Bargibant’s Pygmy seahorse inspired mermaid! I haven’t done detailed texture work in so long, and I’m really happy with how her tail turned out!

I also wanted to base a design on a lesser known fish, so here it is!

Fish rant: Bargibant’s Pygmy seahorse is one of the world’s smallest seahorses and has evolved to perfectly blend in with the sea fan corals they call home! They live in the waters of Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Also I just think they’re really pretty and cute looking :)
