I turned Vox and Feedback into Disassembly Drones!

It was so troubling to think about their hairstyles, I had to make a weird beanie for Feedback to make his tendrils, and I just realized I just turned them into a different version of J and V from how I made Feedback’s design

But I’d say I nailed it

Plus I put the Omnitrix symbol on Feedback’s chest like how the Worker and Murder Drones have a symbol on their chest. I think the WiFi symbol would be good on Vox

i want to play a game like facade again. i want to be able to destroy the relationship between two barely cobbled together ais. i want to be able to type random bullshit and have them stare blankly at me to try to process it. ign said the walking dead games was like facade fuck off telltale could never be facade

On reflection I have mixed feelings about my childhood involvement in professional performing arts, but there are some very, very important things I got out of it, including the capacity to easily receive critical feedback on my work (whether professional or artistic) without either collapsing in insecurity or responding defensively.

I don't think I realized until reaching adulthood both how important a skill that would be and how rare it is for people to actually be given the opportunity to develop it.

#obviously there are ways that feedback happens in performing arts which are unhealthy #but on balance & particularly how it played out in my experience it's a lot better than not building that skill at all #personal #my dissolute past as a child performer #there's also a weird thing that's happened in leftist circles where 'receiving feedback' has become synonymous with 'getting called out'#and that has also eroded the distinction between giving feedback on someone's work vs giving feedback about someone's self #which I think is very unhealthy & ultimately makes it hard for anyone to receive feedback in a productive way #anyway it's the end of the year & I'm reflecting on some things #advocacy #(implied)

How do you draw so frequently???

I'm starting to think I probably have some passive ADHD so I end up always admiring ppl who can just constantly do stuff, it's like a dream, your art is also like a dream, Vasco is also a sweet dream, I really like Vasco, he looks really sweet

I set aside a little bit of time every evening just to draw, it's become almost like a wind down routine for me. It helps if I don't treat it as serious 100% effort hard mode art time, I usually multitask a little on the side, watch a movie or take breaks to do little chores around the house and art just sort of happens if it happens. Lately I've been making mostly personal low pressure feel-good pieces.

#this isn't really normal for me either I'm typically way WAY more shiftless #I've been unusually productive during these past few months but I may slow down sooner or later #drawing Vasco/Machete stuff is nice it gives me some badly needed serotonin and results in this positive feedback loop #so I keep making more #I also switched to different antidepressants earlier this year and I'm thinking maybe they have something to do with it #perhaps they reconnected some wires in my brain and suddenly drawing became a lot easier and more enjoyable who's to say #I'm just trying to make the most out of this creative period while it lasts #answered #anonymous #own characters #Vasco

Hiiii, I'm sick again 🫠

What better time to come to start a new life project that is filling up all my spare time and is likely to span over several years. No that sounds a bit too exaggerated. It's really making me happy right now and I want to get it out there.

Okay I know they're still naked. But I'm working on an equipment system for interchangeability. Feedback welcome!

I'll talk about the game and my ideas in later posts, but I'm not revealing too much when I'm telling you it's going to be a cozy farming sim about goblins in the woods.

I really started it last week and as I'm crazy I started with composing music to motivate myself. I know I needed something to push me over the doubts of only creating bad things. But I managed to finish 3 tracks I really love.

I don't know if I should publish them yet, because I never done something like it and I don't know if it's smart. Maybe it's better to get a trailer ready and publish it within.

For documentation and devlogs I use obsidian, which I set up to fill my needs.

However. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I decided to use godot for now. Here we go 😉 byee

"i like to packbond with everything" is um. a really fucking concerning statement to make when discussing AI, especially the question of if AI can reach sentience. that really should be the very first alarm bell you learn to watch for when you get into studying AI 😬

#i never formally went into AI research due to a mixture of disdain for the majority of commercial AI products + undergrad almost killing me #but ive kept up more or less with where things are at and like #a) we are still using a statistical model #b) we still dont understand how the brain utilizes its heuristics to switch between them #which is first of all the main failure of AI to generalize (or even just not hyper specialize)#when you compare it to the human brain like #the brain has all kinds of weird statistical models (approximately) right #these are heuristics #just ways of determining is thing x #we can more or less do this task with AI!#the PROBLEM is that the brain then can determine Which Heuristic Is Most Appropriate (more or less)#we have no fucking clue how it does that #or really how the feedback loop of learning actually works for meat #the statistical model was sort of our first/most popular attempt to try simulating a feedback learning loop in the brain #and like. mixed results! again! AI can't generalize and we dont even know how the brain works properly #so my personal opinion is that we cannot simulate the human brain any better with current approaches to the problem #and like. if we cant even simulate the bare bones functionality of the brain.#how the everliving fuck do you think it can simulate thought or existence?#we dont know how that works either but like its clearly generated by SOMETHING in the brains functionality #without that you got no hope of a sentient computer #flat out. it isnt happening.#what we DO know though is that the human brain is an anthropomorphizing machine #it can interpret anything as alive or humanlike #we know however this is a fucking trap in regards to intellectual pursuits #ergo: talking about pack bonding and AI study in the same breath?#you are victim to one of the human brain's fondest delusions and it will hold you back from truly studying anything on the topic #yelling at the void
