My partner and I watched Unplanned by "Great American" Pureflix and the slapstick way they film the abortion scenes are genuinely some of the funniest shit I've ever seen. There's a scene where a fetus gets sucked through a vacuum tube and it may as well be turning to the camera going "Well, that's all folks!"

It's going to be a hot summer! With temperatures already reaching triple digits in cities across the U.S., one of the best ways to beat the heat is to chill with a cold beverage and watch a movie. Give your wallet a break from movie theater prices and have a staycation! Great American Family launches their first "Great American Summer" programming event featuring eight new movies premiering on Mondays and Saturdays throughout the month of August. And when these sizzling summer features end, it'll be time for Great American Christmas holiday programming in October.
Take a look at their summer lineup!
Romance in the Vineyard
Starring Susie Abromeit, Tim Ross Premieres Saturday, Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. ET
A charismatic salesman (Tim Ross) tries to convince the proprietors of a family vineyard to sell their property. Things get complicated when he gets pulled into helping the family’s granddaughter (Susie Abromeit) create a new blend to save the winery.
Love on Repeat
Starring Jen Lilley, Andrew Lawrence Premieres Monday, Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. ET
When architect Amber (Jen Lilley) finds herself in limbo, re-living the same day repeatedly, she attempts to make changes in her professional and personal life that will save her from the cycle.
Lilley will also star in the previously announced Great American Family original Christmas movie, Paris Christmas Waltz, a sort of sequel to Hallmark Channel's widely popular Christmas Waltz.
Andrew Lawrence is the younger brother of Joey and Matthew Lawrence. The three brothers starred together in the sitcom, Brotherly Love.
Unlikely Angel
Starring Jillian Murray, Aaron Mees Premieres Saturday, Aug 12 at 8 p.m. ET
Janie (Jillian Murray) is a power player in the boardroom but is falling apart at the thought of becoming a new mom. A silent prayer is answered when an unlikely angel intervenes and fast forwards her life so she can learn to trust God and her purpose. Unlikely Angel is a Pure Flix original and will have its broadcast cable premiere on Great American Family.
Great American Family recently merged with Pure Flix, a faith-and-family-based streaming service previously owned by Sony Pictures.
Wedding Cake Dreams
Starring Donna Benedicto, Markian Tarasuik Premieres Monday, Aug. 14 at 8 p.m. ET
As a young girl, Carrie Watson (Donna Benedicto) placed a piece of wedding cake under her pillow because her mother told her the tradition would make her love dream come true. Two decades later, Carrie is shocked to discover the man she dreamed about is at her younger sister's wedding.
Summertime Soulmates
Starring Jenna Michno, Christian Howard Premieres Saturday, Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. ET
A conventional curator facing financial crises (Jenna Michno) works with an avant-garde artist (Christian Howard) to develop an unconventional exhibit.
Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters
Starring Robyn Lively, Bart Johnson Premieres Moinday, Aug. 21 at 8 p.m. ET
Inspired by the book of the same name, this Pure Flix original finds a wealthy businessman (Bart Johnson) shocked to learn of his eldest daughter's (Carrie Alexander) sudden engagement to a missionary and makes it his goal to make sure she is closer to home. When his efforts go awry, he is forced to reconsider what being a strong father really means.
Dream Wedding
Starring Rebecca Dalton, Jesse Hutch Premieres Saturday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. ET
Sisters Kate (Rebecca Dalton) and Megan (Christa Taylor Brown) attend a local wedding fair and jokingly enter Kate in a raffle for a dream wedding package even though she has no current plans to marry. When Kate wins, the sisters must put on a show or be mortified by the joke gone awry.
Learning to Love
Starring Ina Barrón, Philip Boyd Premieres Saturday, Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. ET
Harry (Philip Boyd) and his two daughters lose faith after his wife and daughters’ mom passes. The family hires a nanny and are pleasantly surprised by Steph (Ina Barrón) who brings never-ending warmth, positivity, and faith into the home.

Ok, this is a very specific post but the whole "Ukraine banned Christianity!😨" thing made me hope that the next inevitable adaptation of Left Behind or the next rip off gonna have the Antichrist character be named something like Vladislav Zalinsky

Whenever I see you post about one of the older CRK cookies, or just a bit about the characters being heads over heals for ‘us’, it makes me laugh!
Why?
Well (a bit of a blabber warning) I once read a wattpad fanfic full of headcanons for each cookie, but they were all Yanderes, and I mean the TWISTED kind. Especially Pomegranate!
She would kidnap us into her own private cellar, seeing us as a nuisance but since she loved us so much (thus why she hates us), she compromised with turning us into her personal servant.
With the slightest mistake, she’d punish us with torture methods both physically and mentally, and one of the MUCH lighter punishments were leaving us in a dark room with no water, food, or contact with the outside world for weeks at a time.
Another one (this one I find most interesting to compare) was where she ties a cloth around our eyes and ears and beats us with a stick, so the only way of us knowing when the next blow will come is when it cracks your dough.
Anyway, would love to see your Pomegranate Cookie hear about her alternative self! You don’t have to though, I just wanted to let you know in case you would find it really funny too.
Loved you’re work since the start,
—Flix
“Wattpad”
That’s all I needed to hear. Some peeps are still quite extreme on that site, I see. Well, my blog’s version of Pomegranate would be completely mortified at this other Pomegranate’s idea of keeping Y/N in line.
Tumblr media
Being cruel to them is NOT the way to go for her. How could you possibly build any form of bond if the consequences are mentally scarring?
The closest my blog’s Pomegranate will go is pomegranate seed control and even then, it’s only as a last resort to get Y/N Cookie to come with the CoD if the usually grab and kidnap fails.
My blog’s Pomegranate is actually considerate of how Y/N Cookie feels, she’s seen but a glimpse of their pure soul and knew she had to treat it delicately. She’ll chastise her cohorts for being too incompetent in knowing how to deal with a cookie as gentle of a soul as Y/N Cookie.
Ultimately, I won’t diss the Wattpad author, perhaps that’s just their style of writing, but it’s clear that I write a crazy Pomegranate Cookie way more differently then they do.

I tweeted something about God’s Not Dead 5 last year, and today, the Pure Flix faithful came for me. Why now, I do not know for sure, but it may have something to do with the film being released soon.

Note
I would NOT recommend any of the God's not Dead movies or really any of the pure flix movies, as far as Christian movies go they tend to be watered down and shallow despite trying SO hard to be deep.
So not even “a so bad it’s kinda an Experience?” like Godspell?
