Snippet - Anyone But You (Alexia Putellas x reader)
It was the most important night in football as players all around the globe gathered in Paris for the prestigious Balon d’Or ceremony. Despite being one of the front runners you really didn’t want to be there have just played the last game in the international break. This was now the third time you have been ranked high but having just lost out in the previous two years, last year’s being to Alexia Putellas.
The moment your name is called though all irritated feelings disappear and proudness replaces them. You look into the audience and connect eyes with your sister Leah who was hands down your biggest fan, you could ask her and she would say the same thing. Even though Alexia had just lost, she too stood and applauded you with a grin on her face. You can only nod your head as your own sign of respect.
A couple of hours pass by and your social battery is all put empty. When Leah is having a little photoshoot with your trophy you see it as a perfect time to leave given that your younger sister is else wise occupied.
There was a chill in the air are you wait for your car service to arrive. Out the corner of your eye you see Alexia who is also waiting for her getaway car only she has a look a frustration on her face.
“¿Esta todo bien?” You took the small of amounts of steps so that you were by her side. Alexia sends you a soft smile as you make the effort to speak her language.
“I wanted to leave but the car is for the team and they are still in there” Alexia points back to the building.
“You’re staying at Le Grand Mazarin, right?” The Spaniard nods her head “Me too. You can share my car if you want”
Alexia thanks you many times and by the time she is done your car is pulling up.
Both of you watch the streets of Paris pass by you. The car journey is taking a little while longer due to traffic but neither of you seem to mind. You do find yourself stealing glances at the blonde, choosing to take in the sights of her instead of the french architecture.
Truth is you found her extremely attractive and looked forward to these awards shows because you knew she would also be in attendance.
It is when the car comes to a complete standstill for the fourth time that you decide to make a move.
You place your hand gently on her thigh as a way to get her attention.
“Do you want to walk the rest of the way?”
Alexia glances down at her shoes before asking you how far away you were. When you tell her that it’s only an half hour walk she accepts your invite whilst butterflies flutter in her stomach.
Yes, the hotel was only a short distance but somehow you are both walking the streets of Paris two hours later. You both talk about the pressures of your career, the love you have for your families and the kind of things regular people would talk about on their first date.
When you get back to your hotel Alexia invites you for a night cap in her hotel room. It is an invite that you do not decline. She, like you, had a room with a balcony that overlooked the Eiffel Tower. You never saw Paris as the city of love but with Alexia standing beside you, your outlook began to change.
“Can you believe that this is our lives?” Alexia asks you the unintentionally heavy question.
“Do you ever think about living a different life? Like you are destined for something more?” You answer her question with another question.
“We are Balon d’Or winning football players. What more are you talking about?”
“You wouldn’t understand. You are living your dream at Barcelona”
“And you are at Arsenal. It is your club just as Barcelona is mine”
But what if I don’t want it to be my club anymore?
You don’t say that or at least you didn’t think you did.
“I cannot imagine you in anything but an Arsenal shirt” Alexia response lets you know that you did in fact say it out loud.
“I can’t either and that’s the problem” you shake your head as you rid you mind of the thoughts “Forget I said anything”
“I can make you forget about it” Alexia closes the space between you, her hand comes to your cheek before leaning in to kiss you.
She did in fact make you forget about football and the stresses you were feeling.
When you wake up several hours later you do so with her arm wrapped securely around your waist. You feel vulnerable and exposed so you do what you think is best; you leave.
The walk from Alexia’s room to the elevator felt much longer than it did the night before and it makes you realise that you are making a mistake. You have an incredible night with the Barcelona Captain, the best night you have had in a long long while. You are filled with regret as you all but run back to her room only you find the door slightly ajar.
“You never do this Alexia. You slept with Y/N Williamson and she is-“
“It was a mistake. You know how these nights are and I used her as a distraction. It was nothing, a mistake and it shouldn’t have happened”
You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Last night you felt a connection with Alexia but clearly she didn’t feel the same thing.
Paris wasn’t the city of love. Paris was the city of lust and severe disappointment.

Twisted Wonderland Sightseeing and Travel Centre - Homepage
Travel FAQ || Accommodations || NRC Homepage || RSA Homepage
Is it your first time visiting Twisted Wonderland? If so, please allow us the honour to introduce our beautiful region to you! Whether you are planning your trip as a relaxing getaway or are looking to feel the thrill of watching our nation’s best battling it out, you are sure to find this region worth your time.
From the lush forests of Briar Valley over the impressive dunes of the Scalding Sands all the way to the azure depths of the Coral Sea, the region boasts not only awe-inspiring flora, but also various species of pokémon. You might recognise some of their names from your Pokédex, yet their appearance is guaranteed to surprise you. Yes, much like other regions, Twisted Wonderland is home to a few regional variants that we call ‘Twisted Forms’.
After a day’s worth of exploring everything the region has to offer, you can immerse yourself in the exciting atmosphere of a professional pokémon battle. Whether it is in the stands of one of our many stadiums or from the comfort of your temporary home through televised and online streams, watching the nation’s best give it their all is guaranteed to get your heart racing!
What sets the battles in Twisted Wonderland apart from those in other regions is the ability of strong trainers to use their Unique Magic to directly influence a battle. It’s a trainer’s innate talent that cannot be copied by anyone else and marks those who are able to use it as truly strong. It goes without saying that these abilities have the potential to change the flow of any battle and keep a match interesting until the very end!
Given the popularity of Pokémon battles as a sport, it should come as no surprise that many aspire to go professional and climb the League’s ranks. However, only a select few have what it takes. Sage Island is the epicentre of developing all things Pokémon-related. Not only is it home to the Pokémon League, the most prestigious academic institutions for aspiring young adults are located there as well.
Both Night Raven College and Royal Sword Academy, run by leading professors Dire Crowley and Ambrose LXIII, have the reputation of fostering a learning environment that consistently produces the strongest trainers of a generation. Furthermore, their students are also recognised in various other fields, such as the development and manufacturing of gadgets or the studies of types, attacks, abilities, evolutions and the like. Therefore it is not surprising many of them receive offers to go abroad for their internship to study under renowned professors and entrepreneurs from all over the world.
In fact, these institutions are so accomplished, they host the local Gym Challenge, which enables trainers outside the Top 10 to challenge the Elite Four in order to potentially qualify for the annual Champion’s Tournament. To determine which school gets the prestigious honour of putting forward the Gym Leaders, an exclusive tournament is held at the beginning of the season. For the past few decades, RSA has been able to clutch the win on the privilege of hosting the Gym Challenge.
Has your curiosity been piqued and your wanderlust set in? If so, the Twisted Wonderland Services and Tourism Centre eagerly awaits your timely arrival and looks forward to welcoming you to our beautiful region in person!
If you have any further questions, please visit our Travel FAQ or contact the staff of the TWSTC directly.
For more information on the local Pokémon, please visit the website of Twisted Wonderland’s Bellwether Institute.
For more information on internships and studies abroad, please visit the homepages of Night Raven College and Royal Sword Academy.

pls more about bodyguard!sev !!! them going public !!! the public loving them !! the wedding !!!!! help !!!
help is on the way babe <3
men and minors dni
funnily enough, your fans were the first people to suspect that something was happening between you and sevika-- only they suspected it months before you OR sevika even realized you had feelings for each other.
once you publicly announce your relationship, your fanbase goes crazy, absolutely ecstatic that you two managed to get your shit together.
sometimes, you and sevika will scroll through your #shipname on social media, watching corny edits of the two of you interacting. it always makes you both a little sappy and weepy-- you guys really are a cute couple-- even when you didn't realize you were a couple yet.
sevika keeps her position as your personal guard, but you add an extra personal guard to work with her on her shifts, to cover her watch when she's distracted by admiring you, or take over as first when you ask her to attend an event as your date.
of course, the media loves your relationship. sevika's comfortable with the cameras when she's working, when she's not the star of the show, but she absolutely hates the idea of all eyes being on her.
so you do one joint interview on night time television to address your relationship, and that's it.
sevika grips your hand the entire time, shaking in her boots. you answer most of the questions for her, and she spends the interview lovingly watching you effortlessly charm the crowd.
there is one question she takes though.
"when did you know you were in love with one another?" the old woman behind the talk show desk asks. sevika perks up with a smile on her lips and speaks without hesitation.
"first time i saw her sick." the audience laughs, but you don't-- you've never heard this before. "i'm serious. i knew i liked her for a while, but i thought it was just because she was always dolled up and on her best behavior when i was around. it's her job to be likeable-- i thought she was just good at her job. and she is, don't get me wrong. but the moment i knew, we were staying in thailand and she'd gotten horrible food poisoning. i remember coming to her hotel room to check on her. she answered in her pajamas, barf dried on her mouth, her eyes crusty from the nap she was taking-- she looked horrible. and when i saw her, i still felt that exact same relief and excitement i always did. and i felt it the rest of the night, too. even when she threw up on me." the audience 'awwww's. sevika smiles.
you promised her you wouldn't do too much pda in public-- it makes her uncomfortable to have so many people watching. but when you hear this, you just have to lean over and press a firm kiss to her lips. she doesn't seem to mind. the crowd goes wild.
your manager insists you have a big wedding. it's not sevika's thing, and it's not yours either. but you're a star, and sevika's the love of your life-- the people want a wedding.
so you plan something big. something wild and extravagant, with hundreds of paparazzi out front of the venue, and the most prestigious of your collages in attendance. your cake is taller than sevika, your dress is more a sculpture than a dress. it's all a lot. neither of you want it.
so the week before your wedding, you take sevika on a little getaway. you pack her favorite black suit, and your favorite white dress, and you drive her out to a small little retirement town where no one recognizes you.
you elope.
you marry in a tiny courthouse in the middle of nowhere, your witness being a grumpy old man who'd come to city hall to pay a parking ticket.
you both cry when you exchange ring pops (your real rings in your manager's possession until the wedding) and your kiss gets so nasty that your witness nearly has a stroke.
you spend the rest of the week in 'honeymoon' bliss-- fucking in the tiny hotel room you rented out, only leaving to hit up a greasy diner and nourish yourselves before returning to your love nest.
by the time your real wedding comes, you and sevika are both so fucked out and drunk off love for one another that you don't even notice all the fuss surrounding you.
it's just sevika, looking gorgeous as she stares at you on the altar. that's all you see that day. just. sevika sevika sevika.
the media notices. there's an article published about how there's only a handful of photos from your wedding and the following reception where you and sevika aren't lovingly gazing at each other, like you're the only two people in the whole world.
there's no photos from your real honeymoon... but there is a small gossip article where one of the housekeepers who was working in the hotel you both stayed in claims that you and sevika were, 'goin' at it like fuckin' rabbits.'
your manager tries to get it taken down, but you don't really mind... it's not like the kid was lying...
taglist!

I know I'm about to spill my soul to tumblr, but I have to get this off my chest.
Romancing Gale has been one of the most tear-ridden, emotional, cathartic, healing experiences I have ever had, let alone from a game. In some ways, it has been better than my time in IO therapy. Like so many Galemancers, I'm a burned out, traumatized gifted kid. His story is too parallel to mine: I was labeled gifted at three, was told I was destined for greatness, became a people pleaser with messed up sense of self worth, and "contracted" my orb while trying to impress everyone (I have crippling ADHD that made itself known while I was enrolled at a prestigious univeristy). I had to rebuild my sense of self and learn to accept who I am in the aftermath. Whenever I try to convince Gale that he is enough, I'm getting to talk to myself. I'm learning to be patient and gentle to myself by convincing Gale to be the same to himself.
But that's not all.
My parents are...less than stellar examples of a functioning relationship. I'll spare the details, but they have no romance and little visible love, though i do think they love each other, in whatever strange way they do. I'm not even sure they have many shared interests. I got extremely lucky to have married who I married, because I don't think I understood how normal, loving relationships worked. I thought a good relationship was an absence of fighting and some decent physical attraction. I got lucky I married who I did; I was on a doomed path. Gale has reminded me that it's okay to want and to have not just a relationship, but romance, that flowers and loving words can be part of reality, not just fairy tales and novels. For years, I've shot down spontaneous, nice dates or weekend getaways, or just gently accepted flowers because I don't know how to deal. My husband loves to offer all of that. And the words of some silly pixel man changed that. I can allow myself to be romanced and wooed (and wowed *winkwink*).
I can love and accept love and be loved for who I am, not what I offer.
#bg3#baldur's gate 3#gale of waterdeep#gale dekarios#my in laws are watching the baby this weekend so we can have a night away#and I'm going with it because i finally feel worthy#now I'm gonna kiss the pixel wizard until my real life wizard gets home

𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬
𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐊 𝐗 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑
𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: When Y/N is invited to a polo tournament on Deville manor, she never expects for the Holmes boys to fall for her during the weekend getaway. Though Sherlock is keen to make sparks fly, his love for Y/N seems more and more like a competition with his older brother.
Y/N soon learns that she has more on the line than simply getting her heart broken. She might also be at the centre of a dark conspiracy. 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐟𝐟, 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐭
────────⊳⋆⊲────────
"Do you see John, anywhere?" Mary peered through her binoculars, searching for her husband on the open field. “I promised him we’d pop by before the match.”
Y/N huffed in amusement. Earlier that week, Mycroft had invited John, Greg, Sherlock, and by extension, Mary and Y/N to join him for a weekend's polo tournament. The four men would play against a team of Mycroft's colleagues over the course of three days. It was a prestigious event and several higher up's in the British government would be in attendance.
The renowned Deville manor served as lodging and camp, with the lord of the house acting as master of ceremonies. Lord Deville's property extended throughout the English countryside, its picturesque landscape making the ideal spot for a tournament.
Y/N had been quick to accept Mycroft's invitation, only waiting for Sherlock's agreement before blurting out a sharp "yes," herself. She'd been doing that a lot lately - observing Sherlock's interactions from a distance. She ached for his approval but couldn't discern why.
Y/N ambled past a team of rival polo players with Mary still linked to her arm. Socialites mingled in groups around her. They chatted softly, their fingers wrapped around champagne glasses. Y/N instinctively smoothed down the front of her blouse. She scanned the manor's busy plot and noticed a row of security personall in the backstands working to blend into the background. It didn't come as a surprise that Mycroft had invited them to such a shrouded event. The man dealt in secrets, even during his leisure time.
"Have you spoken to Mycroft lately?" Y/N asked absently.
Mary dropped her binoculars. "He's not exactly my confidant. Why do you ask?"
Secretly, Y/N was intrigued by Mycroft's low profile, but she shrugged it off under Mary's stare. "I was just wondering. Isn't it strange that he invited us all for a weekend getaway? Social niceties aren't really his speed."
Mary pursed her lips. "You know, I was wondering that myself. I’d say he has something hidden up his sleeve."
“There’s certainly more to him than meets the eye,” Y/N murmured. She ignored Mary’s raised brow and changed the subject. "Anyway, I can't wait to see Sherlock in his riding gear. Do you think he's ever played polo before?" She bit back a smile trying to imagine Sherlock in sport's attire.
"Somebody is awfully curious about the Holmes boys today." Mary's eyes gleamed with mischief. "In love with them, are you? Oh, the scandal!”
Y/N clicked her tongue in annoyance, off put by the unwitting truth in Mary’s quip.
"I'm only teasing, love." Mary leaned her head against Y/N's shoulder and tried to suppress a giggle. "Come on, I think I see our boys just up ahead!"
The pair stumbled along a gravel path until they came to the main stables behind the playing field. Inside, John and Greg stood next to their ponies, both dressed in their polo whites and helmets.
Greg was the first to see them. "Oi, ladies!" he called. "What do you think?" He gave them a twirl, showing off his garb.
They clapped, both delighted by the outfits. "Your turn, John!" Mary called to her husband. "Give us a spin!"
John rubbed his pony's mane. "Absolutely not."
"Come on, mate," Greg urged. "Just a small one." John glanced at his friends and sighed. He spun in a circle begrudgingly and ended with a bow. "Are you satisfied?"
"Don't play coy," Mary chided. She slid over to her husband's side and kissed his cheek. "You really do look quite sexy."
"You think so?" John pressed his forehead against hers, pleased with the attention.
Greg and Y/N shared a meaningful glance, neither a stranger to the Watsons' marital bliss. "Almost make you want a love of your own, don't they, these two?" Greg whispered dreamily. Y/N hummed in agreement. The Holmes brothers flashed in her mind. There and gone again in an instant. Though she smiled, the inspector's words brought an ache to the pit of her stomach.
She ignored it.
The sound of footsteps sounded from the other end of the stable. "Fashionably late, are we?" Sherlock stepped in with Mycroft in tow. His posture was relaxed and he radiated a confidence that could be perceived as hubris by those that didn’t know him. The polo whites clung to his lithe frame, perfectly creased and tailored. A red stripe ran up his rider's boots, a striking contrast against the bright ensemble. Though Sherlock had never worn athlete's wear before, if Y/N hadn't known him, she'd swear that he'd been riding since his youth.
"Terribly sorry about the holdup," Mycroft called out. He glared at his brother with controlled irritation. He also wore the team colours, though his uniform was stitched with a gold crest on the breast pocket, marking him as Captain. He stepped forwards until he reached Y/N's side. He caught her eyes, his gaze inquisitive. "A gentleman never leaves a lady waiting,” he said. Mycroft's words were deliberate and relayed an intimacy that Y/N had never expected from him before. She studied him, surprised by the soft smile peaking from the corners of his lips. He seemed pleased to see her.
The spell was broken when Sherlock squeezed himself between the pair. "Yes, quite right. Thank you for that rather mediaeval anecdote, Mycroft. Now, why don't you check on the ladies near the playing field instead? I'm sure they're keen to see you. Wives of your colleagues and all." Though his tone was light, a darker mood hid beneath Sherlock's words. He held his brother's gaze with steady defiance, daring him to stay.
Mycroft spared a last nod at Y/N before stepping out from the stables. Y/N stared after him, puzzled albeit intrigued by his energy. In her bewilderment, she nearly missed the gentle touch of Sherlock's hand upon the small of her back. She looked at him, flustered by the doting gleam in his eye.
He moved his hand lower until it wrapped around her waist. With the other, he fetched the reins of his mare, guiding it out from the stall. “John, Lestrade, I’ll meet you on the pitch. Five minutes, no more.” Sherlock dipped down until his lips were level to Y/N’s ear. "Walk with me," he breathed.
Y/N felt a pleasant warmth at the contact. She followed him and though time didn't still, it slowed enough for her to question her affections.
Mycroft and Sherlock Holmes.
Two brothers with distinct sovereignty. Both intent on surpassing the other on every intellectual front. Beyond that, a rivalry existed between them, one that transcended their skills of deduction. Contention came naturally between the brothers. One need only imagine what might happen if passion were introduced to the equation.
“Are you alright?”
Y/N blinked. Her thoughts had raced off and now Sherlock was studying her carefully, concern creasing his brow. He had led her to a garden labyrinth, the scent of English yew unfurling around them.
Y/N braved a smile. He was beautiful in the sunlight. She reached out and caressed the mare that had cantered alongside them. It nuzzled into her palm. “I’m fine,” she said. “I was just thinking about the match.”
Sherlock nodded absently. He placed his hand over Y/N’s so that they both caressed the horse. She could feel his pulse, controlled but forceful against her skin. She met his eyes. She nearly shied away from his focus but he tipped her chin forwards with the shadow of a touch.
“You’re lying,” he said. “You were thinking of me.”
Y/N tensed and the mare whinnied.
Sherlock took both her hands in his own and held them to his chest. “Do you think of me often, I wonder? Do you think of my touch? I know I dream of yours.” Y/N dropped her arms to her sides, numb with anticipation. Though anticipation of what, she couldn’t discern.
Sherlock Holmes was her friend and nothing more. She couldn’t let her silly fantasies seep into their exchanges.
The overshadow from the noon sun cast darkened contours on Sherlock’s face but it didn’t harden the softness of his eyes. Y/N could no longer deny the implication of his words when she felt the push of his leg press her against the labyrinth’s hedged wall. The prick of branches pierced her back but she held her breath.
“Is this alright?” Sherlock breathed. He had already drawn nearer, his body flush against hers. His breaths were laboured, the faint touch of his lips on her cheek electric.
Y/N nodded.
Sherlock pulled back. “I need to hear you say it,” he said. “Otherwise…” he let the sentence linger, giving weight to his words.
“Yes.”
He exhaled as though he were expecting a rebuff. “Thank you.”
Sherlock licked his lips before dipping forwards and catching Y/N’s kiss. He held the back of her neck, the softness of his touch suggesting a fear of fragility. Y/N tensed despite the thrill of their tryst. Her blouse dropped from a shoulder and she gasped at the sudden coolness punctuating her warmth.
Sherlock grinned as he pressed another kiss to her neck. He caught the exposed skin from the fallen sleeve and breathed in the fading scent of her perfume and the labyrinth’s flora. He pushed deeper into the crook of her neck, landing tender kisses along the delicate line towards her jaw.
Y/N stood rigid at first, her chin resting against Sherlock’s shoulder. All she could do was grip at the back of his polo shirt, still disconcerted by his sudden show of passion. “I love you,” she heard him murmur into her neck. Her breath caught before she heard it again. “I love you.”
Y/N let her head fall back on the hedged wall. She felt as though seeing through a veil, unsure of this new development. Just yesterday, Sherlock had treated her as a friend. Though she always wished for it to be true, she hadn’t expected to become his lover only hours later. Mycroft flashed through her mind, but she waved him away.
Why was she thinking of the elder Holmes brother when Sherlock stood there having just confessed to loving her? Mycroft had shown her a rare kindness today, but she couldn’t pretend that it meant anything.
What had changed?
“Sherlock, I —”
“Five minutes, nothing more, was it?” a voice called out suddenly.
Y/N flinched and quickly straightened herself out from behind Sherlock. She peeked behind his shoulder and saw Mycroft standing across from them. He seemed bemused yet his eyes relayed vexation and hurt.
Sherlock turned and faced his brother. “Has it been longer than that already?” he asked jokingly. “Time seems to have gotten away from me.”
“Indeed. You’re already six minutes past the mark.” Mycroft geared forwards, his steps deliberate, his mood icy. “Hello Miss Y/N,” he said. “I didn’t expect you to be the keeper of my brother’s protraction.”
Sherlock looked back at Y/N and grinned. “Our meeting was imperative,” he assured his brother, arrogance dripping into his tone.
“Recreational,” Mycroft corrected.
The tension was heavy between both brothers and Y/N shuddered at their subtle resentment. “Sherlock, lead the mare to the pitch,” Mycroft ordered.
Sherlock stood firmly. “Can’t you?” he said innocently.
“I can’t always be the one to clean up after you. Take responsibility, brother mine. Or else you’ll lead her astray.”
Mycroft’s words were cryptic and Y/N got the sense that the conversation had veered away from the mare.
Sherlock tensed but did as his brother commanded. Just before he left though, he turned to smile at Y/N. “We’ll pick up on this, I swear to it,” he said, pressing one last kiss to her cheek. She smiled back but felt nervous at the unspoken truths writhing between both brothers’ obscured words.
They were hiding something and she was somehow involved.
Mycroft watched his brother leave before approaching Y/N. “This is already a strenuous event for me,” he said to her. “Do not prolong my agony.”
Y/N shuddered. “What do you mean?”
He smiled, but there was a sadness to it. “You look lovely in that dress,” he said, ignoring her question.
“Mycroft?”
“Tread lightly. There are secrets to this tournament that I fear will destroy you.” He sighed. “Take care of your heart, for it will prove your undoing.” Mycroft unclipped the stitched crest from his breast pocket and handed it to Y/N. “Maybe this will help in time.”
Y/N watched as he stepped away after his brother. Her heart was beating fast and the labyrinth’s glamour was slowly losing its appeal.
What had just happened?
Y/N felt as though caught in a web. She couldn’t distinguish sibling rivalry from the threat of something more sinister happening on the Deville manor. She tucked the crest into her pocket, too off put to inspect the strange gift just yet.
She thought of Sherlock. Did he truly love her? It had all seemed so perfect until those last few moments.
Y/N tried to steady the frantic beating of her heart. She would search for answers soon enough. She would unveil the Holmes brothers’ secrets. She would decipher the ragings of her emotions. Until then, there was a polo match to attend. She hoped it would run smoothly but in the deepest parts of her, she knew:
Madness would ensue.

*grabs you by the coat collar* wanna read Feels Like Christmas?
Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed this!!! I'm thinking of making "Game of Kings" a three part series, but I'm really not sure. It's a maybe possibly at the moment. So, if you're wondering about the sudden click where Sherlock randomly professed his love to Y/N without any context to the nature of their relationship... I'm leading up to that (hopefully). Is it genuine??? Is he playing with her heart??? Protecting her, maybe??? I don't know. And the sitch with Mycroft will come into play too. I hope this fic wasn't too messy.

I’m a slut for a good heist, what’ve you got cooked up so far? 💜
cee my love let us walk and talk
so the conman!steve au has been once again on my mind like a hat for many a hundred of year mostly because i want him to have his danny ocean moment!!!! and danny ocean isn't full smooth either, he's got a little goofy energy like steve has
this really came to light after i got this whopper prompt request from my love cherry @stveharringtn
and with this i formulated the plan.
steve is fresh out of the joint, and you're a former mark of his. you met him while working at a country club in order to put yourself through college. during this whirlwind little affair, he (stupidly?) had you stash a number of stolen pieces of jewelry on his behalf. he eventually went to jail for this and the running theory is you're the one who ratted him out-- the main runner of this theory is robin buckley, president of the don't shit where you eat club, and steve can see where she's coming from. but still. love prevails and makes you do dumb shit.
you, on the other hand? well, since steve's arrest, you changed your career path-- studied to become a gemologist so the next time some bastard in a linen suit asks you to hold a couple of sparklers, you'll at least know what they're worth. you're currently working as a fence in new york's diamond district.
and steve harrington is back on the streets. and old habits die hard.
supporting cast of characters include but are not limited to--
the aforementioned robin buckley as steve's partner in crime (our resident rusty ryan), dustin henderson as the bright-eyed young pickpocket-turned-professional conman under steve and robin's detailed tutelage, eddie munson as our beloved munitions expert, lucas sinclair and mike wheeler as the resident getaway drivers and will byers as the surveillance expert.
and on your end? you've got jane hopper and max mayfield working as your very own diamond scouts-- two former teenage cat burglars who you weren't about to leave starving in hell's kitchen.
the student becomes the master.
but then the master approaches you with a plan to lift millions of precious jewels from a prestigious new york exhibit (one that nancy wheeler happens to be managing (robin? your wife is calling)). he also plans on lifting YOUR HEART!!!!!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!

ᴀɴʏᴘᴏᴠ | ɴsғᴡ ɪɴᴛʀᴏ | ᴅᴀʀᴋ ᴛʜᴇᴍᴇs ᴄᴡ: (sort of) established relationship, mommy kink, breeding kink, age gap, infidelity, potential grooming
Character Description:
Background:
Kei was born into an incredibly wealthy family, he is of French and Japanese mixed origin. His mother divorced his father when he was young and returned to Japan. As part of the divorce agreement, his mother has agreed to go no contact with Kei for a large undisclosed amount of money. Kei and Stacy’s fathers are business partners, so the two grew up around one another. He was accepted into a prestigious university in Scotland and is currently in his third year. Kei and {{user}} began sleeping together after he graduated from high school and prior to returning to Scotland last year, he confessed his love for {{user}} while inebriated.
Scenario:
[The story is a dark, toxic, angsty, taboo, smutty slow-burn romance between Kei and {{user}}.]
First message:
It has been a year since he last saw you. A whole year without any contact or even a peep of news, all his texts and calls went unanswered. It drove him mad and he wanted to curse you for putting him through such distress, but deep down he knew that your coldness was justifiable, after all he was the idiot that unceremoniously confessed his love for you in a drunken stupor the summer prior. Not his finest moment and definitely not how he had planned the confession. In his mind, he intended on graduating first and making something of his life before ever alluding to the magnitude of his true feelings. Precisely because he knew it would terrify you. It was bad enough you two were having an affair in secret but then he went and dropped the L-bomb on you and god knows what else. What was worse was he couldn’t even remember the entirety of what he said to you. The night of Stacy’s farewell party last year, he had gotten way too drunk and all he could remember was the anxiety he felt the entire night. Lovesick and restless about being apart from you for another year, he had been trying to pluck up the courage to convince you to come visit him in Scotland, have a getaway trip away from prying eyes and the shackles of their lives. He had caught you in a quiet corner and he just blurted it out, knowing how ridiculous he sounded and it was the moment he saw your hesitation when he decided to stupidly add on that he was in love with you. Then blank. Typical. Now that he was back for the holidays, he was determined to set things right and win you back. It wasn’t off to a great start, you had greeted him cooly when he arrived at your house earlier in the night, hardly meeting his gaze as you kept the conversation strictly on his studies and travels. There was no question you still felt awkward around him, which was fun, expected even especially considering the company around them at the time. You’ve always maintained an excellent façade around others and he wanted to believe that your indifference was related to that. Then came the dinner and admittedly he began to feel the full force of your frigidity then, it was the way you interacted with every one of Stacy’s other guests with a smile and hell, you even gave your spoilt stepdaughter more attention that you did him. It was clear, lines have been drawn and you expected him to stay on the other side.
After the meal, Stacy rallied everyone to the pool and the real welcome back party began. Sat by the edge of the hot tub with a beer bottle in hand, Kei remained a quiet observer to the chaos taking place around him. The position he sat in gave him a good view of the pool but it also allowed him to glance back towards the house every so often, where he could see {{user}} through the kitchen windows. He took a sip of his beer as he noted you circling back and forth, cleaning up after the big dinner you had just prepared for everyone. Torn between keeping up with appearances and desperately wanting to run inside to confront you, he stayed sat there with a forced smile plastered on his face as he nodded along to whatever his friends were saying. After another few moments, he found himself glancing over his shoulder again and his heart stuttered at the sight of you approaching with a tray. There was a moment’s hesitation on your face when your eyes met, but you recovered quickly and offered him a treat which he accepted with a gentle smile. {{user}} then made your round like the perfect hostess, offering a dessert to each one of your stepdaughter’s friends and everyone paused what they were doing to take a sweet. The only one that did not was of course Stacy who looked irritated by the intrusion and shooed you away. Kei noticed the small dejection in your shoulders and like so many times before, he watched you put on a brave smile in the face of unwarranted hostility. You returned to the house with your tray, a single dessert left on it untouched, and quickly called back a goodnight as made your speedy exit. “Thanks ma’am!” Will shouted back as he joined Kei by the tub, just finishing his bite of the brownie as he waved at your retreating figure. As the girls made their way over, Will turned to Kei with a smug grin. “Damn, she’s as hot as ever. Stacy, your mom’s got it going on.” “Stepmom,” Stacy corrected with a slight furrow of her brows as she joined them, slipping into the tub as he gave Kei a quick cursory look. “And ew. She’s like ancient, don’t let all that surgery fool you.” “Nah, that sweet ass and pretty smile of hers tells me she’s all natural. A sexy momma,” Will chucked lecherously, elbowing Kei playfully. “Am I right, buddy?” “Not sure,” Kei shrugged back, lying through his teeth with no effort. “I never really thought about it.” From the corner of his eye, he could see the instant relief wash over Stacy’s face and he had hoped to incite that reaction from her. Stacy had always been rather transparent with her affections for him and he was also painfully aware of how much she disliked her stepmother, finding any excuse to begin bitching about her. Kei was not in the mood to deal with that tonight, but it seemed that despite his efforts she was set on complaining anyway. This time going on about how supposedly irritatingly dreary you’ve become and how you were likely doing it for attention since her father had shown signs of becoming bored of you. Kei watched the entire exchange with a flat smile, rejecting the urge to roll his eyes at Stacy’s blatant and frankly incomprehensible hatred towards you. This has been going on for years and Kei was exhausted with the same baseless accusations when you’ve been nothing but sweet and accommodating towards your bratty stepdaughter.
“Hey Stace,” Kei spoke before thinking. The group fell silent at the sound of his voice and he knew he had to think fast. “… I’m heading inside for a bit. Can I take your glass?” Stacy blinked back at him before glancing down at the empty cocktail glass in hand. Then with a smug smile, she passed the glass over to Kei. “Would you? Thanks.” As he headed towards the house, he heard more insults being thrown your way but at least he had excused himself for the meantime. He knew that Stacy was an ungrateful bitch, but he did wonder how much of what she said was true. Was there any chance that your husband’s attentions were drifting and you had genuine concerns about your position in the household? Arriving through the backdoor, he headed quietly into the kitchen. You were still in there stacking the dishwasher, a half full wine glass in one hand as you stacked plates with your free hand, every so often you took a sip from the glass. In your pretty slip dress and your feet bare against the tiled floor as you worked, you were the very picture of a domestic goddess and he found himself enchanted. Without thinking, he moved towards you and pressed you against the countertop with his arms bracing either side, effectively locking you in place as his hand curled over your free hand.
“{{user}}, p-please…” he pressed his body into your back, lowering his face into your neck and took in your intoxicating scent. “Stop ignoring me… I can’t fucking take it anymore…”
Example dialogue:
His mask slipping: “Why do you never stop talking, Stace? Just shut up for once.”
Seducing {{user}}: “I know I shouldn’t have said it… but can you blame me for feelings such things for you. {{user}}? You’re everything I’ve ever wanted and the only woman I’ll ever want.”
Wants to cum inside {{user}}: “Mmm, fuck… let me cum inside? Pretty please? I promise to take care of you, I’ll be a good daddy if we have a baby… f-fuck… please {{user}}…”
Wants a relationship: “Really consider it, {{user}}. I’m no longer a child and in a few years time, I’ll be able to support you and give you the life you deserve.”

Las Vegas Chill
Hi! I decided to make some changes into this story. Please let me know what you think! If you have any comments or requests, feel free to send them to me! Hope you enojy this!
Travis and Taylor arrived in Las Vegas with a sense of excitement and anticipation. The bright lights of the city welcomed them, casting a glamorous glow over their weekend plans. Travis had been invited to a prestigious golf game by a prominent business brand, making this trip more than just a getaway—it was a crucial networking opportunity. Taylor was thrilled to join him, eager to see him shine in his element.
As they pulled up to the golf course, they could see a small group of people waiting for them. Everyone got closer to greet them, shaking hands with his partners, Travis looked at Taylor with a hand on her back "Guys, this is Taylor, my partner" he said, smiling warmly.
Taylor shook hands with each person, flashing her bright smile. "It's great to meet you all," she said, her eyes sparkling with warmth and friendliness.
--
The morning on the golf course was beautiful. The sun shone brightly, casting a golden hue over the green expanse. Taylor watched Travis play, her heart swelling with pride as he skillfully maneuvered his way through the game, making impressive shots and charming his companions with his easy-going nature. She walked beside him, chatting with his colleagues and enjoying the fresh air.
However, as the day wore on, the weather took a turn. The once warm breeze turned chilly, and Taylor, dressed in a summer dress, felt the cold biting through her clothes. She rubbed her arms briskly but kept her smile intact, not wanting to dampen Travis's spirits or distract him from the game. She hadn´t thought of bringing a sweater, and was quickly regretting it as she felt another shiver run down her spine.
By the afternoon, the wind had picked up, sending a persistent chill through the air. Taylor’s nose had begun to run, and she felt stuffy. She instinctively reached for her purse, hoping to find a tissue, but she sighed defeatedly when she couldn´t find any. She had no choice but to keep sniffling and wiping her nose on her wrist. Despite her discomfort, she kept a smile on her face, cheering Travis on and engaging in conversation with his colleagues.
During a short break, Taylor moved closer to Travis, seeking warmth from his embrace. "Hey," she said, hugging him tightly.
Travis hugged her back, feeling her shivering. He heard her sniffles and looked at her with concern. "Are you okay, babe?" he asked, rubbing her back gently.
"Snff... Yeah! Snff... just chilly," Taylor replied, trying to sound upbeat as she wiped her nose with her fingers.
"Do you want to go wait for me in the clubhouse?" Travis asked, his brow furrowed with worry. “It´ll be warmer in there” He rubbed her back gently.
Taylor shook her head. "No, I want to watch you play. You’re doing great," she said, giving him a reassuring smile.
Travis kissed the top of her head, rubbing her arms for a few more seconds before he had to return to the game.
The wind picked up, making her shiver. She tried to stay cheerful, but it was becoming harder to ignore the cold and her increasingly stuffy nose.
“Hhh...hhih...hhetxchew!! Snfl,” she sneezed, catching the attention of some of the others.
“Bless you,” said one of Travis’s partners, a friendly woman named Janet.
“Thanks,” Taylor replied, sniffling embarrassed and pinching her nose with her fingers, trying to stop her tickly nose for good.
--
The game finally ended, and they said their goodbyes to everyone, making their way back to the hotel to change for dinner. As they walked to the car, Taylor’s nose was all pink and stuffy, and she was sniffling continuously. They got into the car, and Taylor immediately turned on the heat, sighing with relief as the warmth enveloped her.
"Ughh…I can’t wait to get to the hotel and take a hot shower," Taylor said, her voice congested, as she rubbed her hands trying to warm them up a little bit.
Travis looked at her with a guilty expression. "You should’ve gone to the clubhouse instead of standing in the cold. I hadn’t realized you were freezing," he said, regret evident in his tone.
"I just wanted to see you play," Taylor replied, but a sneeze interrupted her. "Huhhh... hehhh... heht’SHOO! Snff..."
"Bless you," Travis said, reaching over to the glove box. "There should be some tissues in here."
Taylor took the tissues gratefully and blew her stuffy nose. "Snff... Ugh, that’s better," she sighed, feeling some relief. She had been needing to blow her nose for hours now.
Travis looked at her again, rubbing her shoulder. "Are you getting sick?" he asked gently.
"No, I’m fine," Taylor assured him, giving her nose one last wipe. "My nose is just runny from being out in the cold."
They continued talking on the way back to the hotel, discussing the people they had met and the conversations they had. Travis had a knack for making connections, and Taylor loved listening to him recount his interactions.
--
As they reached their hotel room, Travis opened the door, letting Taylor in first. As soon as she stepped inside, she sneezed again. “Huhhh... hehhh... heht’SHOO! Hheh... hehh... hheh’CHSHOO!!” She sneezed into the ball of used tissues she held in her hand.
"Bless you," Travis said, kissing her head and rubbing her back. "Go take a warm shower. It’ll help."
Taylor nodded and headed to the bathroom. The hot shower did wonders for her, the steam clearing her runny nose and providing much-needed relief. The warm water felt heavenly, and she stayed in the shower for a long time, letting the heat seep into her cold bones and clear her runny nose. When she finally emerged, wrapped in a towel, she felt much better. She entered the bedroom, where Travis was waiting for her.
"Feeling better?" he asked, hugging her as she leaned into his embrace.
"Yeah, much better," Taylor replied, breathing deeply and feeling content wrapped up in his strong arms. "What time do we have to go out?"
"In about an hour," Travis said, watching her with a tender smile. "We should start getting ready."
He came out from the bathroom and sat on the bed to put on his shoes, but stopped watching her as she got ready. Taylor was sitting on the desk table at the end of the room and he could watch her reflection in the mirror as she put on her make up. He watched lovingly how she carefully applied her eyeliner, her hand steady and precise. He loved watching her get ready, the way she concentrated so intently, the small furrow in her brow as she focused. Every detail of her face was etched in his memory, and he never got tired of looking at her.
He noticed how she paused, her eyes closing and her breath hitching before she sneezed again. “Aaah...snfl...ahhit'chhew!!!”
"Bless you," Travis said, walking over to her. "Are you sure you want to go out tonight?"
"Yeah, of course!" Taylor replied, though her voice was slightly congested. “It´ll be fun!”
Travis came closer, a playful smile on his lips. "You know? I can think of better things we could be doing tonight if we stayed here," he said, wrapping his arms around her.
"Oh, really?" Taylor replied with a teasing smile. "What kind of things?"
"Something like this," Travis murmured, kissing her shoulder. "Or this," he added, leaving a trail of small kisses all over her neck, face, and lips. "And this," he whispered, kissing the perfect spot behind her ear that he knew made her weak.
Taylor sighed contentedly, running her fingers through his hair. "This is nice," she said softly.
Their kisses deepened, and they got lost in each other. "There's no way we’re going out tonight," Travis murmured between kisses.
Taylor giggled, "We’re gonna be late," she said, though she didn’t really make any attempts to stop him.
“Don´t care” He mumbled into her neck.
They continued making out for a few more minutes, but when Taylor felt they were getting more heated, she finally leaned back, giving him one last kiss. "Baby... we have to go."
They finished changing, and Travis asked Taylor for help with his tie. She came closer to help him, but a now familiar tickle sparked in her nose. She sniffled as she tried to keep tying his tie, but the tickle grew stronger. "Excuse mbe... hehh... heht’CHOO! Snff!" She turned around to sneeze into her elbow.
"Bless you, baby," Travis said, watching her with concern.
"Sorry," Taylor mumbled, finishing with his tie. “There… snff” She said rubbing her nose, “You look great, babe”. She stepped back a little bit to look at him, smiling as she watched her boyfriend´s final look.
"Thank you, baby. You look beautiful," Travis said, complimenting her. Taylor came closer once again, standing in her tiptoes to plant a small kiss into his lips.
“You ready?” He asked her and they grabbed all their stuff and headed off to the car.
--
They arrived to the fancy restaurant where Travis’s business manager and some other brand partners were waiting for them for dinner. As they arrived, Travis introduced Taylor to everyone, and they settled in for dinner.
"Taylor, this is Mike, my business manager," Travis said, gesturing to a tall man with a friendly smile. "And this is Sarah, from the brand team."
"It’s nice to meet you both," Taylor said, shaking their hands.
Dinner went well. Travis was his usual charming self, engaging in interesting conversations and making everyone laugh. Taylor, however, was quieter than usual, her constant sniffles making her feel self-conscious. She laughed at Travis’s jokes and made small comments, but she wasn’t her usual bubbly self. She could feel her nose running non-stop, and she discreetly sniffled and wiped it, not wanting to blow her nose in front of everyone.
"Taylor, how are you finding Vegas?" one of the partners, Blake, asked.
"It’s amazing," Taylor replied with a smile. "I´m so glad we came."
"It really is," Sarah agreed. "Have you two had a chance to explore much?"
"Not yet," Taylor said. "But we’re hoping to see more tomorrow."
As dinner wrapped up, Mike suggested they all go to a bar for drinks. "What do you say, Travis? Want to join us?"
Travis glanced at Taylor, noticing her glassy eyes and pink nose. "I think we’ll pass tonight. It’s been a long day," he said, giving a polite smile.
Taylor looked up at him, surprised but secretly relieved. She felt stuffy, her nose hadn’t stopped running all day, and she was dying for a minute to blow her nose.
"Alright, maybe next time," Mike said, giving them a friendly nod.
They said their goodbyes and stepped outside, the cool night air hitting them. Taylor shivered, stopping in her tracks as a dazed look came over her. "Hhut'chshh!! Snfl....Hhehishh!!!" She sneezed into her hands.
"Bless you," Travis said, taking off his jacket and putting it around her shoulders.
"Thandk you," Taylor said, smiling up at him.
"Why didn’t you want to go to the bar?" she asked, curious. "It seemed like fun."
"I thought we could use the early night," Travis said, kissing her cheek. "You seem tired."
Taylor looked at him, surprised. He was never one to decline a night out, especially in Las Vegas. "Oh, are you sure? Snff.. I'mb finde if you wadt to go out for a bit, babe."
Travis kissed her cheek again. "We can go out another night. Let’s just go to bed early tonight."
They continued walking, but as they reached the car, Taylor sneezed again. “Aaah...snfl...ahhit'chhew!!!”
"Bless you, baby," Travis said, rubbing her back.
"Snfff.. ugh.. snff!.. I thidk I'mb gettidg sick… snff!" Taylor said defeatedly.
Travis kissed her forehead, caressing her cheek. "Yeah, I think you are, love. Let’s just go to the hotel and order some tea and tissues for you, okay?"
Taylor smiled happily. "Okay."
They finally got into the car and drove back to the hotel, the warmth of the car soothing Taylor’s chills. --
Back in their room, Travis had ordered tea and extra tissues while Taylor changed into her pajamas. She blew her nose loudly, finally able to relieve some of the congestion. Travis handed her a steaming cup of tea and sat beside her on the bed.
"Here you go, love," he said, rubbing her back.
"Thadks, snff," she said, taking a sip. "This is good."
Travis smiled, pulling her close. "I'm sorry you got sick baby."
"It's ndot your fault," Taylor said, snuggling into his chest. "I had fun today."
"Thank you for coming, I really appreciate it," he replied, kissing the top of her head. "I love you."
"I love you too," she murmured, her eyes closing as she finally relaxed into his arms.
--
Taylor woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the faint hum of traffic outside their hotel room. She lay in bed, savoring the warmth of the blankets and the comforting presence of Travis beside her. His arm was wrapped around her waist, holding her close. She wanted to go back to sleep; but now that she was awake, she couldn't ignore the dull pounding in her temples or the raw ache in the back of her throat. She shifted a little and felt a wave of congestion hit her, her nose was completely stuffed up. She tried to breathe through her nose, but it was no use. A deep, throaty cough escaped her lips, and she winced at the sound.
Travis stirred beside her, he tightened his grip around her and kissed the top of her head. "Good morning, beautiful," Travis mumbled into her hair, his voice thick with sleep.
"Good bordig," Taylor replied, her voice thick with congestion. She sniffled quietly, snuggling closer to his chest.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, his fingers gently tracing patterns on her arm.
"I'b feelig better," Taylor lied, forcing a smile. She felt him pressing a kiss into her forehead while mumbling a quiet “That´s nice” into her hair, with his eyes still closed, not ready to wake up yet. “Did you sleeb okay?” She asked, nose pressed again his chest.
"Like a rock," Travis chuckled lightly. He stretched his arms and yawned, then asked, "What time is it?"
"Just after eight, snff" Taylor said, glancing at the clock on the bedside table. "Should we start gettidg ready?"
Travis looked at her with a mixture of concern and affection. "Are you sure you want to go out today? You don’t sound too good."
"I'b just stuffy, sniff.." Taylor insisted. "It's fide."
Travis propped himself up on one elbow to look at her. He gently kissed her forehead and asked again, "Are you sure?" He then pushed her onto her back, leaning down on top of her and dropping kisses all over her neck. "We could spend all day here in bed," he murmured between kisses “We don´t have to get up”
Taylor enjoyed the sensation, humming softly at how nice it felt. She could feel his light kisses along her neck, causing her to shiver pleasantly. She opened her eyes, one hand instantly going to the back of his head. "Hmm, snff… I really wadt to go out ahd see the city." As she spoke, Travis continued to kiss her repeatedly, his lips trailing from her neck to her collarbone. Taylor felt her nose start to run and a light tickle spark in her nose. She sighed contently as he pressed another kiss behind her ear, and then her eyes fluttered slightly as a faint, teasing tickle ghosted across the back of her nose and eyes. She sniffled softly, feeling the niggling itch of wet, drippy discharge beginning to trickle from deep inside her head down through her nostrils “Snff… Snrff” She sniffled once more and tried to push him back a little, but he kept on kissing her neck. “Trav, I… hh..” Her breath started to hitch, and she mumbled his name as she felt the inevitable sneezes coming on. “I... hh... hehh... Hih’CHOO! Hhh’tchiew!" She tried to turn away and cover, but wasn't entirely successful.
Travis laughed softly, his tone teasing. "Oh yeah, you definitely sound better," he said sarcastically.
"Sorry," Taylor mumbled embarrassed, rubbing her leaky nose firmly against the back of her wrist with a deep, long sniffle.
Travis leaned over to the bedside table and grabbed a few tissues. "Here," he said, handing them to her. "Are you sure you're okay, baby?" Travis brushed a strand of hair from her face, his eyes filled with concern as he watched her rubbing her nose against her tissues. "We don't have to go out if you're not feeling well."
"Id's just a cold, snff" Taylor assured him, blowing her nose loudly and then sniffling. "I'b fide, just a stuffy nose."
Travis watched her for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, then" he said, planting one more kiss against her bangs and getting up. "Let's go”
--
As they got ready, Taylor did her best to hide how miserable she felt. She showered quickly, hoping the steam would clear her sinuses, but it barely made a difference. Every time she blew her nose, it seemed to fill right back up again. She cursed her body for betraying her on what was supposed to be a fun weekend. She put on some make up to make herself look a little bit more presentable, she dabbed concealer under her eyes to hide the dark circles and applied a bit of blush to bring some color to her pale cheeks.
Travis, having now finished his shower, stepped out of the bathroom just in time to watch his girlfriend freeze in front of the mirror. The blonde girl had an unfocused, spacey expression on her face, one hand hovering a few inches in front of her mouth. “Hh-hhih...” Taylor huffed softly, pushing the tip of her finger up against the bottom of her nose as it quivered and flexed open a few times, eyes closing helplessly in submission. “Hhh...hheh'chhhx!! Snfl...” Taylor sneezed breathlessly; two fingers squished against the underside of her nostrils as she doubled over in the middle of the bedroom.
"Bless you!" he called out warmly from the bathroom door.
Taylor chuckled softly, rubbing her nose into a fresh tissue. "Thadks, babe."
Travis watched her closely. He could see the signs of her sickness—her red, chapped nose, the way she kept sniffling, the tired look in her eyes—but he didn't want to push her. He knew how stubborn she could be and didn´t wanna argue with her, he figured they could visit some museums and art galleries, just walking around for a bit wouldn´t make any harm. "You look beautiful, babe" he said, leaning in to kiss her forehead.
"Thangks!" Taylor replied, a small blush tinting her cheeks. She cleared her throat and forced another smile. "You ready?" He nodded while grabbing his wallet and his cellphone.
"Do you want to grab some breakfast before we head out?" Travis asked, as Taylor finished doing her hair.
"Yeah, that souds great," Taylor replied, trying to sound enthusiastic despite her stuffy nose. "Snff! Let's go."
They left their hotel room and stepped into the elevator, making small talk as they descended. The elevator door opened on another floor, and a couple stepped in. Taylor could feel their eyes on her and Travis, they kept staring at them not so discreetly, clearly recognizing them but saying nothing.
As the elevator descended further, Taylor felt a tickle inside her nose. She tried to rub it away discreetly, not wanting to sneeze in the small, crowded space. She sniffled congestedly, trying to hold back, but the tickle persisted. Finally, unable to suppress it any longer, she turned to the side and pinched her nose in between two fingers.
"Hhh...hih’Ngxt! Snfl…" Taylor stifled the sneeze as best as she could, but the force of it made her sniffle again immediately after.
Travis rubbed Taylor’s back soothingly. "Bless you, love," he said softly.
Taylor’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she noticed the other woman in the elevator give her a disapproving side-eye and roll her eyes exaggeratedly, clearly annoyed by the perceived germs.
"Thank you," Taylor murmured, feeling awkward under the woman's gaze.
Travis gave her hand a reassuring squeeze and leaned in closer to her as the elevator doors opened with a ding, and Travis grabbed her hand pulling her out and leading her into the lobby.
They headed to a nearby café, the morning sun shining brightly, the heat hit them immediately, making Taylor feel slightly better as the warmth soothed her chills.
The café was cozy, with a quaint, inviting atmosphere. They found a quiet table at the back and sat down. Taylor immediately felt a blast of cold air from the air conditioner vent above her, sending a shiver down her spine. She sniffled, trying to ignore it and grabbed the menu sitting in front of her.
After a few minutes, she slowly raised her free hand back to her face, hovering an inch or so in front of her nose and mouth as her breath huffed softly in her chest. "Hh...hih...hhet'CHOO! Hhh...hihh...hhet'CHSHOO!" She sneezed into her elbow, then quickly grabbed a tissue to blow her nose, the sound congested and wet. "Ugh... snnf... sorry."
"Bless you” Travis said, glancing up from his menu. He looked up and noticed the air conditioner blowing directly into her back “Baby, you´re sitting right under the vent. Do you want to switch places?"
Taylor shook her head. "I'mb finde here."
"I don't mind switching," Travis insisted. "It can´t be good for you to sit there with the cold air blowing on your neck."
"I'mb really okay," Taylor said, trying to reassure him. "Snff... So, what are our plans for today?" Taylor asked, but then her eyes snapped shut again and she turned away from the table with another stuffy sneeze "Huhhh... hehh... heht'SHOO! Sniff...” Travis gave her a pointed look, and Taylor laughed, despite her discomfort. "Okay, okay... Can we switch? I'mb freezig over here."
Travis smiled and got up, switching places with her. "There, that's better."
"Thadk you," Taylor said, feeling a bit more comfortable now.
"I was thinking we could check out some of the art galleries you wanted to see and maybe do a bit of shopping," Travis suggested. "How does that sound?"
"That´s perfect," Taylor replied, smiling at her boyfriend. She rubbed the side of her hand against the wet underside of her nose, feeling her breath catch and her eyes snap shut. “Huhh-tchhh! Ahhhh…ahhchiiew!” Taylor buried her face in her elbow with two damp sneezes, turning away from Travis as her shoulders bobbed forward helplessly. "Snff... Excuse be," she muttered, sniffling stuffily as she grabbed her purse to look for a new tissue.
"Bless you," Travis said gently. "Are you sure you’re okay?"
“Trav, I´mb fide” the blonde girl groaned, rolling her eyes for good measure as she gave her nose another wipe “It´s just a cold, I´ve told you”
“Okay, okay. I´m sorry” He raised his hands in apology, smiling sheepishly at his girlfriend, making her shake her head and smile back at him.
They ordered their food, and soon, plates of breakfast delights were set before them. Taylor had ordered a fruit parfait, but as she ate, she realized she wasn't enjoying it as much as she thought she would. Her congestion made everything taste bland.
Travis noticed her picking at her food. "Not hungry?" he asked.
"I just... dod't really like this, snnnf" Taylor admitted. "I should've ordered what you got."
Travis smiled and pushed his plate of scrambled eggs towards her. "Here, have some of mine. We can share."
Taylor hesitated but then took a bite. "This is really good. Thadk you."
"You're welcome," Travis said warmly.
They finished their food and had already decided all their plans for the day, so they headed out to explore the city. As they walked along the Strip, Taylor marveled at the vibrant energy of the city. Neon signs flashed, music played from every direction, and the streets were bustling with people.
The first gallery they visited was quiet and serene, with soft classical music playing in the background. The quietness of the gallery made Taylor feel even more self-conscious of her constant sniffles. The quiet atmosphere made her feel like every sound she made was amplified, and she didn´t want her sneezes echoing through the whole place, disturbing everyone´s peace.
"Hnn’CHoo! Hih’gnxt!" She pinched her nose into her tissues as her shoulders bobbed forward helplessly. She immediately gave her runny nose another swipe on her soggy tissues, sniffling softly.
"Bless you," Travis whispered, rubbing her shoulder.
"Thagks, snff... sorry," Taylor mumbled, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
"Don’t worry about it," Travis said, giving her a reassuring smile and putting his hand on her back, guiding her to the next room.
“Snff..snrff!” She sighed, dabbing at her nose with the crumpled tissue she had in her hand. She reached into her purse for a new one to blow her nose into, only to find that she just had a few more left. She cursed herself, they had been out for a bit more than an hour and she was already almost out of tissues. She wiped her nose and saved the soggy paper in her pocket, knowing she was going to need it again soon.
After they left the gallery, they walked around the city, visiting various shops and sights. The constant temperature changes—from the scorching heat outside to the freezing air conditioning inside—were taking a toll on Taylor. She felt her symptoms worsening, her nose constantly running and her head throbbing, and she felt a constant tickle in her throat that made her want to cough.
“Oh, there´s the Mob Museum” Travis pointed out exited as they walked out of a store hand in hand “Sarah was talking about it last night”
Taylor nodded, squeezing his hand. "Oh yeah, I remember. Let´s go in!"
As they walked, Taylor tried to keep up with Travis’s enthusiastic pace, but the sun had made her feel dizzy, and her nose was constantly running. She kept dabbing at it with the tissues she had brought from the hotel, but they had quickly become soggy and unusable. She clearly should´ve brought more.
They wandered through the museum, admiring the art. Taylor tried to focus on the exhibits, but her head was throbbing and she truly didn´t feel great. The air conditioning blasting in the museum wasn´t helping either. She was freezing even with her sweater on.
"Snff... snff..." Taylor tried to discreetly sniffle. She was all stuffed up. Her nose was running non-stop, and she had to keep dabbing at it with her soggy tissues, sniffling and rubbing her nose on her wrist to hold back the congested tickle that kept welling up.
"Are you cold?" Travis asked, noticing her shiver.
"Yeah, it's the AC," Taylor replied, wrapping her arms around her chest. "Itd's freezidg id here."
“Come here” Travis mumbled, pulling her closer and rubbing his hand up and down her arm to try and warm her up.
"Oh my God, Tay look at this," Travis said, pointing to the other side of the room, walking excitedly. "This is Al Capone's cell. It's so small."
Taylor tried to smile, though it was getting harder to remember why she was hiding her current state from her boyfriend, following him around Vegas all day when she could be snuggled in bed with a fresh box of tissues next to her. She was woozy and exhausted and shivering with chills, her head was still pounding, her throat ached; and she was too embarrassed to blow her runny nose in the middle of the museum, leaving her sniffling and wiping away wet trickles of snot with her last, crumpled tissue every few minutes.
"Can you imagine living in a space like that?" Travis mused, shaking his head.
Taylor peered at the exhibit, her eyes watering slightly from the effort of holding back a sneeze. "Yeah, it's really tihh... snff... Hhh'hichiew! Snfl." Taylor shivered a little when she sneezed, her blonde hair splaying across her face as her shoulders jerked and her body bent double. "God bless you," Travis cooed sweetly, rubbing Taylor´s back as a round of raspy coughing followed after her helplessly wet sneeze.
“You good, baby?” He rubbed her back gently as she caught her breath with one more sniffle.
“Yeah… snfffl.. sorry” Taylor sighed miserably and gave her nose one more wipe.
They moved from exhibit to exhibit, but Taylor was barely paying attention to the museum. She was feeling gross and was exhausted, but couldn´t bare to ask him to leave when he seemed so happy to be there.
"Look at this," Travis said, pointing to a picture as he took out his iPhone to take a photo. "Isn't it amazing?"
“Uhh...snfl...uh-huh,” Taylor nodded, still staring off into space as her eyes narrowed involuntarily, and her delicate pink nostrils began to quiver and flare. “Hh... snfl... hhuh'tchxiew!!! Heh'iishew!!” Taylor sneezed desperately into the soggy remains of her tissue, cringing with embarrassment at the feeling of snot hitting the palms of her hands and quickly turning away from Travis and getting another crumpled tissue from her pocket. It wasn´t much, but at least she could clean herself up.
A grown man turned around and offered her a kind smile. "Bless you," he said gently.
"Thandks," Taylor murmured quietly, her face burning with embarrassment as she wiped her nose again and avoided lifting her eyes and making eye contact. She felt Travis wrap his arm around her shoulder pulling her closer and kissing the side of her head. She leaned into his body as they walked together into the next room.
They finally left the museum a few minutes later, the warmth of the sun felt good against Taylor’s cold skin, but it did little to alleviate her symptoms. They headed to a nearby restaurant for a quick lunch. The waitress led them to a table and Taylor excused herself to the restroom.
In the privacy of the bathroom, she could finally allow herself to blow her nose properly, the sound loud and wet. "Snff... Ugh," she groaned, looking at her reflection in the mirror. Her nose was red and irritated, her cheeks were flushed and she looked exhausted. She leaned against the bathroom wall and closed her eyes for a few seconds. She felt utterly miserable.
When she returned to the table, Travis had already ordered some drinks. "Got us some water," he said, smiling gently. "Do you want to share a sandwich?" Travis asked, looking through the menu. "Or maybe a soup would be better for you?"
"Thank you," Taylor said, grateful for his thoughtfulness. She took a sip, the cold drink soothing her irritated throat. “I thidk I´mb in the mood for sombe pasta… Snff” Taylor sniffled, her nose feeling congested once again and she sighed, she took one napkin from the table and pinched it around her nose. "Snff... Baby, I’mb sorry, but could we... snff… stob for mbore tissues after this? I’mb runnidg out."
Travis reached across the table, taking her hand. "Of course, Tay. Don’t be sorry. We’ll get you whatever you need. Do you want us to go back?" He asked her, watching her as she dabbed her damp nose in the napkin.
“No, no. I´mb fine. I just need sombe more tissues ahd I´ll be all right”. She looked at him with a smile.
They ordered their lunch, with Taylor struggling to eat much. Her throat was scratchy, and she could barely taste anything. They chatted about everything they had seen today, watching the pictures they had taken and taking notes on their favorite spots.
Travis watched concerned as she picked around her food- He could tell she wasn´t feeling great at all, and he couldn´t understand why she didn´t just tell him, he had already offered to go back to the hotel multiple times through the day and she had insisted she was fine. But looking at his girlfriend sitting in front of him; shivering with her red nose; glassy eyes and flushed cheeks, he knew she was clearly not okay.
"I was thinking we could check out the High Roller after this," he suggested, showing her a photo of the giant ferris wheel, "And maybe hit the casino later tonight? There´s also that circus Mike mentioned yesterday, that seemed awesome" Travis continued, his tone teasing.
"Yeah... that souhds good," Taylor said, forcing a smile. Though just the thought of going into a ferris wheel right now made her head spin.
Travis chuckled softly, noticing her forced enthusiasm. "Really? Because there’s also that zip-lining place we talked about, or we could go see a show. Maybe even hit up a few more bars."
Taylor's eyes widened slightly at the long list, too tired to even notice Travis was playing with her "Umb, sure, that all souds good, snff."
Travis leaned back in his chair, laughing at his stubborn girlfriend. "Tay, come on!"
“What?” She looked up at him surprised by his reaction “We can do whatever you wadt, baby… snff… It all souds fun”
"Whatever I want? Really?" Travis asked, "Because what I really want is for my girlfriend to tell me honestly when she's feeling sick, so I won't make it worse by dragging her around town all day."
"Trav, I...uhh..." Taylor´s expression slid slightly out of focus, and a little crinkle appeared between her eyes. Travis instantly recognized her girlfriend's woozy, gonna-sneeze expression (the last time he'd seen it had been maybe ten minutes ago). Eyes narrowed, Taylor slowly raised her free hand back to her face, hovering an inch or so in front of her nose and mouth as her breath huffed softly in her chest. "Hht'chhihew!!! Snfl," The blonde girl shivered visibly as she pitched forward and caught the wet sneeze in her hands in midair. "Ughh. Excuse mbe," she sighed, sniffling wetly as she wiped the glistening underside of her nose on the back of her hand.
“Bless you, baby” He sighed, passing her a few more napkins as she sniffled “How about we go back to the hotel, put on some pajamas, get in bed, put on a movie and order some room service?" He smiled gently as she wiped her nose.
“That actually does soud abazidg” Taylor sighed, a tiny, unwilling smile tugging on the corner of her mouth. “I´mb sorry, baby. I didn´t wadt to ruidn our trip”
Travis reached out, taking her hands in his. "You're not ruining anything, love. I just want you to feel better.” He kissed the back of her hand. “Come on, let’s head back now”
--
The elevator doors closed behind her and Travis just smiled at the woman standing right in front of him as he guided her with his hands on her shoulders. He opened the suite with a magnetic key card, letting Taylor enter their hotel suite first. He closed the door behind them, and watched as Taylor made her way to the little night stand in the bedroom and to grab a tissue from the box that had been sitting there since last night, pinching her nose snugly in the fresh tissue with a deep breath like she was going to sneeze—but then it passed, and she sighed again, rubbing her damp nose through the fabric.
Before attempting to take off his shoes, he picked up the phone next to the tv remote, pressing a button. Taylor looked up at him confused, still trying to find the pack of advil that she had gotten last night. She poured herself a glass of water and swallowed two pills, hoping they could help her throbbing head.
“Hi, I’m calling from room 412. I would like to order some room service.”
She heard him say into the phone as she changed into some more comfortable clothes, and looked up smiling thankfully at him. Of course he would make sure she got everything she could possibly need in this moment. She looked up at him with a grateful smile, while rubbing the snot-slicked underside of her pink nose in little circles through the tissue, in a vain attempt to scratch the tickle in her nose.
“Hh—hhih—ehhihtchiuh!! Iih'iishhew!!! Snfl...” Taylor shivered and sneezed into her tissue, pressing it firmly to the wet underside of her nose in an attempt to quell the itch there before in bloomed into another sneeze; but the woozy expression plastered to her face when she raised her head suggested otherwise. Travis talked to the man on the phone while he watched as Taylor crawled into bed, feeling utterly exhausted. He couldn’t help thinking how adorable she looked with her red nose and tousled hair, all snuggled up in the big hotel room bed.
“Okay baby, tea and tissues coming right up” He told her as he hung up the phone.
“Thadk you so buch, baby. Snff. You´re the best” She smiled at him, her knuckles rubbing her nose once more.
"Of course I am," Travis joked, climbing into bed beside her. He leaned over, showering her face with gentle kisses. "And you, my love, are not leaving this bed until you've run out of sneezes and sniffles."
Taylor giggled softly, feeling a surge of warmth and love despite her misery. "We mbight need to be here for a while, thed."
"That's perfectly fine with me," Travis said, kissing her forehead. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.

Reverse the Madness chapter 2
Prolog 1.1
When Vertin Comes to, they realize several things. One, their surroundings are dark. Two she is in some kind of box. Three, there is a voice coming from right outside of the box. We go through the usual scene of grim light, the coffin/Gat on fire and is surprised when Vertin is Awake, and quickly demands that Vertin hand over this robe. Vertin is confused as they had never seen a talking Carbuncle before, which Grim takes offense to.
With quick thinking and a quick spell* Vertin is able to make a getaway, and runs through a series of unfamiliar hallways. It wasn't long before they managed to arrive at a semi-safe place, specifically a library. It's at this point Vertin stops running. Thankfully she had her suitcase on hand, Vertin at this point sets it down, and opens it to check on the condition of those inside. Upon unlocking and opening the lid Mr.APPLe Flies out slightly dazed from having been jumbled while in the case, followed behind by Sonetto. Both were slightly dazed from the shalking, and quickly managed to collect themselves, and asked what the situation was.
At this point Grim shows up and demands Vertin hand over their clothing. APPLe and Sonetto are both surprised to see a talking critter, which they voice and offend Grim. Before a fight can break out they end up interrupted as a leather whip quickly emerges from the dark, and snares Grim.
The Group are Surprised as a tall figure emerges from the shadows, proclaiming that he had found their wayward student, but stops upon seeing the Trio.
“Wh-what? There should be on missing Student, and you young miss how did you get in, No Never mind please follow me back to the Mirror Chamber,” the man instructs.
Vertin and Sonetto are confused, but decide to follow, as they have no leads, and the man manages to handle the critter called Grim for them. The man walks and is exclaiming how he had never seen such an eager student to break down the Gate, at which point Vertin infers that he was talking about the Coffin in which he had emerged from. Sonetto pales slightly at this information as she couldn't imagine what it must have been like to suddenly have woken up in a cramped space, only to find out it had been a coffin.
While they are walking back to the Mirror Chamber, Vertin asks who the man is, and where they were. The man asks if Vertin was still disoriented by the teleportation onto the campus. The Man introduced himself as Headmaster Crowley, and that they were currently at Night Raven College, one of the most prestigious school for budding young mages. This surprised the Trio as they had never heard of a school for arcanis outside of the school of discipline set up by St. Pavlov Foundation.
At this point APPLe comments on how he had never heard of a school like Night Raven College, or of any school designed for Arcanist. Crowly stops and turns to face the floating Fruit, not having realized that he had been following them, or that he was even alive to begin with.
“You are… alive and able to speak? Are you the familiar* of one of the two youngsters, or a product of their Unique Magic?” the Crowman asked. The Trio didn't respond not sure what a Unique magic was, nor having heard of anyone refer to Mr.APPLe as a familiar before.
Neither agent were able to voice their confusion as they had arrived back at a n ornate set of double doors.
The Group could hear voices coming from inside, and some commenting about how Crowley had gotten a stomach ache. At that point the Crow man, whether to maintain some dignity, or simply to be dramatic, pushed open the door loudly proclaiming he had not.
Everyone turns to the door where the group entered from, and murmurs quickly begin to run rampant as they note Sonetto with them. Vertin and Sonetto are confused as they pick up small comments, and about why a girl was here, if they were both students, and why Sonetto was out of uniform.
With a wave of his hand Crowley quickly silences the chatter as he then instructs Vertin to stand before the Dark mirror. Upon stepping up to the Dark mirror, a mask appears illuminated by green fire within the surface of the looking glass.
Sonetto pulls out her wand prepared to let fly a spell but stills her hand as the mask begins to speak asking for Timekeeper’s name.
Vertin states their name, and the mirror pauses for a moment before it begins to speak.
“A soul that Stand before the Storm, yet sings in harmony with Nature. How Strange the power lies deep within, yet to fully flower.they Are suited for all Dorms, and yet none at all.”
This causes the Hall to break out into more commotion as they hear this. Crowley attempts to get everyone to quiet down once more, stating that such a thing had never happened, and how in all the time the Dark Carriage had never brought someone not able to be sorted into the school.
At this point Grim manages to break free from Crowley’s “Lash of Love,” and claims that if Vertin couldn't be sorted, he'd take their spot. To show his ability, Grim then began to let loose a series of fireballs, and began to set the room on fire, causing many people to panic.
Vertin managed to dodge out of the way of the sudden conflagration, and Sonetto managed to pull APPLe, and Crowley to the ground avoiding several more flame blasts that came their way.
It was pandemonium as people began panicking, on Student proclaiming how he had caught fire, and was panicking. The fire quickly spread and students were panicking trying to get away from both the flames, and the fire spitting Critter. Amongst the panic, several figures and one floating tablet where being calm, and talking amongst each other, as they debated on who had to deal with the Critter, whine finally one Azul, and Riddle decided to manage the situation.
Both took off to chase down Grim and stop the constant flame. Meanwhile Sonetto, APPLe, and Crowley stood back up taking in the scene and began to try to maintain order. APPLE also began to assist attempting to guise many students who were confused about the floating, talking apple. Sonetto moved to help the kid who had caught fire, and was able to quickly put out the fire on his robe.
Vertin meanwhile quickly analyzed the issue, and went to their case, and opened it, and as if knowing what was going on out popped a new person. In a spectacular display of flame Ulu emerged from the chase shining brightly as she was quickly wrapped in her own flame. Everyone watched in amazement as this newcomer quickly began to hand the blue flames, absorbing them, and dispersing the inferno before it could spread even further. Grim was taken aback by how easily someone was able to handle his flame, and seemed even more powerful with fire magic than him.
It was in that moment of distraction that Sonetto and Riddle both took a shot to stop Grim before he could cause more damage.
“Off With Your Head!”
“ Sempre caro mi fu quest'ermo colle!”
With Sonetto’s Spell, Grim was quickly incapacitated preventing him from casting more offensive magic, and with Riddle’s A heart shaped collar with a checkered pattern snapped around his neck, selling his magic until it would be removed. Azul upon seeing both Spells couldn't help but make comments about wanting them, but quickly covers himself saying he wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of them. Vertin and Sonetto both made notes to be careful around the lavender haired man.
At this point Crowley steps back in and quickly exclaims for Vertin to keep an eye on his Familiar, holding grim by the Collar that Riddle had put on him, and to explain who the Girl(Ulu) was and why she had emerged from her Suitcase.
Vertin comly refutes that Grim was his familiar, stating she had never seen them before today. As for ULu Vertin explains she was part of his team, and at that point APPLe, Sonetto, and Ulu go back to stand by Vertin, who explains who they are, and that they may have ended up at Night Rave College by mistake. Now knowing that Grim was not connected to any of the individual members had him taken out and released outside school grounds. Lillia who was coming in to check and see if Mallous had been invited and saw the instance of Ulu emerging and helping put out the flame, impressed and curious unfolding, the elder fay decided to watch and observe, noting the strange magic the newcomers were emanating.
Crowley sensing things had become significantly more complicated, instructed that the Housewardens take the student back to their dorms at which he notes the missing Housewarden of Diasomnia, and comments on whether he had been notified of the sorting ceremony. Many mummers come from people in surprise, and slight fear of one of the five most powerful mages actually attending the College.
The Housewardens all give excuses, and eventually Lilia makes his way over simply stating that Malleolus never received his invitation.
Without much more hullabaloo the students are walked out through various Mirrors to their dorm rooms. After they all are cleared Crowley decides that it was best to have Vertin and his group go back to where they came, and everyone agrees as it would be the easiest thing to resolve the situation. Crowley watches as Vertin opens her case once more, and to his surprise sees Sonetto, and Ulu transformed into animals, before leaping into the open case, followed by APPLe, who was already small enough to fit inside.
Once they enter and Vertin reselas the case, Crowley instructs them to stand inside the Gate, and imagine where they wish to return to. Vertin does as instructed, and Crowley chants to the Dark Mirror to return them to where they came from, only for it to fail. And the mirror explains that the place they belong to is nowhere in the world.
Once more Crowley cries out of the impossibility, but quickly calms down, and states how so many impossibilities had been happening. At that point Crowley decided to attempt to see what was going and decided to get the facts from Vertin.
Vertin explained once more that they From the St. Pavlov Foundation a group that bot researched a strange Phenomena known as the Storm, and attempting to bridge the gap between Arcanist and Humans, which confused Crowley as he had never heard of St. Pavlov Foundation, or any strange Storm. Crowley also noted the strange term used to describe mages that Vertin used.
At that point Crowley decided that it would be best to simply have Vertin bring his teammates back out so they could try and decide how to best handle the four of them. At the mention of his team Vertin paused, and decided it would be best to rip the bandage and show Crowleyjust how extensive her team was.
“Sir there's… something you should know, Sonetto, APPLe, and Ulu are not the only individuals that were teleported with me, the Rest of my team is in The Case, and given the situation it might be best for you to meet them, and we can decide where to go from there.”
Crowley was surprised to hear that there were more people in the case but fingered that it must be some kind of magic item that allowed for multiple people to travel together, and given what Vertin had told them about the foundation such a tool must have been useful for large groups. Crowley watched as Vertin opened the Case and began to speak into it to call ‘everybody’ out and that they needed to discuss the situation. Setting the case down to the floor, Crowley watched as the familiar shapes of APPLe, and Sonettos dog form popped out, followed by an unfamiliar bear cub, and then as spider, followed by a dolphin with a triangle on its Dorsal Fin, and more and more came out. Each time each animal would turn into a person once they had reached a spot where there was enough space to do so without bumping into someone else.
Crowley could feel himself getting paler and paler, as he saw more and more people, from different age groups, gender, and species appearing. There were men, women, children, a scarecrow, even a dog dressed like a king. It wasn't long before a large gathering had formed, and the headmage watched as a small armie had emerged from within the case.
“Well sir that is everyone,” Vertin said as Pickles simply took a seat next to Diggers who was happily looking around the room making comments on the unique vibe the room gave. Crowley could only stair for a moment mouth agape before he did the only thing any person could after seeing the parade of people suddenly appear before him from someone's luggage.
Crowley passed out.

Liv couldn't wrap her head around the fact that Professor Hooke had teamed her up with him to tackle the experiment. She muttered under her breath, eagerly counting down the days until university was over, and she wouldn't have to endure the sight of that rascal's face anymore. The rivalry between Liv and Jeongguk had deep roots, It started in highschool high where they gave their all to snag the top spot. Now, at the prestigious Stellar Institute of Technology, Liv pursued Astrophysics and Sonic Arts, while Jeongguk majored in Astrophysics and Astrobiology. He had also landed an athletic scholarship. The competition was still alive and kicking.
Okay maybe I exaggerated a little.
She didn't totally hate Jeongguk, she was a little bit jealous of him. She had to study her ass off to get in the university of her dreams, while Jeongguk got in simultaneously being the ace of the under-18 soccer championship.
" I can't believe Professor Hooke assigned us together for this one." Jeongguk said without even looking at Liv.
"Well I guess she likes to see us suffer. I heard we have to study sound waves interacting at a quantum level for this one." Liv said, she was excited , her love for physics was more than her hate for Jeongguk.
"Oh there you are" Professor Hooke said as soon as her eyes landed on the duo.
" Now I need your help with this, I've been studying effect of sound waves on quantum particles for a while .The goal is to explore the intersection of quantum physics and acoustics." She said while looking at the setup carefully.
" Acoustics?"
"Interesting"
Liv and Jeongguk said at the same time.
"Yes, who knows, maybe it is a getaway from this world?" She said to both of you.
"But Professor-" Hooke's ringing of phone stopped Liv midway, she went outside to receive the call.
"Getaway from this world? What does she mean?" Jeongguk asked looking at you.
"I don't know," Liv answered frowning while looking outside where her professor went.
"Guys, I got an urgent call from the dean,I have to go, and I won't be back for another thirty minutes, but you guys go ahead and try new frequencies, who knows, you might succeed in escaping?" Professor patted your backs, and just like that, she went away in a hurry.
You glanced at the resonance chamber set-up in between with various adjustable panels.
"Should we try different frequencies?" Liv asked, looking at the chamber.
As the experiment began, Jeongguk adjusted the frequency generator, while Liv monitored the quantum particles in the chamber. The room filled with the hum of controlled vibrations as Jeongguk rang the turing fork.
Suddenly, an unexpected resonance echoed, a faint green glow was created in the center. Both of their eyes widened, and they looked at each other as the indication to keep going.
The vibrations became louder, and the green light seemed to stretch and elongate. Both of them found themselves drawn to it, as if a mysterious energy was calling them, the laboratory seemed to blur, and in an instant, they found themselves on a ground, the scene in front of them was bizarre.
Jeongguk blinked in astonishment, "Where... where are we?" he whispered.
Liv reached out to touch a nearby flower. As her fingers brushed against the petals, the blossom emitted a delicate note, adding to the symphony that surrounded them. "I don't know," she said, equally captivated.
Both of them stood up and started to walk; as they took their first step, the ground beneath them, which was once soft, created a note.
"Jeongguk, I think this place responds to our every moment. It's like we're walking on a musical score." Liv, though she was confused, a fragment of excitement was formed in her. "Liv, is that what Hooke meant?"
The realization kicked in,both of them looked at each other with widened eyes, their expressions mirroring each other.
"Should we take a look around?" Liv suggested.
As both of them made their way towards what seemed like a small town, more like a village. The houses were almost of the same type. They could hear a woman singing opera, screaming her lungs out. She looked like those ancient French people, with white long wavy hair and a beautiful voice and a more beautiful face. Both of them followed the voice; there were people gathered amorphously with their musical instruments in their hand, a lady was performing, behind her there was a piano playing by itself.
"Are we in another world?" Jeongguk said, Liv's thoughts. "Ain't no way a piano can play by itself on Earth."
"The goal is to explore the intersection of quantum physics and acoustics."
Her words were ringing in your ears. "Jeongguk, I think we created a frequency that resonated with this world and caused a portal to open." Liv said, still as confused as she was when she first landed here.
"Does this prove the parallel universe theory? An electron can be distributed, so a version of us is still on Earth?" Jeongguk's voice laced with uncertainty.
"But-"
"Fortissimo! I see young love here," The woman's voice laced with enthusiasm as she eyes them both.
"Is she looking at us?"
"Why is she coming here?"
"How the heck would I know?"
"Are you new here, my dear?" She made her way to them, mic still in her hand.
"Technically, we are not-"
"Would you like to sing, young boy?" She said amiably as she patted Jeongguk's boy.
"What is your name?" She asked him, Liv was holding her laughter because Jeongguk's expression was priceless.
"J-Jeongguk," He replied, overwhelmed by the attention he was getting.
"Maestro and Maestra! A musical tapestry awaits your senses, this boy Jeongguk is going to sing for us."
"Go, Jungkook." Liv said controlling her laugh, the happiest person in the world (not this one) was Liv right now.
Jeongguk just gave her a are-you-for-real expression and just went on the stage.
He gazed upon the expectant audience, every pair of eyes eagerly anticipating the moment when he would unfurl his melodic prowess and grace them with his song.
He started singing, and everyone was surprised by his melodic voice. It was a new song, a different tune, but somehow, everyone felt connected through his singing. Liv here was stunned, how can a man be good at everything? This was the first time Liv saw Jeongguk singing, her laughter long faded, she couldn't blink, hypnotized by his voice. Seeing him sing like that made her giddy from the inside.
She caught the woman next to her, the one cheering Jeongguk on, giving a round of applause. Turns out, her name was Harmony Groove.
As he finished his work, he thanked the audience who were clapping appreciatively, he made his way towards Liv, her lips making a crescent, mirroring Jeongguk's smile.
"Let's get the fuck out of here, I can't socialize more," Jeongguk whispered as he lowered his head to match Liv's height.
Liv let out a giggle as she nodded. "Mrs. Groove, It was lovely meeting you, I'm afraid we have to leave now."
"Oh dear, I would love if you stayed longer, how come I've never seen you before?" She said in a motherly tone.
"We are actually from-"
"We are from another town, just came to visit for leisure." Liv cut Jeongguk's sentence at the speed of light with a fake smile.
"Oh Darling it would be an absolute pleasure if you two have dinner at our place, are you fine with that?" She asked expectantly.
Liv would trade Jeongguk for food, and vice versa.
"We'd love to," She said with a smile, Liv started to adore this lovely lady.
"Lovely ! let me call my daughter first." She said looking in the crowd now " Octava ! Come here darling." She shouted motioning her hands to her daughter.
"Yes mother?" A young girl who seemed to be a late-teen came running towards her.
"Will you escort our guests to our house; I invited them for dinner."
----------------------------------------------------
"You guys are not from here, are you?" Octava said, breaking the awkward silence.
Three of you were walking on a piano-like road, making your way towards Ms. Groove's place.
"W-what makes you say so?" Liv's voice laced with hesitance.
"You guys don't look very accustomed to this scenario."
"Yeah, one second we were surrounded by scientific equipments, carrying out an experiment, and the next second, we are here," Jeongguk said as if he was keeping it in his stomach for centuries.
Octava let out a laugh. She didn't seem very surprised.
"I knew about it. I tried making a signal a few years back, but the door I made wasn't very big. I attempted thousands of times after that, but let me tell you, it's not as simple as it seems," Octava said.
"Our world is called Symphoria. This is celestia galaxy. Our planet means 'The magical 'Symphony' which makes you feel 'euphoric,' " Octava said proudly, which made you and Jeongguk smile.
"So, you like science too?" Jeongguk asked Octava. "I do, science and physics unlock the secrets of our world, turning questions into thrilling discoveries. It's the adventure of understanding how everything works!"
"I know, there is so much to discover, and things we know aren't even one percent of what the universe is," Liv said.
No matter where you're from, science and music are like the cool connectors that bring people together.
After the delicious meal, Ms. Groove learned that you are from a different planet, called Earth. Octava mentioned that she read in her science book about your planet, for them it still had 85% water and 15% land. So for them Earth was still forming, this planet was millions of light years away.
Mrs. Groove was kind enough to let you stay on the upper floor of their house, luckily they had a spare room.
"As much as I love this place, I would love to go back where we belong," Jeongguk said looking out of the window of his room.
"I know, I'm sure Octava knows a way to go back," Liv replied walking towards the bed.
"I will take the couch, you can take the bed." He said; it was very kind of him to say that.
"We can share, I don't mind unless you want to..." Liv said with a bit of uncertainty.
"Alright."
------------------------------------------------------
Both of them couldn't sleep, how can they when they know that they are breathing on another planet, another galaxy, another universe millions of light years away.
Liv turned to the other side; Jeongguk's back facing her.
"Jeongguk?" Liv whispered. "Hmm?" Jeongguk said turning to the other side.
"Does that mean we discovered a wormhole?" Liv asked Jeongguk, she knew that was the only answer. The intersection of black holes and white holes, which can make you travel to a different galaxy, in much lesser time.
"But they are thermodynamically impossible," Jeongguk replied.
"I know but, even if certain laws are stated, there will always be something that defies it," Liv replied.
Jeongguk placed his hand on her cheek, her eyes widened at the sudden contact. "Let us think about it tomorrow okay? Get some rest now."
Liv looked at him, suppressing her astonishment, none of them breaking the eye contact.
Until Jeongguk finally came into senses, took his hand back, his cheeks flushed. Same with Liv, she cleared her throat to release the awkward tension surrounding them. "I always adored singing, you know," Jeongguk said out of the blue.
Liv was looking at him, her eyes telling him to go on, she was willing to listen, willing to listen to his life story, what secrets his galaxy-like eyes held in them.
"I used to sing with my Grandpa when I was young. He passed away when I was eleven. It broke me so much that I thought I don't have the courage to sing again. Until today, when I saw people's anticipation before I started to sing, it reminded me so much of him." Liv could see a tear running down his cheek.
"You know death isn't real. Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed, so he never left. When one ends life, only make space for other forms of life. All carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, and other elements that build human beings and any other life on Earth, do not change in the moment of death. Nothing happens. The same elements will be used to build another form of life very soon. He is just in another form," Liv said.
All Jeongguk did was laugh a little. "Thank you for scientifically comforting me."
"I-I am sorry, I don't know how to comfort someone properly," Liv said timidly.
"E-Even if I'm not good at comforting, I'm good at listening, you can talk to me whenever you want to." Liv said, looking at him dead serious. A part inside of her was thankful that someone trusted her enough to share these things with her.
"I have to say I'm surprised. I thought you hated me," Jeongguk spoke his mind.
"Not really, I was just jealous that you were good at studies while simultaneously being good at everything. When I'm just good at academics, I don't know anything else other than that," Liv confessed. "I was very immature back then, and this part of mine stayed with me till now, but right now I feel none of that. I am very grateful to have a friend like you," Liv said, finally releasing all the insecurities and jealousy.
"Of course, I will teach you soccer someday. We can also go to karaoke," Jeongguk suggested.
"I would love to do that."
In the symphony of life, my 24-hour plan hit a surprising crescendo – from 'I got this' to 'Wait, Symphoria, portals, and harmonizing escapes? Now that's a plot twist no one saw coming!
(I did)
-----------------------------------------------------
The next morning, Liv found a note on the living room table.
Dear Liv and Jeongguk,
I know you want to go back to Earth, but there's only one way to escape, The Harmonic maze.
Quick heads-up about the maze – it's tricky! I've tried to crack the code, but no luck. The deal is, you gotta create a harmony to get through. I haven't nailed down the exact notes, but I think your teamwork and connection with Symphoria can unlock it.
My grandparents are suddenly sick, so my mom and I had to leave earlier this morning,we didn't want to wake you up.
Trust the music, trust each other. Your blend of melodies might just be the key to rockin' through that maze. Enjoy the musical adventure!
Mother says 'good luck!'
In Harmony,
Octava.
"Jeongguk, look at this!" Liv said, making her way towards him.
Jeongguk read the letter, there was the address of the maze on the backside of the paper.
----------------------------------------------------------
(consider this as the map of the maze)
Liv and Jeongguk reached the so-called harmonic maze. It felt like this was a never-ending maze.
Liv made sure to write a note back to Octava and Mrs.Groove.
"You trust me, right?" Jeongguk asked, looking down at Liv. She nodded with a smile. He took hold of her hand as they both entered the labyrinth, ready to face all the challenges, all the hurdles. Liv never felt so comfortable and secured with anyone till now.
For hours they wandered, here and there, yet they couldn't crack the code. They were sure there was a catch. There were musical instruments playing by themselves in between the maze.
"Liv! Thermodynamics! Heat makes air go up!" Jeongguk said, looking at Liv. His eyes depicting hope. "Let us warm our hands," Liv suggested, and they started rubbing their hands until they got warm, and they touched the walls, and the subtle change of temperature made some parts of the walls disappear, which created secret paths they couldn't see before.
"We did it! We did it, Jeongguk!" Both of you were so happy, and you hugged each other so tightly as if your world depended on it. Until realization kicked in, and both of you pulled away. "Let's go," Jeongguk said as both of them made their way until they reached a point where they could hear a familiar music, a familiar harmony.
"Is that... music?" Jeongguk asked. "Wait, it's not just any music. It's like Symphoria is singing a response to us."
They start moving around, searching for the source of the melody.
"Come here, it's getting stronger," Jeongguk called Liv.
As they stand in the magical spot, the melody intensifies, creating a warm, glowing aura around them.
"It's like, this spot is resonating with us. This spot... it's reacting to us. Our movements, our voices, everything!" Liv says.
"This could be the key to open the portal, Liv. Sing with me," Jeongguk said, smiling.
As both of them start to harmonize, a familiar green light appears, they look at each other but don't stop harmonizing.
As the green light broadens again, they get pulled by the energy.
As they open their eyes, they find themselves back in the familiar surroundings of the college lab.
"Wait, did we-"
"We did!" Jeongguk exclaimed in joy.
"What the hell did we just do...?" Liv was still in denial.
"I'm glad I got to do it with you," Jeongguk said to Liv, making her blush.
"Yeah, I can't imagine doing it with anyone else but you," Liv admitted timidly.
"Do what with him?" Professor Hooke said as she entered the lab.
Both of them looked at their professor in shock; she was still in the same clothes when she left.
"Did you guys not start yet?" She said, looking at the unchanged setup. So that means,
It was the same day when they left, One day is Symphoria is 30 minutes here on Earth?
Both of them had the same thoughts.
The faster you go, the slower time passes - The theory of General Relativity.
Liv and Jeongguk exchanged a knowing smile.
"We did, it worked perfectly." Liv said smiling, which seemed pretty creepy to her professor.she looked at them in confusion until she realized what she meant that made her widen her eyes.
"Wait did you-"
"We will give you all the thesis by tomorrow; see you, professor." Liv said as she and Jeongguk headed outside together, leaving Professor Hooke confused.
"I don't think so I can attend today's lectures, I'm jetlagged." Liv joked.
"Fuck, do you think Einstein stumbled upon some alternate universe that got his brain gears cranking for relativity?" Jeongguk asked Liv as they made their way out of the university.
"I don't know, all I know is I need a good 15-hour nap." Liv said, her eyes almost closing.
"But hey, it was the best adventure I had. " He grinned as she nodded.
"Jeongguk?"
"Hmm?"
"Are you free this weekend?"
"Uh...Yes?" He replied, being all giddy from the inside.
"There is this new Japanese restaurant in 5th ave, want to go try their food?"
"I'd love to."
THE END

PART ONE
Naya inhaled the humid air, a smile forming on her lips as she glanced at the picturesque view of the coast through the balcony of her hotel room as her hands held the railing. Her heart felt giddy like it could erupt any minute. And why not, after all, she was on her dream summer getaway with her sister, whom she hadn’t met for quite some time. Staying alone at home wasn’t doing much of a favor for her, and she wanted to spice up her life before she began college in the upcoming fall.
Her older sister had been accepted into the prestigious Miami university a couple of years back, and had moved there. Hence aware of her little sister’s beach obsession and in need of a vacation herself, she aimed to book a hotel in the tropical paradise and spend some quality time together to make up for the missed days.
Stretching her body as a yawn escaped her lips, Naya realized she desperately craved a little swim before her sister came back from her restaurant-hunting expedition, especially with how blissfully blue the water looked. Buckling her sandals, she sprinted down to the lagoon, the footwear filling in with masses of grainy sand. Pulling out a band on her wrist, she gathered her hair and tied them up into a ponytail. As her hands were busy with the hairdo, the corner of her eye caught something rather interesting.
Or someone.
A colossal wave rose in the distance, carrying a relaxed surfer as he skillfully rode it, the pressure of the water curving above his head. He turned according to the rhythm of the magnificent waves, before he wiped out and swam back to the sandy shores with his surfboard. Naya could see his face clearly. The male ran a hand through his wet dark hair as he ruffled them, splashing out the excess water on the dry gravel. His bare sun-kissed skin shone in the pleasant sunlight as water dripped down his athletic body. He shoved his dark strands out of his face as he whipped his head in her direction.
Horrified, Naya turned away in a flash of a second, glancing upwards at the colorful fleet of exotic birds flying.
“Excuse me?” A raspy voice called out from beside her as she glanced at the source. It was the surfer guy, now standing inches away from her.
“Oh, uh yes?” Naya answered in a slightly trembling voice, for which she wanted to kick herself.
“I haven’t seen you around before.”
He stated, a cordial smile crawling up his face.
“Oh, me and my sister are here for the summer vacation.” Naya smiled as she replied, trying to calm her giddy heart down. It was at that moment where she focused on how bewitching his eyes were as he looked into hers.
“I see…” He clamped the surfboard under his arm. “I’m Eric, by the way.” His gaze landed on Naya, eyes not breaking the contact.
“Naya.” She answered, glancing at the alluring man before her as they gazed at each other. Everything seemed to halt. What seemed like minutes was actually seconds, as the two held their irresistible stares, when suddenly, her sister Lia’s voice echoed through the breezy air.
“Naya, come on, time for dinner!”
Eric lightly clicked his tongue, a hand brushing the side of his neck. “Well then, catch you around, Naya.” He remarked as he shot her a wink before taking off in their direction.
There was something so enthralling about Mr. Surfer that she couldn’t explain, as pink color rushed to her face as she inhaled a deep breath, lips curving into a grin. “You too.”
In the evening, Naya laid on the couch, overlooking the balcony which showed off the breathtaking Miami night sky. Lights from stalls illuminated the seaside, which now looked rather peaceful, accompanied with the bustling city view in the far distance.
However, she didn’t pay any attention to the scenery or the stalls, as the one and only Eric devoured her mind. Her finger twirled a bunch of hair strands as she recalled the little interaction with him.
“So you’ve made a friend, huh?” Her sister asks, raising her brows and showcasing her interest in the interaction at the beach. Naya gasped, her mind flashing her soul back to reality as she cleared her throat. “Yeah. I did.” She replied, to which her sister nodded, her eyes fixed on her phone as she messaged her friends. Naya grabbed the plate of fish tacos, shoving a big morsel in her mouth.
“You know…” The older began, as Naya glanced over at her, her brows furrowing slightly. “… it’s a good accomplishment for someone who barely steps foot outside the house.”
Naya choked on the spicy seasoning as Lia patted her back, offering a glass of water, which she promptly accepted, chugging it down her burning throat.
“Calm down dude.”
Naya nodded profusely, her mind drifting off to dreamland again when her sister’s voice interrupted. “The beach is stunning at night, you know, Naya. You should go down and see.”
