Aranahe
So’lek x Sarentu!Reader
Summary for this part: Etuwa, the tsahik of the Aranahe clan has invited you to her Hometree. You are determined to convince her father, the olo’eyktan, Ka’nat, to join the Resistance to fight against the RDA. But it seems to be a tough hill to climb. No worries, it seems you have gained a teacher for hunting.
Word count: 5K
A/N: I'm really sorry it took so long to post this part, I was sick for a week and half where I couldn't even get out of bed and go to work. Then when I finally got back to working, I got a big project to handle. I thought of posting this over the weekend. But I'll need to rest for a bit as my doctor told me, so I'll try my best to work on the next part as well!
Prev - Masterlist - Next
Although you were excited that Etuwa asked you to come by her Hometree, you felt the need to recharge yourself and head out with proper equipment and restock on your supplies. You decide the best thing to do is to head back to the base for now and possibly leave in a day or two for the Aranahe clan.
You also want to check up on the rest of the team and see how they're doing and reassure Priya, who has been contacting you through your radio, that you are indeed fine, albeit with a few bruises here and there, nothing much to worry about compared to the Resistance members that were hurt during the attack at the research field lab.
You can finally see the familiar sight of the base in the distance as you travel back, a sigh of relief escaping you, although the base is a bit cramped for Na’vis, it has become a safe haven to you throughout these times. However, you do not want to think about the other reason or Na’vi in this case of why you find the base calming. You sigh again, these thoughts about So’lek consuming you out of nowhere. You wonder if these thoughts about him are because he is a new member to your band of Na’vi, those who you have known your whole life or is this feeling and thoughts something more that you cannot describe.
You’re brought out of your thoughts when you hear the airlock door open with a hiss and head inside the base after waiting for the second door to open as well. Your head turns to look around for the bubbly human you have come to adore. You notice that a certain Na’vi is missing. So’lek must be finishing up some loose ends and is probably the reason why he’s not back yet.
You finally hear her voice near the comms as she seems to be explaining something excitedly to Anqa again, who looks to be back from her mission out in the field labs. Her hands move animatedly as she explains and she must see you in the corner of her eyes because the next thing you hear from her is, “Y/N!”.
You grin as you head over to Priya, smiling at Anqa as well, who smiles back at you and claims she has some work and heads out. You turn to look at Priya who seems to have a suspicious wide grin, as if she’s being mischievous and hiding something. You look at her curiously before deciding to ignore it for now. “Hi Priya, I got rid of the bad guys just like I said I would”. You state proudly.
“Thank you so much Y/N! Honestly I was worried that we wouldn’t get there in time but you really did save them, Alma and So’lek told me you fought really hard and amazingly!” priya tells you as you bend down to speak to her at equal eye level. You smile, feeling happy that Alma and especially So’lek were praising you for the job you did. However, before you could get any word in, Priya gasps, “Wait! I wanted to ask, are you hurt anywhere ? Do you need me anything to help you ? I see you have bruises, Oh god I’m gonna tell the medic team, you should really rest up !”
You stare at her in surprise, not sure what to say about all that but you know that you have to stop her from worrying again. You place a hand on her shoulder smiling gently, explaining to her in a calm manner, “I’m alright Priya, I promise. I made sure to take a Dapophet plant after the fight and don’t worry I will rest up.” You giggle at the relief in her face and continue, your heart warm from a human caring about you. You were always treated like freaks at TAP, “Thank you for worrying about me Priya, you are a really good friend”.
Priya grins at that, however it seems to be that mischievous grin again and lets out a secret that was supposed to be kept a secret, but Priya decided that playing matchmaker might be fun, “So’lek sounded really worried about you know? He radioed me and basically asked me to check up on you which I was already gonna do because we’re friends and that’s what friends do, but that’s like the first time he’s asked something like that, like ever! I also tried to ask him what’s going on-”. You don’t seem to hear the last of her sentence because you feel like your heart wants to jump out of your chest with how much it’s beating, your cheeks heat up again for honestly the nth time, So’lek being the main cause of all this.
To hear that he was worried for you and asked about you to Priya, who says that this kind of thing is a first for him? Your thoughts about him were already jumbled and yet here he does again with him not even being present! So’lek’s words were repeating in your head and even Priya can notice for the first time that you’re not listening to her and she just giggles feeling like she completed an important mission. If she thinks this is going the way it’s going, then she hopes that she can be the first one to say to So’lek something like I told you so.
“I think I will rest Priya, I will head out to the Aranhe clan in a day or two. Irayo (Thanks) for checking on me”, You say to her before you head out of the base, Priya waves a bye at you in response with a knowing smile and goes back to her work. You decide to head to the campfire under one of the base tunnels, where you figure that it would be a good place to rest up and you were also hoping to avoid So’lek as well, just so that you can clear your head for a bit.
As you rush out of the base to head to the campfire underneath it, your mind is swirling with thoughts on what Priya said again, sighing, you decide to remove your gear and eat a Rich Meat Roast. After all the fighting you definitely feel famished and exhausted. Maybe tomorrow you can talk with Nor again and see how he feels. You also feel like you need to talk to Teylan, you haven’t spoken to him much once you reached the base, maybe you can ask him some questions on tech the humans use, he usually gets so excited about them even though you much prefer the NA’vi way. Though some of the human contraptions do have their benefits
Although Teylan is not your brother by blood, you worry so much over him, not only with his fascination with human tech but also over the radio that Mercer gave to him. It seems that no matter what, Mercer would have some control over that boy, your little brother. You wish you could purge his mind about any fears of Pandora, of being a Na’vi. Maybe one day you and So’lek can talk with him
There you go again thinking about him, you sigh and just lay down, forcing your mind to just empty and sleep. You try to remember your sister humming the song of your people and it seems sleep comes to you at that moment, with one thought left before you do.
‘You would have loved Pandora Aha’ri’
It’s been two days, you have finally rested and restocked all the materials you would need on your journey to the Aranahe clan. You feel nervous, you are so used to the Humans and So’lek at the resistance, that meeting Na’vi out in Pandora was something else. But it also lit a fire of excitement and determination in you, you hope to get them on your side in fighting the RDA for Pandora.
You gave farewell to your friends at the base and set out. It took you awhile to get there on foot, but you managed to get there without encountering much predators. As you were passing by you noticed, 3 Na’vi crouched and talking to each other, they looked at you in shock and started whispering furiously
“Is that…That looks like a Sarentu?”
“A Sarentu? The lost clan?”
“Look at the mark!”
“It must be something else. The Sarentu are long gone.”
“Ka’nat will want to know about this’
“Let them pass. Hometree’s scouts will see them soon enough.”
You hurry along, not sure what to feel from the encounter. It seems the shock of meeting a Sarentu might be the highlight of many of the Na’vi people. You can only hope that it is with Joy that your clan has been back to the people. You finally reach what seems like the entrance to the Aranhe Hometree, there are three important looking Na’vi who look to be in a deep discussion. As you approach them closer, someone shouts from above.
“You! Stranger!” A Na’vi male comes flying down from an Ikra and lands while holding a bow aimed at you, he’s agitated as he continues talking, “I’ve not seen your kind before. What clan are you?”. One of the other female Na’vi who was having a discussion also aimed a bow at you, seeming to reply to the cautious Na’vi, “They look odd”.
Well that’s just rude.
You decide to calm them by raising your hands in a surrender manner and explain the situation as the other two who were in the back walked closer to you, “Etuwa invited me here…to see her father.” The very important and regal Na’vi comes even closer to you, his features seeming similar to Etuwa. “What’s that on your face?” one of the Na’vi aiming an arrow at your face asked you. The Na'vi, who you think might be Etuwa’s father, makes the Na’vis point their bow at you to lower their guard with a shout, “It’s the mark of a Sarentu!”
He comes even closer, slowly circling your body, his gaze looking up and down at your form with slight disdain, “and yet, the Sarentu we once knew did not defy Eywa with scraps from the Sky people”.
Ok you get his hate but this is just plain rude, It was honestly most of what you had during your time a tap and it helped you in battles. “It’s all I know.”. You wish that it was different, that you grew up with more of the Sarentu Na’vi in you, “They stole us when we were children.”
The Na’vi seem to agree with your statement with his own, “They have stolen many things. You were gone a long time. And you are young. Has your spirit been molded by the Sky people? Or do you remember the ways of your clan?” You are thankful that Nor isn’t there to hear this, because it made even you, feel doubtful of your connection to your people. Why did it hurt so much to hear such questions you did not know?
The other older female Na’vi, who has a yellow chest guard around her shoulders, looks like she’s had enough with the conversation, making hand motions of lowering and making a dismissing face to the guarded Na’vi, “Shoo, put that away”
She comes closer to you holding you by the shoulders, curiously gazing deep into your eyes, “Hmm. Sharp eyes. A Sarentu’s gaze. But yours is heavy” Her voice is gentle as she notices. She must see the pain in your eyes from the years stolen. She points to the Hometree as she holds you gently, “I am Nefika, let Hometree be a refuge from your burdens. We will put some color in your cheeks. Or clothes, at the very least.” she jokes in her last statement, making you feel lighter, you definitely like her a lot already. You can see through the corner of your eye that Ka’nat who you have determined, is still circling you.
Nefika continues as she holds your hands gently, “You will pick up the threads of your people here. Oh,How I miss their stories.” As if struck by some nostalgia, she places her hand on Ka’nat, looking at him, remembering her past with the Sarentu, She looks back at you, “They loved our Silk Harvest. The sweet smell of dye, ma’ yawntu! (loved one)”
She goes quiet for a moment, thinking something over before deciding on it, she addresses the other Na’vi, “Ka’nat, let me take the Sarentu. The poor child knows nothing of our ways”.
Ka’nat looks you over again, as if deciding whether or not you are a threat to the Aranahe clan. He makes up his mind, “Go. we will speak more when you are settled.”
Nefika, The kind older Na’vi who was speaking gently to you, beckons you over to the Hometree with a smile, while the Na’vi that were cautious, lower their guards with a smile and let you in.
“I really must speak more with Etuwa’s father. About the Resistance.” you rush to get the words out, already feeling restless, like you should be doing something more about the situation at hand.
“Later, ma’yawntu. He is our olo’eyktan, our clan’s leader. Let us clean up a bit first. You would frighten the hide off an Angtsik looking like that.” She speaks and laughs in a jovial manner. You like her nature a lot, her words making your body relax as you both walk through the Hometree. She continues, “Besides, I would not mention those Sky people if I were you. They are nothing but trouble, and Ka’nat does not like trouble.” You finally reach the main gathering area of the Hometree, making you look at it in awe, curiously looking over the intricate weaving done in the interior and the Na’vi gathered in the area.
You focus back to the conversation with Nefika as she addresses you while guiding you through, “Let me show you off a bit instead, hmm? Will you allow me that? It has been an age since we had a Sarentu around here. Your people certainly made life more interesting”. Her voice then lowers in wonder as she recalls an old tale, “One time, they told us a tale about the rare mating rituals of the giant Zakru. Apparently, it can take days!” her tone joking as she laughs which makes you laugh as well, the tales of your people are not only informative but hilarious as well.
As she leads you through the area many Na’vi stand up in wonder looking at you, You smile shyly and nod at them in acknowledgement, not used to the wonder and awe in anyone’s gazes. You also look over at the beautiful colors that fill their home, maybe one day you can fill your own home with it too. Maybe with Na’vi at the Resistance base. You stopped and shocked your head, ridding of the thoughts making sure they do not fill your brain, before continuing on with Nefika.
“There will be more time to listen to their tales later. Our great tree has many stories, lived many lives, hosted your ancestors as our guests before you. And there was not one Sarentu who could not resist how our dyes dance.” she laughs, beckoning you over to a younger female Na’vi, “Come, see my weavers.”
There she introduces you to Koranu, who showcases you the latest silk, though Nefika informs you that it was not strongest as it once was due to the Kinglor’s flowers being closed, but that it was still stronger than Zakeru wool even with the Zeswa clan loving to brag. It seems Koranu will be the Na’vi you go to for any weavings that need to be done.
Koranu felt relieved to have something to do other than the thing she was working on, it seemed that it was causing her a bit of stress. She was nice, you felt that she would provide the things you needed.
Nefika is delighted by the talks of the beauty of weaving, her tone appreciative, calling it a work of art. She leads you to a place that looks like the cooking area, she calls out to her friend Relun excitedly. They both seem to have a friendly banter with each other, with Nefika having her heart set on the ways of the silk and dye, while Relun says that the heart of Aranahe is taste. You giggle at their back and forth of teasing. You let Relun know that you’ll visit more to try his cooking, Relun seems happy about that.
Nefika takes you to meet one more Na’vi, who looks stern but her gaze kind, just hardened from the war perhaps, Kitangi. Nefika, talks about the grace that the Sarentu had possessed as they definitely knew how to dress. She wanted you to wear the weavings of the Aranahe, as they are strengthened with Sturmbeasts hide, that even if you are caught, she said jokingly that you would be hard to swallow.
Kitangi looks at you as if you were a baby that did not know anything, asking if you could even track and whatnot, not liking the answer you had given, asking if your ‘okay’ was enough for you. Nefika looks at Kitangi, bringing up a Na’vi’s name you do not know. “Eetu is on a hunt. I’m sure he will make a fine guide”.
Kitangi laughs at that, looking at you as if giving you a challenge, It makes you wanna prove yourself, “Indeed, if you can find him. There is a hunting camp near the water. Eetu will be there. But do not upset his hunt! He will not thank you for that”.
Nefika looks at you, her gaze gentle and teasing, shooing you on, “Go on, ma’yawntu. A respectful hunt will show Ka’nat you remember the ways of The People.” You nod at her and head back to the gathering area of the Hometree to get your thoughts in order. There was so much you learned by just meeting so many Na’vi, you can only hope to learn much more. Maybe this Eetu could be a great friend and teacher.
You decide to radio So’lek about the situation, feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything, knowing that his voice could soothe you, “So’lek, I made it to the Aranahe. You…weren’t wrong about them. But one of them took me in. Nefika. She thinks I can impress Ka’nat if I show him I can hunt properly”.
So’lek felt a bit annoyed that they were making you go on a hunt as the first thing, was it not enough that even though the Sarentu clan had been gone for so long, the fact that you have persevered through difficulties, especially being taken as a child by the RDA, to them ? He wished he was there to guide you. You could tell he was annoyed by the tone of his voice, “They sent you on a hunt? I should have shown you how myself”
“It’s okay. Nefika said one of their hunters might show me how. Eetu”. You replied quickly, not wanting him to feel bad. Although you would have loved to learn from So’lek itself, maybe making some friends might help you along the way on your journey.
Eetu. Eetu? The fearless, reckless and cocky hunter, Eetu, will be the one to teach you? So’lek was already annoyed, now hearing this tidbit of information just made him more frustrated. He really should have been the one to teach you how to hunt. A storm raged in his heart, a feeling he was not so quite used to ever. He felt jealous. Usually he would be able to calm down and think with a clear head, but it seems jealousy fueled his next words, “Hmm. Be careful Sarentu. You do not need to prove yourself to them. You are Sarentu, and Ka’nat should honor that. I have seen you as well Sarentu, you are nothing like those demons, you have a bleeding heart that cares and you are strong-willed. You do not need Eetu to teach you this. Do not ever think less of yourself. Come back to the HQ any time you like, all right? You are not alone. And there is much to do here”.
You think your heart might have stopped and suddenly start back out of nowhere hearing So’lek’s words. “Is this what he thought of me?”, you think to yourself, your body heating up at his tone, it sounded deep and tense. You don’t want to get ahead of yourself, but So’lek sounded jealous. He was jealous of this Eetu teaching you. You liked it.
“Irayo (Thanks) So’lek…I…I will remember that. I will come back to the HQ soon after the hunt, see you there”, you could not contain the shakiness in your voice, you wish you could see his face right now, what did he look like when he heard someone else teaching you. You cut the radio off and decide to find a corner within the Aranahe Hometree, where there were not too many Na’vi to cool down. Your body is too heated from the conversation. You sigh and wonder if this is a sign of some sort from Eywa. You pray to Eywa that maybe you could get through this and figure out what is going on inside your heart.
So’lek on the other end, felt heated for two reasons, his tail for the first time after so long started twitching fast, feeling agitated by what he heard. He had been out of the base, just scouting nearby the area.
One, how could Eetu be the one to teach you? He should have just told you to come back to the base and that he would have taught you himself, after all he has seen you fight. He has seen you.
Two, you voice at the end. It sounded shaky, but it felt like it was filled with something. Longing. He leans forward and rests his head against the tree and lets out a shuddering breath. Eywa was testing him. How could the great mother not, when the only thing he could ever think nowadays was of you, your curious mind and your loveable heart.
The only thing he can do for now, while waiting for you to come back to the base, is go over plans with Alma and finish off some of the RDA. He will decide what to do with you later.
You decide to leave around time the sun starts to set, wanting to grab some of the flora that are pristine during the night to collect as your resources. You have decided to block your mind of So’lek for now. Otherwise, he would be the only occupant of your mind and you had to focus for now.
As you travel through the woods, it seems many of the Aranahe are spread out, living in groups. You reach the hunting camp at last, looking around you can hear an Ikran roar, your feet decide to head towards the sound, using your Na’vi senses, you can sense an Ikran and her rider, with a successful hunt, nearby . You wonder if the rider could be Eetu. You wander over to them, your eyes gazing at the Ikran up close. Even though you saw Etuwa’s, you did not get enough time to study her Ikran during the fight with the RDA.
The Na’vi, who could be Eetu, twitches his ears as he hears you come closer and stands up to greet you. You could not see it, but Eetu definitely felt shocked to see a Sarentu, having heard his family talk about the clan and their distinctive mark. He decides to hear you out. Not expecting the next words to come out of your mouth.
“Your Ikran is beautiful”, You are in awe of the rider’s ikran, she truly was beautiful. Eetu felt happy and proud hearing such words, as his Ikan is a part of him, just as he is a part of her, he decides he can boast a bit, “My Zomey. For her, no wind is too strong, no challenge too great. We hunt with heart, in harmony”. He smirks as he bows a bit, as his voice turns flirty and cocky as he continues, “Are you here to admire us? I would not fault you for that”.
You blush at that, more so surprised at his boldness than feeling shy. Not so used to anyone being this forward with you, you just laugh nervously and decide to let the Na’vi know that you are searching for someone, “No, I…I-I’m looking for Eetu.”
Eetu’s eyes brighten even more if possible as he grins, “My name has reached other clans! Even lost ones” his gaze on you mark as he utters the last line. Eetu’s voice turns teasing, chuckling as he rolls his eyes and asks, “Let me guess, Nefika sent you to me? She wants me to teach. Boring, I say! To be safe at Hometree telling the little ones of hunts, of adventure?” his voice turns slightly serious as he continues, “They would not understand. What does danger mean to those who have only known safety? Zomey and I tear through the skies together, our hearts pounding. Our senses on fire. That rush makes us strong. Fearless! The best hunters”.
You are moved by Eetu’s words, to have such a bond with someone must be the greatest thing on Pandora. You could only imagine what it must feel like. Though he sounds reckless, you could tell his heart was in the right place. He would definitely make a great friend. “Nefika did say you were hunting sturmbeast. Can I join?” You ask him, hoping he would say yes.
Eetu hums, “Is that what you are after? Are you a good hunter?”, his eyes roam over you, judging whether you are a good hunter or not. His own senses tell him what he needs to know. You had the strength and heart, just not the technique.
You falter, hearing Eetu ask. Feeling a bit ashamed at never learning how, you then remember something, “Do not ever think less of yourself”. So’lek’s words give you the strength you need. You straighten up and reply, “I was never taught how, but I’m willing to learn no matter what”.
Eetu looks at you in disbelief, what do you mean you were never taught how? “Never taught how? What have your people been doing all these years? Did you find a land without hunting? A place where creatures lay down to die willingly?”, his words may seem rude, but you could tell he was just teasing you, you roll your eyes and smile, you could already tell he will be a fun and troublesome friend. His demeanor turns serious and gentle as he points to what seems like some sort of practice area, “See there? Young hunters practice on targets first. Practice. Or it will be the sturmbeast hunting you!”
Eetu gives you a bow, however this bow seems different compared to the bow that So’lek had given you. He tells you that it is a Heavy bow, meant to aim for far targets and their weak spots. You position yourself as you lift the bow and aim at the target, your body tense as you focus only on the target. Eetu sees you tensing and comes close, using his hands to place your hands where they need to be, he was quite close while doing so. Once he finds your stance satisfactory, he steps back. You let the arrow fly, your aim hitting true.
Eetu hums and jokingly says, “You can hit a static target at least. Come”, He takes you back to where you were before. “Not bad. At least your thanks will have meaning” he praises you, sensing the potential within you.
You are confused. What did he mean by that? You gaze at him in question, “My thanks?”.
Eetu chuckles thinking you are joking, but then he sees that you really are confused, his voice cannot hide the disbelief as he questions you, “Are you serious? What have your people been doing? What kind of life have you lived?”
“A terrible one”, you reply in your thoughts, while you reply something else to him, “It’s…a long story”.
“If I wanted to hear a long story I would be at home”. Eetu looks at you, making sure that you listen to his advice carefully, “Each time you hunt, you must take a life. And so you must thank your sister or brother for their gifts as they return to the Great Mother.” He decides to demonstrate how to do it, his body bending down at his hunt, moving a hand over it, while saying the words, “I See you. Your spirit goes to Eywa and your body stays to become part of the people. Thank you for these gifts”
Eetu gets up and looks at you, his gaze and words trying to convey how important this was, “This way, you let her ascend to the ancestors. Remember that. And do not waste the gifts you receive”.
You try to imprint the words bestowed by Eetu in your mind. If you want to be a true Na’vi, this is the way. But you were confused what gifts meant. “The gifts. Right.” You try to say it convincingly. Eetu just shakes his head at you exasperatedly, “The hide, the meat. Ah! Nefika will show you. Go on. You do not need me to hold your hand.” Eetu shoos you away.
You grin and decide to head out, feeling like heading back to the base first to meet a certain Na’vi then testing out your skills to hunt. “Thanks Eetu, you are a good teacher I suppose, but time will tell” you joke a bit with him. Eetu laughs, “and you might make a good friend and student, Eylanay (acquaintance)”
You nod at him as you turn to leave, your pace turning quick at the thought of heading back to the base. It wasn’t because of him, you were probably just tired. Well whatever it was you could deal with it when the time comes.
You hope to make lots of friends as time goes on.

~The Unspoken Vow~
-Kalki x FemOc-
Introduction:
-----------------------------------------
It was a regular day, people doing their labour, bounty hunters running here and there to catch the victims. It was a usual sight for the people in Kashi. They say it was the first city in the world to appear, and was famous for its beautiful temples, now even if you try to even hear the name of god, you won't be able to.
The city was bustling with sellers shouting, some were selling things that were supplied from the complex, some were selling human slaves.
Between the crowd a girl was sneaking secretly, so nobody could detect her. She secretly went to one of the stalls and sneakily stole one banana, and a fresh bottle of water. When she tried to sneak away she heard “Hey the total is 5000 units, pay and then take it!” she immediately stopped and turned around to see a bulky man, with a long beard and a pot belly, he is scary. She gulped and started running for her life.
It was not her first time stealing, hell she even stole from the complex, but always had that nervous feeling while doing that, she didn't want to get caught, she knew what happened to those who were caught, she didn't want that fate.
While running she entered an alleyway, bumping into people didn't stop her, she still ran. What she didn't see was that a tall man, and bumped into his chest. She was waiting for fall but didn't feel the impact, but she felt an arm wrapping around her waist. She opened her eyes to see two beautiful brown orbs, the most beautiful browns to ever come in contact with.
Her trance broke when she heard a shout, that pot belly was still behind her. She was about to run, when that man stopped her still looking at her. “Leave me..!” she wishper shouted. That man put hand on his chest and said “Hayee..” and as if he was about to faint. She looked at him weirded out.
“HEY YOU THIEF!” she heard a loud shout only to see the man, he was looking dangerous, she again gulped, she hadn't even eaten the food she stole from the stall. She is not ready to die. She was trying to get the grip of the man she bumped into.
“you had the audacity to run away with things that are way more valuable than your life!" The stall owner shouted. “I...I..” she stuttered, “Cat got you tongue huh!” he started coming closer to her. But was stopped by the man she bumped into, “Leave her she is with me.,” “I don't care, she stole things that are valuable for me, if she doesn't have the money..” the man took a look at her. “She has a really pretty face, she can work as a slave to pay off to the debt.” he completed smirking disgustingly.
By the time he completed the sentence, he was punched in the face by the mysterious man, and was held by the collar, the man gulped and said “listen I will pay 5000 units for her, you take the units I take the girl?” he said nervously and smiled.
The man again looked at the girl, who..who enchanted his heart, Nope he is not letting her go. Without looking at the man he punched him in the head, only to make him unconscious.
The girl wide eyed was surprised, the mysterious man slowly walked towards her, smiling like an idiot. “I let go of 5000 units for you, remember you are going to pay me the double amount of that..” he said bending a little, because she was short according to him.
She was still weirded out by the stranger, leaned away, he put a strand of her hair behind her ear, that was disturbing him to take a look at her features, “I am Bhairava..” whispered his name,
“Priya... Supriya..” she answered back.
So umm this was the introduction, I really don't know if people are going to read it, if it doesn't reach the audience, it's ok, I will post it on Wattpad.
If anybody likes it let me know if they want another chapter. And also it my first time on Tumblr so I am new to these things.

Total Drama Island 2023 Headcanons (Pool Day)
Priya is wearing a one-piece that is optimized for swimming the fastest, and a swim cap for speed. She practices swimming laps, then takes a break to beg Millie to get in the pool and play Marco Polo with her (they’re the only two playing).
Millie wears a simple one piece suit with one of those swimwear cover up robes on top. She doesn’t actively get into the pool, she just sits on the side of the pool and dips her feet in. Her main activity is just talking to Priya and reminding people to not run or splash in the pool too much. She will complain if you get her wet.
Ripper wears a pair of ratty cargo shorts. He doesn’t know how to swim very well, but will not admit it. He walks around with his chest puffed out like he is the hottest thing to ever grace the Earth, but anytime any man (especially Chase) happens to glance at him, he flips out.
Damien wears a simple pair of swim shorts and forgoes his usual hat, though he complains frequently that he feels almost naked without it. He swims with Wayne for a bit, chats with Nichelle, and even briefly joins Priya’s game of Marco Polo. He honestly is just there to have a good time, though he becomes increasingly frustrated by Chase and Ripper trying to get him to referee their swimming matches.
Axel is the self-appointed lifeguard and patrols the pool in a wetsuit with a life preserver under her arm half the time. If someone falls in or seems to be in trouble she is immediately there to help, though her response time and gentleness is highly dependent on if she likes you or not. If Nichelle starts drowning she’s there in a split second, hefting her out of the water and treating her like a princess. If Ripper starts drowning she leisurely swims over, picks him up by the scruff of his neck, and tosses him onto dry land.
Chase wears a basic, solid colored pair of swim trunks and some douchey designer sunglasses. He walks out of the changing room/shower room thinking he’ll be the hottest shit there, and is quickly shown up by Wayne, Bowie, Raj, and Caleb just minding their own business. He spends his time eyeing up Emma, trying to show off, and yelling at Ripper that it’s gay to look at him.
Zee wears the same outfit they always wear, just without the hat and with a different prosthetic leg. Their swim leg is exactly the same as their main one, just covered in pink hibiscus flower decals to make it swimming themed. They spend most of their time at the pool hanging out with Emma chatting and back floating around lazily. At the end of the day they just air dry by lounging on a pool chair, instead of changing into new clothes or using a towel.
Scary Girl wears a simple black bikini, but adds to it by covering herself in large chains and a small anchor that hangs by her feet. People can’t tell if the chains are real or fake, until Ripper starts drowning and she uses the chains and anchor to pull him onto dry land. Ripper avoids swimming in the deep end after that, as he doesn’t want any more bruises on him from the anchor.
Caleb wears a speedo, not to show off but because it’s better for swimming. Julia eyes him up the entire time, but he completely ignores her. Man just wants to swim laps in peace.
Nichelle wears a cute, understated bikini. She doesn’t know how to swim because her handlers haven’t let her learn. Bowie tries to teach her, and when she starts to freak out a little bit, Axel is immediately in the pool to save her. She fakes little freak outs a few more times just to get Axel to come and save her.
Julia wears an extremely expensive, flashy bikini that shows practically everything. She actively looks for attention by bending over in front of as many men as possible and takes an obscene amount of selfies. Chase and Ripper are the only two that pay her any attention. She slathers on sunscreen, not because she’s scared of cancer, but because she’s scared of aging. She also refuses to get her hair wet - chlorine will ruin her bleach job.
Bowie wears super cute short shorts and a crop top. He spends his time wading in the shallow end with Raj, gossiping by the side of the pool with Emma, and teaching Nichelle how to swim. He also tries to avoid getting his hair wet, he did pay a lot to get it done after all.
Wayne simply wears a pair of cargo shorts and his usual hat. He spends most of his time at the pool running around with Raj, doing cannonballs and racing with anyone he can. Occasionally he goes off to get himself a drink while Raj and Bowie talk, but after a while he always ends up back at Raj’s side waiting for his buddy to be ready to hang out with him again.
Raj splits his time as evenly as he can between hanging out with his boyfriend, and hanging out with his best friend. When with Bowie he mainly chats, flirts, shares fruity drinks, and idly cheers Bowie on as Bowie swims. When it’s his time to hang out with Wayne though, he becomes a poolside nightmare. He and Wayne practice diving, start splash fights, and play mermaids for ages- occasionally roping Priya, Zee, and Nichelle into their games. By the end of the day Raj is completely drained but happy, and spends a while in a pool chair with Bowie just relaxing.
Emma wears a modest two piece, similar to the style that Taylor Swift wears. She usually goes for a one-piece, but feels the need to show that she’s hot without Chase too. However, she doesn’t like to push herself too far out of her comfort zone. Bowie hypes her up, and Chase tries to chime in but just objectifies her. Zee compliments her bathing suit, and she compliments their swimming leg, and Emma plays up their flirting a little bit to show off in front of Chase.
MK wears swim shorts and a swim top. They’re mismatched - she just swiped the easiest ones to steal from Urban Outfitters. She wears a scuba mask and swims around near the bottom of the pool looking for things that others have dropped, and she ends up seeing a little bit too much of Julia in the process. She’s able to swipe some things from Zee because they’re just wearing their normal clothes, including everything they normally carry with them (soda, a lighter, a pipe, some loose change, a rubber duck, and a concert ticket from 1983).

Well, Season 2 of TDI Reloaded (TDI Rematch) has had its first four episodes out for about a week. I figured I’d share my thoughts about what we’ve gotten so far:
-The challenges are a little more fun than in Season 1. They have a good amount of variety and the often led to really fun moments between the characters. From the Skunks clogging the toilet slide, to basically all the Rat Faces being carried by Caleb, and of course the AB questions challenge. My girlfriend and I straight up paused the episode each question to try and guess the answers. (We got over half of them right.) As for my personal ranks on the challenges:
-Taking it to the Rim Reaper (Ep. 2): Memorable concept, without going too overboard with it. Also, I’m a bit of a simpleton sucker for the pratfalls.
-Choosin’ for a Bruisin’ (Ep. 4): Great challenge for both character insights and just playing along with it during a first-time viewing.
-You Poor Saps (Ep. 3): I technically prefer Ep.1’s challenge, but this one led to so many gold character moments.
-The Pink Painter Strikes Again (Ep.1): Solid start. Simple challenge, nothing too crazy.
-Animation is pretty much on the same level as Season 1. The facial expressions are GOLD! I’d argue some parts feel more dynamic than Season 1, like the slide moments in Episode 2, but overall, no complaints.
-The characters feel like they never left:
-Priya: I kinda get why she’d fall hard for Caleb, as keep in mind, she’s been stuck with this training with hardly any friends. This also explaining why she instantly jumped to befriending Millie when it seemed they got along. It’s clear that she does value the friendship as she was the only one to give Millie a chance after Episode 2. She also did work as an effective leader in the same episode, instantly taking advantage of the challenge’s slide order rule. Overall, I’m okay with Priya.
-Bowie: I dig his plot. Bowie made it clear at the end of Season 1 that he’s willing to bend the rules…and it’s clear that he probably cares about Raj more. Since people are more weary of him after the finale, it makes sense to have his conflict be more about whether he’d play dirty again. Also, this joker in Episode 4! As a captain (assuming those roles are official) I feel Priya’s more effective, though.
Millie: It’s clear she had alot more learning to do about being a good friend. (I still say both her and Damien could have taken the two-point slide together if they were both weary on the third.) Though her elimination was pretty anticlimactic, unfortunately. I do prefer her in Season 1, but I’m not against the plot they gave her.
Julia & MK: I’m putting them both together because they’re basically a package deal this time around. Overall, live their dynamic. It was a sudden jump from animosity to friendship, but that’s just because they know game when they see it. They have so much fun just being underhanded together, and it’s honestly a refreshing take on villain alliances. While I’d say MK is the breakout of the two, since she’s the brains of the whole alliance, Julia’s dialogue is so on point that it hurts. My hopes is that MK does succeed in backstabbing Julia, but she doesn’t even get mad. She just respects a player and roots for her to win…underhandedly, of course.
Emma: Compared to Millie…honestly not that mixed. I’m glad she cut the chord with Chase early and she got him booted in a clever way. The one thing that’s kinda backwards is how she ends up being a poor judge of character in Episode 4 when she basically red Chase like a book in Episode 2. But then again, I guess that’s just chalked down to being used to his sorry butt the most?
Chase: Everybody (including me) called that he’d be an early boot…and he was. I’m perfectly content with that, as it’s clear that character development was never the end-goal with Chase. And the moment he left, the Skunk Butts became the de facto best team. Props on his ballsy attempt to outrun the balloons in challenge 1, though.
Zee: All I wanted from Zee in Season 2 is for him to still be Zee…Good news, Zee is still Zee. I honestly got worried the “soda influencer” plot would be a cheap and easy way to make him an early boot…and they make him Papa Zee instead. I love this lanky boy.
Ripper: My one complaint on Ripper is that he feels like he’s really not there that much. In Episode 2, he disappears for a good while until the mid-end. And he doesn’t really get to interact with his new team that much. The only real time he interacts with the other skunks is when he asks about how to approach Axel. Let’s talk about Ripaxel…I honestly really wanna see what they do with it! It is a little sudden how it starts, but in its defense, so was Rajbow. Their interactions in Episode 3 were fun to watch, and that POEM. Hey, fanfic writers…Raj and Ripper having a poetry battle…think about it. Despite him disappearing sometimes, what we do get from him is enjoyable. Here’s to more!
Wayne and Raj: My boys are untouched! The one blessing is that they NEVER went for some stupid jealousy plot! (Wayne cares too much for Raj for petty stuff like that.) And they are arguably goofier than in Season 1. (Shoutouts to them wanting burgers after seeing the slides and the “Cyclone-Spin Cycle”) It is funny how many people (again, including me) wanted to see their mischievous side more, but instead the boys are even bigger boy scouts with their understandable disgust at cheating. While I still think one leaving earlier is more likely, I really, REALLY hope that they stick for a little. Imagine them against Julia and MK for at least an episode or two! And while I still would love a Damien VS. MK finale, Wayne or Raj VS. MK works great! Fair and honest player against a crafty cheater. It would be gold!
Damien: I’m really holding out for him since he’s pretty much jogging in place a bit. Sure, he wants to take more risks, but it’s not to a great extent. Then again, the season’s only gotten started. I just hope his crafty side comes out more later. He’s not too afraid anymore, so now he needs to push his brains to the forefront.
Scary Girl: I dig the “Lauren” design. Unfortunately, the “normal” bit wasn’t really used all that much, as she barely had a presence in Episode 1. She had some small scenes, but nothing outstanding until she got herself eliminated. Though given how she was enjoyable, but pretty one-note last season, I feel she works well as a first-boot. Will she return to stalk everyone? Who knows. Probably.
Nichelle: I dig her more confident attitude. Part of me wishes we saw her gaining that confidence DURING the season, rather than all that development being off-screen, though. It makes sense for her to train beforehand, but I would have just as easily liked her having a bit of fire in her and then training throughout the season. As she is, I like how she’s so done with her old Hollywood life. Hopefully she does interact with Damien more, as they seem to have a friendship growing.
Axel: Besides MK, Axel was the biggest relief of the S1 pre-mergers. She’s still hostile and hardcore, but I find her showings of care towards the team being well-needed additions. Examples being her helping Damien back to camp after the four-point slide, and her warning her team to be cautious about getting stuck with the sap. I already said my piece on Ripaxel, so my personal hope is that there is a survival or stealth challenge where the two have to work together. (Ala Hide and Be Sneaky, Eat, Puke, and be Wary, or Hurl and Go Seek if you wanna count the “zombie” thing.)
Caleb: Caleb was simple, and he still kinda is. I like how paranoid he was in Episode 1, but overall he’s just a more effective Justin. I do prefer him over Justin, as he can be a massive asset to the team, as shown in Episode 3. Like Zee, I’m fine with him as is, and can only wait and see what he does in later episodes. Will his alliance become genuine romance or just a tool for Caleb to outlast Priya? Probably the ladder, as he doesn’t seem to show any romantic interest in her that feels genuine.
And that’s Total Drama Island Rematch so far. Tomorrow should be the debuts of Episodes 5 and 6, so here’s to a great season. I was honestly shocked at how much I loved this cast, and how refreshing it felt seeing the show after a seven (eight if you ignore Ridonculous) year hiatus. I will be making sure to watch the series again when it comes to MAX in seventy years. As for whether or not I wanna see the Gen 4 cast again…I’ll probably be content with them stopping their run after Season 2. Reloaded and Rematch work as just two halves of a nice little package, and I really don’t want them to risk having this lovable cast go through what Gen 1 did. If we do get a new season, I’d be fine with them having a new cast. Fans will probably like them as much as they do with Gen 4.

S2 Unseen Bits Week 1: YOGA
I really enjoyed the S4 game yoga scene and a few seasons UK/AU TV show have done a yoga class.
Narrator Iain Stirling (Voice Over): It's a very stressful life being an Islander... sunbathing all day and partying all night. So what better way to relieve some stress than...
TEXT ALERT!
Girls in the dressing room getting ready and the boys are in the bathroom. "Argh! I've got a text!" Marisol cries out as she tries to locate her phone.
"Islanders, It's time to engage your mula bandha and align your chakras as you relax into some couples yoga. #strikeapose #bendoverbackwards"
ALL: Wooo! Yeah! (Cheering)
"Yoga, yoga, yoga!" The girls do some arm poses and laugh.
Priya: You've done this before? Yoga, I mean.
Am I familiar with yoga? "I've been to a few classes."
The girls are shown running out to the kitchen from the bedroom cheering. "Whoo!" "Whoo-hoo!"
"Yoga, Yoga, yoga!" Priya chants
(BH) Beach Hut Grace (MC): "I love yoga. Just makes you feel calm. I like doing all the little positions they do. The downward dog ones. Oh, god that sounds terrible." "(She giggles).
Iain Stirling: A relaxing couples yoga session? Because who doesn't love a bit of downward dog in the morning?
When you step out into the sunlight, there are yoga mats laid out all over the place. Everyone is standing around chatting waiting for couples yoga to start. Grace said, "Oh, I like the mats."
Iain Stirling: Rocco accidentally volunteered to be the teacher. He thought we asked who was into yoghurt, and he stuck his hand up.
Rocco said to the group: "You're in for a good time, let me tell you."
Grace asked, "You're a yogi?"
He replied, "Uh, not exactly. But don't worry, it's all safe and easy stuff. With the added bonus of having some saucy positions, of course. To your places, everyone! Chop chop." Rocco claps his hands a few times. "Alright guys! Are we ready?"
Marisol smiled brightly. "Absolutely!"
Hope chimed in, "I can't wait for us all to work off some tension. I'm sure we could all use it after last night."
With his hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointing upwards, thumbs close to the chest, Rocco said with a slight bow, "Namaste!"
They all place hands together at the heart, close their eyes and bow. All: "Namaste!"
Iain Stirling: Rocco asked me if I wanted to take part. I said, "Nah-I'm-a-stay-in if that's alright with you."
"Our first position today is called Triple Hill." Rocco shows the card with a man and a woman doing the position. "Now, this is your position. Face each other on the mat. Slowly bend down facing each other. Now take a few steps backwards to make sure your forehead touches with that of your partner's. Now, stretch your hands and rest it on your partner's back to feel the pull."
ALL: Chattering.
Rocco walks around. "Come on we got to get a little bit closer than that. Bum's further out." Lottie laughs. Bobby smirks. "Release your arms after being in that posture for five to seven breaths."
BH Bobby: Raises hands over head. "All you're doing is stretching and doing these moves, like, what's that all about? They are all weird names anyways."
The next card. "Double downward-facing dog."
ALL: "Aw!" "Whoo!"
"What?" Gary commented, looking surprised. And Bobby shook his head as he said, "I ain't got anything in my locker."
BH Rocco: "Yoga definitely broke the ice. It allowed people to get to know each other and probably the boys to get a little closer to some of the girls."
Everyone follows Rocco's lead. "Bend down and touch your toes. Move your hands and feet in opposite directions to create space. Maintain straight toes and grounded feet. Lift your pelvis into an upside-down "V" shape. After learning this pose, have your partner execute it on top of you with their feet on your lower back. The upper person lifts and presses the bottom person's hips."
Rocco and Grace were stretching, bending, and flexing with such ease.
"Oh, the blood's going to my head," said Priya.
Gary yells out, "Ow!" The Islanders laugh.
BH Lottie: "I dated a guy who was a yoga teacher once. Never stopped going on about it. Feels like he cared about it more than me. We argued once because I wasn't bendy enough to pull off The Heron. I'm never doing that again. I've got a rule now. Now more Yogis."
Hope says, "You know I'm pretty sure I've done this one before?"
Bobby teased. "Bet you have!
Hope rolls her eyes. "Not that. Downward Dog or whatever it's called."
The next card is Lord of the Dance Pose. "Both stand in Mountain Pose facing each other. Place your right arm on your partner's right shoulder. Bend your left knee and bring your left heel back. Reach back and grip your ankle. Press your right thigh back and up together. Push your foot away. Close your chests. Hold 5–10 breaths."
Hope says happily, "Oh, I like this one."
Rocco instructed the group: "Yeah, get bendy. Get bendy."
"Ah!" (LAUGHS) "Ooh!" (LAUGHS)
Noah looked impressed with how well he and Hope were doing. "Look at that."
Rocco said next, "Eye connection."
Hope smiled back, "Oh, yeah."
Rocco complimented Noah and Hope: "Look at that connection."
BH Hope: "I felt a bit like a ballerina that I've never been."
Rocco flipped the card. Stacked Child pose was next. The group starts chattering: "Whoa!" "So who's on the bottom?" "What?"
Lottie looks at her partner and asks, "Can you put your ass down a little bit more, please, Bobby?"
Bobby cries out, "Don't just jump on me." Everyone laughed.
BH Lottie: "Bobby is definitely not flexible."
Rocco gave the group more instructions: "Place your shins on either side of your partner's back while they're in child's pose. Once stable, relax with your head between their shoulder blades."
Marisol tries to get on Gary and fails. "Is that your willy?"
Gary groaned. "Yeah, that hurt"
ALL: "Ooh."
BH Priya: "Doing yoga is definitely a good chance to get closer to Ibrahim. I'm sure we did positions that we never thought of doing." (She giggled).
The next card is Acro Yoga Partner Pose (Front Plank Pose). "One partner lies on their back with their legs and arms straight up. The other will clasp hands and place the person on the ground's feet on the standing person's hips. The upright partner leans forward slowly until the lying partner can balance on their legs."
The Islanders were very vocal: Grunts. Screams. Squeals. Laughs.
Priya complimented her partner, "You're really good." Ibrahim smiled at her as he said, "You're really concentrating."
BH Marisol: "I don't think Gary has ever done yoga before. A yoga class is meant to be quiet and relaxing. Me and Gary were the absolute opposite."
Plank on plank pose card was next. The Islanders were very vocal again: "Get bending." "Oh, yeah." "Oh!"
Marisol looks over at Hope and Noah and states, "That was really good. Oh, my God!"
Lottie says in an exasperated tone, "Of course Noah is good at this. He is balancing Hope perfectly." Lottie turns to Bobby and says, "Why couldn't you be more like Noah."
BH Bobby: "I had a fantastic view in yoga. (LAUGHS) Yeah I was loving yoga."
"Next pose here is called, 'Let's Pray to Keep It Up'. The Partner High Lunge involves lifting your back heel off the ground. Start in a high lunge with your backs to each other and your back feet in line with each other's back knees. Face away from each other. Reach for your partner's hands while maintaining a gentle backbend position and extending the arms upward to the sky."
Hope said, "Oh, my God we are geniuses. We are amazing yoga people. OK."
“This hurts my groyne,” Bobby says with a laugh and sighs.
"Fuck!" Gary's body shifts as he comes dangerously close to losing his sense of balance.
Bobby wobbles while exclaiming, "Why is this so difficult?" Before losing his balance and crashing to the ground.
"I call this one The Egyptian Pyramid." (Partner Double Boat Pose). "Sit facing your partner, knees bent, feet flat on the mat, and toes touching. Grab hands. Lean back and elevate your right foot (partner's left foot) to a 90-degree angle. Join soles. After stabilising, press your second feet together. Your soles will make contact when you hold hands with all four legs above the ground. Boat stance with your partner, belly button engaged."
Hope cried out, "This isn't gonna work. You're too tall."
Priya giggled and asked, "Do you like the view?" and Ibrahim replied, "Oh, yeah."
"My right hamstrings' cramped! Ow!" Lottie moans. "Oh, my God I can't do it, I can't do it!
"I don't usually touch feet with someone so early." says Marisol to her partner, and Gary responds, "It's a weird one, isn't it?" She noda her head in agreement.
BH Priya and Ibrahim: He says, "I think we had a good yoga relationship. I could see us doing couples yoga." Priya's eyes go wide in surprise as looks at the camera, shaking her head sideways.
Rocco instructs them next, "Now spread your legs out, this is the Spread Eagle."
"I'm not so good at this..." Bobby moaned to which Rocco said, "Mate, yoga is universal."
Bobby replied, "No I mean, I literally can't spread my legs that wide. I don't think I'm cut out for this. I'm not much of an eagle. My wings don't spread wide enough. I guess I'm more like a Blue Tit, or something."
Rocco shook his head, "Mate! Don't be so harsh on yourself. You're so much more than just a tit. That didn't come out how I wanted it to. You know what I mean!"
Bobby laughs light-heartedly. "Maybe I want to be a tit?"
The other's burst out laughing. Gary groans and says, "Oh great, I think I pulled a muscle." Rocco just said it sounds to me like you need more regular classes.
Hope smiled. "Don't worry Gary, we'll get you limbered up in no time." Gary rolled his eyes and grumbled, "I can't wait."
"OK, OK. Enough chatter, you lot. We're going to do the wind-down sesh now. This is the most important part." Everyone finds their way back to their own mat. Rocco takes the lead on more chilled, relaxing sequences of moves. It's quiet in the garden, except for the sounds of everyone breathing. The exercise sequences continue in silence for a little while longer, before winding down to a close. "Then we're going into my personal favourite, the Morning Glory. Alright. Now I want you all to hold this position. And while you do, let your troubles and worries blow away. Close your eyes, and try to visualise your happiness."
Priya said happily, "Ooh, this is so nice. My happiness looks like... a blooming lotus flower."
Marisol frowned and said, "All I can see is darkness. I guess that's my type." Hope agreed with her and said, "Yeah, nah, I'm not seeing anything either."
All are sitting on mats, criss-crossed legs. Rocco says, "Namaste!"and bows.
ALL: "Namaste!" and bow.

WHY IS THE COLORING DIFFERENT ON THE BEARS THEYRE REDDER WHAT
i love the bears having a funeral. This is the real reason people watch total drama. For the bears
I feel like they’re gonna find out zee is in both alliances. It’s a setup to send him home I think :(( I hope I’m wrong I hope chase gets booted
“I forgot why I came in here” zee is so real guys
Emma has every right to be mad but girl I think chase is for once not being a jerk and there might actually be something
yeah that checks out
Julia they literally screamed “WATERFALL” how did you not notice
“I THINK THE STREAMS BROKEN DOWN” zee my beloved
Millie why would you say that. Of course it is
“Why are you like this?” Chef having grown as a person but still doing the show because he needs a paycheck and his husband really likes doing the show. But also he questions his husband
WHY DOES CHASE HAVE SUCH INTRICATE HIGHLIGHTS guys as much as a hate on chase… I think he really does like Emma
I love how chef really visibly cares about the kids. He’s really a good guy now. He’s grown.
This episode is either building up to zee leaving at the end or. it’s all a trick
“I know I had a reason for coming in here…”
Oh my god chase just broke the confessional
“Chase! Dude! You gotta knock bro!” I can see zee has his priorities straight
It’s called honey mountain. Honestly I should have seen that coming
The only scenario I will like seeing chase get immunity is that while he flies toward the mountain he hits his head really hard on the bell and therefore wins. But also getting a concussion
yk what that’s good too he gets bee stings
BOWIE JUST GO JUST RING IT
“You look like you can’t afford to pay anyone back.” DAMN
what are you doing with your leg I don’t think it’s supposed to bend that way
Oh no zee is about to be found out 😬 sorry pooks
“I didn’t know who to help… but then I remembered. Zee! You have TWO HANDS!”
Man Julia looks awful. Feel kind of bad for her
QUIT STALLING BOWIE OMG
yo that comment about the bots is way too real :/
Hmmm where have I seen this kind of plot armor that Julia’s getting… oh right. Heather
The amount of julia abuse in this ep is unacceptable. #savejulia
why are there seals in Ontario
hey um why was there a closeup on emma and Priya’s asses
Even though I really dislike dramarama, I think it’s sweet how a lot of the chef characterization has transferred over.
zee isn’t really that smart. But I love him anyway
Okay it was really dumb of him but it’s adorable how he’s just like ”guys we can all be friends now 😁😁!”
AWWW COME ON
I CALLED IT I KNEW IT WAS COMING
BUT IM STILL UPSET THAT ZEE IS GOING
I love how of the highlights for zee, he goes flying through an electrical storm (very exciting), drank disgusting cow liquid (funny), and having a brief relationship with a large bird. He doesn’t even mention anything else. That was the most interesting things that happened lmao.
The fourth wall jokes this season are actually pretty well done. The four fingers jokes and the “how did I get in here??”
Good episode overall. Just sad that zee left :/

Polite Society
Mix “Bend it like Beckham”, “Charlie’s Angels”, and “Shang-Chi” and you get Polite Society- I mean that in the best way. A story of female empowerment mixed in with a martial arts movie. Lena and Rita are sisters living under the same roof, but in different parts of their lives. Ria is a high schooler with dreams of becoming a successful stunt performer. She has a YouTube channel featuring recordings of her martial arts moves in which she often recites the line “I am the fury!” Her sister, Lena, however, is an art school drop out who spends her time sulking in her room believing she’s not good enough to be an artist. Things change when Lena meets Salim, a handsome geneticist, falls in love, and gets engaged - all within the span of a month. Rita doesn’t trust him and is intent on proving that he shouldn’t be trusted and the wedding shouldn’t happen. While that sounds like the premise of a typical rom-com, there’s a more maniacal aspect to the story that’s only heightened by the fun action sequences. This is a story of girl power told while exploring the relationship between two sisters.
The movie doesn’t take itself too seriously, which just makes it more fun and entertaining to the audience. Typical scenes such as a wedding ceremony or an argument that’s suddenly heightened by a choreographed martial arts fight scene. In no way are these fight scenes softened due to the young, female- led cast either. The scenes can be intense with people being thrown though walls, windows, and doors and drawing blood, which just adds to the humor when the characters go back to what they were doing as if nothing ever happened.
Another positive and scarcely seen aspect of the film is it diversity. The families of both the sisters and Salim are Pakistani, so the majority of the cast are just that. It’s always a pleasant surprise to see more brown than white in a cast these days. While the whole casts gives great performances, it’s the leads, Rita, played by Priya Kansara and Salim’s overbearing mother, played by Nimra Bucha, who carry the film. Priya’s quick whips when describing the reasons as to why Rita shouldn’t marry Salim as well as the hilarity of her persistence on stopping the wedding make her a fun protagonist for the audience. Nimra already has experience playing a villain from her role as Najma in the Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel. However, she’s able to play with the villainous role more-so in this role as the mother of the groom. I can still hear her maniacal laugh and see her Jafar-like sly grin in my head. Her scenes with Priya’s Rita are gold. They play off of each other well including in their action scenes.
The title of the film is a riff on the synopsis itself as women are expected to be quiet and polite. The film exemplifies the stereotypical roles that women are supposed to play in society especially in the Pakistani culture. A beginning scene features Rita and Priya’s mother being told by a group of other Pakistani women that Rita is skinny and beautiful despite being an art school dropout, as though her physical attributes make up for that. In a later scene, the mother talks about how much crap she was given for allowing Rita to even go to art school as women in that culture are meant to be married off. However, throughout the film, these expectations are challenged by the rebellious Priya who at one point states that she doesn’t get the fascination with men and marriage as “men ruin everything”. By the end, she has audiences believing that women are, in fact, the fury.

a small intro to tas' niche book muses:
princess malini from the burning kingdom series
youngest of three, a parijatdvipan princess who was commanded to burn on a pyre in a holy ritual by her brother, chandra, the current emperor
when she refuses she's imprisoned in a temple and fed small doses of poison with the hopes of killing her or weakening her resolve
she manipulates a maidservant tasked to watching over her, priya, to help her escape the temple
malini has been working to gather allies who wish to dethrone her brother and see her other brother, aditya, on the throne
when aditya choose priesthood over the crown, it is revealed that malini is meant to be empress as per a prophecy given by the mother's of the flame
malini leads an army to battle her brother chandra and eventually wins by lying to parijatdvipan priests and promising she would burn on the pyre for their nation if they help her to the throne
she's betrayed by her lover, priya, at the end of the book and is readying her nation for a war against re-awoken gods of nature called the yaksa
in general, malini is very head strong and stubborn but has a way of working steadily around politics. a well spoken politician and leader who can weave together pretty lies easily. she seeks out revenge against her brother and has a craving for power. she is a morally grey muse who will do whatever she needs to do to get what she wants including hurting the people she loves the most or manipulating their feelings in her favour. easily adaptable to any fantasy verse and modern verse follows the same sort of plot except she is working towards taking her brother's place over an influential family business
elder priya from the burning kingdom series
priya was born on a temple called the hirana and was raised among temple elders as a temple daughter
the people of her nation, ahiranyi, worshipped gods of nature called the yaksa and temple ends and children were gifted abilities of nature by the yaksa by travelling through waters called the deathless waters
priya had travelled through the waters once before the temple and its people had been set on fire as per the emperor's orders in a war against her nation
she escapes the burning with her temple brother, ashok, and when ashok falls ill she is left with her temple sister, bhumika, who had successfully hidden her past and married the nation's regent
she grows up a maidservant in bhumika's care and is tasked with watching malini
on the temple, priya hones her abilities and finds the deathless waters again
after helping the princess escape she travels through the waters two more times, reaching the height of her abilities as a temple elder
she rules alongside bhumika as an elder after their nation is affected by a battle and she works to rid their people and their nation of a nature-based disease called the rot
she joins malini's army when she is sent a letter calling her and almost dies multiple times on the battle field
she sacrifices her soul to the yaksa in order to live and is ordered to kill malini by the end of the book
in general priya is soft despite being taught very vicious methods, she does her best to help people but does have an edge to her tone. she's very blunt and not willing to bend to the whim of others but feels very strongly for any relation she does have. same as above, easily adaptable to fantasy verses and modern verse revolves around working for malini's family while trying to hide these newfound powers
noemi taboada from mexican gothic
set in 1950s mexico city
noemi is a socialite who is sent a nonsensical letter from her cousin who had recently married an english man
her father sends her to visit her cousin in fear that her husband's family was attempting to poison and kill her for her inheritance
high place is a house that is eerie and uncomfortable from the start, similar to houses seen in gallant or haunting of hill house
a whole wackload of weird doyle family history is revealed and it is found that the doyle family's head is essentially immortal due to a strange magical fungi embedded in the house. similar vibes to the movie ready or not
i have no real intention of writing noemi in her canon unless someone wishes to but she's super adaptable to all verses but primarily a modern / decades based verse
so in general, noemi is a final girl type figure who had escaped the clutches of a deranged family and their equally deranged rituals and beliefs. she is working on her master's degree and has no intention of going back to high place. noemi is strong willed and a staunch feminist who believes in letting women do anything a man can do, something her father had encouraged but had been looked down on by many others. she is naturally very flirty but does not commit well to anyone, very independent and self-sufficient
#i don't expect to write any of these ladies in their canon verses#but in case the sound of any of them strike any of y'alls fancy :eye:#brb girlbossing too close to the sun ( 𝐨𝐨𝐜. ) INTROS#theyre super adaptable to all sorts of verses so let's go besties#malini is the one i have the highest muse for rn and i can literally adapt her to anything

Polite Society Trailer: A Pakistani Female-Led Action Comedy?? Yes, Please!
While not initially on my radar at all, Polite Society is now one of my most anticipated movies of the year! The feature film debut of director Nida Manzoor debuted at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and looks to release wide later this year. But the Polite Society trailer is arguably the best thing I’ve seen so far this year. An action comedy about two Pakistani-British sisters kicking ass and taking names is absolutely a must-watch! Read on to find out why. The Polite Society Trailer Is The Best Thing Ever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRFM7HQmkH0 A story about a Pakistani young woman with aspirations of becoming a stuntwoman, the Polite Society trailer becomes so much more than that. The trailer establishes the heartwarming relationship between the two sisters played by Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy) and Priya Kansara (Bridgerton). Then introduces a wrench in the proceedings, in the form of a douchey man that the older sister (Arya) is seeing. Upset about it, the younger sister (Kansara) discovers some kind of evil about the man and his family. Vowing to save her sister, the young aspiring stuntwoman takes it upon herself to defeat this evil. With the help of her rag tag friends. It’s so ridiculously over the top that it looks like so much fun. The dynamic between the sisters feels genuine and so the stakes feel earned. While the Polite Society trailer doesn’t reveal a lot about the story,— like what is the threat or how are they evil— it gives us just enough to get us excited and anticipate the movie that much more. Pakistani Women Doing Martial Arts At A Wedding!? What’s unique about the Police Society trailer is just how many never-before concepts they are mashing up. Sure, action comedies aren’t new. But a Pakistani female-led action-comedy is kind of unheard of. It’s a movie that clearly revels in the homages to martial arts films, genre films and misadventures in teen comedies that it’s derived from. But having the leads be South Asian women who are defying every convention of being a woman in that culture, is another thing that makes this trailer incredible! Over the years we’ve gotten movies about South Asian women who aspire to be more while reconciling their Western ideals with their traditional upbringing. Bend It Like Beckham did it in 2002 with a young woman wanting to be an athlete. And more recently, Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel did the same, but in a more superhero setting. So seeing Polite Society’s women kicking ass and taking names is a new idea that is extremely exciting. Polite Society releases on April 28, 2023, in theatres. What did you think of the Police Society trailer? Are you excited to see these women defying gravity and kicking butt? Let me know in the comments below. Read the full article

She really is,,, she’s the only one that makes any sense when it comes to wiseprince
Their general interactions go a lot like:
Edmund: yapping about Severus
Priya: Be quiet, you'll ruin my appetite
Edmund: I think with the way you look it might do you some good
Priya: As if you'd know anything about having an appetite. I hope you choke on your fingers next time you're bending over the toilet
Ahhh, married life. And to think these two end up having two kids together lmaoooo

String Theorists Accidentally Find a New Formula for Pi
Two physicists have come across infinitely many novel equations for pi while trying to develop a unifying theory of the fundamental forces
Manon Bischoff
Round pi number and symbol on dark blue background. pi number, pi symbol and gradient scattered numbers.
The circle number pi has fascinated humanity for thousands of years—and always causes surprises.
Two physicists have come across infinitely many novel equations for pi while trying to develop a unifying theory of the fundamental forces
The number pi (π) appears in the most unlikely places. It can be found in circles, of course—as well as in pendulums, springs and river bends. This everyday number is linked to transcendental mysteries. It has inspired Shakespearean thought puzzles, baking challenges and even an original song. And pi keeps the surprises coming—most recently in January 2024, when physicists Arnab Priya Saha and Aninda Sinha of the Indian Institute of Science presented a completely new formula for calculating it, which they later published in Physical Review Letters.
Saha and Sinha are not mathematicians. They were not even looking for a novel pi equation. Rather, these two string theorists were working on a unifying theory of fundamental forces, one that could reconcile electromagnetism, gravity and the strong and weak nuclear forces. In string theory, the basic building blocks of the universe are not particles, such as electrons or photons, but rather tiny threads that vibrate like the strings of a guitar and in so doing cause all visible phenomena. In their work, Saha and Sinha have investigated how these strings could interact with each other—and accidentally discovered new formulas that are related to important mathematical quantities.
For millennia, mankind has been trying to determine the exact value of pi. This is not surprising, given the utility of calculating the circumference or area of a circle, which pi enables. Even ancient scholars developed geometric approaches to calculate this value. One famous example is Archimedes, who estimated pi with the help of polygons: by drawing an n-sided polygon inside and one outside a circle and calculating the perimeter of each, he was able to narrow down the value of pi.

A common method for determining pi geometrically involves drawing a bounding polygon inside and outside a circle and then comparing the two perimeters. Fredrik/Leszek Krupinski/Wikimedia Commons
Teachers often present this method in school. But even if you don’t remember it, you can probably imagine that the process is quite complex. Archimedes went so far as to compare the perimeters of polygons with 96 vertices to prove that pi is between 3.1408 and 3.1429. This approach is therefore not really practical for calculating pi exactly.
An Infinite Series To Determine Pi
In the 15th century experts found infinite series as a new way to express pi. By adding up their numbers one by one, pi’s value can be obtained. And the more summands you look at, the more accurate the result becomes.
For example, the Indian scholar Madhava, who lived from 1350 to 1425, found that pi equals 4 multiplied by a series that begins with 1 and then alternately subtracts or adds fractions in which 1 is placed over successively higher odd numbers (so 1/3, 1/5, and so on). One way to express this would be:
This formula makes it possible to determine pi as precisely as you like in a very simple way. You don’t have to be a master of mathematics to work out the equation. But you do need patience. It takes a long time to get accurate results. Even if you evaluate 100 summands, you will still be far off the mark.
As Saha and Sinha discovered more than 600 years later, Madhava’s formula is only a special case of a much more general equation for calculating pi. In their work, the string theorists discovered the following formula:
This formula produces an infinitely long sum. What is striking is that it depends on the factor λ , a freely selectable parameter. No matter what value λ has, the formula will always result in pi. And because there are infinitely many numbers that can correspond to λ, Saha and Sinha have found an infinite number of pi formulas.
If λ is infinitely large, the equation corresponds to Madhava’s formula. That is, because λ only ever appears in the denominator of fractions, the corresponding fractions for λ = ∞ become zero (because fractions with large denominators are very small). For λ = ∞, the equation of Saha and Sinha therefore takes the following form:
BeholdingEye/Getty Images
The first part of the equation is already similar to Madhava's formula: you sum fractions with odd denominators. The last part of the sum (–n)n – 1, however, is less familiar. The subscript n – 1 is the so-called Pochhammer symbol. In general, the expression (a)n corresponds to the product a x(a + 1) x (a + 2) x ... x (a + n – 1). For example, (5)3 = 5 x 6 x 7 = 210. And the Pochhammer symbol in the above formula therefore results in: (–n)n – 1 = (–n) x (–n + 1) x (–n + 2) x ... x (–n + n – 3) x (–n + n – 2).
A Few Steps To Madhava’s Formula
All of these elements look complicated at first, but they can be simplified quickly. First, subtract –1 from each factor. The sign in front of the huge product is therefore –1 if n is odd and +1 if n is even, so you get (–n)n – 1 = (–1)n x n x (n – 1) x (n – 2) x ... x (n – n + 3) x (n – n + 2). The last factors can be simplified further: (–n)n – 1 = (–1)n x n x (n – 1) x (n – 2) x ... x 3 x 2 x 1.
This elongated expression is actually (–n)n – 1 = (–1)nx n, resulting in the following:
This corresponds to Madhava’s formula. The equation found by Saha and Sinha therefore also contains the series discovered by Madhava.
As the two string theorists report, however, pi can be calculated much faster for smaller values of λ. While Madhava’s result requires 100 terms to get within 0.01 of pi, Saha and Sinha’s formula for λ = 3 only requires the first four summands. “While [Madhava’s] series takes 5 billion terms to converge to 10 decimal places, the new representation with λ between 10 [and] 100 takes 30 terms,” the authors write in their paper. Saha and Sinha did not find the most efficient method for calculating pi, though. Other series have been known for several decades that provide an astonishingly accurate value much more quickly. What is truly surprising in this case is that the physicists came up with a new pi formula when their paper aimed to describe the interaction of strings. They developed a method to indicate the probability with which two closed strings would interact with each other—something many string theorists have been seeking for decades without success.
When Saha and Sinha took a closer look at the resulting equations, they realized that they could express the number pi in this way, as well as the zeta function, which is the heart of the Riemann conjecture, one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in mathematics. Given the string theorists’ interests, their formulas for pi and the zeta function only adorn the very last paragraph of their paper. “Our motivation, of course, was not to find a formula for pi,” Sinha said in a YouTube video from Numberphile. “Pi was just a by-product.”
