NAPOCOR is set to pay a Php200 million subsidy to Occidental Mindoro Consolidated Power Corporation (OMCPC). Unfortunately, this can only cover one of three months' diesel bills of OMCPC. NAPOCOR is supposed to give Php1 billion in subsidy, but this is all they will give. This still won't solve Occidental Mindoro's power supply problem/crisis. Thanks still to Sen. Meeting With Mamburao TODA And SSS Representative

Mayor Lyn Tria had an urgent meeting with Mamburao tricycle operators regarding the mandatory 6 months SSS dues which the latter intends to collect upon renewal of their franchise for year 2019. This prompted Mayor Tria to call the presence of SSS representative (in blue shirt) who happens to be at the Municipal One-Stop-Shop for business permit renewal at the lobby of the Municipal Hall.

Tricycle operators expressed concern on the amount to be collected by SSS being heavy on their part and for being not informed ahead of time. SSS representative however explained that such order was only given to them by the regional office to implement, and that most of the operators failed to settle their monthly dues. Thus, such collection is meant to cover the arrears incurred the previous year.

To help the tricycle operators, Mayor Tria personally called via phone the SSS Regional Director and appealed for the possibility of lessening the operators' obligation at the start of the year. Luckily, it was granted. They reached an agreement for 6 months to be divided for certain number of payments, at least for now.

In the end, operators acknowledged their shortcomings and promised to settle their SSS monthly dues on time (self employed) in order to enjoy SSS benefits in years to come. They also thanked Mayor Tria and Mr. Girao (MPDC) for listening and for finding ways to resolve the issue in their behalf.

Board Member Atty. EK Almero calls on Pres. Bongbong Marcos, Jr. through a Resolution filed at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, to exercise his ‘presidential prerogative’ to issue directive among different national government agencies to resolve the power crisis in the Province of Occidental Mindoro.

It is to be remembered that PBBM mentioned the power woes during his campaign in Occidental Mindoro, promising to look into it if he wins the Presidency.

ISSUES & CONCERNS AT DELINQUENT SUPPLIERS NG SJDH 

Sa legislative inquiry on public health services na isinagawa ng Occidental Mindoro Sangguniang Panlalawigan, inilatag ni BM Kendi Villaroza ang mga issues and concerns patungkol sa San Jose District Hospital (SJDH) na resulta ng kanyang sariling observation. 

Samantala, inungkat naman ni BM Coco Mendiola kung sino ang deliquent suppliers ng nasabing ospital na nagiging dahilan upang hindi magawa ng mga hospital personnel ang kanilang trabaho sa kawalan ng gamit o supplies. Nais din niya na papanagutin o i-ban na ang mga delinquent suppliers.

Malinaw sa direksyon ng isinasagawang legislative inquiry ay matulungan ang public health service sector na masolusyunan ang kanilang mga suliranin at hindi para ipahiya o kastiguhin ang pamunuan ng mga ospital. 

Ang inquiry ay sa pangunguna ni BM Ryan Sioson bilang Chairman ng Committee on Health ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
