For just $25.00 Red and orange poppies using watercolor and wax resist on transparent rice paper. Batik is generally thought of as a classic wax resist Indonesian textile. With Carole’s work she replaces the traditional cloth with rice paper and the dyes with watercolors. She layers the wax and the color washes creating a delicate transparent look with rich textural interest. The original is in a private collection. The prints are matted to 11x14, 8x10. Comes with an acid free double white mat enclosed in a clear plastic sleeve. It comes ready to frame and enjoy. I have beautiful poppies every year until the deer find them. So I decided to paint them to keep them alive.
