more money flowed through the streets, and because of being one of the original works, Vantir’s family was given the honor, nay the privilege to work within Canto Bight. 

Vantir’s mother became a hostess for a restaurant while their father was trusted to run one of the dice tables. They worked long hours, and brought home an honest, but tiny pay. The Clone Wars that waged on around the galaxy never truly came to the Corporate Sector, and certainly never to Cantonica, at least not in the way that ravaged other worlds. Instead it made the Corporate Sector much, much richer. Though fortunately that saved Vantir from being scarred by the horrors of war, they bore much different scars. They saw first hand the excess the poor and working class had to go to give the rich the life they so wanted. They also learnt that no matter who was fighting, apparently money could always be made off of war. 

Between the ages of 6 and 9, Vantir worked in the Fathier stables. When they reached 10 they were promoted to waiting tables with their mother, something he did until he was 21. That’s when Vantir found that there were other ways to bring home credits. That was with using their body. It also happened to be something Vantir was very good at, and before long they were not only escorting and working the rich and powerful as arm candy, They began appearing in adult holos, as the Pink Pylat. Their most popular, and reoccurring character was an arrogant recently knighted Jedi, who always ended up in a den with swathes of unsavory aliens....what always ended up happening with the aliens was easy to figure out. 

As Vantir began their new career, the Death Star was blown up, and the seeds of Rebellion were growing around the galaxy. Vantir supported the Rebel cause, believing that the Empire should be toppled, and used their escorting work to gather secrets for Rebel Intelligence. In 4 ABY, a mission went sour, an Imperial Agent caught Vantir looking at files they shouldn’t have been, they present Imperial Intelligence with two options pay a hefty fee in credits, or be sent back Vantir’s thieving hand. They made the decision to cut their agent, and Vantir lost his hand. However, it was not a complete loss, Vantir’s ability at collecting files in secret, being able to charm people caught the idea of the current ExO of the Direx Board. the fact Vantir went four years without being caught was a reason to be rewarded not punished, and so they bought Vantir a new arm, top of the line, and then took them under their wing. Thus, Vantir Cessin was born. 

THE PRESENT

During their training, the Corporate Sector Authority came to the conclusion that Vantir would serve best as an Ambassador, they had the aptitude for it, people liked them, and they knew how to get intimate without getting attached. Because of, and despite past allegiances Vantir has been assigned to work with both the New Republic and the Imperial Remnants. War between these groups would benefit the CSA greatly, and it is now Vantir’s job to make sure that they both agree when the time for wars comes, their weapons will be acquired from the Corporate Sector as they always have been. 

PERSONALITY

Vantir was once a headstrong optimist who believed in the best in the galaxy. Then reality hit him like a ton of bricks. The Rebel Alliance’s betrayal made them realize the only person worried about themself was themself. Now they serve their own interests first, and the rest of the galaxy’s second. That is not to say they still aren’t the charming, and intriguing youth they once were. They still very much realize their greatest weapon is their smile. Living on Canto Bight has also made them realize that the loudest thing that talks in this galaxy is money, and who has the most of it. The Republic, The Separatist, The Empire, The Rebellion, all of these things are just ideas that make for a fun bet, and a quick buck. Ultimately, the only truth is: Credits are King
