Related to the idea of weird simple jingles to help people learn language (that I wrote about here), my Japanese colleague sent this to me today. It's a video to help you learn polite and proper greetings (aisatsu／あいさつ). She says everyone in Japan is talking about it, and, judging by this weird parody (if you don't speak, it's basically all the TV comedians re-dubbing the video with jokes and impolite phrases), people are poking a lot of fun at it.

UPDATE: Just got an explanation of why everyone's talking about it:

Because of the tragedy in my country, TV stations are not airing certain commercials and airing a lot of AC's commercials. (AC = Advertising Council http://www.ad-c.or.jp/eng/).. So if you read Japanese tweets, everybody is saying ポポポポーン！ (popopopon)
