My friend and I both wonder this, does Wylie call Tiergan 'dad'? bc I know he calls Prentice dad, like I imagine a convo between him and Sophie or Linh (or anyone really) and he's just like

"So my dad-" and he gets cut off by "which one?"

What if Prentice was originally on the collective and after he was exiled Tiergan took his place?

Because they always talk about how important Prentice was to the Black Swan, so much so that he seems like he was even more important than Tiergan. And also that would add to the angst of the situation.

there’s something so weirdly tragic about how prentice was a keeper yet he recognized how him and tiergan were cognates and would have done the work to get a good connection

while tiergan who is not a keeper was too scared of telling prentice a secret that he didn’t even realize their connection until it was too late
