It'll gladly expose you to the horrors though! I just think the design and lore origins of this guy and its whole cult are really really interesting tbh"

First post whoopie! To start with is one of my favorite cartoon characters from the Land Before Time franchise, Pterano! But made him a human. I see all this cool fanart of this guy but when I try to google him as a human I hear crickets, so I figured Itd be fun to do it myself. I could improve on the hands but hey what artist doesnt struggle with hands amirite? Im overall pretty proud of these pieces!

I finally drew pterano. I know his claws look weird, but i'm having a hard time with them. I'm pleased with how his crest turned out. I didn't have to redaw it. So please enjoy my badly drawn pterano.

Yes, even The Land Before Time has an interesting bad guy. Pterano is Petrie's uncle who was banished from the valley. He tried to be the leader of the herd, many dinosaurs trusted him, but Pterano sent them to their deaths. Pterano returned to the valley again after many years because he caught wind of the 'stone of cold fire'. With the magic of the stone, he thought he could easily take over the Great Valley. What makes him complex as a villain, is that he still has this misguided conviction that he was born to be a leader, even though he still carries the guilt of his past actions.

"Kind of a jerk, hes so pompous and full of himself, but its actually kind of an act to hide the insecurities and PTSD he got from leading a group of other dinosaurs to their deaths back when everyone was trying to find the Great Valley, and being subsequently banished for that. Like yeah he commits some kidnapping and whatever in the movie, but he ends up saving Ducky and all the other kids when he finds out his coveted magic rock isnt actually magic at all and thats pretty cool of him I think. Also his voice actor delivers a top notch performance throughout the movie, its fantastic."

This dude might've been my first non-human crush growing up. He was obviously a bad guy in the beginning,but he always cared for his nephew Petrie, which made it easier for him to be redeemed in the end.
