Love your troll anatomy headcanons!! Do you have any thoughts for glitter trolls? Are they considered a subspecies to pop trolls? And what about the bounty hunter trolls?

Thank you sm! as far as we are aware, in canon, glitter trolls have only been seen in the pop tribe; so, i would consider them to be a subtype of poptroll !

The Kpop trolls are obviously a subtype of pop/glitter, possibly with a mutated gene for glitter skin that makes it smooth and holographic. Smooth jazz probably originates from an old mixed tribe of classical, funk, and pop (which is why Chaz can fly, has curled hair that grows downward, and a similar body type to poptrolls). Yodelers and Country i’d think originate from a common ancestor i’ll call Folk trolls. Reggaeton probably originates from different tribes of funk + techno + pop + rock mixing, creating new genres that then also mixed, until eventually becoming Reggaeton (convoluted, i know).

The world is a large place, and i doubt all the genres really stayed completely separated all those years. the sub genres are born from breakaway tribes who probably mingled with other breakaway tribes, making all kinds of music and what not.

it’s very fun to come up with these, i welcome anyone to pitch in their ideas too 🙏🙌

Duncan insisted on helping with the soundcheck for the upcoming performers. Despite being a strong man for the mafia, the boy also has a profound passion for music, specifically playing the bass guitar. He adjusted the tuning in front of the stage, carefully making sure that every instrument was up and ready for the next performer to play. "Here’s the mic." He extended his hand to the lady towering over him while he sat busy, tinkering with the guitar until he looked up and saw a pretty girl. "Nice." He smirked, making a mental note that she was really pretty, before going back to whatever he was doing. "So… you’re the performer." He cleared his throat, shrugging his shoulders before giving her a look. "I hope you sing as good as you look. You're not up until…" Duncan looked at his watch to check the time. "Well, you got another hour with me. What's up?"

Glancing around the apartment living room, Poppy took it all in. While she wasn’t judging it by any means, hardly caring that it was quite different than the penthouse apartment she herself currently resided in, there was one thought that stuck out as she looked it over. “And how many people did you all invite to this party?” she asks, never really one to keep her thoughts to herself even when she probably should. “Are they all going to fit here?” The concern came from the fact that Poppy had never truly been to a real house or apartment based party before - where all the bodies were crammed together in a drunken mess. No, the only parties she had ever attended had always been hosted in big mansions or event halls made specifically to hold thousands upon thousands of people. And even when she did go out to packed clubs that could potentially be similar to this - she’d always been secluded to a private corner surrounded by bodyguards. The concept of being right up on top of everyone slammed together was a new one, and while it was a little bit intimidating - Poppy couldn’t help but also be beyond excited to finally experience a real regular party.

     Slightly glanced up and away as he processed the question, counting up how many people he had personally invited (which took two hands to tally up on their own) and then trying to mentally multiply that by the other lost boys assuming they had as many guests, plus accounting for any friends of friends that tagged along…“A lot,” he said decisively. He squinted around the living room for a moment and then shrugged. “I sure hope so. It would suck if we had to turn anyone away…But look!” Slightly motioned proudly to the karaoke machine they had managed to get their hands on. They had already had it on their party necessity list before he met and invited Poppy, but it was certainly an even more valuable activity to have available with her in attendance. “We’ll have a great crowd to siiiing for. Can we do a duet?” After a second he remembered manners and added, “Please?”

I always thought it'd make most sense, if they met before Rosiepuff's death.

As much as I love the idea of Branch joining the band after the events of the first movie, as a way to practise socialising, I think It'd make more sense (and frankly be more interesting) if Kismet knew Branch when he was younger. That way, it’s also easier to imagine them having a brotherly bond (I’m a sucker for the found-family-dynamic).

I read a headcanon somewhere, that Branch created Kismet along with the other members, shortly after the bros left, as a way to "prove himself" as a performer, and maybe then, they'd come back.

And honestly, I think that fits very well, if you remember how baby Branch stated that the fiasco back at the first show of Brozone's tour was his fault. I think It'd make sense, that he'd continue with this mindset for a very long time, and with forming Kismet, maybe he hoped his brothers would get the word about them, and return home.

I also think an alt headcanon, where Rosiepuff encouraged Branch to reach out and sing with the other trolls could work. And as a result, Branch met the others and formed Kismet.

Now, I headcanon Branch to have been maybe around 1, when his bros left, and 5 or 6 when Rosiepuff died.

In between that time, I'd like to think Kismet got fairly popular among the poptrolls.

Branch would totally be one of the main song-writers, because there's no way he can help Bridget make such a romantic speech to King Peppy in the first movie, and then NOT have written 90% of Kismet's lovesongs.

Him being one of the main singers wouldn't suprise me either, I mean have you heard his falsetto??!

After Rosiepuff's death, I really do think he stops singing, and with that, also perfoming, but I don't think he ever officially quit the band.

I'm sure he tried; he probably didn't think Kismet would want him around, now that he was gray and didn't sing (an insecurity from Brozone leaving), but they probably just went "No way", refusing to kick him out or let him quit, stating that he'd always be part of the band and their family, whether he sang/performed or not.

Now that didn't mean happy ending. Although Kismet would try and be there for Branch, there wasn’t much getting through to him (him grieving and all), and I don’t think therapy would’ve been very accessible in the Trolltree, so there was only so much they could do, with the rest of them still being kids as well, despite being older.

They still try; literally dragging Branch outside, so he doesn’t waste away in Rosiepuff’s pod, making sure he’s eating, bathing , combing his hair. He won’t do it himself, but I don’t think he’d have the energy to fight the help either.

That is, until the great Bergen escape happens, where Branch is probably kicking and screaming while being carried by one of the Kismet-members , not wanting to leave behind the pod, it being the last thing he has left from his grandma, but also because he still had hope for his brothers returning.

After the pop trolls relocate, Branch runs away into the forest, and no-one but Kismet really bothered to look for him. They do find him after a few weeks. By that time, Branch has probably already started building the bunker, and refuses to rejoin society.

Kismet is probably at a total loss as to what to do; they don’t want to force Branch back to the village (he’d probably sneak away again anyway), but at the same time, he was a KID, they. couldn’t just leave him at the mercy of the forest.

Idk if I headcanon Kismet helping Branch build the bunker, a part of me wants to think they didn’t even know where it was hidden until Branch showed them a few years later, but I really like the idea of them either living with him or constantly showing up unannounced to visit. Maybe they even manage to make new songs together; Branch doesn’t sing, but that doesn’t mean he can’t write songs, at least if you take into account how he helped Bridget make that romantic speech.

Maybe after the events of the third movie, Branch starts singing with Kismet again. I think they kept on touring with their music, even when Branch was gray and wasn’t singing, (I’m taking into account how Poppy reacted to seeing Kismet at the end of TBT, so they’d have to at least be a little famous right?) but they’re ecstatic to have him along with them again.

when do you like to HC Branch as having Met Kismet?

I Read someone else's idea about Kismet having maybe been other kids who Branch met in a care home following his Grandma's death and they all befriended each other and started their little boy band.

tho as much as that idea melts my heart I do hate to admit that it wouldn't really fit with Branch's backstory given he supposedly never sang after his Grans death due to blaming himself.

but I do love the idea of Kismet being made up of loner misfit kids who all befriended each other when they had no one else so maybe it could tie in with the other options.

like maybe Branch met them after his bros left but before his Grandma died but he pushed them away and cut contact after her death and only got back in touch after the first movie.

or he could have just met them after the first movie as other people had the idea that he joined their Band to try and improve his social skills and make friends.

given how out of practice he was so maybe that could still work with my little HC as they could have been a group of friends/ a Band who all also came from troubled backgrounds and befriended each other.

and after the first movie Branch heard about them and went to ask if he could join to improve his social connections and Kismet had never met Branch before.

but they did know of him due to his Reputation as the village's crazy loner who always crashed social events so they accepted him pretty quickly given he seemed like exactly the kinda person who'd fit Right in with their little group of misfits 😂😂😂😂

and the Rest is History like I said I just like to think Regardless of when Branch met them Kismet had always been a tight knit group of other kids from troubled backgrounds who kinda became each other's family.

making it pretty easy for someone like Branch to be accepted into their group and to get close with them.
