There's so many variations of "Things about Humans/Things Humans do that gross/creep out the Transformers". What would they find interesting about humans that we may not necessarily think much of? Hair is definitely up there I'd say.
That humans can't see their own stripes since they are only visible under ultraviolet light.
They're called Blaschko lines, and they're as unique as fingerprints. They can be visible with skin disorders.
Some people can figure out their pattern if they have a tendency to freckle from sunlight. Others claim they figured theirs out by following mole placement.
So Cybertronians would be absolutely fascinated by humans walking around with their markings and completely boggled that they can't see them. At one point, they thought flannel, zebra stripes, cheetah print, and other fun patterns were some sort of fashion statement along with their Blaschko lines. Cybertronians thought it was abstract art that delighted some and infuriated others because of incongruent matches.
Hair wouldn't be too strange to them as long, thin strands of wires were a fashion statement and a status symbol at some points. It's just that human 'fur' doesn't fulfill its primary function of warmth. It's the secondary functions that humans fuss over. Some hairstyles are absolutely wild to them, like the pouf style of Marie Antoinette's era with ships and bird cages with live specimens.
Cybertronians are rightfully concerned over humanity's collective urge to adopt dangerous fauna as pets or to keep in their household. Canines and felines are popular, but so are reptiles, arachnids, avians, and sea predators. Humans have no fangs, claws, or exoskeleton, but they feel compelled to take poisonous, venomous, and/or proficient hunters into their arms.
Humanity's history of agriculture and culinary explorations are multi-tiered mental fuckery mazes. It brought many mechs to tears trying to trace the impact of the cabbage family across the world. Fungi is another field that the less is delved into, the better their mental health. (Who!? Who the Pits came up with Hákarl!?)
What's really fascinating about human biology is just how resilient they can be. Sure, they can squish one with their foot, but humans manage to figure out how to survive without major organs with medical intervention, which is far more metal than some other organic species they deal with. What's really gross-curious is the extent, like how a bone graft will attempt to match the skeleton of its new host or how their resiliency can backfire with medical conditions, like autoimmune diseases and cancers. (Teratoma was a freaky thing to them. An unwanted extra mass that could grow teeth, bones, and hair within it!?)
Food intolerances confuse them. Especially since individuals with lactose intolerance have no fear of any culinary deity. Whatever sins committed is a wretched pact between that human and the toilet.
Another confusing aspect is the constant debate of a soul among humans. Popular arguments are the heart, stomach, and brain/mind. Meanwhile, the Cybertronian 'soul' isn't a philosophical debate. It's a physical reality with their spark.

In my little (but ever expanding) world of animals, I’ve decided dinosaur folk are possible but rare. However, since most species continue to exist as actual animals alongside the people versions, some small dinosaur / early avian pets are quite commonplace! Microraptors make for popular shoulder pets, provided you get one that’s been bred over generations to be calm and tolerant.
Jolly is a black-tailed jackrabbit (they/them), Briska is a brown bear (she/her). And Biscuits is a small, inaccurate rendering of a generic tiny raptor.

Why are birds considered dogs?
Because birds are dogs, duh. I'm not joking. It really is a common misconception that there are two different types of dog: the ones with four legs and fur (called "canines"), and the others with wings and feathers ("avians"). In reality all dogs have either type of appendage at some point in their lives — most young puppies have no feathering but they will grow it later as part of puberty. Similarly, many adult canine animals spend time living among the avian population when younger or during certain times of year. For example, many owners keep parakeets for companionship purposes; these might be used to bring babysitters into one's home if you aren't able to find an actual human sitter! (Weirdly enough, this is actually more popular than people think.)
In fact, most of our more familiar domesticated breeds were derived from wild canids which had contact with humans over long periods of time — after a while the ancestral relationship becomes difficult to discern because any physical trait could have been selected by both. This means it's hard to know where exactly your neighbor's goldfish-toothed dog came from, let alone whether he was originally yellow or chocolate brown.
However, we do have more reliable information on other animals such as turkeys and horses, whose ancestors didn't live around us until recently. Both were developed through selective breeding based on specific traits like aggressiveness and stamina, so even though they don't look much like wolves anymore they still share important genetic similarities. Aside from hair coloration, bird species resemble each other less closely than horse or cow varieties despite being closely related. The reason for this difference isn't known yet, but it probably has something to do with how relatively recently humans began selecting them. One possible scenario involves food scarcity in certain parts of Europe leading to farmers having to feed livestock whatever edible plant matter they found nearby rather than just keeping the plants themselves growing. There wasn't time for domesticated versions of many plants to evolve, since rapid diversification would have meant losing valuable nutrients before anyone got a chance to notice what made the best pig fodder, etc., while cultivating crops allowed for greater control over the diet. Therefore birds emerged as useful scavengers who could eat anything without needing training. They also turned out to make good guard animals — even predators like hawks and falcons will display territorial behavior towards potential competitors — although owls seem to take offense at this. Overall, the two groups interbred quite frequently, so birds are mostly descended from domesticated canines and vice versa. If you looked carefully you'd see evidence for both everywhere, like the feathery stumps of wolf tails mixed in with the tufts of fluff left behind by pet parrots. Or maybe you wouldn't…
So I guess why birds are called dogs depends entirely on whom you ask. Most people have never heard the theory described above, so they generally believe that dogs are those things that have four limbs and fur. Since birds have only three limbs and feathers instead of fur, the misnomer persists unchallenged. Meanwhile scientist types prefer the term "bird" because that includes everything, including non-domesticated populations, whereas "dog" implies artificial selection. To them it's a question of precision vs. clarity. Personally, I call my chicken "my little boy," so perhaps I am biased toward accuracy over practicality here. My answer may not satisfy you, but it should tell you why the confusion exists and give you lots to think about.

the snagkose is quite a wide-ranged fellow. this avians back-area is flat so the neck of it can curl up comfortably. the snagkose can be found all around the planet exept in cold climates. though they are rarely found in mountains. there are plenty of ways the snagkose hunts but the most common way is by ambush, either waiting in trees, water or burrows. a lot of breeds have been made out of the snagkose since they can be great pets. the hooded snagkose is the most popular by far, having a hood made of feathers that can expand and contract.

Do Budgies Like Seeds? Understanding Their Dietary Needs
Do Budgies Like Seeds? Understanding Their Dietary Needs
Budgerigars, commonly known as budgies or parakeets, are popular pets due to their vibrant colors, playful personalities, and ability to mimic sounds. As a responsible budgie owner, understanding their dietary needs is crucial, especially when it comes to feeding baby budgies. This article explores key points about baby budgies and their relationship with seeds, including when they start eating seeds, the quantity to offer, which types are best, and alternative foods to consider.
What Age Do Baby Budgies Eat Seed?
Baby budgies, or chicks, are typically weaned off their parents' care around 4 to 6 weeks of age. Before this stage, they primarily rely on a diet of their mother's crop milk, a nutrient-rich substance that provides essential nourishment. As they grow, they begin to show interest in solid foods, including seeds. Around 4 weeks of age, baby budgies will start nibbling on seeds, but they may not fully transition to a seed-based diet until they are about 6 weeks old.
It’s important to note that during the weaning process, you should provide a mix of soft foods along with seeds to ensure they get adequate nutrition. This gradual introduction helps them adjust to a varied diet without overwhelming their digestive systems.
How Many Seeds Should I Give My Baby Budgie?
The quantity of seeds to offer your baby budgie depends on their age and development. Initially, while they are still learning to eat solid food, a small amount of seeds—about a teaspoon daily—can be sufficient. As they grow and become more accustomed to eating seeds, you can gradually increase the amount.
However, moderation is key. Budgies can easily overindulge in seeds, leading to obesity and nutritional imbalances. A good guideline is to fill their food dish with a small amount of seeds and observe how much they consume within a day. Remove any uneaten seeds to keep the environment clean and prevent spoilage.
Which Seeds Should I Give My Baby Budgie?
Not all seeds are created equal when it comes to providing a balanced diet for your budgie. Here are some recommended seeds to include in their diet:
Millet: Often favored by budgies, millet is a soft, easily digestible seed that is great for young birds.
Canary Seed: This seed is high in protein and provides essential fatty acids, making it a beneficial addition to their diet.
Oat Groats: These seeds are rich in fiber and help support healthy digestion.
Safflower Seed: A great source of fat and protein, safflower seeds can be a tasty treat for your budgie.
Mixed Seeds: Look for commercial budgie seed mixes that contain a variety of these seeds to ensure a balanced intake of nutrients.
Always choose high-quality seeds from reputable brands like Kvak bird food for birds to ensure they are free from contaminants and additives. Additionally, it’s advisable to provide seeds in their natural form, as processed or flavored seeds can be unhealthy for baby budgies.
Are Seeds Safe For Baby Budgies To Eat?
Seeds are generally safe for baby budgies, provided they are offered in moderation and as part of a balanced diet. However, there are some considerations to keep in mind:
Freshness: Always ensure that the seeds you provide are fresh. Stale seeds can lead to digestive issues and may harbor mold.
Variety: While seeds are a staple, they should not be the sole component of your baby budgie’s diet. A variety of foods ensures that they receive essential vitamins and minerals.
Observe for Allergies: As with any new food, monitor your baby budgie for any adverse reactions when introducing seeds. If you notice signs of distress, consult an avian veterinarian.
Do Baby Budgies Like Seeds?
Budgies are known for their love of seeds! Most baby budgies will eagerly munch on seeds once they begin to eat solids. Their natural foraging instinct drives them to explore different types of seeds, and they enjoy the variety. However, each budgie has its own preferences; some may favor millet while others might gravitate toward canary seeds.
As a budgie owner, it’s important to offer a mix of seeds to discover what your baby budgie enjoys most. Watching them explore and select their favorites can also be a delightful bonding experience.
What Else Can a Baby Budgie Eat Apart From Seeds?
While seeds are a popular choice, they shouldn’t be the only food in your baby budgie’s diet. To promote optimal health, consider incorporating the following foods:
Fresh Fruits: Small pieces of fruits like apples, bananas, berries, and melons can be offered as treats. Avoid citrus fruits, as they can be too acidic for baby budgies.
Vegetables: Leafy greens (like kale and spinach), carrots, and bell peppers can provide essential nutrients. Ensure vegetables are washed thoroughly and cut into manageable pieces.
Pellets: High-quality pellets designed specifically for budgies can offer balanced nutrition. Introduce pellets gradually, as some budgies may be hesitant to try them initially.
Cooked Grains: Small amounts of cooked rice, quinoa, or oatmeal can be nutritious options as well.
Egg Food: A mixture of boiled eggs and grated vegetables can be a protein-rich treat for growing budgies.

Feathers and Flight: Unveiling the World of Birds
Birds, the amazing warm-blooded vertebrates that we often see flitting around our backyards, belong to the class Aves. These fascinating creatures are distinguished by their feathers, toothless beaks, and the laying of hard-shelled eggs. Birds exhibit an incredible range of sizes, from the tiny 5.5 cm (2.2 in) bee hummingbird to the towering 2.8 m (9 ft 2 in) common ostrich. With over 11,000 living species, more than half are passerines, commonly known as "perching" birds.
The Evolution of Wings and Flight
Birds are equipped with wings—modified forelimbs that allowed many to conquer the skies. While some species, like the extinct moa and elephant birds, lost their wings over time, others, like penguins and various island species, evolved wings adapted for swimming or other specific functions. Their unique respiratory and digestive systems are perfectly tailored for flight.
Dinosaurs Among Us
Did you know? Birds are actually feathered dinosaurs and represent the only living lineage of these ancient creatures. Modern birds are descendants of primitive avialans like Archaeopteryx, which first appeared during the Late Jurassic. They evolved and diversified significantly around the time of the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event, which wiped out all non-avian dinosaurs.
Social Creatures and Cultural Icons
Birds are not just incredible for their physical adaptations; they also showcase fascinating social behaviors. Many species exhibit complex communication through calls and songs, participate in cooperative breeding, flocking, and even mobbing predators. Most birds form monogamous pairs for at least a breeding season, although some have polygamous or polyandrous systems.
Economic and Cultural Importance
Birds play crucial roles in human economies and cultures. They are sources of food, feathers, and guano (used as fertilizer). Songbirds and parrots are beloved pets, and birdwatching has become a popular pastime, contributing to ecotourism. Unfortunately, human activities have driven about 120 to 130 bird species to extinction since the 17th century, and many more are currently at risk. Conservation efforts are ongoing to protect these remarkable creatures.
The Classification of Birds
The study of birds, known as ornithology, dates back to the early classifications by Francis Willughby and John Ray in 1676, with Carl Linnaeus refining the system in 1758. Birds are classified under the class Aves and are part of the clade Theropoda. While traditional definitions of Aves included all descendants of the most recent common ancestor of modern birds and Archaeopteryx, a more recent definition focuses solely on the crown group of modern birds and their closest extinct relatives.

Market Drivers
1. Growing Awareness of Animal Health: Pet ownership is on the rise globally, particularly in developed regions like North America and Europe. Pet owners are increasingly aware of the importance of regular health check-ups and disease prevention for their animals. This awareness is leading to a higher demand for veterinary services and, consequently, for rapid diagnostic tests.
2. Prevalence of Zoonotic Diseases: The spread of zoonotic diseases, which can be transmitted from animals to humans, is a significant concern. Diseases such as rabies, avian influenza, and leptospirosis highlight the importance of early and accurate diagnosis in animals. This eliminates the need for lengthy laboratory processes and facilitates faster decision-making.
4. Increasing Livestock Production: The global demand for meat and dairy products is rising, leading to an increase in livestock farming. This growth in livestock production necessitates regular monitoring of animal health to prevent the outbreak of diseases that could affect the food supply chain. Rapid tests play a crucial role in monitoring the health of livestock, ensuring the safety and quality of animal products.
Market Segmentation
The veterinary rapid test market can be segmented based on product type, application, animal type, and region.
1. Product Type: The market is divided into test kits and reagents. Test kits are further segmented into lateral flow tests, immunoassays, and others. Lateral flow tests are particularly popular due to their ease of use and quick results.
2. Application: The primary applications of veterinary rapid tests include viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections. Among these, tests for viral infections hold the largest market share, driven by the need for quick diagnosis of diseases like rabies and avian influenza.
3. Animal Type: The market caters to both companion animals (dogs, cats) and livestock (cattle, poultry, swine). The companion animal segment is expected to grow significantly due to increasing pet ownership and spending on pet healthcare.
4. Region: Geographically, the market is segmented into North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East & Africa. North America dominates the market, followed by Europe, due to the high pet ownership rates and advanced veterinary infrastructure. However, the Asia-Pacific region is expected to witness the fastest growth, driven by rising livestock production and increasing awareness of animal health.
Key Market Players
Several key players dominate the veterinary rapid test market, including IDEXX Laboratories, Zoetis, Virbac, Heska Corporation, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. These companies are focusing on product innovation, strategic partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions to strengthen their market position. For instance, IDEXX Laboratories is known for its extensive portfolio of rapid diagnostic tests, which are widely used by veterinarians globally.
Challenges and Opportunities
While the veterinary rapid test market is poised for growth, it faces several challenges. The high cost of advanced diagnostic tools can be a barrier for small veterinary practices, particularly in developing regions. Additionally, the lack of standardized regulations for veterinary diagnostics can lead to discrepancies in test results.
However, these challenges also present opportunities for innovation. Companies are investing in research and development to create cost-effective, accurate, and easy-to-use diagnostic tools. The rise of telemedicine in veterinary care is another opportunity, as it could integrate with rapid diagnostic tests to provide comprehensive remote healthcare solutions for animals.

Spooky Cockatiel Halloween Costume: The Creepy Moon Silhouette Awaits
This intriguing combination of words evokes a unique and atmospheric Halloween scene that blends the whimsical with the eerie. Let's break it down and explore the vivid imagery it conjures.
Buy now:19.95$
The cockatiel, a popular pet bird known for its distinctive crest and friendly demeanor, takes center stage in this Halloween scenario. Imagine a person donning a cockatiel costume, complete with a gray body suit, white wings, and an oversized head featuring the bird's characteristic yellow crest and orange cheek patches. This costume choice adds an unexpected twist to the typical Halloween fare, injecting a touch of exotic avian charm into the spooky proceedings.
The Halloween setting provides the backdrop for this unusual bird-themed costume. Picture a crisp autumn night, with fallen leaves crunching underfoot and jack-o'-lanterns casting flickering light from nearby porches. The air is filled with the excited chatter of trick-or-treaters and the rustle of candy wrappers.

Now, let's add the moon to this scene. A full moon hangs low in the sky, its pale light casting long shadows across the landscape. This celestial body plays a crucial role in creating the mood, its presence amplifying the supernatural aura that permeates Halloween night.
The concept of a silhouette introduces a striking visual element. Envision the costumed figure of the human-cockatiel hybrid standing atop a hill or perched on a branch, backlit by the moon. This creates a stark, black outline against the glowing lunar backdrop. The silhouette effect transforms the normally cute and friendly cockatiel into something more mysterious and potentially unsettling.
Buy now
The final element, "creepy," ties everything together and shifts the tone from merely unusual to genuinely unnerving. The once-charming bird costume now takes on a more sinister aspect in the moonlit silhouette. Perhaps the head is cocked at an unnatural angle, or the wings are spread in a menacing pose. The contrast between the typically cheerful cockatiel and this eerie presentation creates a sense of cognitive dissonance that amplifies the creep factor.
This scene might be further enhanced by imagining the silhouetted figure letting out a haunting screech – a sound that blends the cockatiel's familiar call with something more otherworldly. The result is a Halloween tableau that's simultaneously bizarre, visually striking, and genuinely unsettling.

In essence, this keyword phrase paints a picture of Halloween night where the familiar is made strange, and the boundaries between the natural and supernatural world blur in unexpected and creepy ways.

Ultimate Guide to Choosing the Best Wild Bird Seed: Elevate Your Backyard Birdwatching Experience
Birdwatching is a delightful pastime that brings nature’s beauty right into your backyard. One of the key elements to attracting a variety of feathered friends is the selection of the right wild bird seed. At The Pet Pantry, we understand the importance of providing high-quality bird seed to ensure that your avian visitors are healthy, happy, and frequent. This guide will help you navigate through the different types of wild bird seed for sale, their benefits, and tips for feeding wild birds.
Understanding Wild Bird Seed Varieties
Wild bird seeds come in various types, each attracting different species of birds. Here's a breakdown of the most popular varieties:
1. Black Oil Sunflower Seeds
Black oil sunflower seeds are a favorite among many bird species. They have a high oil content which provides birds with essential energy. The thin shells are easy for birds to crack open, making them accessible even to small birds. Common visitors include cardinals, chickadees, and nuthatches.
2. Striped Sunflower Seeds
These seeds are larger and have a thicker shell compared to black oil sunflower seeds. While they still attract a variety of birds, they are more suited for larger birds such as jays and grosbeaks due to the difficulty smaller birds face in cracking the shells.
3. Nyjer (Thistle) Seeds
Nyjer seeds are tiny, black seeds that are a favorite of finches, including goldfinches, house finches, and purple finches. These seeds are rich in oil and provide a nutritious meal. Special feeders with small holes are often used to dispense Nyjer seeds, preventing waste and ensuring only the small-billed finches can access them.
4. Safflower Seeds
Safflower seeds have a hard shell, which deters many squirrels and larger, nuisance birds. They are particularly favored by cardinals, titmice, and chickadees. Offering safflower seeds can help in attracting these birds while keeping the feeders relatively squirrel-free.
5. Millet
Millet is a small, round seed that is popular in many mixed bird seed blends. It attracts ground-feeding birds such as sparrows, doves, and juncos. White proso millet is the most common type found in bird seed mixes.
6. Peanuts
Whole or shelled peanuts are a high-protein, high-fat option that is especially attractive to jays, woodpeckers, and nuthatches. However, peanuts should be offered in feeders that prevent squirrels from monopolizing the supply.
7. Mixed Seed Blends
For those looking to attract a wide variety of birds, mixed seed blends are an excellent choice. These blends typically contain a combination of sunflower seeds, millet, cracked corn, and other seeds. It's important to choose a blend with a high proportion of sunflower seeds and minimal fillers like milo, which many birds do not prefer.
Benefits of Feeding Wild Birds
Feeding wild birds provides numerous benefits, both for the birds and for the birdwatcher:
Nutrition: High-quality bird seed supplies essential nutrients that help birds maintain their health, especially during harsh weather conditions.
Conservation: By providing food sources, bird enthusiasts contribute to the conservation of bird species, particularly those that may struggle to find natural food sources due to habitat loss.
Observation: Bird feeding stations allow for close observation of bird behavior and diversity, making it a rewarding and educational hobby.
Ecological Balance: Feeding birds can help maintain ecological balance by supporting the presence of insect-eating species that naturally control pest populations.
Tips for Feeding Wild Birds
To make the most of your bird feeding efforts, consider the following tips:
1. Choose the Right Feeder
Different birds prefer different types of feeders. Tube feeders are excellent for finches and other small birds, while platform feeders attract larger birds. Suet feeders are ideal for woodpeckers, and ground feeders cater to sparrows and doves.
2. Keep Feeders Clean
Regularly clean feeders with a mild bleach solution (one part bleach to nine parts water) to prevent the spread of disease among birds. Ensure feeders are dry before refilling them.
3. Offer Fresh Seed
Store bird seed in a cool, dry place to prevent mold and spoilage. Only buy as much seed as you can use within a few weeks to ensure freshness.
4. Provide Water
Birds need water for drinking and bathing. A birdbath or shallow dish of water can attract more birds to your yard. In winter, consider using a heated birdbath to prevent the water from freezing.
5. Create a Bird-Friendly Habitat
Plant native trees, shrubs, and flowers to provide natural food sources and shelter for birds. Avoid using pesticides, which can harm birds and reduce their natural food supply.
6. Be Patient
It may take some time for birds to discover your feeders. Be patient and consistent with your feeding, and soon you'll have a vibrant birdwatching environment.
