Summary:

The Encanto had experienced one of their biggest crises when the Madrigal family saw their Casita fall. Fortunately, they had been able to rebuild it with the help of the townspeople. Following that incident, the mountains were now split up, allowing anyone to get into the Encanto. Funny it took so long for someone new to actually enter the town!

And that first person was the doctor Alborotadora Remedios, therapist. While she had been hiking for days, a bag with all of her things on her back and the sun hot on her dark brown skin, she discovered an opening in the mountains. Her map wasn’t indicating any path or any way through, contradicting what she had in front of her. Wondering if it was related to the recent earthquake she had heard about, she decided to give it a go, reminding herself of all the times she enticed her patients into not being afraid to try new things. What kind of therapist would she be if she wasn’t applying her own advice? She told herself she’d back up if there was any danger.

Some Encanto facts found on producer Jared Bush's twitter

The three little kids are names Alejandra, "pumped" Juancho and Cecilia (the girl with braids)

Camillo's whole verse in "We Don't Talk About Burno" is pretty much an exaggeration from some rumors he heard, meaning he knew just as much as Mirabel, which is little to nothing

Camillo doesn't have to spin to use his power it's just *flair*

Antonio's jaguar is named Parce

The deadfish woman's name is Pezmuerto (which apparently means dead fish lmao)

The guy who grew a gut is named Osvaldo Orozco Ortiz (He also is the one who gave Mirabel the "Not special, special"

Burno apparently made the ritual up himself as a way to focus and cope, meaning that some visions were emotionally taxing.

Also means he is and always has been superstitious

Bruno has always been distant and kept to himself, even before he left. He overall isn't that comfortable around people

Abuela Alma has always been charmed by Felix. Agustin however was not her first choice for Julieta but Julieta loved him anyways.

Casita technically has some power over the individual rooms. Bruno's door was faded because he was "disconnected" from the family and the Casita represented that fact

What if Camilo refused to have a Gift ? (Post-Ceremony)

During the next few days after Camilo’s “failed” ceremony, the atmosphere was tense in Casita. 

Alma became more stern towards her grandson and refused to look at him without disdain and anger. Bruno didn’t stand in any opinion and was rather understanding of his sobrino, as his reputation made him think that he himself was better without a Gift.

Pepa and Félix are a bit worried and upset. The yellow-clad woman tried to support her Camilo, but was coldly rejected as the young boy noticed the dark cloud above her head. They have stopped trying since.

On the contrary, Julieta was still the kind aunt and mother she was. She always gave spare arepas to the young boy and Agustin tried to cheer Camilo up, but he ignored these words.

Luisa became busier, being expected to carry everything on her young back. By the time she changed the position of the church, she had to carry the donkeys back to their pens, then to carry huge and heavy bricks, and then it went on…

Isabela, well, since Abuela hates Camilo, she hates him too. Whenever Camilo was in the same room, she would sneer and flip her hair, saying that he was on the way.

Camilo stayed inside the nursery with only Mirabel as company. But the girl herself isn’t much help, as she resented him for refusing the family’s honor. Camilo, in return, thinks that she’s just some Primadonna like Isabela and doesn’t understand what the others want.

His point was amplified when during her Gift ceremony, she had been gifted with the ability of making clothes out of thin air. People immediately made a difference between Modela Mirabel and Cursed Camilo.

For his sixth birthday, Bruno offered him a mask and a set of painting brushes along with colors. The mask in itself was white, but Camilo could color it the way he wanted. He decided to make masks and wear a different one everyday.

Casita also gave him his own bedroom the same day so the young boy can have his own space and privacy. It wasn’t magically spacious like the others’ rooms, but it was large enough for him to be at ease.

But when Camilo tried to show it to someone, they would dismiss it, saying they don’t have the time for whatever Camilo does.

Everyone was surprised when they saw Camilo wearing a mask for breakfast, but they dismissed it, thinking it was a one-time thing. Same thing the next day, and again and again.

Since, he began to practice anything related to art, from drawing to painting as well as sewing and embroidery, not wanting to depend on Mirabel to make his clothes. He even embroidered his bag in three parts, the first his family branch, the middle with Bruno’s hourglasses, and the third Julieta and Agustin.

One day, he met three kids around his age, named Valentino, Arturo, and Angelica, and became friends. Camilo loved being with them, far from the judgements from other villagers and playing or bickering with them.

Whenever Camilo couldn’t bear being around his family, he was hiding in his bedroom or playing with his friends.

When Pepa announced that she was expecting, everyone was happy, but Camilo’s mood turned sour when Abuela said that she hopes that the child won’t end up like the artist.

Soon after Camilo turned ten, he saw young children struggling with dancing and drawing, the parents being too busy using the Gifts of the Madrigals to help them. So Camilo decided to step in.

“Look, nino, you’re holding your crayon wrong, try to hold it between your thumb and your index, like that.” “Chiquita, the main part of dancing is to listen to the music. No music means no dance.”

After that he became the many children’s unofficial teacher. He taught them how to dance, how to act, to draw/paint, and how to sew. His best students were Cecilia, who was good in drawing and sewing, Alejandra with dancing, and Pumped Juancho with his new acting skills, making the audience laugh.

Camilo considers the children as his students whereas the kids see him as an older brother figure.

After Antonio was born, he took a part in taking care of his newborn brother so his parents could relax. He never resented Antonio for being born, though he made Antonio laugh with his impression, he never took off any of his masks, like with the children.

This Mirabel is not as close with Antonio unlike the Canon!AU because of the many chores she has around the place.

Despite Camilo being close to his tio Bruno and Agustin, along with his tia Julieta and brother Antonio, the young boy wants to feel more recognized.

A proud Blacksmith like his father as well as a Crafter in Clay. He Met Karmen when she was on Tour. Ciel adores his kids as well as support their interest. He doesn't like to be strict as his wife but will intervene when necessary.

(Bottom right) KARMEN- Karmen Méndez, Mother of Sonia & Milo, Wife of Ciel. A Strong & strict woman, She was a opera singer in México, who gotten her break doing tours down to Colombia before meeting Ciel as well retire from her career. She birthed Sonia after a year living in Encanto. The miracle, that Alma kept safe, was Not a gift in her eyes, it was a burden. Karmen didn't like how it changed her husband's deceased friend's wife so She avoided her as much as she can. Karmen wanted Sonia to be ready for her life, from her experience, Looks & Talent can only get her so far.
