Oh there they are
#Doodles#Original#Yay for proper designs ♪#Tid's wings are so cute haha#They're really properly heart-shaped in the original doodles of this concept and I tried to capture them but only kinda succeeded :'D#The one where he's hugging Gi is pretty close - and the one of him from behind did turn out quite pretty :D#The first one is based on the first doodles from a few years ago - it's quite cute but the blank eyes are a little hard to express with#Since they're faeries I could probably keep that for if/when they use magic#The basics behind this story were that Gi had been captured and mistreated - I think to harvest his wings for faerie dust?#But he got rehomed or sold or something?? At the very least whoever's in possession of him now doesn't want him to die#And these guys aren't really solitary creatures when they're hurt - they can fend for themselves in the wild but do poorly in captivity#So they introduce Tidbit to try and keep him from dying and Gi is not super into the idea#He basically sees it as a way to prolong his suffering by forcing him to develop a connection with someone who will just watch him die early#So he's pretty standoffish#Tidbit on the other hand is a touch naïve and doesn't really get the whole situation he just wants to help out this weird sad guy#It's a fun AU 'cause it basically flips their canon dynamic where Gi comes on to Tid /because/ of his loneliness haha#Pretty much what would've happened if they'd met too early before Gi had clawed his way out of his Sad Backstory™#It's also funny 'cause they're the same species which was one of the driving points of their dynamic in their canon timeline#To be fair Gi doesn't trust /anyone/ here lol fae or otherwise#Other fun details are how they have the same clothes because they were provided by their captors#And all of Gi's scars are from magic harvesting#Poor lad
