What are essential oils and How they work?
Essential oils mostly used in aromatherapy, a type of alternative medicine that uses plant extracts to promote health and well-being
WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?
Compounds taken out from plants are known as essential oils.
The oils retain the aroma and flavor of the plant or its "essence."
Each essential oil has its distinct aroma due to its unique aromatic components.
Distillation (through steam and/or water) or mechanical processes, such as cold pressing, is used to produce essential oils.
After the aromatic compounds have been extracted, they are mixed with a carrier oil to make a finished product.
Essential oils obtained through chemical methods are not regarded as authentic essential oils, thus how the oils are created is vital.
HOW DO ESSENTIAL OIL WORKS?
Aromatherapy, a practice in which these oils are inhaled through various methods. Essential oils should never be consumed. It includes molecules that interact with your body in a variety of ways. Some plant compounds are absorbed when applied to the skin.
Certain application methods, such as applying heat to diverse parts of the body, are thought to increase absorption.
Essential oil aromas can trigger portions of your limbic system, which is a region of your brain that is involved in emotions, behaviors, scent, and long-term memory.
Surprisingly, the limbic system plays a significant role in memory formation. This may help to explain why some scents might elicit memories or emotions.
The limbic system is also involved in the control of several unconscious physiological activities, including respiration, heart rate, and blood pressure. As a result, some people believe essential oils have a physical influence on the human body.
BENEFITS OF ESSENTIAL OILS
Despite their widespread use, little is known about essential oils' ability to treat certain illnesses.
Here's a look at the use of essential oils and aromatherapy to address some of the most common health issues.
Perfect to reduce stress and anxiety
Best for headaches and migraines
Improves sleep quality
Have anti-inflammatory effects
Antibiotic and anti-microbial
CONCLUSION
If essential oils are blended with a base oil, they are typically regarded as safe to inhale or apply to the skin. They must not be consumed.
Using essential oils as a supplemental therapy for minor health issues is likely to be safe and beneficial for various health issues.
If you have a significant health condition or are taking medication, you should talk to your doctor about how to utilize them.

Chandan Perfume: A Fragrant Journey Through Cultures
Have you ever caught a whiff of a fragrance that transported you to another world? Chandan, or sandalwood, is one such fragrance that weaves a rich tapestry of history, spirituality, and culture. This scent is more than just a delightful aroma; it carries centuries of tradition and significance across various cultures. In this post, I invite you to join me on a fragrant journey as we explore the history, cultural importance, and contemporary uses of Original Chandan Perfume.
Tumblr media
The History of Chandan Perfume
Ancient Roots
The story of chandan dates back thousands of years. Ancient texts, such as the Vedas, reference sandalwood as a sacred substance. It was revered not just for its enchanting scent but also for its purported spiritual and medicinal properties. Used in rituals and ceremonies, chandan became an essential part of spiritual life in many cultures. Imagine walking into a temple filled with the calming aroma of sandalwood incense, enveloping you in its soothing embrace.
Chandan in Trade
Chandan’s journey is also a tale of trade. Historically, sandalwood was transported across continents, fostering cultural exchanges. Trade routes opened up avenues for sharing not just sandalwood but also the stories and rituals tied to it. From India to the Middle East and beyond, the scent of chandan became a symbol of connection and unity, enriching lives across cultures.
Chandan in Different Cultures
Indian Culture
In India, chandan holds a special place. It’s woven into the fabric of rituals, from daily prayers to grand ceremonies. Hindus use chandan paste to mark their foreheads and offer it during worship, symbolizing purity and devotion. It’s believed that the aroma of chandan enhances focus during meditation, helping one connect with the divine.
In Ayurveda, chandan is cherished for its cooling properties and is often used in skincare products. Imagine treating yourself to a soothing chandan-infused lotion after a long day; it’s like giving your skin a breath of fresh air.
Middle Eastern Influence
In the Middle East, the allure of chandan is just as profound. Here, it has influenced traditional perfumery, becoming a staple in creating luxurious scents. Stories from the Islamic Golden Age highlight chandan’s role in rituals and personal grooming, showcasing how this fragrance transcends time and geography.
Southeast Asian Traditions
Southeast Asia, too, celebrates chandan. In countries like Indonesia and Malaysia, it’s an integral part of local customs, often used in traditional ceremonies and festivities. The rich scent of chandan fills the air during celebrations, symbolizing joy and togetherness.
Western Adaptations
In recent years, chandan has made its way into Western perfumery. Its warm, woody notes blend beautifully with floral and citrus scents, creating unique fragrances that appeal to a broad audience. The versatility of Original Chandan Perfume is a testament to its timeless appeal.
The Process of Making Chandan Perfume
Harvesting Sandalwood
Creating Original Chandan Perfume begins with the careful harvesting of sandalwood trees. These trees take years to mature, and responsible sourcing is crucial for sustainability. By choosing ethically sourced sandalwood, we not only preserve the environment but also ensure the quality of the fragrance.
Distillation Techniques
Once harvested, the sandalwood is subjected to distillation, a method that extracts its precious oil. Traditional steam distillation retains the oil’s authenticity, while modern techniques enhance its yield. The result? A pure, aromatic oil that captures the essence of chandan.
Crafting the Perfume
Blending the extracted oil with other fragrances is where the magic happens. Imagine the delicate balance of mixing chandan with floral, woody, and spice notes. Each blend tells a unique story, allowing you to find a scent that resonates with your personal journey.
The Scent Profile of Chandan Perfume
Olfactory Notes
The scent profile of chandan is complex yet comforting. It typically features a warm, creamy, and slightly sweet aroma, with woody undertones. The primary notes of Original Chandan Perfume create a sense of tranquility, while secondary notes can add depth and intrigue.
Emotional and Psychological Effects
Did you know that scent can significantly influence our emotions? The aroma of chandan has been associated with calming effects, making it perfect for meditation and relaxation. A simple application of Original Chandan Perfume can evoke feelings of serenity and peace, helping you navigate through your day with grace.
Modern Usage and Trends
Chandan in Contemporary Perfumery
In today’s fragrance market, chandan is experiencing a renaissance. Many perfumers are reimagining traditional blends, incorporating chandan into innovative compositions. It’s a delightful reminder of the past while embracing the present.
Sustainable and Ethical Considerations
As consumers become more conscious of sustainability, the demand for ethically sourced ingredients has risen. Our commitment to quality extends to our Original Chandan Perfume, ensuring that each bottle reflects our dedication to ethical sourcing and sustainability. By choosing our products, you’re not just indulging in a luxurious scent; you’re also supporting responsible practices.

From soothing lotions to refreshing face masks, the benefits of sandalwood are harnessed to enhance your daily routine. Just imagine a luxurious chandan-infused body wash that leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated and fragrant!
How to Incorporate Chandan into Daily Life
Using Chandan Perfume
Integrating Original Chandan Perfume into your daily routine is simple. Apply it to pulse points like your wrists and neck for a long-lasting scent. This way, you carry the enchanting aroma with you throughout the day.
DIY Chandan Products
Feeling adventurous? You can create your own chandan-infused products at home! Try making a soothing body oil by mixing sandalwood oil with a carrier oil. It’s a fantastic way to personalize your fragrance and connect with the tradition of chandan.
Cultural Celebrations
Consider incorporating chandan into your personal rituals. Whether it’s lighting a Chandan incense stick during meditation or using Original Chandan Perfume on special occasions, these small gestures can deepen your connection to this rich heritage.
As we’ve explored, chandan is not just a fragrance; it’s a cultural phenomenon that transcends borders and time. Its history, significance, and modern applications make it a truly unique scent worth celebrating. I encourage you to embark on your own journey with chandan, whether through the mesmerizing allure of Original Chandan Perfume or the calming rituals it inspires.

Ningxia Red - what tipped me over into YL
For the longest time I have resisted, but I finally caved.
It was something someone has let me sample more than 8 years back and at that time, although I had thought it was a great tasting product and seemed to give me an instant boost, I had reasoned, I didn't need it. I had gojiberries in my diet and they were easily available, easy to use in cooking, and probably I could get the other antioxidants and vitamins elsewhere in my diet.
Now that I'm a little older and starting to have some eye focusing issues, it didn't hurt to get a starter pack to see if it helped my eyes. Turned out - it did! I am not having such a difficult time reading text messages on my phone especially in the mornings, after only 2 weeks of intermittent use, and months later it seems to be a sustained benefit. Of course I am also more careful with my diet and choose to have more B vitamins, omega 3 and protein rather than the bare minimum I was going by during the Covid-19 era, but overall I am very grateful to have this product in my life to give me a headstart in my path to recovery.
If you are in the US, check out the starter bundle, it is full of the amazing benefits of gojiberry, citrus essential oils for that mental boost and other super antioxidant ingredients like sweet cherry, plum, blueberry, available to you at a discounted price. This also gets you an instant 24% off (member price) other Young Living products, without signing up as a brand partner:
If you are located in Singapore or Malaysia, you can always take advantage of the heavily discounted bundle price and sign up as a member, the benefits that Ningxia Red's antioxidants can do for your body is well worth the value.

Our Story
The skin is the first layer of defense for our human body and not to forget the most noticeable part of our body. Have you ever wondered about how humans looked after their body or skin back in the ancient days or even if they ever did? Yes, I was curious, and was amazed by what I had discovered.
Whenever ancient comes to mind, it brings me to the land of Egypt. During my early teen days, I was determined to study about the pyramids, watching shows on discovery channel and until today even scientists aren’t sure how it was built. It truly is a wonder as it could never be replicated with today’s latest technology.
This made me dive into the Egyptians way of tending their skins five thousand years ago. To my amusement they are in fact one of the trendsetters in terms of skin products. They have used a combination of essential oils produced naturally to preserve their youthful looks and nourishes the skin. Also, importantly acting as a shield against the glaring hot Egyptian sun during the 10th Millennium BC which can reach to 50 degrees Celsius.
We can also say in Malaysia the climate is almost similar. Jokes aside, I was hit with the idea to produce my own skin care product using natural ingredients and, in this case, essential oils as well. Not because of Malaysia’s hot weather but because more chemicals are used in skin products these days and are harming our skin and health. Have we forgotten the traditional use of many natural ingredients? It’s time to go natural.
After 7 months of endless research and development, PURE Organic Experts Solutions was born with our very first product the PURE Glow and Brightening serum. We handpicked 9 essential oils that gave the perfect aroma and nourishment to give the skin a glowing and youthful look. If you feel your skin is not reflecting your inner youthfulness this is the best solution.
Some of the ingredients used are, Jojoba oil extracted from the seed of Simmondsia chinensis plant which contains natural forms of Vitamin E that acts as an antioxidant and Rosehip oil produced from the fruit of the rose plant that contains Vitamin C for cell regeneration in skin. Surprised by what these organic substances can do? These are only 2 out of the 9 ingredients included and already your skin is feeling much healthier.
The name PURE best describes the organic ingredients used in our product and our intentions for all those who will be using the products. It is time to start using skin products produced naturally and avoid those chemically created. Imagine applying raw acidic chemicals on your body, it has the same effect eventually. Love your skin and bring out the pureness in you!

What Is Mink Brazilian Hair?
So what is MINK BRAZILIAN HAIR? Is it real? Is it a thing? Everyone seems to be a bit obsessed with mink hair extensions. Let's put it this way, think of mink hair as a beautiful mink coat, but, only for your head. Full, luxurious, and extremely thick, now that's dream hair! Well, it's a reality now, the term mink hair refers to the highest quality of virgin Brazilian hair. The quality is great, and the durability is even more excellent! Mink hair extensions color well, has a doubled stitch weft construction, is sourced from one donor, and flows in the same direction. I mean, really can it get any better? Want to know more about mink Brazilian hair, look no further, here’s your guide to what is mink Brazilian hair.
WHERE IS MINK BRAZILIAN HAIR FROM?
Almost, 100% of virgin hair is sourced from India, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Brazil, and Russia. The texture of your mink extensions dictates where they are derived from.
Different hair names including Peruvian and Brazilian refers to the texture of the hair and the donor. Mink Brazilian hair does not come from an actual mink unlike eyelash extensions.
WHAT IS VIRGIN HAIR?
Mink Brazilian hair is virgin hair, but on steroids! Virgin hair is 100% pure. No chemical processing at all. No perms, no color treatments, no dying, no bleaching, has not been blown dried, nor steamed or has not gone through any other chemical processing.
Virgin hair is also perfect because it is sourced from one donor! When purchasing bundles sourced from multiple donors, hair pieces will be slightly different in texture, length, and color sometimes!
When purchasing extensions from one donor, you are sure to receive:
No chemical processing
No exposure to harsh chemicals
Cuticles flowing in the same direction (Say goodbye to shedding, tangling, and little volume!)
Consistent lengths
Consister texture
Consistent color
WHAT IS A SINGLE DONOR?
This means all the hair in the individual bundle is gathered and wefted from the same person! Some may say this is not important, however, it is. Having a consistent curl pattern or color in your bundles allows your extensions to look more natural and realistic. Who doesn’t want that?
THE QUALITY DIFFERENCE
Mink hair is the highest quality virgin hair, period. The quality ensures thickness, fullness, and greater longevity compared to regular virgin hair.
Combining same follicle flow and extra softness it is easy to see why mink hair is tangle resistant! This makes mink hair easier to wash and comb, hello for time-saving hair!
Mink hair is also known for its high density, making it heavier and thicker because of its high density.
Mink hair is widely known for its high density making it more substantial and thick as well as being light, allowing the extensions to be very soft and have a lot of body to it.
Also, because of the density, it is less likely to frizz which is a great thing for the extremely humid states!

i definitely agree that a top priority in food issues is everybody having access to adequate nutrition, both from a calorie and nutrient perspective. but this post has a bunch of false statements in it
vegan leather doesn't really have anything to do with food, since we don't eat it, but i get your point. but while vegan leather made from (essentially) plastic is not great for the environment, its probably still better than leather.
i don't really know why avocados and quinoa should be a vegan thing specifically, because its obviously not just vegans eating them. but the quinoa thing is especially interesting, because its not true. this entire thing is literally based on an opinion article in a newspaper. a study that looked at the issue found that "The claim that rising quinoa prices were hurting those who had traditionally produced and consumed it [is] patently false." it actually increased their wealth.
palm oil as well is clearly not a vegan thing. and the situation is a bit more complicated than simply saying its purely bad.
yes, unfortunatly there are still many people in the world who experience food insecurity and even starvation. but again, why is this a vegan issue? why should this be put on the ~2% of the world population who are vegan?
and the thing is that we feed around 77% of our soy, around 50% of our grain to livestock. "For every 100 calories of grain we feed animals, we get only about 40 new calories of milk, 22 calories of eggs, 12 of chicken, 10 of pork, or 3 of beef."
overall, "just 55 percent of the world's crop calories are actually eaten directly by people. Another 36 percent is used for animal feed"
animal agriculture, and the high consumption of animal products in high income countries contributes to world hunger.
the un said in 2006 that "The livestock sector emerges as one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global"
it has since reaffirmed that stance and found that out of all diets they looked at, a vegan diet had the highest potential for ghg mitigation.
Tumblr media
all of the problems you mentioned exist without veganism, and many are actually worse without veganism. veganism is not the only solution, it wont be a magic fix. but no single thing will solve all the worlds problems.
(interestingly enough, the lead author of the oxford study on the effect of agriculture on environment, Joseph Poore said: “A vegan diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth, not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use.", but i digress)
"The only political opinion about food is making sure everyone has enough of it." do you really believe that? it would kind of make some of your previous points moot. what do i care about some trees being cut down in malaysia, it gives me cheap food? /s
i very much disagree. it is an important factor, probably the most important one. but climate impact, impact on workers rights (up to modern day enslavement) and animal welfare are also important factors.
veganism is about doing what you can. everybody can do their best
I wish diets and specific food choices weren't something someone made a part of their identity and values and politics so damn much. Like it's a fantasy if you thing everyone being vegan will save the planet to the point of buying faux leather made from plastic made from oil.
To the point of not understanding that you have avocados in December because the people whose country they came from don't have them, or have hard, rotted ones on the shelves in the market and they're four times the price they were before because exports are priority. Look up where quinoa actually comes from and how the absolute batshit demand for it has affected the people who it used to be a staple crop for. Look up fucking palm oil even the "sustainable" kind and how it's destroying Malaysia and check for it in every product you might eat or use for skincare or hair care.
PETA's murdering asses radicalized a bunch of people who want to believe, very badly, that if every working-two-jobs mom's kids ate eggplant instead of chicken we would stop global warming. Meanwhile kids are going hungry all summer and food banks are stretched and people in Hawaii and Alaska pay insane markups for it.
The only political opinion about food is making sure everyone has enough of it.
