God Judges the Earth
1 Do you mighty people mighty people talk only to oppose justice? Don’t you ever judge fairly?
2 You are always planning evil, and you are brutal.
3 You have done wrong and lied from the day you were born.
4 Your words spread poison like the bite of a cobra
5 that refuses to listen to the snake charmer.
6 My enemies are fierce as lions, Lord God! Shatter their teeth. Snatch out their fangs.
7 Make them disappear like leaking water, and make their arrows miss.
8 Let them dry up like snails or be like a child that dies before seeing the sun.
9 Wipe them out quicker than a pot can be heated by setting thorns on fire.
10 Good people will be glad when they see the wicked getting what they deserve, and they will wash their feet in their enemies’ blood.
11 Everyone will say, “It’s true! Good people are rewarded. God does indeed rule the earth with justice.” — Psalm 58 | Contemporary English Version Interconfessional Edition (CEVIE) The Contemporary English Version Interconfessional Edition Bible is © American Bible Society. Notes: Psalm 58 is a cry for justice against the corrupt from the mouth of someone who has suffered under evil and silence. It's often difficult for those of us who have not experienced great evil and calloused silence to sympathize with the strong language used to describe these evil leaders and gods.
Key Passages in Psalm 58
1. David reproves wicked judges 3. describes the nature of the wicked 6. devotes them to God's judgments 10. whereat the righteous shall rejoice

1 O LORD, God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 Rise up, O judge of the earth; repay to the proud what they deserve!
3 O LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult?
4 They pour out their arrogant words; all the evildoers boast.
5 They crush your people, O LORD, and afflict your heritage.
6 They kill the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless;
7 and they say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive."
8 Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise?
9 He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see?
10 He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge-
11 the LORD-knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.
12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O LORD, and whom you teach out of your law,
13 to give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the LORD will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage;
15 for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
16 Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers?
17 If the LORD had not been my help, my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
18 When I thought, "My foot slips," your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up.
19 When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.
20 Can wicked rulers be allied with you, those who frame injustice by statute?
21 They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge.
23 He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out.
(Psalms 94, ESV)

17th July >> Mass Readings (USA)
Wednesday, Fifteenth Week in Ordinary Time
(Liturgical Colour: Green. Year: B(II))
First Reading Isaiah 10:5-7, 13b-16 Will the axe boast against the one who hews with it?
Thus says the LORD:
Woe to Assyria! My rod in anger, my staff in wrath. Against an impious nation I send him, and against a people under my wrath I order him To seize plunder, carry off loot, and tread them down like the mud of the streets. But this is not what he intends, nor does he have this in mind; Rather, it is in his heart to destroy, to make an end of nations not a few.For he says:
“By my own power I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I am shrewd. I have moved the boundaries of peoples, their treasures I have pillaged, and, like a giant, I have put down the enthroned. My hand has seized like a nest the riches of nations; As one takes eggs left alone, so I took in all the earth; No one fluttered a wing, or opened a mouth, or chirped!”
Will the axe boast against him who hews with it? Will the saw exalt itself above him who wields it? As if a rod could sway him who lifts it, or a staff him who is not wood! Therefore the Lord, the LORD of hosts, will send among his fat ones leanness, And instead of his glory there will be kindling like the kindling of fire.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 94:5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 14-15
R/ The Lord will not abandon his people.
Your people, O LORD, they trample down, your inheritance they afflict. Widow and stranger they slay, the fatherless they murder.
R/ The Lord will not abandon his people.
And they say, “The LORD sees not; the God of Jacob perceives not.” Understand, you senseless ones among the people; and, you fools, when will you be wise?
R/ The Lord will not abandon his people.
Shall he who shaped the ear not hear? or he who formed the eye not see? Shall he who instructs nations not chastise, he who teaches men knowledge?
R/ The Lord will not abandon his people.
For the LORD will not cast off his people, nor abandon his inheritance; But judgment shall again be with justice, and all the upright of heart shall follow it.
R/ The Lord will not abandon his people.
Gospel Acclamation Matthew 11:25
Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, you have revealed to little ones the mysteries of the Kingdom. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel Matthew 11:25-27 Although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.
At that time Jesus exclaimed: “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

"Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.”
Isaiah 59:1-2
People often complain that God doesn’t hear their prayers, especially when God does not respond in the way they would like. But He can hear, all right! “He that planted the ear, shall he not hear?” He even hears our thoughts. “Thou knowest...my thought afar off” (Psalm 94:9; 139:2).
It is not that God cannot hear, but it may be that we have not met the conditions for answered prayer so that He will hear. Probably the most important of these conditions is obedience to His Word. “If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you,” said Jesus, “ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7).
But, “if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Psalm 66:18). “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” (James 4:3).
There are other conditions, of course. “Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering” (James 1:6). “Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do,” said Jesus (John 14:13). “If we ask any thing according to His will...we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him” (1 John 5:14-15).
Even if we do meet all the conditions, however, He may not answer immediately or in the way we prefer, and He might even answer no. After all, He knows better than we just what is best for us, and He will see that “all things work together for good” for us if we truly “love God” (Romans 8:28).
But, first of all, we need to check our lives in relation to His Word. Then, “if our heart condemn us not...whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments” (1 John 3:21-22).

Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; no one does good!
Luke 24:25
Then Jesus said to them, “You are such foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures.”
Jeremiah 5:4, 21
Then I said, “But what can we expect from the poor and ignorant? They don’t know the ways of the Lord. They don’t understand what God expects of them . . . Listen, you foolish and senseless people—who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear.”
Fools don’t believe in God, his ways or his Word. They see the footprints and fingerprints of the Creator but deny he is there.
Romans 1:21
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. The result was that their minds became dark and confused.
Psalm 94:7-8
“The Lord isn’t looking,” they say, “and besides, the God of Israel doesn’t care.” Think again, you fools! When will you finally catch on?
Fools ignore God, neglect God, or make up their own minds about who God is and what he is like.
Proverbs 28:26
Trusting oneself is foolish, but those who walk in wisdom are safe.
Proverbs 12:15
Fools think they need no advice, but the wise listen to others.
Romans 1:22
Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.
Fools think they are in control of their lives and their future; therefore, they don’t listen to advice.
2 Chronicles 16:7-9
At that time Hanani the seer came to King Asa and told him, “Because you have put your trust in the king of Aram instead of in the Lord your God, you missed your chance . . . The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on, you will be at war.”
Isaiah 19:11-13
What fools are the officials of Zoan! Their best counsel to the king of Egypt is stupid and wrong. Will they still boast to Pharaoh of their wisdom? Will they dare brag about all their wise ancestors? Where are your wise counselors, Pharaoh? Let them tell you what God plans, what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is going to do to Egypt. The officials of Zoan are fools, and the officials of Memphis are deluded. The leaders of the people have led Egypt astray.
What fools are the counselors of Zoan! Their best counsel to the king of Egypt is stupid and wrong. Will they still boast of their wisdom? Will they dare tell Pharaoh about their long line of wise ancestors? What has happened to your wise counselors, Pharaoh? If they are so wise, let them tell you what the Lord Almighty is going to do to Egypt. The wise men from Zoan are fools, and those from Memphis are deluded. The leaders of Egypt have ruined the land with their foolish counsel.
Fools place their trust in the wrong people. Fools who trust in other fools don’t have a promising future!
Proverbs 15:14
A wise person is hungry for truth, while the fool feeds on trash.
Proverbs 1:22
“You simpletons!” she cries. “How long will you go on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools fight the facts?”
Fools don’t believe the truth, while the wise crave it.
Proverbs 14:8
The prudent understand where they are going, but fools deceive themselves.
Fools don’t plan for the future; they live only for the moment.

It is no coincidence that Putin says the name of their most powerful nuclear weapon is Satan-2. He said it ‘has the capability of wiping out England in one strike’.
We must pray very hard for the conversion of sinners and those who persecute us, my dear brothers and sisters.
Even if it comes to nuclear strikes for the annihilation of nations, do not be afraid. Remember that the Lord, Our God, is the avenger.
Psalm 94
1 The Lord is a God who avenges.
O God who avenges, shine forth.
2 Rise up, Judge of the earth;
pay back to the proud what they deserve.
3 How long, Lord, will the wicked,
how long will the wicked be jubilant?
4 They pour out arrogant words;
all the evildoers are full of boasting.
5 They crush your people, Lord;
they oppress your inheritance.
6 They slay the widow and the foreigner;
they murder the fatherless.
7 They say, “The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob takes no notice.”
8 Take notice, you senseless ones among the people;
you fools, when will you become wise?
9 Does he who fashioned the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?
10 Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge?
11 The Lord knows all human plans;
he knows that they are futile.
12 Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord,
the one you teach from your law;
13 you grant them relief from days of trouble,
till a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not reject his people;
he will never forsake his inheritance.
15 Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked?
Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?
17 Unless the Lord had given me help,
I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.
18 When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.
19 When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy.
20 Can a corrupt throne be allied with you—
a throne that brings on misery by its decrees?
21 The wicked band together against the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the Lord has become my fortress,
and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.
23 He will repay them for their sins
and destroy them for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will destroy them.

Berakhot 13a: 1. "The Stop."
The people of Israel do not have a contrite spirit. They are failing at being Jews. Because of this Donald Trump and the Mormons and the rest of the ultra orthodox community are going to now be able to kill every Jew and every Muslim that stand in their way.
The verb דכא (daka') is almost exclusively used to describe the effects of oppression, whether wrongful or just. Hence the poor and needy are crushed in court (Proverbs 22:22), Israel's leaders crush their people (Isaiah 3:15) and the wicked crush the righteous (Psalm 94:5). God in turn crushes oppressors (Psalm 72:4) and the wicked (Job 34:25) and even his servant (Isaiah 53:5). On a purely theological stage, YHWH crushes Rahab (Psalm 89:10).
This verb's derivatives are:
The adjective דכא (dakka'), meaning contrite or crushed (Psalm 34:18 and Isaiah 57:15 only).
The identical noun דכא (dakka'), meaning dust. This noun occurs only in Psalm 90:3, which reads "You turn man back into dust and say: 'Return, O children of men'," which might as well be interpreted as "You convert people by making them contrite".
These circumstances are not fit for you. The Mishnah continues:
Not that "Jacob" will be uprooted from his place, but that "Israel" will be uprooted and "Jacob" will take care of him. And so he says, "Do not remember firsts, and do not look at firsts." Exodus from Egypt.
No one cares about what happens to Israel, or Jews, or the religion quite like I do. I have looked after you though thick and thin and fought every battle for you, and still you wait to be killed for your friends and your enemies alike. I will not forsake this Shabbos because I want to win. My victory is for the right reasons and the right prize. You should consider this.
The Value in Gematria is 10446, יםדו, yamdu, "stand up, get up, it is time for it to stop."
We have a rock solid legal claim against the United States and a way to put the authors of October 7 to death and end our oppression forever. What are you waiting for?

Let your Steadfast Love Come to Me, O Lord
41 Let Thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even Thy salvation according to Thy word; 42 so shall I have the answer for him that reproacheth me, for I trust in Thy word. 43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for I have hoped in Thy judgments. 44 So shall I keep Thy law continually, for ever and ever. 45 And I will walk in liberty, for I seek Thy precepts. 46 I will speak of Thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. 47 And I will delight myself in Thy commandments which I have loved. 48 My hands also will I lift up unto Thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate on Thy statutes. — Psalm 119:41-48 | Third Millennium Bible (TMB) Third Millennium Bible, New Authorized Version, Copyright 1998 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. Notes: All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. Charles Spurgeon characterizes Psalm 119:41-48 in this way: “In these verses, holy fear is apparent and prominent. The man of God trembles for fear that in any way or degree the Lord might remove His favor from him.

THE BIBLE BOOK OF GOD
Old Testament
Psalm 94
The Lord Will Not Forsake His People
94 O Lord, God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, shine forth! 6 They kill the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless; 7 and they say, “The Lord does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive.”
8 Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise? 9 He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? 10 He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge— 11 the Lord—knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.
12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O Lord, and whom you teach out of your law, 13 to give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked. 14 For the Lord will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage; 15 for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
16 Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers? 17 If the Lord had not been my help, my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence. 18 When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
Psalm 94

A link to my personal reading of the Scriptures
for the 21st of September 2024 with a paired chapter from each Testament (the First & the New Covenant) of the Bible
[The Book of Revelation, Chapter 21 • The Book of Joshua, Chapter 16]
along with Today’s reading from the ancient books of Proverbs and Psalms with Proverbs 21 and Psalm 21 coinciding with the day of the month, accompanied by Psalm 94 for the 94th and closing day of Astronomical Summer, and Psalm 115 for day 265 of the year (with the consummate book of 150 Psalms in its 2nd revolution this year)
A post by John Parsons:
“What else does anxiety about the future bring you but sorrow upon sorrow?” ― Thomas à Kempis
====
The devil wants you to be afraid, to be very afraid, and indeed, inciting fear is the primary weapon he uses against us... The devil understands that fear profoundly affects the way the human brain processes images and messages: Fear colors the way we see and hear things. Fear makes us feel angry, unsettled, and unhappy. And since the mind and body are intricately interconnected, fear is the root cause of many physiological problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, clinical depression, and other ailments. Left unchecked, fear can be deadly...
Most of our negative emotions come from fearful thoughts, including anger, frustration, and rage. On a spiritual level, fear and worry can cause people to question God’s love, to doubt His promises, and so on. The devil knows that frightening people causes them to be unsettled, off-balance, and therefore vulnerable to all sorts of sickness, manipulation, and deception. Living in fear is a form of slavery (Heb. 2:15).
Logicians call illegitimate appeals to fear argumentum ad baculum, or the “appeal to the stick.” When someone plays on your fears, it is wise to discern whether there is any basis in reality for the supposed threat, or if the appeal is simply a rhetorical scare tactic intended to persuade (coerce) you to accept some sort of conclusion. Unscrupulous people such as advertisers, politicians, dictators, community organizers, social activists, and so on, regularly use fear to manipulate public opinion, of course, and they are only too glad to tell you exactly what you should fear. They are delighted to prey upon your anxieties and then offer you their supposed “remedy.” You know whom they serve, friends...
The war for truth began in the Garden of Eden, when Satan lied to Eve by saying that she would not die if she disobeyed God (Gen. 3:4). Satan cunningly played on Eve’s fear of being deceived to persuade her to disobey. Fear, then, is the emotional center of sin and the opposite of faith. The fearful are referred to as the “unbelieving” and those who “love and make a lie” (Rev. 21:8, 22:15).
God repeatedly tells us not to be afraid – not of man, nor of war, nor of tribulation, nor of various plagues, yea, nor even of death itself (Rom. 8:35-39). Indeed, one of the most frequently occurring commandments in Scripture is simply al-tirah, “Be not afraid.”
But how do we overcome our fear? How can we live our faith in the midst of a worldwide cultural slide into deception and insanity? How can we walk in peace while a worldwide tyranny is crafting a globalist police state wherein no one will be able to buy or sell if they are not wholly subservient to the dictates of an unseen power elite? How else but by wholeheartedly trusting that God is with us? The LORD will never leave nor forsake us, even if we are faced with difficult circumstances. The antidote to fear is heartfelt faith in God’s love for us (1 John 4:18). God saves us from our fears (Psalm 34:4, 2 Tim. 1:7). When we trust that God personally cares for us, we find comfort and courage to face life without fear.
