A link to my personal reading of the Scriptures

for the 12th of november 2024 with a paired chapter from each Testament (the First & the New Covenant) of the Bible

[The Book of Luke, Chapter 7 • The Book of 1st Samuel, Chapter 19]

along with Today’s reading from the ancient books of Proverbs and Psalms with Proverbs 12 and Psalm 12 coinciding with the day of the month, accompanied by Psalm 52 for the 52nd day of Astronomical Autumn, and Psalm 17 for day 317 of the year (with the consummate book of 150 Psalms in its 3rd revolution this year)

Yeshua told us: "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed" (John 20:29). Despite the struggle of this life - our sorrows, pains, and even death itself - we believe in God's love and promise for us, even if we do not presently see the fulfillment of our hope, just as Abraham believed the promise that he would be the father of an innumerable multitude long before he saw any sign of its fulfillment. Abraham "believed the impossible" and "hoped against hope" (παρ᾽ ἐλπίδα ἐπ᾽ ἐλπίδι), meaning that hope moved within him even though there was nothing to see in the realm of the natural -- he believed in an unseen good; he trusted in the One who gives life to the dead and who "calls into existence the things that do not exist" (Rom. 4:17).

The Scripture comments: "He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not stumble over the promise of God through unbelief but was strong in faith, and gave glory to God, fully persuaded that God was able to do what he had promised, and that is why his faith was counted to him as righteousness" (Rom. 4:19-22).

Likewise we are called to believe in an unseen good, an unimaginably wonderful destiny for our lives, as it says, "Things no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor mind imagined, are the things God has prepared for those who love him" (1 Cor. 2:9). Faith does not use natural reason or the evidence of the senses to see the unseen, but it "believes to see" through “eyes of the heart" to know the hope of God's calling and to attain the blessing (Eph. 1:18). Faith in God's love comes from a different source and has a different means of apprehension than human wisdom, so that no matter how things might appear in this fallen world, the LORD God may be known and trusted to work all things for our ultimate good. "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." Amen.

Dans le Psaume 27 verset 4, la  Vision de David est ainsi exprimée par lui-même : "Je demande à l’Eternel une chose, que je désire ardemment: Je voudrais habiter toute ma vie dans la Maison de l’Eternel, pour contempler la magnificence de l’Eternel et pour admirer Son Temple. "  Habiter toute sa vie dans la Maison de Dieu était le rêve de David, car il avait eut la compréhension que la gloire, la richesse, la renommée et le pouvoir qu’il possédait ne pouvait en rien se comparer en rien à la gloire d’habiter dans la Maison de Dieu pendant toute sa vie et de contempler Sa beauté.

Tsarouchis a de ce rêve une vision très personnelle et très profane  mais qui exprime sa propre conception de la beauté absolu. Dans la maison de Dieu donc il y aurait donc dans un coin du paradis, cet homme attablé, torse nu et en short,  le regard insolent, et qui tend au spectateur son pied nu sur une chaise alors que l'autre repose au sol et porte une chaussette. Une vision assez  "fétichiste" de la beauté absolue selon Tsarouchis, pourrait-on déduire... si ce n'est que ce jeune homme n'est qu'un détail de l'ensemble de ce grand tableau qui présente d'autres conceptions de la beauté absolue pouvant peupler la maison de Dieu dont quelques anges-soldats aux ailes de papillons.
