Every day I listen and imagine that this song is by Fakir for Ahiru... (little angst/songfic)

It's a song of despair... Fakir knows that Ahiru's true self is a duck, and he knows that this is how things should be...

But nothing and no one prepared him for the painful loneliness he was about to go through...

And the solution to his deep loneliness lies in the lament of a request to an invisible God...

"Too late, the melody is over"

"The joke seems to be on me cos I'm the one not laughing"

The story is over, everyone seems to be perfectly fine, It seems that everyone has regained their freedom, everyone still retains their reason for happiness...

Except him

At times it seems that his world stops being bright and then he realizes that... Something is missing.

And his heart breaks again.

He constantly wonders, (more so in the night hours) when he can't sleep... He dares to wonder how things would have been if they had happened differently... Perhaps, if she were not of another species, this would hurt less.

He knows his desires are dangerous, but he takes care to keep them from growing any further.

He wants to think he prefers this world, where she sacrificed herself, taking his heart with her in the process. But his true desires are leaking out like a drip... Deep down, he knows exactly what he's willing to sacrifice.

And that terrifies him.

He keeps insisting that this is for the best... And again he ignores his heart that won't stop bleeding to stop his own lie. And he prefers to curse the day he fell in love, because it's easier to hate what makes him happy than to long for what he can't have.

Because he knows that when he crosses that line, nothing will stop him from sacrificing his own soul to get her back.

He still believes that his denial is mercy, that with time, this will stop hurting. But he remembers her bright smile and his search for her...

He wakes up once again, to realize that she is no longer with him.

He knows perfectly well that, as painful as it may be, he must face his reality, even if it is burning him very slowly. As if denying everything would serve to make his heart break.

Even though he still wants to have her in his arms... Because she took everything from him and he is terrified of living in a world where she is now a simple memory that led him to agony.

He has always said that he is fine since she left...

He is NOT well

He is a LIAR... As much as he wants to deny that he misses her very much, he knows that it is not true.

He misses her, he misses the only person who could see through him and didn't take advantage of it.

Sometimes he thinks that he would give everything to see her again, but he knows deep down that this pain is probably only his.

He misses the only girl who wanted to give him her heart even though he himself couldn't give her his because he wanted to save someone else...

And now he deeply regrets it and wants to give it all of himself this time. Even though she has taken everything from him.
