Sweet Rescue - 02
Firefighter!Dean Winchester x Fem!Reader
Content Warning: None, but let me know if I missed something.
A/N: Please, please let me know if you like it, I appreciate all your comments.
5:00 am.
You woke up from a restless sleep, you had something in mind and there was only one thing you wondered about.
Did you have enough pie?
Captain Winchester had said he would be there first thing in the morning and expressed a deep love for your pie recipe. You knew you shouldn’t let on how excited you were about seeing him again, and it was probably best if he didn’t know you cared that much.
But you did care, So fuck that.
You needed to be sure to have all the pie you needed.
5:30 am.
You slipped into your robe and made your way down the stairs that led directly from your apartment to the bakery below.
Sure, you could’ve used your kitchen upstairs, but where was the fun in that? Living right above your shop meant you didn’t have to worry about dishes, especially when Donna would be downstairs to help in the shop’s kitchen.
You opened your apartment door and descended the familiar stairs. The cold and the quiet darkness greeted you as you reached the bottom. The large glass windows of the shop let in just enough light from outside to guide your steps toward the kitchen door, where the smell of dough still lingered in the air.
6:00 am
You preheated the oven while you start with the pie fillings.
The kitchen was getting warmer and warmer and your arms started to get sore from kneading the dough.
6:40 am.
The first batch went to the oven.
7:30 am
You set the pies down on the table.
You’d probably gone a little overboard, apple, pecan, cherry, peach, pumpkin, rhubarb, sweet potato, banana cream, lemon meringue, and a few experimental flavors you hadn’t even tasted yet.
Damn, you really went all out.
You sat in front of the pies, trying not to overthink it, but the self-doubt crept in. Was this too much? You didn’t want anyone to think you were some obsessive bitch. Your mind spiraled, Maybe you should’ve just stuck to the basics, and the lecture looped on repeat, getting louder and louder.
Then, you heard the unmistakable sound of a car pulling into the driveway, followed by the rhythmic stomp of boots hitting the ground.
Your eyes went wide with horror. Charlie was here.
Panicking, you ran, making sure everything was off as you rushed upstairs. You jump into the bathroom, turning on the shower.
——
“Oh hey, boss.” The redhead flashed you a grin as you walked into the bakery.
“Hey, Charlie. How’s everything going?” You returned the smile, trying to shake off the lingering nervousness.
“Just opened. Looks like you’re ready for the day, showered and everything.”
“Yeah, I slept through my alarm, so I figured I’d better be presentable.”
“Uh-huh, sure. Was it really for looking presentable, though? Or for washing away the evidence of the hundred pies you baked? Did you even sleep last night?” She placed a hand on her hip, her teasing grin never fading.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You furrowed your brows in exaggerated confusion, trying to play it cool.
“Oh, come on. Poor Donna walked in and nearly had a heart attack when she saw all those dishes.” She laughed, shaking her head.
“Well, poor Donna will be getting a bonus this month.” you said with a shrug.
“Oh, I already made sure of that.” She grabbed her apron and tossed yours at you. “But seriously, whats all this about?”
“The hot firefighter,” you said nonchalantly.
“Oh, he’s coming today? That’s why you baked for an army?”
“I just didn’t know which pie is his favorite,” you muttered, a little defensive. “Be honest, am I an over-the-top weirdo?”
“Oh, honey, you’ve always been one.” She smirked. “But don’t worry, I’m sure you will be his favorite pie flavor.”
“Oh, shut it.” You rolled your eyes as you headed for the kitchen.
“I’ll let you know when your hot firefighter arrives,” Charlie called after you, her voice full of mischief.
——
“Excuse me, I’m looking for the owner of this place.”
The redhead frowned in confusion, looking up to meet a pair of bright green eyes.
“Oh, you must be the firefighter,” she said with a smile, her expression lightening.
“How did you know?” Dean asked, a little surprised.
“A hunch.” She smiled again and knocked on the door behind the counter. “Hey, boss, the hot firefighter is here.”
Damn Charlie.
Dean’s gaze followed the sound of the door opening, his eyes falling on you as you emerged from the kitchen. Your ponytail was neatly in place, your skin glowing, and your perfect lips tinted in a soft pink.
“Hey, Captain,” you greeted, your smile warm.
“You can call me Dean, sweetheart,” he replied, his eyes twinkling.
“Dean it is.” You took two large pastry boxes and set them down on the counter with a graceful motion. “I pre-selected some pies for you, but feel free to pick anything else you like from the display.” You gestured toward the desserts on the display refrigerator.
“You sure about this?” Dean raised an eyebrow, eyeing the boxes. “Sweetheart, this is a lot of food. You’re losing money.”
“It’s okay, really,” you said with a reassuring smile.
“You sure?” he pressed, clearly not convinced.
You nodded. “And it's not entirely free. It's for the small price of saving my life.”
“But that’s my job.” He chuckled. “Tell you what,” he added, suddenly more serious. “I’ll take all of this if you agree to go on a date with me tomorrow night.”
You flashed him a bright, teasing smile. “You have yourself a deal.”
“Amazing.” Dean lifted the pastry boxes effortlessly. As he looked around, he noticed a box of bakery business cards sitting on the counter. “Is this your number?” he asked, pointing to the cards.
You shook your head. “It’s the bakery’s number, you call there if you want a three-floor cake for your quinceañera.” you said, reaching under the counter for your card. You shoved Charlie out of the way with a playful shove and handed it to Dean. “This one’s mine.”
“I’ll make sure to call you,” he said with a wink.
“You better,” you replied with a sly smile
“Bye, redhead.”
Charlie looked at you with a big smile on her face. “Look at you, all lit up like a Christmas tree.”
——
Jo sat in the common room, watching Sam arrive alone. She raised an eyebrow, confused.
"Hey, Sam!" she greeted. "Did you come in alone?" In all her years at the firehouse, she'd never seen the brothers show up separately.
"Oh, yeah. Dean wanted to stop by the bakery before shift, and I had some errands to run here." Sam explained.
"He went to the bakery and left you behind?" Jo’s tone was more indignant than she intended.
"Well, it's not like that. I do have my own car." Sam tried to clarify, but Jo wasn’t listening. She was too focused on Dean’s absence.
"Amazing. All that just to chase the baker’s skirt?" Sam blinked in surprise.
"Uh, no. I actually think it’s more than that," Sam replied, shifting uncomfortably.
"What do you mean?" Jo asked, leaning in, skeptical.
"I just think he’s ready to date again after the Amara thing." Sam said quietly.
That left Jo momentarily speechless. But before she could react, Dean walked into the firehouse, holding a box of your baked goods. Behind him, a few of the firefighters eagerly followed, eyeing the treats.
"Unbelievable. All this for a dozen of overpriced cookies?" Jo muttered.
"Oh, they’re not overpriced," Dean said with a grin. "And totally worth it. You should try one."
Jo shook her head, refusing the offer.
Dean smirked at Sam while holding up a card. "And guess who has a date tomorrow?"
Jo sighed, rolling her eyes as she turned and headed towards the locker room.
"What’s her deal?" Dean asked, glancing at Sam.
Sam just shrugged.
A sudden emergency interrupted the brothers' conversation, forcing Dean to leave everything on the kitchen table, your personal card included, resting there on top of the pastry boxes.
“Don’t touch my pie!” he shouted, rushing toward the truck.
In the chaos, as firefighters scrambled to manage the scene, your card was knocked to the floor and landed near Jo’s ankle boots.
She looked down at it, her mind racing. For a moment, she considered picking it up, but she quickly dismissed the idea. Instead, she nudged it away with her foot, pushing it down the kitchen aisle. No one would notice, and no one would be hurt by it. Dean would have more time to heal, away from any distractions, and you wouldn’t become just another notch in his belt.
It wasn’t that she hated you, but seeing that card made something twist uncomfortably in her chest. She wasn’t blind to what was happening between you and Dean, but she wasn’t about to let him fall for someone like you, not when he needed space, not when he still had so much to work through. But that moment wasn’t just about protecting Dean’s heart, no, it was about protecting her own, too.
She quickly washed away any sign of guilt on her face and followed everyone to the trucks.
——
"Where the hell is it?" Dean was frantically tossing items around the kitchen.
"Oh, God, Dean!" Bobby's voice cut through the chaos. "What are you doing? Look at this place."
"I left it here, and now it's gone."
"Food doesn't last long around here, son."
"No, not the food, the number. Her number." Bobby raised an eyebrow in confusion. "She gave it to me, and now it has disappeared. I haven't called her yet, and she's gonna think I’m just another player."
"But you kinda are," Bobby said.
It was true. Since the whole Amara thing, Dean had been... well, a little too generous with his attention to women, leaving a trail of broken hearts in his way. But this was different. Bobby had never seen Dean like this before.
"Not the point, Bobby." Dean sighed, clearly frustrated.
Bobby, looking a little too pleased with himself, placed a hand on Dean's shoulder.
"Let me tell you what, son. Your truck’s almost out of gas. Why don’t you and the boys take it to the station, and fill the tank? And hey, make sure you take the street that passes near the bakery, just to, you know, say hello."
Dean’s eyes lit up, a grin spreading across his face as he grabbed his jacket.
"You’re a genius, Chief."
Dean quickly gathered the crew and jumped into his truck, headed straight for you. Bobby stood watching him go, a satisfied smile on his face. He glanced at the pie Dean had been saving for himself, shrugged, and cut himself a piece before heading to his office. After all, he was alone. No one would ever know.
——
“Uh, Boss?” Charlie’s voice floated in as she gently knocked on the kitchen door.
“Yes, Charlie?” You didn’t look up, still focused on decorating your cupcakes.
“Remember that hot firefighter?” she asked, peeking in.
You raised an eyebrow but didn’t stop piping icing. “Yeah?”
“I think you might want to go outside,” she said, a mischievous smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
Confused, you looked up from your work. “What? Why?”
Donna appeared beside Charlie, quickly swiping the pastry bag from your hands. “I’ll finish these for you. Go on.”
You raised your hands in mock surrender. “Fine.” You stood up, but Charlie stopped you.
“Let me fix this.” She patted your head, brushing away what was probably powdered sugar. “Go.”
Still confused, you walked toward the door, but as soon as you saw the red glow outside, everything clicked. Your glass door was tinted red from the reflection of a massive fire truck parked in front of your shop.
And then you saw him.
Dean.
He was wearing his navy firefighter jacket, the one with the logo of his station on the sleeve. He looked unreal.
You opened the door, trying to act casual, though your heart was racing. You took a quick glance at the fire truck again, then back to him.
“Captain?” you chuckled, your voice betraying a touch of nervousness. “Everything okay?”
Dean took a step forward, glancing around before entering your shop. “Sorry about blocking your driveway, Sweetheart. I just... didn’t want you to think I’m some player for not texting you.”
You blinked, caught off guard, but nodded for him to continue. You had noticed his lack of texting, but with the craziness of the shop, you hadn’t had time to think about it.
“I lost your number,” he said, a genuine tone of sorrow in his voice.
You smirked and held out your hand. “Your phone, Captain.”
He pulled out his cell and handed it to you without hesitation.
“No password?” you teased, glancing at him while you added your number.
“Got nothing to hide, especially not from you, sweetheart,” he said with a playful grin.
You raised an eyebrow. “We’ll see.”
“Date’s still on for tomorrow. I’ll text you the details.”
“Just don’t lose the phone,” you shot back, your lips curling into a smile.
He grinned. “Oh, that’s funny, sweetheart.” Then, before you could say anything else, he leaned in and brushed a kiss on your cheek. “See you then.”
“Bye, Captain,” you called after him, a flutter in your chest as you watched him walk away.
“Marry him.” Donna said behind you, you just rolled your eyes and laughed.
Dean got inside the truck and looked at his brother with a big smile on his face.
“What?”
“Oh, you’re going to fall so hard.”
“Is that a threat, Sammy?” Sam rolled his eyes.
“Whatever lover boy.”
——
You paced back and forth in your living room, anxiety bubbling up as you glanced at the clock. You’d already changed outfits four times, and you still weren’t sure if you’d chosen the right one.
Donna and Charlie had decided to stay past their shifts to help, but you were still second-guessing yourself.
“I’m sure he’d like you even if you were wearing a potato sack,” Donna said, her voice light as she sipped her wine.
“You think?” you asked, eyeing yourself in the mirror.
“Of course. Girl, he’s smitten,” Donna replied, her confidence unwavering.
You traced the hem of your red dress, frowning as you considered her words. You glanced in the mirror, smoothing your hands over the red dress you’d finally settled on. It hugged you in all the right places.
“Hey, the bakery’s closed,” Charlie said as she entered, but she stopped in her tracks when she saw you. “Oh, he’s going to lose his mind. You look very hot.”
You smiled. “Thank you, Charlie.”
“I’m glad we stuck with this one after the hundred dresses you tried on.” Charlie’s teasing tone made you roll your eyes.
Before you could answer, your phone buzzed. You checked the screen, it was Dean. He’d arrived.
Donna and Charlie wasted no time, ushering you toward the door before you could glance at yourself in the mirror one more time.
You stepped outside, and there he was leaning casually against his Impala, a bouquet of flowers in hand. The sight of him stopped you in your tracks. His head turned at the sound of the door, and his breath visibly caught the second he saw you.
Dean’s gaze swept over you, slow and deliberate, his green eyes lingering as if he were memorizing every inch of you. He straightened up, his usual confidence faltering for just a moment as his lips curved into a lopsided smile.
“Hey, Sweetheart.” he said, his voice deeper than usual. “You look…wow.”
Heat bloomed in your chest as you walked toward him. “Hi, Dean. These are beautiful.”
“They’re nothing compared to you,” he said softly, handing you the bouquet without breaking eye contact.
“Let me get them in water so we can get going.” You turned to head back inside, but before you could, Charlie popped her head out the door.
“I’ve got it,” she said, grabbing the bouquet and shooing you back outside. You didn’t even notice she followed you downstairs.
Dean opened the car door for you, His hand brushed your back lightly as you slid inside, the small touch sending a spark through you. As you slid into the passenger seat, you smiled at the familiar scent of leather of his car apparently named Baby.
Even at the restaurant, he was attentive, pulling out your chair for you to sit on.
“Tell me about you,” he said, leaning forward. “I want to know everything.”
You smiled, your nerves starting to ease. “Well, I inherited my bakery from my grandparents. It’s been my passion since I was little. My parents moved away, so it’s just me keeping the place running.”
Dean nodded, his eyes never leaving your face. There was something in the way he looked at you like you were the only person in the room.
His expression softened. “That’s impressive. Takes guts to keep something like that alive.” he said quietly, and the sincerity in his voice made your breath hitch.
“What about you?” you asked, trying to shift the focus back to him.
“When I was four, my family was in a fire,” he began, his voice steady but tinged with something deeper, you instinctively reached out, placing your hand on his. He dropped his gaze to where your fingers touched, his lips curving into a small smile.
Dean’s expression softened as he took a deep breath. “When I was four, my family was in a fire. I’ve admired firefighters ever since and followed them around. That’s how I met Bobby, our chief. He took me under his wing and helped me get started as a Junior firefighter. And now years later, I’m the Captain.”
You gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “You’re really determined, aren’t you?”
He chuckled. “Guess I am. But when I’m not on shift, I work on cars. Baby keeps me busy, and I fix up my friends' cars too. If I wasn’t a firefighter, I’d probably be a mechanic.”
“Funny. If I wasn’t a baker, I’d have been a ballerina,” you said, grinning.
He raised an eyebrow, a teasing glint in his eyes. “Oh, really? I think you should still do it. You’d look amazing in a tutu.”
The evening unfolded with laughter, easy conversation, and lingering glances. There was undeniable chemistry between you two, sparks flying every time his hand brushed yours, every time you caught his smile.
When dinner ended, By the time he walked you to your door, the tension between you was palpable.
“Thank you for tonight,” you said, smiling up at him. “But next time... I think we should go for a burger.”
He chuckled, shaking his head. “So, the rumors are true.”
You raised an eyebrow. “What rumors?”
“That you’re going to be my downfall.” He stepped closer, his voice dropping. “I’ve been dying to do something all night.”
Your breath caught as he tilted your chin up, his lips hovering just a whisper away.
“Can I kiss you?” he asked, his voice rough and quiet like he was holding back everything he felt.
Your heart thundered in your chest, and all you could manage was a soft, “Please.”
He leaned in slowly, as if giving you the chance to pull away but when his lips finally touched yours, the world seemed to stop. His kiss was soft at first, a hesitant brush of warmth that sent a rush of heat through your entire body.
But when you tilted your head, leaning into him, he deepened the kiss with a quiet groan. His hand slid to the small of your back, pulling you closer, while his other hand cupped your face as if you were something fragile.
His lips moved against yours with a fervor that left you breathless, every motion speaking of the longing he’d been holding back all night. He kissed you like you were the only thing he wanted in the world, savoring your lips every second.
The faint taste of whiskey lingered on his lips, mingling with the intoxicating scent of his cologne. The combination overwhelmed your senses, making you dizzy with how right it all felt.
When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested gently against yours, both of you struggling to catch your breath. His thumb brushed lightly against your cheek as if he was reluctant to let go.
“You’re even more dangerous than I thought,” he said, his lips brushing yours again in the faintest tease of a kiss.
“Dean,” you murmured, laughing softly, “you’d better not be married.”
The sudden tension in his body was subtle but undeniable. Something flickered in his eyes, gone almost as quickly as it appeared.
“Just joking,” you added quickly, brushing it off.
He smiled, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes this time. “I know.” His hand trailing down to his side as if it pained him to stop touching you.
Still, before he left, he stole one last kiss, this one softer, a lingering moment that left you breathless all over again.
“See you tomorrow, sweetheart?” he asked, his voice low and full of affection.
“You’ll see me tomorrow, Captain.”

When I was at school, the thing was that Geography was a dull subject but that the teachers were nice. I still don't get the implication that having an ordinary name is a bad thing, though; half the Doctor's companions have had very ordinary names.

Hiii! I was wondering if I could request f!reader x the cod boys reaction to her taking a sick day after having an IUD placed, either platonic or an established relationship with one of them, up to you. I can only imagine mixed reactions, especially after learning what all goes into the procedure. This is totally self indulgent so I was hoping for it to be on the fluffier side, BUT no worries if you’re not interested!!
Thank you!!🤍💐
i love this🖤 thank you for requesting, kat! hope you enjoy!
mdni - 18+; minors and ageless blogs will be blocked

☆
john is worried.
“not like you to take a sick day, dove. you sure you’ll be alright ‘til i get back?”
tbh, he’s so pressed about it. he knew in advance what the procedure would look like - educated himself after the birth control discussion came up - but your body isn’t reacting the way either of you had hoped. it’s far worse.
scared the hell out of him when you called yesterday afternoon and asked that he pick you up. obstinate, headstrong thing that you are, you declined his offer to accompany you to the appointment in the first place. you were in no condition to drive.
the thought of leaving you now, even for morning pt with the team, sets his teeth on edge. you’re strong, he knows. you can handle yourself just fine. but what kind of man would he be to leave his girl when she feels this fucking awful? - spoiler alert: he’s not going anywhere.
with your reassurance (and telling him he’s being a bigger baby than you about it), he tucks you into your nest of pillows and blankets, leaves ibuprofen and a cup of water on your side table, and makes sure your heating pad is plugged in and within reach.
simon is supportive.
“i’ve seen you shot, stabbed, blown up, burnt, broken bones; you’re a tough bird, you can handle it.”
you’ve been through worse. you both know that. doesn’t mean that he isn’t sympathetic to the pain you’re feeling, though. he watches you like a hawk, monitoring every scrunch of your nose or pained grimace or you squeezing your eyes shut just a little too tight. you’ll take the meds he picked up for you like clockwork with the fresh cuppa he brings you every four hours. he’ll take the day off with you, let you squeeze his hand when a cramp or muscle spasm is particularly gnarly.
he’ll hold you while you nap, too - playing with your hair, keeping you centered on top of him with one bulky arm slung across your hips, wishing the whole time that he could trade bodies with you until the aches are gone.
johnny is pissed.
“an’ they donnae give ye fuckin’ anesthetic? och! tha’s fuckin’ cruel s’what tha’ is!”
this man is L I V I D. he didn’t know the details of iud placement until you made him watch a video, and he’s been going off the rails since. it infuriates him to no end that you’re expected to just tough it out with nothing more than basic fucking pain relievers. don’t even get him started on that medieval torture device you called a ‘tenaculum’ that they stabbed you with!
he’s planning a murder while he orders a delivery of supplies. angrily, his thumbs punch at his screen as he selects all the things he even thinks you might need to get through the week - even though you keep telling him you’re sure you’ll be fine tomorrow.
“not gonna stab my hen and get away with it.”
(when you ask what he’s muttering about over there, he tosses his phone aside, rolls you into his arms, kisses the top of your head, and tells you lunch is on the way.)
kyle is sympathetic.
“poor thing,” he murmurs, kissing your temple. “what can i do to help?”
like price, kyle took the liberty of doing his research.
cramps and muscle aches/spasms are common after placement, and some women will actually pass out in the minutes following the procedure. he texted a medic friend to get ahold of some muscle relaxers for you, picked up standard issue pain meds, bananas for potassium to combat the cramps, a second heating pad (one for each side), chocolates, tea, and a new plushy for you to squeeze on. your boyfriend was adamant that he take you to and from your appointment, even if you didn’t want him in the room while it was happening. every single base is covered in advance to mitigate the worst case scenario.
when you curl into the fetal position, gritting out an abrupt “all good”, he wraps himself around you like a shield.

Irreplaceable. (Kenny Liu x gn!reader)
Summary: A cop arrived along with Tabitha, and she thinks she owns the place; you think it's time to teach her how to be humble.
Rating: T
Warnings: whole lotta cursing, canon-compliant violence, spoilers for S3E8 of From, survivor's guilt, mourning, Acosta slander, reader is jealous but for a good reason, mentions of blood, mentions of gun. Acosta is her own warning.
Word count: 2.15k
Tabitha was back.
She went through the tree, got into a lighthouse, went outside and wound up back in town. She was hurt - scared, you could see the way she looked around with wide eyes at every waking moment.
You talked to her once; it didn't go far, though, as Jim arrived a couple minutes after you finally got the poor woman alone, telling you whatever went on in their life wasn't any of your business.
You flipped him off.
"If you ever need to talk," you told Tabitha, eyes as gentle as possible. "I'm at the station."
Not only did Tabitha come back, she brought in Victor's father with her (by accident, she said. Of course.). Henry, he said his name was, was a gentle man through and through. You could see how much he cared about Victor - the way he tried his best to be patient and reconnect with his son.
He never berated the man, listened to whatever he said with the utmost patience and always tried to remain calm, although you're all only human - he panics a few times, too.
He went to the goddamn caves with Victor.
If that isnt love, you don’t know what is.
Victor, your first friend in this hellspace; one of the four people you trusted with your life - the other three, obviously, were Boyd, Donna, and Kenny.
The man was a gentle, misunderstood soul. If anyone asked you who was the person who wanted to leave this place the most, out of everyone, Victor would be your answer. He was used to it, yes - but he didn't like the place.
He was tired.
You were tired.
That's why you tried to help him as much as possible.
(Victor told you how he tried to remember what happened with Christopher and the townspeople at the beginning, but it didn't work - he was going to see Sara.
"Does it have to be her? Do we have to do this?"
"Yes."
"Dude, c’mon. She-"
"I know. But it’s gonna get scary, and she’s the scariest person in town."
You blinked up at him. He blinked back.
You sighed.
"Fine. But I'm taking a knife with me.")
Yet, there was a third party who got in town with the two good parts; and, as all is never well in this place, the woman was an absolute menace.
Acosta was her name - surname? Who knows -, a policewoman who refused to change out of her uniform, going around asking people invasive shit and managing to piss you off more times than you can count by berating Boyd, of all people.
Her last stunt was to come up to the station as you were talking to the sheriff about the kinds of food you managed to find with the last group of people who went foraging, demanding him to give her gun back.
She did so without even acknowledging your presence, trading insults back and forth while you watched the scene, flabbergasted; Boyd, tired of her shit, actually gave it back to her without the ammunition (this is why you trusted him so much), and she walked out of the station, without as much as a glance towards you.
"Am I invisible?"
Boyd sighed. "To her? Most people are."
And then - there went your last straw.
Just as you arrived at the diner, ready to give your boyfriend a tight, much needed hug, you caught sight of a blonde ponytail and blue uniform.
"Oh, hell no."
You swung open the inner door, and walked up to the stools just as Kenny poured hot water into a mug.
"Yeah, they… they do that sometimes." He said, as the jukebox played by itself (again.).
Acosta looked at him - really looked at him. “Is that something else you get comfortable with?” A pause. “Look, thanks for the tea.”
He looked down at the mug. “Uh, you didn't even...”
She stood up, body almost colliding with yours. “Excuse me.”
And then, Kenny looked up, eyes locking with yours. He brightened up immediately - his smile widened, and he put the pot back in its place, just to beckon you over with his free hands.
"Good morning, my love." You said, ducking under the opening to the back of the counter. When you straightened up, your boyfriend was already by your side, arms wrapped around your shoulders, drinking in your presence.
The blonde turned around, now staring at you, with furrowed brows and a scowl on her face.
“Mornin’.” He swooped down, lips connecting with yours in a chaste kiss. A sigh left your body, arms encasing around his shoulders, and you heard a scoff sound from behind, followed by the door opening and closing.
You stayed there for a couple of minutes, in each other’s arms, just enjoying the peace and quiet – the rarest thing to happen when in town. You nosed at Kenny’s throat and he inhaled deeply, red creeping up the side of his neck.
“I missed you.” You whispered. He stayed silent for a few seconds, squeezing you tighter.
“You saw me last night.”
You could hear the smile in his voice; this is it, you thought. This is a good change.
Kenny was hurting.
Kenny was mourning.
But the town – the people, didn’t give him the time he needed to go through this, so the best thing you could do to not see him fade away was stay by his side and not let him wither.
(You missed Tian-Chen, too.
She treated you like her own. She loved you, and you loved her.
She told you to stay with Jade and Victor that night.
You shouldn’t have.)
“It’s a few hours too much, still.” You replied, grinning.
Kenny let go of the embrace first, in favor of throwing away the – now – cold tea. "You're veeeery cheesy."
"This is how you love me, anyways."
"Yeah." He sighed, leaning back onto the counter, arms open again. He didn't need to ask - you gladly embraced him, arms around his waist this time, as he leaned down and hid his face near your collarbone.
"I do."
You stayed there for God knows how long, fingers carding through Kenny's soft, thick hair; humming a song you knew he loved, whispering about how your mornings went, and the dreams you had.
You both had given up on the house after Tian-Chen passed away, and Jim permeated the place with his presence (although you knew he meant no harm, the place was suffocating). Kenny moved into colony house, while you stayed at the station with Boyd. Victor would have no qualms about you moving there with him, seeing as he had the safest room in that place, but Henry was there with him, and you didn't mean to intrude.
The both of you left the diner together, hand-in-hand, ready to face the day ahead.
Shortly after, Boyd assigned you with the task of helping him around - there were more people now, and he could use some help figuring shit out. Ellis was panicking - something happened with Fatima -, and the man wanted to help his kid, so you left to do some of his own chores.
Night came.
You slept in the "archive room", a little nook used to store boxes in the station; Boyd had helped you get a bed in there, and that was good enough. There was one little window on the upper side of the room, and, even though you kept it tightly shut (you nailed it, as a precaution), the whispers and giggles still seeped into the space and made it harder for you to sleep.
The sun rose with a golden hue. The orange glow shone through the clear glass, straight onto your face; with a groan, you rose up from the mattress, stretching as your body slowly woke up.
Another day where you got up, did your shit and hoped for the best - except this time, there wasn't even any hope to begin with.
"Tillie's dead." Boyd told you as you got to colony house, a few minutes after him. "We don't know who did it, but it wasn't a creature."
Ellis fidgeted beside his dad; it looked like he wanted to say something, but held himself back.
"You okay, Ellis?" You asked, with furrowed brows. "Is Fatima okay?"
Ellis inhaled sharply. Boyd glanced at him, and back at you.
"She's fine." The young man replied, nodding his head. "Aside from the nausea, and the, uh. The other stuff."
The ultrasound issue.
"Oh. Make sure she's safe, okay?" You said, nodding at the sheriff. "'m going in."
Boyd shook his head no.
"Wait here, please. Kenny and Acosta are inside, questioning the folks."
A burning feeling made its way up the back of your neck, up to your cheeks and forehead - although it was commonly associated with red, you knew what this was: green.
Jealousy.
Now, you wouldn't consider yourself a jealous person in any way, no; but the lingering glances, the manner in which she scoffed with no shame at your affection, how she thought she was the crispiest fucking fry of the batch?
Oh, fuck no.
Boyd and Ellis rushed away while you steeped in your own anger. Not long after, you heard two sets of footsteps walk out of the house, and there they actually were - your boyfriend, and the blue-uniform menace.
Kenny had a troubled look on his face while Acosta - what the fuck was her name, again? - yapped away with no regard to his feelings; obviously, no one would walk on eggshells here when it came to other people's feelings, but this was too much.
"Was what that guy said about Sara and your dad true?"
Enough is enough.
"It's not that simple."
You trailed off behind the duo, your own brows furrowed and fists tightly closed as you breathed in and out slowly.
Do not fight her. Do not throw fists. Do not. Refrain.
"Okay, you didn't think it was worth mentioning the girl that already murdered two people?"
"Look, it's just, uh, she's different now, and Boyd trusts her."
"Who gives a shit what Boyd thinks, okay?"
"Hey!"
They stopped at your shout, turning around. Turns out you were closer than it seemed; four steps were all it took for you to walk up to her stupid face and swing a fist straight to her jaw.
Kenny yelped, rushing to your side as Acosta doubled over, hand cradling her face; wild, blue eyes stared into your own as she straightened up, raising her own fists. Your boyfriend tried to step in, but you walked around, pushing him behind your own body.
"Come on, hit me." You said, ready for a blow. She hesitated, and then - you spoke up. "You're walking around like you own this place. As if you're mightier than anyone who has been stuck here."
Kenny moved, but you lifted up your hand, placing it on his chest. "Hun, please. Sit this one out."
Acosta scoffed. You faced her, seeing the way she looked between you and Kenny.
"Yeah, we met here. Yes, we fell in love here, we got together here. Yes, this has become our routine. Do you think we wanted to be here? You think we chose to stay?" Her eyes softened. "No, we don't. But we're trying our fucking best to stay alive and sane, because that way, we can think and figure out how to escape."
Your fists shook, angry tears threatening to fall.
"You have no idea what it feels like to witness the people we love wither away and get lured in by those fucks by night. So, at least, try to be a little more considerate of these people's feelings, won't you?"
Kenny took one of your closed fists in his own hand, slowly opening it and lacing your fingers together.
"That way, you might be able to actually help someone." You finished, staring at her bruising jaw. "Sorry I punched you."
Acosta swallowed deeply, glancing between yourself and Kenny.
"I never thought about that." She said, eyes finally settling on your own. "I understand. Apology accepted."
Kenny squeezed your hand, leaning down to whisper in your ear.
"Well, that's better than nothing."
You held in a snort, bumping your shoulders together.
"Are you going to come with us?" She asked, tilting her head towards the forest.
You nodded your head. "Yeah. What did you guys find out?"
Just as she opened her mouth to answer, a shrill yell echoed through the place.
"Help!"
Ethan.
Everyone looked towards the boy, as Kenny rushed to ask him what happened.
Acosta looked at you, and nodded; the both of you ran, and you sure fucking hoped this was the beginning of a good teamwork.

a/n: i haven’t wrote on here in so long 😥😥 @sqiim is writing so now im writing and i don’t wanna do my work so here i am !!!
🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️
You initially didn’t mean to find The Doctor, he found you. The shit day you were having was immediately twisted into an interesting one when you had walked into him. Firstly, you had woken up to the passing of your beloved dog and decided to go shopping after you had taken the canine to the vet for the last time. Then you were walking down the street and your shopping bag broke, spilling out all your shopping onto the floor as you walked into a man in a trenchcoat. You were close to giving up, that’s when he turned around and begun to pick up your pile of oranges that fell out the bag.
“You don’t need to help” You said, shoving items into your other shopping bag. The Stranger locked eyes with you and smiled, he had the most beautiful chocolate eyes and freckles painted his face.
“It’s not a worry, I’m happy to help” He replied, still with a soft smile as he picked up some of your things.
“Thank you, by the way” You spoke softly standing up and straightening out your outfit.
“I’m The Doctor” He chuckled introducing himself before he whisked you away from your lowlife
During those times together, you had seen the most beautiful things with The Doctor. You had seen ancient ruins from meadows of the old age, civilisations dancing under a bright moonlight, betwitched by realms of impossibility. But there was also the downsides of travelling with The Doctor, fighting aliens who look like they belong in the air fryer and covered in cheese, lasers beaming down at you from metal men, loosing people you had grown to care about in a short amount of time. And The Daleks, it’s always The Daleks. They always take the time out of their day to ruin everything.
You didn’t want to leave him, you could never leave him behind. Your love for The Doctor was too powerful to ever let him go from your life. It was quite the opposite in fact, he let you go. He didn’t want what happened to Donna to happen to you. Poor Donna Noble, you wished you could speak to her again one more time.
You would always wait by the door, hoping and wishing he would come back to you but he was much older and wiser than yourself so you thought he wouldn’t understand of waiting by the door for someone to come like you were a kid. You would always set a spot at your dinner table incase he came back home to you but he would never show in the end. He could be out in the universe, finding worlds that hadn’t been discovered just then or not meant to be discovered at all, yet here you were, waiting for him all those years.
When you had heard about Donna Noble’s generosity donating to all those charities, selflessly giving it away even though she had won so much. Something inside you had always wondered that a part of her mind had never truly forgotten The Doctor. Which confused you for a long time, you had always secretly been making sure she was okay. Not in a weird way! She was your best friend at one point and you wanted to make sure she was staying out of trouble.
Five painful, long years after The Doctor’s sudden abandonment of you back on your property, he found himself there again. But this time he was much older and wiser, you were still setting the table with all the fancy shit like you would always do for him if he ever came back. Same face or not, you would always know it was him and you’d always love him. The Doctor found himself with the same face he had met you in, he was originally confused on why he had that face but after The Toymaker, he now understood why he came back to this face, he came back to go home, home where he was meant to be. That home was you (And Donna), he never had to worry about being the renowned Timelord when he was with you, he was just himself.
You were relaxed, cooking yourself your favourite meal for dinner. Dancing to the slow music you had playing in the background, the warmth of your kitchen putting you into a celestial state of peace. You were finally at peace with yourself and what happened with The Doctor, you would never not love him, you could never bring yourself to stop loving him. Then there was a knock at the door, you’d recognise that knock anywhere, the soft but panicked knock resonated inside your head as you absentmindedly turned the stove off.
To say you were nervous about answering the door was an understatement but a part of you said that you should see him again. You still loved him after all. There he stood, still your Doctor but older, he was still as beautiful as ever. Tears pricked your eyes but you didn’t let them fall, creating a cold demeanour around him and you didn’t want to break again in front of him. However, that was short lived as he could see through your demeanour, he could see right into your pain, your heartbreak.
“I’m so sorry” He expressed, you looked away. You didn’t want to let him see you like this, you wanted to stay mad but you could never stay mad at The Doctor. His hand reached out to you, resting upon your cheek and making you lock eyes with him. You didn’t fight it, you let your feelings take over, you’d never let your heart take over your head, but for The Doctor?
Oh, how you’d do it every-time.
“I know” You whispered “You always are sorry, but this time you mean it right? This time please say you’ll stay” Your eyes and contact with him and smiled softly at him.
“I couldn’t leave if I tried, my sweetheart” He chuckled lowly, his hand slowly caressing at your cheek, pushing a loose strand of hair out your face. He moved his face down towards your ear and whispered into it “I’ll always stay with you, until the end of time itself”
His voice into your ear was sending shivers down your spine, you trembled into his touch. Then came the kiss, the missed touch of his lips against your own, it was heavenly, you thought you had died and came back from the dead. The desperate touches and fleeting looks from his eyes. The way his eyelids fluttered as you pulled against his shirt to get any closer to him.
This was his home. This is what he was meant for. He was meant for you.

LISTEN, sisters dimi with s/o having a pet spider (in case it would be like a part 2) the spider finds one of the many hidden passages that has in the castle and one of these in particular leads to the sisters' room and the spider ends up climbing on their face and they are extremely nervous about it, in my head it was very funny. - anon miranha 🕸️🕷️. curiosity, miranha comes from the spider man, only that in Brazil has a meme of it and we call him miranha because of this meme and it’s pretty cool, as if someone asked you if you watched the movie of the miranha that came out and the other person will know (possibly) that he is talking about Spiderman

Haha awhh, poor bug babies and Donna XD!🙌🕷️ turning this to meme reactions👀 Oh? That’s really cool, hon! :) we love the insider memes👀
Let’s get into it :)

Bela
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/3bef16f983cf565a086d0f94a451d912/7fe02963c77fa3e6-2f/s540x810/8a87e754fc8cd391f9debffbb55c47c533b4e31b.jpg)
She awakens to a light, almost ticklish feeling
Momentarily, she thinks it might even be your fingertips tracing her face
When she reaches up and feels something small, almost hairy, though, she knows better
Instinctively, she flings the spider off of her, screaming and kicking away all blankets and pillows to ensure the thing can’t return under them
She desperately wipes her hand on the covers, panting, gagging
She can’t believe a spider was on her face!
Having nearly a full blown panic attack, and not knowing where the animal is due to flinging it away, she’s left with only a few options
Releasing a banshee-like scream, it thankfully doesn’t take long for Alcina to enter the room, visibly tired, but with her claws drawn
Clearly ready to slice whoever managed to intrude her daughter’s room and scare her into ribbons
What she doesn’t expect is to see Bela sat on the farthest corner of the bed, looking around anxiously with silent tears running down her cheeks
She attempts to move closer, and Bela quickly shoots out her hand
“Mama, spider!”
The following day, of course, she confronts you
Yet, she cares not for your comforting words or apologies
Instead, she gives you an ultimatum
To keep the thing locked tight or she will kill it
Or rather have Alcina or a maid kill it, really
She’s entirely serious about this, her arms crossed angrily. She never wants something like that to happen again and is in a good mood to kill the nuisance herself
Alas, she knows you like the animal, for a reason she cannot possibly imagine
You promise, you will get a new terrarium and ensure your pet will never simply roam around free
Satisfied, she at last allows you to comfort you, albeit with a small glare pointed at you
Cassandra
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/63be9eb2a50a756cc1eacc2b9e554a3c/7fe02963c77fa3e6-5e/s540x810/4352b47eae13e96e18d50d99a0c92fd3c6918551.jpg)
Generally speaking, Cassandra is quite the heavy sleeper
Of course, any physical attack is enough to wake her, physical touch, even
Aside from this, though, she can sleep through pretty much everything
Still, she stirs when she feels something move on her
Not yet fully awake, she battles with sleep as she feels the strange, light feeling move up her body
Sleepily, she tries to swat it away, and momentarily she thinks it has worked
Then, the light feeling returns, almost ticklish against her chest
She opens her eyes eventually, finding your beloved pet spider climbing up her throat and chin
Immediately- despite her fear of spiders- she grabs the thing and flings it against the wall
She turns on the light immediately, summoning her sickle
Beloved pet or not, the stupid creature is dying, she thinks
How dare you let it roam free after she’s already done you the favor of allowing you to keep the thing?!
She’s furious!
Swarming out of her room quickly, she wakes you instantly, and none too gently
You gasp as you’re shaken awake, a sickle immediately pressed to your neck
She’s practically trembling with anger and frustration and- unusual for her- fear and disgust
That thing was on top of her! She almost pukes at the thought, feels ill
You’re about to talk when she presses the sickle harder against you
You know, she loves you, you’re safe. But you also know something massively riled your girlfriend up, and not in the good way
Eventually, she speaks, angrily, her teeth nearly grinding together in anger
“Get your pet under control or I will dispose of it, and you!”
Immediately understanding what must have happened, you jump up and spend the rest of the night finding your pet spider and convincing her not to kill it, and, as she suggests, to prevent her from maiming the poor thing
She’s still furious, incredibly so, makes you check every single evening that the thing is where it’s supposed to be, has even hired a maid to specifically wake you up three times a night just to ensure the spider has not left
It seems, your sleep schedule is to suffer in order to keep your beloved pet alive. Cassandra will not have a slip up again
Daniela
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/bad71d3a11d635c4752910e6dc77c08e/7fe02963c77fa3e6-d5/s540x810/7a6b6f36c22bc77403760c8433cedb35502c9580.jpg)
She sleeps so comfortably, so happily
Not a care in the world
Still, she stirs when she feels light movement on her
She whines, thinking it must be one of Cassandra’s flies, another time the woman comes to annoy her, quite possibly as payback for the last time Daniela was a little troublemaker
Alas, there is no buzzing…
Groaning, she opens her eyes at last, seeing first only darkness, then…
She screams, swarms automatically
She cries out as she finds your stupid pet snatched two of her flies as she did this
Seeing the monster on her pillow, Daniela can only think of one thing: to flee
She swarms fast, crying, panting, trying hard not to throw up as she feels your stupid spider draining her poor flies and devouring their insides
Bela shrieks when she feels someone jump into her bed, confusion written across her face as she finds her sister, crying and shaking, curling up under her blanket and hiding against her stomach
She’s ready to kill you, certain that it must have something to do with you, but shivers instead when a single word is uttered by the younger woman: “spider”
In the morning, you’re given trouble
Finding Daniela with dried tears on her cheeks and two very angry looking older sisters behind her, as well as a maid with your pet spider held securely under a glass
It’s handed to you, and all three sisters shiver in disgust as you hold the animal and allow it back into its terrarium
“Destroy it, or keep it locked up!”, Cassandra snarls the moment you lock the animal up
Daniela refuses to talk, only stares in disgust, knowing parts of her are in the small animal’s belly. Your love for the spider is about the only thing keeping it safe
Alas, secretly, all three of them hope the animal won’t make the winter
Donna
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/02a8f852fae401b9a1b1f99a15a7f42a/7fe02963c77fa3e6-f4/s540x810/1093089f373e35d95a7d897f6c553ef2f64cd67c.jpg)
Being a light sleeper and having countless dolls to watch out for her, it’s no surprise she awakens the moment she feels something move up her body and graze her arm lightly
Something…almost ticklish
She awakens immediately, turns on the light and glances around
No one there, nothing
Then, another ticklish sensation
She shudders and quickly swipes her hand across her neck, unintentionally slinging the spider there onto the bed
She notices it’s yours immediately
Being a doctor, seamstress, scientist and gardener, Donna has no fear of spiders
Despite this, she isn’t a fan of having one right by her face
She picks the small animal up gently, commanding dolls and such to turn the lights on for her
As she enters your room, she gently places the spider back in the tank, then turns to you and attempts to wake you as gentle as possible
Alas, she is rather ghostly, so that you gasp and nearly shriek in surprise upon seeing her in the middle of the night
She draws back, holding back a giggle at your reaction
When you realise all is fine, you drown in confusion. Donna isn’t known to sleepwalk, nor does she casually stroll into your room for no reason in the middle of the night
She clarifies soon enough, though, asking you to please keep your spider contained to your room only
Shyly, you promise her it won’t happen again

[Resident Evil Village] Donna Beneviento x Female Reader - "Attached"
[Requested]
Summary: Donna gradually manages to get used to how affectionate you can be. So much so that she starts to initiate forms of affection herself.
Word Count: 7.29k Content + Warnings: Slightly OOC Donna (and possibly Alcina), talks of insecurity and loneliness, language (?), brief allusions to sex
- - - - [Masterlist] - - - -
[A/N]: I got a little carried away with some of the dialogue. This was just fun to write, honestly. I couldn't think of a good way to write the ending, so the pacing might seem a bit off. Also, I'm trying out a new banner for my stories, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it.
Enjoy!
Affection wasn’t something that was necessarily common in the Beneviento household. Even with her dolls there to keep her company over the years, Donna very seldom found herself being comforted by their small embraces, subconsciously reminding herself that they weren’t doing it of their own accord. Being reminded constantly of the fact she was in control of every action each doll made, she never truly felt as though there was love in them.
It had been so long since her parents had been around, and even though she was taken in under Miranda’s supposed care, not once in her lifetime did the priestess show her the affection, nor the approval, she had been desperately craving.
All throughout the rest of her childhood, adolescence, and most of her adulthood, Donna found herself alone. Even when she was surrounded by her “family” during meetings and other events, she could never seem to truly rid herself of the feeling of loneliness. She had convinced herself with time that she would be fine all alone – she deserved it, and it would be better for everyone anyway. As a result, she hardly ever left her home unless someone forced her to or if she had to visit the Duke for new supplies.
She grew accustomed to the silence in that cold manor, every unexpected sound causing her to panic until it passed. Improvising unfamiliar acts of affection was difficult to do on her own, which ultimately led her to create new dolls that were more mannequin-like that she could cradle or lean against when she felt particularly lonely. Some mannequins were designed specifically to be able to hold her close, and although she was immune to the effects of the pollen she used to cause hallucinations, she still managed to find a way to force a heartbeat and breathing that wasn’t there in order to bring herself some deluded sense of comfort.
Often, she ended up falling asleep cradled in the wooden arms of her creations, usually in the den on the couch, or on the sofa in the study during the middle of a movie. It was a rare occurrence for her to sleep in her own bed. It was too painful most nights to roll over and see the empty side of the bed, cold and lacking anyone there for her to wake up to in the morning. Most nights, she wouldn’t let herself sleep until she physically couldn’t stay awake any longer.
Because of all of this, her twenties dragged on for an eternity.
Once she realized just how alone her younger sister was once she reached her early thirties, Alcina took it upon herself to send one of her best maids to the Beneviento household to provide her both with help around the house and some much needed company.
She hadn’t given any warning, only sent the poor girl out to the grounds in a carriage with a few other trusted servants to ensure she made it safely. Had she been sent to walk there instead, Donna would’ve taken notice immediately and likely killed the young woman. However, she recognized her sister’s carriage instantly and stopped herself from reacting too harshly. She answered the door herself when a knock echoed down the halls, assuming it was either Alcina herself or her daughters.
Frozen immediately at the sight of a stranger standing there at her doorstep, Donna found it impossible to speak. When you bowed your head and explained your situation, the Lady subtly motioned for Angie to answer for her, screaming at you, the stranger, and asking why there was no warning of your sudden appearance.
“Oh, my apologies, Lady Beneviento. I had assumed Lady Dimitrescu had called or sent a letter prior to my arrival. I hope I’m not intruding on anything important,” you had whispered, your voice so gentle and sincere that Donna couldn’t find it in herself to be entirely angry with you. ‘It wasn’t the poor girl’s fault,’ after all, it was Alcina’s, and she made a mental note to call her later and give her a piece of her mind.
Wordlessly, Donna lifted her hand as a gesture to stop talking, one in which you obeyed immediately. “You silly girl,” Angie screeched, laughing almost maniacally as she clambered to your legs and climbed to your shoulders. “You worked for the Big Hat Lady, didn’t you? Why would she send you here? Were you too useless around her crusty, old, gigantic castle?”
“Oh, no,” you answered with a small laugh, puzzling Donna on how calm you seemed to be. She reminded herself that you had probably seen far worse and more bizarre things while under Alcina’s reign. A talking doll was surely something unordinary, though there were deeper horrors out there that outweighed even the pure discomfort Angie brought to others.
“Nothing like that. I assure you I do my best.” Donna hummed, disinterested and unamused. Still, you continued. “If I’m being completely honest, I’m not entirely sure why she sent me here, but I’m sure she has a good reason. I was honestly hoping I would be able to ask if you knew why, but… well, it seems we’re both at a loss.”
You seemed so casual about everything: you weren’t uncomfortable standing in front of possibly the most feared Lord in the village, you didn’t seem scared or startled when Angie came bounding around the corner, and you weren’t trembling even a little bit under the unsettling views that surrounded you. As annoyed as she was with this sudden intrusion, Donna had to admit she was still a little intrigued by you.
Perhaps some good would come from your stay after all. It would certainly be a nice change to have more time to herself outside of her projects. If someone was there to help take care of the cleaning and organizing, she would have more peace. More effort could be put into her dolls, she would be able to spend more time reading and researching, and she wouldn’t be alone. Regardless of knowing she likely wouldn’t be able to bring herself to talk directly to you, it was still a comforting thought to know there would be someone there – someone she couldn’t control, but someone she could instead rely on to make things lighter on her shoulders.
A moment passed before she sighed, stepping aside and welcoming you almost unwillingly into her estate.
“Thank you, my Lady,” you murmured with another charming smile, lifting your suitcases and carrying them inside. Once the front door was closed, Donna turned to find you standing there, patiently waiting for your first order. “I’ll show you to your room,” Angie announced, still perched on your shoulders. Without getting down, she grabbed ahold of your sleeves and began yanking them in the direction she wanted you to go.
Biting back a small snicker at her motions, you followed her demands and made your way to the stairs, still clutching your bags in your hands. Donna watched until you disappeared into the guest room that used to be her bedroom as a child. She didn’t know you entirely – only caught glimpses of you occasionally during her visits to the castle – though she still hoped that old room would be suitable and you would find it comfortable here. Using Angie distracting you to her advantage, she made her way to the lift and lowered herself to the basement, where she found her landline and dialed her sister’s phone number with a practiced motion.
Two rings before Alcina picked up, and it seemed she already knew who had called.
“Donna, darling, before you start lecturing me, will you give me a chance to explain myself?” Snarling through her words, Donna agreed to stay silent and listen. “Yes, but it better be a good reason. You know very well how I feel about strangers.”
“I know you aren’t fond of new people, but I can assure you I sent that girl with the best intentions in mind. She’s one of my best maids: kind, obedient, very level-headed. I figured she would be a good fit for you. I–” “Scusi?” Donna interrupted, on the verge of hollering. “Oddio mio! Fai sempre quello che vuoi, ed è esasperante!” Before she could continue with her verbal tirade, her eldest sister interrupted once again, prompting her blood to boil further. “Donna, please listen to me, dear,” her voice was almost strained.
A small slipped past Lady Dimitrescu’s lips, almost silent from the other side of the phone. Donna could picture her pinching the bridge of her nose as she spoke – could see her brows furrowing and causing her skin to crease in disdain. “I promise you I will explain myself, but you must listen to the entirety of what I have to say.”
“Make it quick. If there’s no viable reason for that girl to be here, I will send her back immediately.”
“I’m explaining my reasons, if you’ll be patient with me for just a moment.”
When silence fell between them, Alcina took it as a sign of the doll-maker’s reluctant compliance. “I noticed over the years that you’ve been lacking any sort of assistance down in that manor of yours, amongst other things. I know you won’t enjoy hearing it, but you’re alone, Donna, terribly alone. Anyone can see it, that’s how painfully obvious it is. That can lead to horrible tricks from the mind. You shouldn’t have to do everything by yourself. Some company would do you good, even if it’s just a maid there to help keep things tidy. I worry about you, truly, but there’s so little I’m able to do for you if you won’t accept the help I give you.
“That’s why I’m asking you to give this arrangement a chance. A month, at most. If you still aren’t satisfied or comfortable with her being there with you by then, I will send for her return, but I would appreciate it if you tried.”
“Alcina–” Donna started, grunting in distrust.
“Only for a month. I’m in no way suggesting you try to court this girl or even grow close to her. Just be cordial so you’ll have someone there with you that you can rely on at any given moment. She’s kind, patient, and respectful of any person, which is why I assumed she would be a good fit for you. She won’t step over your boundaries or interfere with anything you’re struggling with unless you ask her to. Please, whether you’re ready or not, give her a chance.”
A brief moment passed where Donna could only part her lips, though no words would come forward. She wanted desperately to protest against what her sister had essentially thrown on her so unexpectedly, though some part of her – the loneliest part, she knew – wanted to have someone here with her. Her sister trusted you, and you hadn’t caused any trouble that resulted in reprimand while you were still under her care, so there was a chance you wouldn’t be a nuisance the way she thought just a moment before.
Her mind wandered without her realizing it, filling itself with every potential way of what could go wrong. Silently, she was grateful that the familiar, comforting voice of her sister filled the space once more. “Donna, dear? Are you willing to give her the opportunity to stay with you? I only ask a month of your patience on her behalf.”
“You promise you’ll have her leave if I’m not satisfied with her company by the end of the next month?”
“Yes, of course.”
“Cazzo,” she whispered under her breath, tilting her head away from the phone to hide her words further. Suppressing a small groan, Donna nodded her head, though she knew her sister couldn’t see her. “Fine, she has one month. Be prepared to have one of your carriages sent here by then.” A soft, satisfied hum escaped Alcina’s lips in response. “I’ll have one prepared in case things go awry, but I assure you that you’ll enjoy her company. I hardly wanted her to leave myself, which is why I’m entirely confident that the only reason I’ll need to see her again is when my daughters and I come to visit during the summer months. They’ll be thrilled to see her again either way.”
“If we’re done with this conversation, I’ll have to hang up. Since there was no warning that this girl would be showing up on my doorstep, I’ve made no plans on what she’s to do around here. I’ll have to come up with a few things as I go.” “Yes, I understand. I’ll call you again next month to check in and see how things are going. Does that sound alright with you?”
“Yes. Goodbye, Alcina.”
“Thank you, Donna,” was her only reply before Donna placed the phone down, refraining every part of herself that wanted to shatter it and toss the remains far away.
Just above, she winced at still being able to hear the shrillness in Angie’s voice, and she knew she’d have to join you and the mouthy doll soon enough. To give herself a moment to breathe and steel her nerves, she took the time to straighten out her veil and suck in a deep breath. It took more effort than she would’ve liked to admit to force her legs to carry her back to the lift and not collapse beneath her as she stepped inside, turning hesitantly to tap the arrow and send herself back to the main floor.
When she arrived, Angie was already making her way to the elevator door, cackling as she tugged your hand so you’d follow her. “Donna, the silly girl told me she knows how to play piano! Isn’t that great? Now you’ll have someone else to sit with you and keep you company while you make new friends!” Scowling down at the doll, Donna shook her head, though she didn’t have a chance to speak before you did.
“Angie,” you started, chuckling at the doll’s antics, “I don’t want to impose on anything. I’m sure she’d prefer your company over mine. She seems far more comfortable with you.” Somehow, in the short amount of time you had been left alone with her, you had managed to get on Angie’s good side, which was made evident when you crouched down and lifted the doll into your arms. A smile painted your lips, even as you looked back at Donna.
“Now that you’re back, I was wondering what you’d like me to do around the house. I’m willing to do whatever you need.” Taking some time to think of what needed to be done, Donna made a small motion with her hand, silently asking you to follow her back into the small study. Angie, once you were close enough to the sofa, leaped out of your arms and landed on one of the cushions, excitedly bouncing up and down and causing you to chuckle again.
The Lady sauntered to the desk tucked on the far wall and slid the top drawer open. Her hand dipped into the small drawer and plucked a sheet of paper from a stack, as well as a pen, which she then placed onto the surface of the desk, pushing the drawer until it closed. As you wandered over to join her, she scribbled out a list of chores for you to do, adding a small note at the base of the sheet. When she turned and handed it to you, your eyes immediately scanned over her neat handwriting, specifically the words formed at the bottom. ‘Under no circumstances will you go to the basement.’
She stayed there, standing rigid as a board and staring at you expectantly. “Thank you, my Lady,” you suddenly blurted, that gleeful smile never faltering. Surprised, she blinked. She had partially expected you to question why the basement was off limits, then reminded herself yet again of all you had likely witnessed at her sister’s. “I’ll get started right away. Angie,” some part of her felt disheartened when you turned away to plant your focus back on the small doll still hopping on the sofa.
“Will you be keeping Lady Beneviento company?” From behind her veil, Donna’s eye shot over to Angie, awaiting her answer. “Nah,” the small doll replied, stilling her movements on the cushion and making a dismissive motion with her hand. “I’ve got to make sure you do everything right, after all! Besides, Donna has her other friends to keep her company.” “Other friends?” “The other dolls, silly girl!”
“Oh, I see. I’ll have to meet them sometime.” Donna couldn’t resist clenching her jaw tightly at your words. “Are you mocking her?” Angie accused, now speaking for Donna as she crossed her arms. “No, of course not,” you answered truthfully. It didn’t seem you noticed how thick the tension had grown. If you had, you certainly didn't pay it any mind. “Dolls can be friends. I’d be happy to meet them someday, if you’d allow me to, my Lady.” You turned to her again, and she couldn’t help but fall motionless at the sincerity in your eyes.
You truly weren’t mocking her.
There was no hint of judgment or sarcasm in your tone, nor did it seem like you were saying it out of duress. You were being honest.
Unsure of how to respond, she could only offer you a simple nod, one that would’ve gone unnoticed if you hadn’t been staring directly at her.
Again, you smiled at her without a shred of fear, another gesture she would have to grow used to.
“I’ll get started now. Is there anything specific you’d like me to prepare for dinner?” At that, Angie shook her head rapidly. “No, no, Donna will cook, not you!” A little puzzled, you looked over at the doll-maker yet again. “Would you prefer to cook?” Another wordless nod was sent your way. “Okay, well… in that case, I’m excited to see what you’ll make.”
Then you left the room, still cradling Angie in your arms and entertaining her endless banter. With the list clasped in your hand, you began working around the house, cleaning, tidying, and organizing everything you were instructed to. By the time dinner was served, it was clear you were exhausted, though you made no comment on it. Instead, you were given a plate of one of Donna’s favorite dishes to prepare, left to eat it on your own accord in the dining room.
Donna, still adjusting to the idea of having someone else in the house with her, insisted she’d eat alone in her workshop down in the basement, which was still off limits to you.
Angie was there to keep you company and let Donna know what was happening. The doll-maker couldn’t bite back her prideful grin when you raved about how delicious her cooking was, cleaning your plate off in record time. You were visibly relieved and excited when you learned that she would be cooking every meal herself.
This routine continued over the next month. You’d be given a new list of chores to do for the day, meet briefly with Donna in the kitchen until breakfast, lunch, or dinner was ready, eat alone in the dining room, then carry on with your duties until you were finished. A few days in, Donna had taken notice of how quickly you managed to complete your given tasks, watching with curiosity as you tried to create ways to entertain yourself.
Angie wasn’t always there with you to keep you company, so you had to find new things to do on your own without overstepping your bounds. It didn’t take long before Donna gave you free reign of everywhere but the basement. You were allowed to pick any book you could find throughout the house, could prepare your own snacks in the kitchen, could watch a film if you desired, you were allowed to do pretty much anything once you were finished working for the day.
Donna had forgotten about her scheduled call with Alcina, hardly even giving it a second thought at first when she heard her sister’s voice over the phone. “Donna, dear, how have things been?” Humming, the doll-maker shrugged to herself. “Things have been good here. How are things with you?” “I’m doing well, thank you.”
A long, drawn out silence followed, one in which Donna grew increasingly confused. Finally, Alcina cleared her throat, audibly expectant of something specific from her younger sister. “Well? Do I need to send for her?”
“Hm? Send for who?”
An exasperated sigh greeted her. “The girl, Donna. The maid I sent to you a month ago?”
“Oh, yes, of course. Her.”
“Do I need to send for her?”
She paused, staring blankly at the ground. Off and on throughout the weeks, she had been preparing herself to scold her sister for even having the idea in the first place. She thought of the few choice words she would sneer at her as she snarled out her demands to make you leave at once. The entirety of the past month had been expected to be a living hell, though after she thought to herself for a moment, she realized that hadn’t been the reality at all.
You had been incredibly helpful, never failing to be courteous and respectful with the special charm only you seemed to have. The manor had never been so clean, not even when Donna was a child and still had her parents to help out around the house. No matter how strenuous it was, you ensured you’d clean every part of each room from top to bottom, never missing a spot.
Angie had grown to like you on top of everything, which was a hard goal to achieve. Not once had you treated the doll unfairly. You always joined in on her tea parties, kept her company when Donna needed to be alone, cracked jokes without scolding her for her unruly sense of humor, and overall treated her kindly.
Kind. That’s what you were.
Even towards Donna herself, you never seemed to hold any sense of resentment or disregard for her comfort or security. You’d learned to read her body language alone to know if she was in the mood for chatting, and even on the rare occurrence where she voiced her own thoughts without using Angie, you didn’t pressure her to say more when she fell silent. There was an understanding, it seemed, one that didn’t need to be pointed out to know it was shared.
She was insecure, that much was obvious. Still, you were as patient with her as you were with Angie, and that was something she’d never be able to understand. She was appreciative of how you treated her – seeing her as who she is rather than fearing her every move. In the beginning, she had grown nauseated at the idea of someone convincing you to leave her each time you left to retrieve supplies from the village.
She didn’t understand why she was so anxious over the possibility of you leaving because of her. After all, she was the one who had been on the verge of begging Alcina to take you away. It seemed you had grown on her in such a short amount of time. It was a hard thing to admit to herself, especially as she stood in that hallway on the phone, but she liked you. She enjoyed your company, regardless of the fact she rarely had the courage to speak with you on her own.
She didn’t want you to leave. She couldn’t let you.
“Donna?”
Forcing a small shaky breath to steady herself, Donna was brought back to the present at the sound of her sister’s voice. “No, you won’t need to send for her.”
Alcina chuckled on the other side of the line. “I told you you’d enjoy her company. She’s quite a sweet girl, isn’t she?”
“Sweet, yes. She’s very kind, even to Angie,” Donna murmured, ensuring her voice lowered itself for the last comment. Another gentle laugh greeted her ear. “Well, take good care of her for me, will you? She’s very dear to my daughters, as well as myself. It will be quite a hard task to find a maid as valued as her.” A soft smile graced the doll-maker’s lips. It was rather calming to know her sister thought so highly of you. It lowered the chance of you somehow ending up hurt if you ever joined her on a trip to the castle.
“I promise you she’ll be happy here,” was her reply, voice thick with reassurance and sincerity.
And she kept true to her word, constantly finding new ways to keep you content and even opening herself up to you. It surely took time, however. You hadn’t been given the opportunity to see her face uncovered until you had already lived there for two years. She had led you into her workshop in the basement, requesting for you to tidy things up after she had realized she had neglected the cleanliness of the room for too long.
As you cleaned, Donna returned to her projects, propping up a doll and a few pieces of cloth. A small notebook laid beside the doll, filled with different measurements she’d need for its clothing. It only took a few minutes before you heard her cursing under her breath. When you turned from the desk you had been dusting, you found her holding the notebook almost taut against her veiled face, clearly struggling to read what she had written.
“Lady Beneviento, are you alright?” You had asked, cautiously moving to stand beside the table she was standing at. Her head perked up, turning to you as if she hadn’t realized she had spoken aloud. “Yes,” she stammered, glancing back down at the small notepad, “I’m just used to putting my veil away while I work here. It’s why I haven’t let you down here with me before. I’m afraid I can’t see my writing very well with it on.” A nod was your reply, though you eventually moved to tidy up the desk again.
“Well,” you started, turning away, “you’re still free to take your veil off, of course. Please don’t let my presence here with you stop you from working comfortably.” She shook her head, more to herself than you. “I’m afraid I can’t do that. I’d only scare you away with the hideous monstrosity I hide.” “I can assure you, my Lady, you won’t scare me. I’ve seen horrendous things both in Lady Dimitrescu’s and Lord Moreau’s domains. Besides, if you’re anything like your portrait by the stairs, I highly doubt you have a hideous monstrosity hidden away beneath that veil. You must be just as beautiful.”
Although she stood dumbfounded at your blunt choice of words for what felt like an eternity, you were soon greeted with a scoff. “You’re a fool to believe such a thing. You know nothing of me.” You turned to her then. Seeing the look of pure confusion and what seemed like betrayal contorting your features nearly made her regret her words instantly. “But… Lady Beneviento, I do know you. These past two years–”
“Stai zitto.”
Your small journey to return to her side was cut short at her harsh tone. Such a plain-spoken phrase, laced purely with a concoction of venom and insecurity. You couldn’t bring yourself to move any closer. “All you know of who I am has come solely from those wretched villagers who smear my name through the mud at every given opportunity. They’ve painted a portrait of me, and it’s been glazed over time and time again with their harsh judgment. That portrait is not me, nor is the one you claim to find beautiful.”
Her breathing grew ragged as she spoke, voice leaping in volume as she recalled every rumor that found its way floating through the village like a fog. A short moment passed before she had to drop the notebook onto the table. Her hands were shaking far too violently for her to hold it comfortably.
“Cazzo,” she hissed, clutching at her palms and squeezing them tightly together in a futile attempt to steady them. Finally regaining your courage, you stepped forward, placing a hand on her shoulder only for it to be slapped away. “Non toccarmi!” With your hands held up in surrender, you allowed yourself a brief moment to choose your words carefully. “Please, my Lady, listen to me.”
A mocking laugh met your words, Donna now turned to you with her arms crossed. You could see how her nails dug into her sleeves and skin to a painful degree. “I have no reason to listen to you,” she retorted coldly. “I know that, my Lady, but I’m only asking for a short amount of your time. Will you hear me out?”
Had you been able to see past her veil, you would’ve seen how her eye narrowed as it focused on you – would’ve seen her brow furrowing deeply and creasing her skin – and you would’ve seen her lips pulling themselves tightly back into a scowl. Regardless of being unable to see such things riddling her face, you could tell from her tense figure that she was truly uncomfortable. Even so, when she made no effort to decline again, you parted your lips to speak once again.
“I know you must think that I’ve followed and believed every rumor there is out in the village related to you, but I assure you I’ve never paid any mind to such unnecessary lies. I’ve seen you, and I’ve seen how you treat others, even if Angie is the one to speak for you. During my time at the castle, I was able to watch when you’d spend time with Lady Dimitrescu or her daughters. It was clear there was some tension with your sister whenever you’d speak to her about your meetings with Mother Miranda, but you always treated her kindly.
“I couldn’t understand why the other maids feared you each time you’d come to visit. I still don’t understand. You’re everything the villagers claimed you aren’t. You’re a kind soul, my Lady, and you’ve only continued to show me that with every passing day I’ve stayed here. When I grew bored after finishing my tasks for the day, you and Angie would help me find a way to entertain myself. You’ve provided me with shelter, food, security, and a type of friendship I’d never thought I’d find.” Slowly, you took her hands from her arms and cradled them in your own, watching as the pads of your thumbs grazed soothingly over the backs of her knuckles. She stiffened, though she didn’t pull away.
“I promise you that, regardless of whatever you may think is bad enough to keep hidden even in the safety of your own home, I will never judge you for who you truly are. There’s nothing you could do to make me turn away from you.” Silence became tension once again, though you weren’t sure if it was caused by your words or your close proximity to the doll-maker.
You didn’t pull away, instead standing there and waiting for any kind of reply from her, even if she were to shove you away. Surprise flooded your senses when you felt her hands finally shift in yours to comfortably squeeze them back in return. “You’re an incredibly naive woman,” she mumbled, though there was only affection in her voice. It was clear she was smiling as she spoke. You smiled back at her.
Hesitating, you wondered if it would be acceptable for you to ask her to remove her veil. As though she could hear your thoughts, she slipped her hands out from yours, lifting them to her veil and toying with the hem. When she paused, you glanced back up at her with curiosity. “Would you mind turning around for a moment?” You nodded and obeyed instantly without a word, turning on your heel and waiting patiently for her to let you turn her way again.
It only took a moment for her to shuffle a bit behind you before you were granted permission to face her. When you did, you smiled at the sight of her veil pinned partially away from her face, only revealing half of the same face you saw each day when you’d pass her portrait.
“I was right. You’re beautiful.”
You had managed to gain enough of her trust for her to reveal the healthier side of herself, though it took even longer to see that part of her consistently. Another two years flashed by. You had grown rather close to Donna, so much so that you were finally allowed to address her by her name, and she sat you down in her room one night for a talk. It was then that the whole of her veil was finally removed and set aside. Putting every bit of her trust in you in that moment, she showed you the worst part of her – the part she despised the most.
She had expected anything but the reaction you had. As she built up her courage over time, she had imagined you losing every ounce of color in your face, your skin growing clammy. She pictured you screaming or groaning in utter disgust. She even envisioned you treating her like the monster she was and running for your life, leaving her all alone again.
But you did none of those things. You smiled at her so kindly, and it was a shock to her system to see the adoration in your eyes only grow at the sight of her. “My god,” you whispered, lifting your hands and cradling her face in them without hesitation. It was impossible for her to hide the crimson reddening her face at your actions, affection still an entirely foreign concept to her. “You’re just as stunning as I figured, Donna.”
A quiet laugh escaped her as she shook her head as much as she could in your hold. “I’ll never understand how you find everything beautiful.”
Even as she protested against how genuine you were being, some part of her finally felt at ease. She had shown you her biggest vulnerability, and you were still desperate to stay by her side. Each time she took her veil off in your company, you were nothing but positive, tossing out compliment after compliment in her direction.
Soon, she could be found lingering around the house as she worked, lacking her veil on most days. She’d tug it back on if the Dimitrescus came for a visit or if she had another family meeting with Mother Miranda and her siblings, but she found it far too comfortable when she was alone with you to hide herself away. With time, her trust in you grew alongside her endearment, and it didn’t take long for her to understand what her feelings for you were. She denied them for months, but Angie eventually scolded her for being so cowardly, expressing her annoyance with seeing just how hopeless Donna was on her own.
She spent time – weeks leading to months – trying to conjure up a plan on how she could let you know of her feelings. There were so many things she wanted to try, wanting to ensure her confession was genuine and romantic.
However, none of those plans came to light. Her feelings were made known purely by chance.
You had invited her to watch a movie that Angie had picked out from the Duke’s cart. She accepted with glee, thrilled just as she always was when you made an effort to include her in your plans. With her help, you set up the film and flipped on the projector before planting yourself on the sofa and making yourself comfortable. Donna watched fondly as you bundled up underneath a soft blanket and grabbed the bowl of popcorn you and Angie had prepared ahead of time.
With a smile, she joined you on the couch, albeit leaving a few inches of space between you to avoid coming across as too bold. She let herself lean against the back of the sofa, resting her head against the cushioning with a content sigh as her gaze focused forward on the film. As the movie progressed, you shared a few words with her, though – much to Angie’s dismay – it quickly turned into playful banter, something that had become a common occurrence.
Already knowing where things were headed, Angie snuck out of the room without notice. At one point, Donna moved closer with one of her teasing remarks, her hand sliding to you and resting on your hip without much thought. You didn’t refuse her touch, nor did you seem uncomfortable. You seemed rather inviting with her affection. You made it clear that you didn’t mind when you pulled her into your arms and practically cocooned her with the blanket.
She yelped in surprise at first, but you both burst into fits of giggles immediately after. Her laughter settled before yours, and she was left to gaze up at you, eye stricken with so much love that she was sure you could see hearts in it. Her smile was warm when you calmed yourself and stared back down at her. Curiosity sparked in her for a moment, wondering if you could feel her heart hammering heavily against her ribs as clearly as she could hear it in her ears, though it was diminished and replaced with the all-too-familiar feeling of need and desperation.
No other words had to be shared, she knew. It was clear from the small gleam in your eyes that you were needing her just as badly as she needed you in that moment. Surprisingly keeping her composure, Donna leaned up until she hovered above you, leaving you to feel her breath on your lips as they brushed against hers. One look back at you let her know everything was okay, and she finally allowed herself to close the gap, sighing in satisfaction at the feeling of being so close to you.
Every urge and ounce of desperation for intimacy that had built up over the years finally melted away peacefully that night and was instead replaced by the love that swelled up in her heart. As you laid in her arms, head resting against her bare chest as you slowly caught your breath again, she tilted her head down and pressed another feather-like kiss to the top of your head. When you turned to look up at her, she smiled.
“I love you.”
The next several days that followed, those three words were shared between you and Donna on a near-constant basis. They were heard so frequently that Angie insisted she carry a blanket or pillow around to cover her ears with, whining each time you or the doll-maker made a flirty or corny comment to the other. Donna had essentially attached herself to your side, always wanting to be where you were and vice versa. When you’d end up alone in a separate room, it wouldn’t take long for her to find you and join you in whatever you were doing.
A week after her confession, she’d unwillingly headed off to another family meeting. You had to convince her that morning to get up for the day. She clung to you in bed, groaning and whining anytime you tried to pull away, until you ultimately managed to wake her up properly with the promises of those kisses she adored so much. Reluctantly, she got dressed after a quick shower and wandered downstairs with you, where you peppered her face in kisses before helping her put her veil on, watching with a smile as Angie hopped into her arms once she made it to the front door.
You waved goodbye to her as she left, then returned to bed to rest for a while longer. After waking up only a couple of hours later, you trudged to the lift, then across the house until you made it into the kitchen, which only caused your stomach to growl loudly in anticipation. Rummaging through the cabinets and pantry resulted in you finding a small box of pasta and several herbs and spices to add to it. It didn’t take long to collect everything you needed before you found yourself standing by the stove, chopping up your chosen ingredients with a practiced ease.
After accumulating everything onto the small cutting board, you shifted carefully to the stovetop, where you then began scraping the chopped up herbs into the pot of boiling water, then placed the board to the side as you grabbed the spices and sprinkled them in.
Shortly after setting the pasta into the pot, you heard the front door open and shut. Immediately after, Angie’s quick footsteps echoed throughout the house until they eventually vanished upstairs. You hummed and smiled to yourself. She was most likely looking for you. “Tesoro?” Donna’s voice called out gently, helping you realize she was still by the front door. Heavier but slower footsteps were heard rounding the corner and nearing the entrance to the kitchen, ones in which you recognized right away. You turned to look at her when she walked in, smiling gleefully when you saw her veil had already been removed, fully allowing you to see how her eye lit up and her lips tugged upwards into a smile at the sight of you.
“Hey,” you whispered, voice still thick with fatigue. “You’re home.” She nodded, sauntering to stand behind you and plant her hands firmly on your hips, leaning forward to let her lips graze over the side of your neck. “I missed you,” she murmured against your skin, smiling when you chuckled. “You were only gone for a couple of hours.” “Yes, but I wasn’t exactly thrilled to leave this morning, if you recall. Those damned meetings are never useful anyway. I’m not sure why Mother Miranda insists we have them. It always just ends with Alcina and Karl arguing.”
Humming in thought, you slipped your hands down to rest on top of hers, briefly lifting one to peck the backs of her knuckles before lowering it to rest on your hip again. “Well, it’s over now, so you can relax again. You’re home.”
A sigh slipped past her lips as she moved to pull you back until you rested comfortably against her front, allowing her to wrap her arms around you properly. Again, her face returned to hide in the comfort of your skin, her lips pressed gently against your shoulder. Far before you ever arrived at her home, she had gone to countless family meetings, all of which ended the same: returning to the manor with a throbbing headache that she would have to deal with all alone.
She supposed she owed thanks to her older sister for introducing you into her life. Next time, she promised herself, she would tell her how grateful she was, but for now, she only wanted to cradle you in her arms and let all the stress and tension from the day melt away. You were the very thing that made this place a home – you were her home. Never again would she have to worry about isolation, nor would she dread returning to the estate each time she left, the cold, empty silence a long-forgotten memory now that she had you.
Humming, she hid herself further against you, allowing her eye to fall shut as she took in everything about you that never failed to bring her comfort and peace. She nodded.
“Yes. Now that I have you in my arms again, I am.”

It's true, they did. Not that either you or Finney could deny such a claim because that's exactly what it felt like. What it was. Innocent, blissful, doting puppy love.
Who's "they", you ask?
Well, literally everyone. Your parent(s), his father and sister, your friends, his friends, other peers/classmates... hell, even the strangers that looked at you two long enough, observing, could tell- No, feel the love radiating from you two at what seemed like all times.
Which you found surprising, seeing as you two were under the impression that your relationship was kept rather private to the naked eye, but I'll get to that in a second.
Even before you two had made it official, the mutual crush was painfully obvious to any and everyone around. It was in the way your eyes would find their way over to him whenever he walked into the classroom, worry filling them to the brim should he adorn any bruises and/or scars from any bullies of his.
The way he'd fidget whenever you were in his line of sight, biting his thumb at his desk if you sat close enough to him or clicking that space-themed pen over and over again when you breezed by him in the halls.
God forbid you said hi to him when you did. Poor thing would just melt, remember he had to respond back, and then go, "H-...hi...!" when you were already long gone😭.
And oh my god, you'd better believe Gwen and Robin were getting an earful, damn near every topic of conversation somehow circling back to you. Vice versa for Donna, knowing it was no use trying to pry any other subject from that brain of yours because it was all muddled with "Finney this..." and "Finney that..."
So yeah, though elated when you two finally became an item, nobody was shocked. Not even a little.
But anyhow, dating Finney is so sweet, and quiet, and peaceful (if that makes sense). It's just very loving and calming, with LOTS of a reassuring being done between the both of you. I feel as though Finney is just a naturally semi-anxious person but he also masks really well, so for the first while of your relationship, you spent it gently poking and prodding away, letting him know he could trust you fully with any and everything.
It's lots of sweet touches - hand holding, you rubbing his shoulders/back/arms often, him moving hair from out of your face or shooing away small bugs/dust from your person, face cupping - little things that bring about butterflies, even if it's been months (maybe even years) into the relationship😭.
AND THE KISSESSSSJFJEKDO omg- (sorry I just💀🥴-) He's such a huge fan of little pecks, I mean, sure... an actual KISS-kiss or a makeout sesh is fun-cool-awesome whatever, but bro actually forgets how to breathe for a second when you randomly peck him on the cheek or lips. The biggest grin in the whole world just spawns on his face if you bound up to him and the first thing you do is, "Hey, Finn!" and give him a lil' kiss right there on his nose.
And forehead kisses are something sooo special to him. He gives those out left and right, yes he does😌. There's something about them that just makes him feel like he's cherishing you and that he's just pouring all of his love and adoration into you, y'know? Plus, he loves the way you'll watch him carefully each time, too. Like, not saying he's the biggest fan of being watched at all, but in this instance, he doesn't mind and actually wants you to see/prepare for that special kiss he's delivering.
Which, speaking of, he's not fond of PDA. If anything, the most he can tolerate is hand-holding and just a short/small peck when you greet each other. But anything more, he's pretty inclined to reserve it for when you two are alone. Or at most, amongst well-known/close friends/family. Although, he won't shy/pull away if you want to hold his hand under the table/desk. And he won't move away if your legs or shoulders are touching if you two are doing/working on something together.
Cuddling/hugging? Bed and/or couch activity only, and can not - I repeat - CAN NOT be interrupted, or he'll be so salty about it. Again, it's a very special thing for him, getting to hold you, feel you, hear your heartbeat (or vice versa if you're laying on his chest). He gets to just sit and admire you, whether it be in comfortable silence or if you two are quietly talking, using this time to memorize each and every single feature on your face over and over again (hoping you're doing the same for him). So yeah, Gwen waltzing right on in without knocking, or your parent calling you two down for dinner definitely kills that vibe for him.
You might giggle at the way he goes, "mncht..." and rolls his eyes, but baby, he ain't laughing at all💀.
Hell, even you two talking with each other is pretty intimate and soft. He's never once raised his voice at you (even if he's upset), is always asking your opinions/thoughts on things and what the vibe is before moving forward, and the only time you've ever spoken over each other is when you guys are hyperfixating on a common topic and are getting really excited.
WHICH ‼️‼️ omg if you're an astrology girly, lord knows this boy... You got him, he's hooked, he's never leaving you alone. Fate - sealed. While yes, he's an astroNOMY guy, which is more science-based and leans towards a more logical outlook, he loves that with you/astroLOGY comes this inate belief and spiritual outlook. He LOVES that you've attached meanings to the stars and space-stuff that he already really fucks with. Like, star signs and shit? He might not fully understand it (will definitely strive to, though), but oh my god, he practically foams at the mouth when you start listing them off, giving definitions, pointing out the connections between yours and his, etcetc.
And on the flipside, he loves that you let him pop off about whatever he's got in the tank. Black holes, other planets outside our solar system, the possibility of extraterrestrial life, rockets,,, whatever he's spitting, you're all ears without even a shred of judgment.
Plus, like I mentioned, there's a lot of healthy communication/checking in between the both of you. Lots of, "Are you okay?" "How are you feeling?" "Did you eat today?" "What'cha thinking about?" "I'll call you later today/tonight, okay?" type of stuff, along with the silly, all over the place topics and the long, "today was shit" rants, of course.
To try and sum it up/ball up the millions of other things I have running through my mind (I'm trying not to make this longer than it needs to be💀✋🏽), he's basically a huge sucker for the love between you two. Loves that you listen and loves listening to you, loves knowing that you're there (especially physically, like, again, not a huge fan of PDA but really, truly can't get enough of your touches and calming rubs and cute little pokes/boops soooo😗... *cut to Finney wayyy too eager to get to either yours or his house so he can shut his brain off and cuddle with you*). He loves loving you and being with you, like...
AUGHFHSJH and he LOVES making you happy, finding every and any new way to impress you. He likes taking you to go get snacks from the Grab'n'Go; I'm talking the second this man gets a LITTLE bit of change from who knows where, the first thing on his mind is, "What should I get (Y/N)?" Or taking you along with Robin to the drive in when they go see movies, or to the diner to get milkshakes...
In all honesty, anything - spending time with you outside of school - is a date to him. Y'all could walk circles around a small ass park fifty-million times, and he'll drop you off at home like, "I had fun today. Thank you for letting me take you out :)♡." Like what a sweetie😭.
But if it's an "actual" date you're craving, he'll come up with and spend hours prepping little makeshift ideas that he'll enlist Gwen to help him with. Some of his best have been stargazing (with all of the stops, of course - snacks, drinks, books to read and flashlights, blankets and pillows, etcetc.), library dates where you guys spend nearly the whole day skimming through each and every section to look for new interests and topics, 👹CRAFTING!!!👹...
Finney is a craft king, argue with the wall😐.
Point is,,, Finney Blake loves you to the moon and back, and is still in mild shock that you feel the same way (y'all could be married with twins, a dog, and two cats and bro will wake up next to you in the morning like, "...She loves me🥹🩵??"), and if allotted, I'd go on forever and ever.
But I won't😻!
If asked one of these days, though, I would totally be down for writing general headcannons about all of the boys +Donna and Gwen +Max and other adults and characters that aren't canon but might as well be canon in my head because I have SO many thoughts😃...😀...*eye twitches*...
soyeahanywaysBYE👋🏽✨️.

𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬...
for both the long wait and the fact that I went a little crazy at the end, but it's fine xD🩷. I really enjoyed writing this, and I hope it satisfies. I feel like there's some parts where I fell off a little bit and then got back into the groove, but yeah...
good news is, I can only improve from here, so don't be shy to request more :)!

the dimitrescu’s + donna when you’re sick:
disclaimers: implied female reader, sfw, not proofread
warning: illness but not particularly described
alcina:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ffa6167a75742eca1a9aa45a4cfcdeb2/fb8507235900d4b0-75/s540x810/903412b2d3df9845b3ea106f34c7f4df11360308.jpg)
- she doesn’t notice straight away because she’s so wrapped up in her work but the moment she sees you she knows
- you aren’t allowed to leave her chambers
- oh, you want a drink? well you’ve got to ask the maid that she’s stationed to your bedside until she gets back
- she personally runs you a bath to settle your temperature
- alci will act all calm and collected on the outside as to not panic you but oh on the inside she’s terrified that something worse than illness can happen to you
- she’s more noticeably on edge towards everyone else though, she hasn’t got you, her comfort shadow, following her around all day
bela:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/588c2e2049a53bfdf4d3839cb44d3162/fb8507235900d4b0-b0/s540x810/45a5aa24a439801ec373cbf7f9d0ca017f8aa29f.jpg)
- from the corner of her eye she can see your head constantly dropping and bouncing right back up as you read and try to fight of exhaustion
- she holds her hand to your forehead to push your head up but that leads her notice the rise in your temperature
- she’s read enough novels to understand that you’re sick
- instantly trying to remember all the ways in which the characters in books take care of their partners
- she’ll read to you as she burns some of the herbs that donna told her will make you feel better
cassandra:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b01170539c40f8f7726ff1973728646d/fb8507235900d4b0-5c/s540x810/5f1bceccc861d5820e6e608174d445ab60da8153.jpg)
- she’s so aggressively caring
- doesn’t quite understand that you’re i’ll until you can’t hold up the dagger she gave to you
- yeh, that other maid that brought the flu into the castle isn’t going to last very long. how dare they make you sick?
- you’re not allowed out of her sight for even a second
- but she’s honestly scared that her rough touch is going to hurt you more than you’re already aching
- you have to remind her that you want and need her touch because it comforts you
- it is gameover for any maid that thinks they can get close to you
daniela:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/adb863ae5ad25717a3b1e633cdea87e0/fb8507235900d4b0-2c/s540x810/a02b8b7886e37fd4b1efd7af36e135487ced7877.jpg)
- poor baby doesn’t understand what’s happening to you
- at first she’s quite oblivious to your change in pace and demeanour, she’s too caught up literally jumping off the walls
- it takes bela asking dani why your face was pale and why your were sweating profusely
- and then it all crashes down on her, she honestly thinks her human is dying, she all but carries you to alcina demanding she saves you from deaths door
- alcina has to explain that humans sometimes get sick, she also tells her some ways that will speed up your recovery process
- in the end it works perfectly because she can comfort you without the prospect of becoming ill and you’re so warm that it does wonders to warm her through the winter
- she is a little mopey that you can’t be as active and play games with her though
donna:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6f220e930937dc2fa8cba890be2df708/fb8507235900d4b0-99/s540x810/4de16a30b015be262f80ed729921def40388a08b.jpg)
- notices straight away, as soon as your temperature starts to rise she’s on it
- it probably also helped that angie kept complaining that you were broken (you were too exhausted to play tag with her)
- she’ll treat you even more delicately than she did before
- being waited on hand and foot, you’ve always got a warm tea ready for you
- donna trying to keep her dolls away from you (they really just wanted to help but donna figured that them climbing all over you wasn’t much help)
- she definitely knows some sort of concoction that’ll get you feeling better faster than normal

Begging
Pairing: Donna Beneviento x Fem! Reader
Warnings: G!P Donna, smut, Minors DNI, fluff…
Word count: 6.231
Summary: Revenges are sweet....
N/A: Sorry about the language mistakes!!! Requests are open!!! I love you all!!! :))
“Good morning...” you hummed in Donna's ear, after turning around in bed several times.
The woman accompanying you growled in annoyance, making you smile with a mixture of evil and tenderness.
Yes, out of all the people in the village, you might be lucky enough to win the heart of one of its Lords, Donna Beneviento, but that didn't mean that your life would become a succession of boring routines, of shared silences accompanied by two cups of tea.
You were never a boring girl, or an innocent one. You always tried to have some control over the things that happened around you, even living with someone you kept hearing horrible things about.
Dangerous, crazy, sick, strange... All those adjectives that always accompanied the one who was now the love of your life were always in your head, but, certainly, you were never able to verify for yourself that they were really true.
Legends were common in the village, and Donna was no ordinary person. Even so, you did not expect that everything they said would dissolve so quickly, thus discovering a shy, withdrawn and lonely woman, who, despite not needing anyone, she did, a lot.
A beauty spoiled at an early age, a body that changed without asking permission… It seemed more than enough reasons for Donna to stop wanting to share her life with someone. You couldn't tell if she had good or bad luck finding you that day wandering around her grounds.
You, the complete opposite of her, happy, outgoing and daring, were the one who made the Lord lose control of her emotions, the one who were really able to discover what that black veil was hiding, as well as that sad and dark presence.
You would be lying if you said that at first it wasn't difficult to understand this poor unfortunate soul, but, little by little, you reached a point of stability with Donna that allowed you to go much deeper, to love her much more.
But like everything, in the end the phase of discovery, of passionate madness, gave way to a much calmer one, like a ship sailing with a light breeze, through calm waters.
Even though you knew nothing about long relationships, or what commitment really meant, you let yourself be carried away by the love you felt, settling definitively with Lady Beneviento, living with her, being with her just as you promised, forever.
The lady in black's shyness was never a problem for you, you always overcame it. But for several days now, the interest that the brunette had in you, or in your body, seemed to have vanished like a candle that goes out with a breath. Maybe the problem was your insatiable thirst for lust.
“Donna...” you murmured amused, biting her earlobe, deciding that day would be the last of that unexpected drought. Or maybe not... You still weren't sure how to handle it. Maybe you would play with her, maybe...
“(Y/N)... What time is it?” Donna asked, turning on the nightstand light.
“I don't know, I guess in the morning,” you replied, rolling your eyes at her passivity and her morning whines, ones that you found adorable.
She turned and kissed you quickly sketching a more awake smile, breathing deeply, admiring you, as if the simple fact that you were next to her awakening was like a gift, like a miracle to her.
But no, you couldn't get lost in that look. You couldn't let her tenderness, her shy smile, turn you away from the side of sin and put back your evil plans.
“Are you very interested in knowing the time?” you asked with an amused tone, running a hand across her chest, making her frown at your cheeky tone. “I’m not.”
“Well, maybe you're hungry. Shall I prepare breakfast for you?” she asked innocently, removing your hand from her chest, ready to abandon you once again.
You whined and shook your head, holding Donna next to you under the covers, pulling her by her waist and earning you another of her charming smiles and an additional blush.
“Mm no, I'm not hungry, but...” you murmured, lowering your hands to her legs, acting quickly to catch her off guard.
“(Y/N),” Donna protested, cringing when one of your hands ran over the small bulge between her legs. You smiled triumphantly, watching as she seemed to fall into your trap, or at least, her body fell into your trap.
“Don't you want to stay with me a little longer? I think you do...” you whispered in her ear, increasing the pace of your soft caresses between her legs, making the brunette gasp from the pleasure of your contact, and from the always exaggerated reaction of her body.
“Okay, okay,” she responded with a smile, releasing her eager erection so your caresses weren't just superficial. You nodded with that same mischievous smile, kissing her slowly as your hand slowly hugged her shaft, causing her to moan into your lips.
Well, you expected a similar reaction and you couldn't complain, but seeing the pleasure that your caresses gave Donna, an even more perverse idea crossed your mind. It was impossible for her to understand that your needs went beyond those of an ordinary human being. Sometimes you thought you were the very daughter of sin itself.
A week of abstinence for you was like an undeserved punishment. You knew that Donna wasn't doing it on purpose, that her duties as a Lord and her dolls were the only things that kept her entertained, apart from spending time with you, of course.
She probably simply forgot to please you as she should, or as you considered was due. You couldn't blame her, but still, you considered appropriate to vent a little revenge.
The kisses were wet, hungry. Moans filled the room and her hands roamed all over your body, going under your pajamas. Her gentle touch was more than enough to make you lose your mind, but this time you would have to be strong.
“I want you, (Y/N),” Donna whispered in your ear, slowly lowering your pants, placing herself on top of you to make you hers.
You couldn't hold back a moan when you felt her erection slowly caressing your wet entrance. Once again, your irrational desire for revenge overshadowed that intense pleasure and a wicked smile formed on your face when you placed your hands on her chest.
“On second thought... Yes, I think I'm a bit hungry,” you said in a casual tone, as if the atmosphere had not heated up, as if you had simply just gotten up, preventing Donna from moving closer, pushing her gently.
“Sorry?” she asked, her eye wide, surprised and clearly frustrated by your reaction. You smiled, kissing her quickly and crawling out of bed. “Hey, wait a minute.”
“What?” you asked as you pulled your pants back up, ignoring her surprised look and her pitiful stance. “Is anything wrong?”
“No, well, yes, what was that for?” the lady stammered, covering herself with her nightgown and also getting out of bed.
Of course, you knew exactly what she meant, but you decided to follow your plan and play the innocent little girl. You frowned, approaching slowly, trying not to be tempted by the bulge that the thin fabric of her clothing revealed.
“I don't know what you're talking about,” you said, looking away from her, caressing her cheek erratically, making Donna move nervously, confused. “Anyway, I'm going to take a shower.”
“Fine, I'm going with you,” she said hurriedly, just when you were about to leave the room indifferently, as if you hadn't done anything. Yes, yes, yes you had.
“No, well, no...” you said amused, shaking your head, leaving the doll maker even more petrified, breathing nervously. “Why don't you make me that delicious coffee you make? You know I love it.”
“Coffee,” Donna sighed, letting her shoulders slump, not understanding how strange your behavior was, with the gleam of her desire still decorating her eye. You nodded, tilting your head slightly, pretending to pout.
“Yes, coffee,” you said amused, whispering your words in a sensual but subtle way at the same time. “Did you perhaps want something else, my love?”
“I... No,” she sighed in defeat, discreetly looking down, surely wishing that her arousal would stop giving away her true intentions, those that you didn’t want to follow. “I'll go right away.”
“Great, see you,” you commented, giving her another quick kiss and leaving the room, holding back your laughter. She didn't answer, obviously.
At least that shower calmed your own desire. Playing with women was always your favorite pastime, putting them under your control, making them want you so much that they begged to have you. With Donna it was different, it was always different. But you were still the same naughty girl. A bit of domination wasn't going to hurt the lady in black.
After your shower, you walked slowly down the hallway, humming with a wide smile on your face. To your surprise, Donna wasn't in the kitchen, yet.
“Hello,” she said after a few moments, with a serious voice, already dressed in that black dress, with her hair tied up in that messy bun you loved to undo. You smiled at that dry greeting, noticing her serious look, her frustration at your actions.
“You took it easy,” you murmured, amused, leaving the countertop and approaching her slowly, making her turn around and her gaze fixate on yours with some resentment.
“If you hadn't made me feel like this, it wouldn't have taken me that long,” she said in a low voice, looking for the old coffee grinder on the kitchen shelves. You laughed, pointing at yourself and blinking repeatedly, with a mocking look.
“Oh, me?” you said, feigning confusion, putting on your best good girl face.
“Yes, you,” Donna replied, pouring the coffee beans into that old machine. “Don't pretend you don't know what you've done.”
“Oh, do I detect resentment in your sweet words?” you joked, grabbing her waist, making her shift uncomfortably again. “What have you been doing for so long?” you whispered in her ear, causing her body to tense again, but with a cold expression.
“Niente,” she whispered back, moving you away so she could grind the coffee like every morning, it was a pity your grip prevented her from doing it properly.
“Nothing, huh?” you continued joking, speaking very close to her ear, with your hands traveling along her waist, trying to make her nervous again. Well, Donna would be nervous, but it wasn't that kind of nervousness you wanted. “You haven't cheated, have you, Donna?”
“Cheat? What are you talking about?” the lady in black wanted to know, with a tone that could not hide her annoyance at your cruel act.
“You know, maybe you couldn't take it anymore and...” you said amused, making the gesture with her hand, moving away from her.
Donna stopped grinding the coffee and looked at you sharply, shaking her head.
“No, (Y/N), you know I haven't done that since I've known you,” she said offended, as if your naughty question was an attempt to test the trust you had in her, which wasn't true, not even the slightest bit.
“Wow, I would have loved to watch it,” you said, this time whispering in her ear, returning your hands to her waist, slowly going down her legs.
“What is wrong with you today?” Donna asked, less upset, but curious. You couldn't blame her. That behavior of yours was something she didn't know about. “You excite me and then leave me and…”
“It wasn't my intention,” you said with a false apology, without giving it importance. Donna grunted, but she returned her gaze to the coffee and continued grinding it.
“I had to wait for it to go down, and it was more difficult than other times,” the lady confessed, to which you raised your eyebrows, trying not to smile triumphantly.
“Wow... I gave you a hard time, huh?” you murmured in a childish voice, resting your head on her shoulder, leaving the subtlety of your caresses on one side, traveling along her dress, passing slowly between her legs.
“Well, yes,” she said, with a sigh, leaving the grinder on the side of the counter, trying to move, to free herself from your grip, something she couldn't do.
“I'm sorry, honey,” you said with a sincere tone, turning the woman to look at you. Her expression had relaxed but her breathing was quite the opposite, probably due to your hands caressing her body, exciting her again. “Come here, let me make it up to you.”
“But, but, the coffee,” Donna protested, when your hand caressed her shaft, hardened again by your skillful hands, by that insatiable thirst of your body.
“Are you worried about the coffee?” you asked with that same good girl tone, stopping caressing the fabric of her dress, reaching under it and feeling her erection through her underwear.
“No, not at all,” Donna responded abruptly, shaking her head, closing her eye to enjoy your caresses more, the small kisses that you began to place on her neck.
You smiled against her skin as your hand freed her trembling shaft beneath the black fabric of the dress, fabric that covered her own embarrassment, one that didn't match her body's reactions at all.
“Shh, darling, calm down,” you whispered, moving your hand up and down, caressing her slowly, squeezing her most sensitive spots, causing those shy moans again.
“Faster, please,” she asked you, unable to look at you, unable to show the pleasure that your caresses gave her. Her shyness was always one of the things that turned you on the most.
“Okay...” you whispered nodding pleased with that request, kissing her slowly, letting her hands tangle through your hair while your movements caused small spasms in her hips.
“So... Close...” the lady in black murmured, shifting against the counter, trying to concentrate on something different than your hand stimulating her erection.
It was evident to you the truth that resided in her words, the incipient moisture you felt in your hand. A small part of you wanted to grant her wish, to stain her dress, to make her blush for it. An amazing sight for your brain, one you would remember. But your other side, a little more perverse, wanted to continue with that torture, with that silent revenge.
You didn't have to think which of the two sides would win. You already knew it, perfectly. Your hand stopped little by little, stopping stimulating Donna, who protested with a moan, opening her eye to check what was happening.
“Donna, the coffee...” you said, suddenly releasing her, moving away as if you were scared, something she did too, looking directly at the counter and then at you, repeating the process several times.
“What? What’s wrong with it?” she asked, looking at the grinder with curiosity, breathing heavily, rearranging her clothes.
“It's going to get damaged if you leave it there for too long, right?” You said, crossing your arms, showing with your posture that your hand would not play again, something that Donna soon discovered.
“But, but, (Y/N)…” she said protesting your actions, shaking her head, with a grimace of absolute frustration.
“You better prepare it before it loses its properties,” you commented with complete indifference, making her gaze harden more and more.
“My mind, (Y/N), I'm going to lose my mind,” Donna said, surprised and obviously upset by your attitude, going back to work in that coffee.
“Don't exaggerate...” you murmured, hanging on to her neck, despite her movements of rejection and the continuous avoidance of your gaze. “I'm going to set the table. Oh, one more thing,” you commented, before disappearing through the door again.
Donna looked at you as she poured the coffee into the pot, a dark shadow in her eye, but her breathing calmer, almost as if she had given up.
“Don't cheat, okay?” you murmured jokingly, peeking around the door frame.
“Vaffanculo!” she screeched, bursting into comical rage, playfully throwing a dish towel at you, missing as you ran out of the room, holding back your laughter.
You quickly went upstairs. You were clearly enjoying it too much.
“Your coffee,” Donna said, pouring you a cup in a slightly unpleasant way, with that dark shine in her eye. You smiled tenderly at her, thanking her without speaking, just moving your mouth.
The lady in black dropped into the chair in front of you, with a tired sigh, pouring herself some of that bitter liquid.
When you brought your cup to your mouth, you immediately noticed a bitterer taste than usual, as if it had been burned. You made a strange face, leaving the cup on the table, seeing that Donna made exactly the same gesture as you.
“Wow... It's intense,” you said amused, pretending to shiver.
“It's not intense (Y/N), it's burned, thanks to you,” she told you, maintaining a slightly proud posture, something that the trembling of her hands overshadowed.
“Me? What have I done?” you asked, feigning surprise, feigning again that innocence you didn't have. “I was up here setting the table.”
“Yeah, sure,” she said, nodding and leaning back with her arms crossed. “Tell me, what have I done for you to make me suffer like this?”
“You haven't done anything, my love,” you said passively, pouring oil on your toast. “Do you want one?” You asked, offering the piece of bread to the lady, who grunted in annoyance, standing up from her chair.
“I'm going to the workshop,” she said dryly, drinking that burnt coffee in one gulp and cowardly fleeing from your presence, which made you sigh tenderly, wishing she didn't see your sinister smile.
“Don't you want to have breakfast?” you asked, pouting again.
“No! I don't want to,” she said, already entering the elevator hallway. You shook your head, biting your lip.
“Poor Donna, am I being cruel to you?” you said to yourself, taking a bite of your toast, amused by your actions and by her nervous and erratic behavior.
But your conscience prevented you from continuing to attack her, at least for a few hours.
Bored, you looked for something to entertain yourself before assaulting her again. The idea of revenge was already blurred. Saying you acted like that just for revenge was just a simple excuse. You always enjoyed doing that kind of things with your short relationships.
The mere idea of being dominant, of feeling able to decide whether or not to comply with the wishes of a person as important as Donna, sounded so exciting in your head that you yourself had to make an effort not to fall into your own trap.
“Mm, time to eat...” you murmured when your stomach coincided with the time the clock announced.
The morning had passed too slowly. Neither Donna nor even the Angie doll had made an appearance. Was it your fault? Surely, and that made you smile.
But the hands of the clock showed something strange, a strange lack of punctuality in the brunette. It was later than usual, and no delicious aroma was rising up the elevator shaft.
Taking that small delay as an excuse to continue your little game, you went down the elevator, humming as usual, like you always did, every time you were going to do something bad.
“Anyone there?” you asked, knocking softly on the doors of the workshop.
“No,” a hoarse and gruff voice responded from the other side, returning an evil smile to your face.
“Donna, it's half past one,” you said, ignoring her unsubtle way of saying she didn't want to see you and entering the workshop, walking towards her and hugging her from behind, wrapping your hands around her chest.
“Thank you for the information,” she said, focused on knitting clothes for a small clown doll.
“Oh, come on, Donna, don't act like that with me... I just came because it's strange that you weren't cooking at this time of the afternoon,” you said, kissing her cheek and looking at her from her shoulder, a look that she returned, a bit listless.
“I'm taking refuge,” she said with a half-smile, stopping sewing and moving so your grip would stay in that place, and not dare to go down.
“Refuge?” you asked, frowning amusedly.
“Yes, from you,” she stated, corroborating your suspicions, something that made you let her go and lean against the table, with your arms crossed in a cocky and arrogant posture.
“I must be terrible,” you murmured, looking at your nails, ignoring the heavy feeling that her gaze conveyed.
“Sometimes you are,” Donna commented, returning to the fabric, sewing to distract her mind from your pernicious game.
“Okay, okay... I admit I went a little overboard,” you said, separating yourself from the table and forcing the lady to look at you.
“Oh, you admit it, good,” she said, with a satisfied smile, relaxing the expression of resentment towards you a bit.
“How can I make it up to you, my love?” you asked, with a sensual voice, bending down to be at the level of her lips but only touching them, without kissing them, making Donna moan again.
“Easy, finish what you've started,” she whispered in your ear, with a voice perhaps too dominant, something that made your body tremble with desire. Well, maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to end that game at that moment.
You raised an eyebrow, turning away to look at the lady, who was smiling almost the same way as you, patting her lap, motioning for you to sit down.
You rolled your eyes but nodded, kissing your lover deeply as you fulfilled her wishes.
It didn't take long for you to notice her erection again in your wetness, so close, so trembling... You moved, thus increasing the contact, the friction of your hips and her shy moans.
“You're in a hurry,” you commented when her fingers moved your underwear to the side, entering you quickly but gently, never wanting to hurt you. Donna nodded, sighing in relief as she felt your body hugging hers, holding your hips and moving them as she pleased.
You moaned too, looking for a comfortable position in that old chair. Honestly, you could have given in to your own desire, you could have continued enjoying that sensation so much, the way her shaft was pushing its way through your walls.
But your sinister side, that side that whispered evil things in your ear, had other plans.
Her moans became distorted into soft murmurs that you didn't understand. You shouldn't listen to them, or your body would surrender to its own pleasure. With great effort, just when her movements began to get out of control, you rose from the chair with a groan.
“What are you doing?” Donna asked. “(Y/N), I was about to…”
“I'm a bit hungry,” you said, putting on your dress and moving away from the trembling lady, who stood speechless, putting on her clothes as well.
“Hungry? What the...” she said, interrupted by a hand on her mouth and a mocking sound from your lips.
“Shhh, why don't you go prepare something to eat?” you asked, with an innocent voice, avoiding your lover's hatred and frustration, which was more than evident, in different aspects.
“No, come back, come back here,” she told you, pointing again at her lap, shaking her head, making you to laugh worse.
“I'm weak, Donna...” you said, caressing your stomach in a comical way, pretending to be that hungry.
“Weak, you're weak...” she sighed in disbelief, confused and almost desperate because of your painful attitude. “What do you want?”
“Nothing, I'm just telling you that without something in my stomach... Well, my capabilities are greatly reduced,” you said ironically, leaving Donna even more surprised and upset.
“No, that's not true... Okay, finish with me and then I'll make you something delicious, is that okay with you?” she proposed, reaching the agonizing negotiation phase, one that amused you even more.
“Oh, but how selfish of you,” you blurted out, feigning offense.
“Selfish? You've been torturing me all the morning. Do you know how...? How it hurts?” she asked you, lowering the tone of her voice, pressing her hands between her legs.
“Don't be dramatic, Donna...” you sighed, with a sympathetic smile, one that made the lady groan, crossing her arms in a slightly childish manner.
“I'm sorry, but no,” she said with a serious tone, trying to overcome your arrogance, something that was complicated. “I'm not going to cook.”
“No?” You asked, amused by her attitude.
“If you want me to cook, you know what you have to do,” the lady grumbled, looking at you comically.
“Well, whatever you want...” you sighed, with your dark side deciding for you again, walking indifferently towards the exit, but first, leaning towards her ear. “I'm not that hungry, I can hold on… The question is… Can you hold on?”
With that cheeky sneer, you left the workshop. Donna didn't respond, but you didn't expect her to do either. Maybe you were going too far, maybe you should leave her alone, just for a while.
Evening arrived. There was no sign of Donna, but you didn't want to seem desperate, or give up. If there had to be an undisputed champion of that macabre game, it had to be you.
With nothing better to do, you started reading, sighing worried. Your conscience took advantage of that moment of weakness to attack you, to make the idea of releasing your lover seem like the right one. In truth it was, but your dark and dominant side always prevailed over your compassion.
After a few moments of distraction thanks to that reading, the sound of the elevator startled you a little. It seemed that Donna had dedicated herself to getting out of the isolation, the protection and security of her workshop.
“Hello, darling,” you said kindly. Donna looked at you, walked towards you, but she didn't answer, she just sat next to you. She seemed nervous, good.
“Are you reading?” she asked with a hoarse, soft voice, as if her shyness had returned to your first days on the estate. You laughed, showing her the book with an amused smile.
“Well, I am, it seems quite obvious, right?” you joked, settling on her shoulder, sighing tenderly. You may have been dominant, but her perfume, the warmth of her body against yours in something as innocent as reading, was something that surpassed even your lust.
“Can you let me read with you?” she asked, moving your head to rest on her chest while her fingers played with your hair. You nodded slowly, surprised by that sudden change in attitude, by that lack of desperation in her voice.
Unfortunately for poor Donna, she wasn't the most subtle person in the world. Her expressions, her ways of acting were completely visible. She was up to something, and you were dying to know what it was.
Her lips made contact with your neck unexpectedly, kissing it slowly. You looked at her out of the corner of your eye, but you didn't do anything, you didn't say anything, you just settled in, intentionally giving her access to more corners of your skin.
Automatically she took the bait of your offer, running her hand over your chest, getting under your dress while her lips distracted yours passing over your skin so the pleasure of her kisses would divert your attention from the hands that were already climbing up your legs.
You laughed, pleased by her actions, and didn't make a move. You wanted to know what exactly she intended, that was certainly not her normal way of acting.
The moment her fingers passed through your underwear, the moment they made contact with the moisture that had resided between your legs since that morning, you understood what her intentions were. Poor Donna, sometimes she forgot that you were an experienced girl.
“Do you like it?” she asked seductively in your ear, making circles on your clit covered by that annoying fabric. You nodded and groaned, pretending to be distracted by the book, a book you stopped reading as soon as Donna showed up.
That approval of yours gave her enough courage to put her fingers under the fabric, sinking into the humidity of your folds, caressing your body with that delicacy that only she was capable of. You smiled, stealing a small kiss from her as your hips matched her slow movements, while the tips of her fingers surrounded your entrance like a predator cornering her prey. Poor thing, she still didn't know that the prey was her.
“Mm…” you moaned, giving her the silent permission you knew she always needed. You bit back another moan as her fingers entered you slowly, letting you enjoy every inch of that overwhelming sensation.
She didn't talk and neither did you. You simply limited yourself to enjoying her delicate hands on your body, that meticulous way with which she handled everything she touched, including you.
The movements were slow, soft, limited by your underwear still covering that lustful act that came out of nowhere, or rather, out of her mind. You bit your lip, you moaned, you let your hips increase the friction of her perfect joints, of her perfect, careful touch inside of you.
You may have been stronger than her, you may have seen her intentions, but those were not enough reasons not to let yourself be carried away by her actions. Donna could have sworn that she was inexperienced before meeting you, but due to things like that, you had a hard time believing it.
You dropped the book you weren't reading on the couch, closing your eyes, feeling your will to continue playing that sinister game gradually weakening.
“You're close, I can feel it...” Donna whispered in your ear, making your body respond by nodding involuntarily, biting your lip for the betrayal that pleasure made you endure.
“Yes...” you responded, giving yourself away even more.
“Perfect,” she said, with a different tone, removing her hand from your body and leaning her back with a satisfied smile. Your body, overwhelmed by pleasure and frustrated by the loss of contact, forced you to protest with a pathetic moan.
“Donna...” you sighed, letting your shoulders fall, returning to the reality the pleasure was hiding from you. Her expression was disinterested and her gaze avoided yours.
“Uncomfortable?” she asked with a mockery embedded in her words, with the severity of her face intact.
“You're vengeful, huh?” you said amused, bringing your legs together, imitating in any way the sensation that made you lose your mind.
“Are you?” she asked back, now, looking at you questioningly.
“What do you mean?” you asked curious and confused, frustrated, but without letting her realize it.
“Nothing,” she said simply, crossing her arms. “Enjoy that incredible feeling you've made me feel all day, I'm going to make something to eat.”
Just as Donna stood up, you laughed, catching her attention.
“Do you think it’s funny?” she asked, clearly upset, with her hands resting on her hips.
“No, well, yes...” you said, caressing your own legs, making her gaze drift for a moment towards your hand, something that you, clearly, didn’t overlook. “Your counterattack won't help you at all, darling... I can relieve myself.”
“Oh, isn't that cheating?” Donna questioned, with a mocking but confident tone. After all, those were your own rules.
“Mm, it's true...” you said with a smile, which brought back her evilness. “What a dilemma, Donna, what do we do now?”
“I don't know what are you going to do, I'm going to make something to eat,” she responded.
“Like that?” you said, pointing to the prominent bulge between her legs, one that she covered as best she could. “It’s not recommended to do something so dangerous, well… Without half the blood in your head.”
“If I'm like this it's because of you,” she said, defending herself, unable to hide her erection in the black fabric of her dress. “It will pass soon.”
“Really? Don't you prefer us to play?” you asked in a dark voice, reaching into your dress and pulling out your underwear, throwing it on the wooden floor without losing eye contact.
“I don't want to play with you. I don't want you to fool me again. I had a bad time, you know?”
“Come on, come on, I promise you this time I'll be good,” you said with a sincere tone, reaching out your hand to grab her wrist, gently pulling the lady, who shook her head.
“I don't believe you,” she said, looking away from you, but letting her body be dragged to the sofa.
“Come on, ragazza, trust me...” you whispered, sitting her and leaning back, slightly separating your legs.
“Don't use those words against me,” she said, looking between your legs, playing with her dress to release that pressure between them. You laughed, biting your lip and gesturing with your finger.
“Shut up and kiss me,” you ordered her, pulling her clothes so she leaned over you, kissing her lips in a wild way, letting the lust be completely free now, not wanting to prolong that game that you were already the undisputed winner.”
“This time... You're not going to escape,” she whispered, with a marked, angry accent, while her shaft entered your entrance effortlessly, helped by that small moment of free pleasure with which Donna compensated you without deserving it.
“I don't mean to,” you responded, closing your eyes as you felt your walls stretch so she could make her way through. Deep down you didn't want it to be so easy, but the feeling was so overwhelming... “But...”
“But,” she repeated, ceasing the fierce movement of her hips, searching your sweaty face for the cause of that sudden word.
“If you want to release, my love... You'll have to say the magic words...” you murmured, trying to keep your hips from losing that rhythm, so, even if Donna didn't move, you would continue getting that delicious pleasure.
“What?” she asked, obviously confused, letting her body do the same as yours trying not to lose that succulent rhythm of lust.
“Say them, and I promise I will set you free, you know I can do it…” you whispered, running your hands along her covered back, clawing at her skin through the black fabric.
“You're unbearable, I have no idea what you're talking about,” she said, moving fiercely again, as if your threats or proposals had not reached her ears. Once again, you couldn't blame her. You were the only one to blame. “But it doesn't matter to me anymore, you know? I'm not going to let... You leave me like this again.”
“Beg me, Donna,” you said, sitting up, stopping her increasingly erratic movements. Her erection betrayed her weakness, trembling inside of you and you, oh yes, you were going to take advantage of it. “Do you want to do it? Do you want to release?”
“Yes, please...” she acknowledged with an agonized moan, trying to resume the movements that were taking her to the edge again.
“Well then, beg,” you ordered in a firm voice, making her gaze rise to yours, causing her grimace of discomfort to change into one of astonishment, of doubt, of not knowing if she would obey a mere mortal like you.
But poor Donna was weak and you knew it. She didn't take long to close her eye and look away, freeing herself from the grip of your hands.
“Please, (Y/N), amore mio... I’m begging you... Let me, let me release inside of you, let me fill you with all my love, let me show you how much I love you...” she said with a whisper adorned by frustrated gasps that her body emitted.
You smiled. It was more than you asked for, of course.
“Wow... I have no words,” you joked, moving slowly, so she wouldn't realize that you had given in to her desire. “Okay honey, you can do it.”
Donna smiled in relief, feeling your hips claim hers, resuming her movements again, intensifying her thrusts, grabbing your legs, holding them above you, holding on so you wouldn't have the audacity to escape and go back on your word.
Your walls hugged her shaft while you yourself took the opportunity to release yourself without being discovered, just at the moment when her hips stopped, very close to yours, at the precise moment in which her release filled your warm interior, accompanied by a moan of relief from the lady, who finally got what she longed for.
“Gods...” Donna sighed, letting herself fall into your chest, releasing your legs but not wanting that sensation of her release inside of you to disappear, staying inside, trying to dominate the dominant one in that very sensual way. “Don’t, don't do this to me again...”
“Okay, the same to you,” you said in your defense, recovering your breath. The lady in black raised her head, looking at you with a frown.
“What have I done to you?” she asked offended, pointing comically at herself.
“What haven’t you done? I think that would be the right question,” you corrected. “Donna, this is the last time you have me without sex for a whole week, is that clear?”

hi! Hope you’re doing well! I was wondering if I could request a Harvey fic where Harvey gets jealous once reader gets some male attention. Harvey was always used to the reader falling at his feet, watching him with her doughy eyes, always finding an excuse to talk to him. But then he noticed her getting distant with him, almost not acknowledging his existence. Then he noticed flowers get delivered to her office, a guy coming by her office to take her out for lunch, etc. and poor little Harvey getting upset that she’s not at his mercy anymore lol & he confronts her about it :)
Happy New Year and I hope all of you people had a great holidays!
This one is for my friend @marjorie189! Thank you so much for the request and hopefully you like this.
Enjoy!!
Winner Takes It All
She walked briskly out of the elevator. Her bag was on her right shoulder while she tried to balance the two cups of coffee she carried and a few files she also carried at the crook of her arm. She made sure the one on her right hand was Harvey's coffee. Since Donna became COO, it wasn't unusual for her to see that Harvey had forgotten his coffee. Since then, she has made it her mission to bring Harvey his morning coffee. She was relieved to see the door to Harvey's office open. She invited herself in. "Hey, good morning," she said in a chirpy voice. "Morning," Harvey answered shortly. "I brought you coffee. Just how you like it," she hoped that Harvey would look up at her. But instead, his eyes were glued to the laptop in front of him. "Great, just put it here," Harvey signed with his head to the place around his desk. She shuffled around, trying to balance everything as she placed his coffee just beside his pen. "So, how was your morning?" She waited expectantly for Harvey to look up at her and probably finally realized the new dress she put on. Harvey finally looked up at her after a split second, but the expression on his face wasn't what she expected. There was annoyance in his face. "It was good and productive before you came in and decided that today would be a great day to just sit around and talk." She smiled curtly at his response. "Alright, I'll get back to work. Enjoy your coffee," she said as she waved at Harvey and walked out of his office.
She giggled to herself as she read the reports in the library. Harvey would like it, she thought. Scratch that; Harvey would love this. A huge help to his case. Even though she wasn't assigned to this case with him, she always secretly kept track of his cases. When she knew he was in trouble, she took extra time to help Harvey, aside from doing her own cases. She always ran to Harvey's office with her findings. "Harvey!" She barged into his office. Harvey's face was a mix of confusion and irritation. "I found this," she said, handing Harvey the papers she had photocopied earlier. "This is good," Harvey said, giving her a small smile as he nodded. She almost jumped in joy upon hearing that this would help Harvey. "Just good?" she teased. "I don't know, Harvey. I think this is brilliant!" Harvey sighed. "If you need praise and flowers, go to Louis. This is good, but get back to work. What are you doing anyway with my case?" Harvey questioned her. "I'm helping you, of course," she said as she giggled. "Thank you. Now, can you please go so I can call my client?" Harvey said as he picked up the telephone. "Bye, Harvey!" she said as she left his office, closing the door behind her.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was just like any other morning. Every partner had a meeting before the day started to touch base on everyone's cases. Harvey was assigning some new cases to every other partner. It wasn't long before the meeting finished. She stayed longer than everyone else, as she saw Harvey also stay longer. She looked like she was about to leave but stopped at the end of the table. Stopped exactly beside Harvey. "Do you need help with that?" Harvey, who was flipping some documents in front of him, stopped and looked up at the woman smiling down at him. "Actually, yes." She nodded excitedly. "Can you deliver this to the DA office?" She doesn't even ask questions. "Consider it done," she said, bowed, and left the room.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the past few days, Harvey didn't realize anything different until one morning he saw his newest and youngest partner. She just walked by his office. He remembered how, in the past few weeks, she never stopped by his office to deliver him his morning coffee. He stood up, trying to catch a glimpse of her. She brought with her a cup of coffee. A cup, as in a singular cup. Harvey's brows knitted, but he just shrugged and got back to whatever he was doing before.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey," Harvey said, entering her office after knocking. "Hey, Harvey," she greeted him, eyes never leaving the paper in front of her. Harvey noticed the unnecessarily big flower arrangement on a credenza behind her. She caught him staring at her freshly delivered flowers. "Are you going to tell me why you're here, or are you just going to stare at my flowers?" Harvey straightened himself; he seemed caught red-handed. She watched him impatiently. "I was wondering if you could help me with the deposition tomorrow." She shook her head. "I'm taking the rest of the week off ," she informed the clueless Harvey. "In the middle of the week?" Harvey folded both his arms in front of him. "Yes, I've asked Donna since 1 week ago. I've taken care of everything." Harvey looked at her as if she had two heads. "Where are you going?" She laughed. Harvey smiled at the sound he hadn't heard in the past few weeks. "Why is it your business?" Harvey was about to answer when she interrupted him. "I'll get someone else to help you, okay? Don't worry. Now, if you excuse me, I think my client just entered the conference room." Harvey stood there, flabbergasted.
Harvey was talking with Donna as they waited for the elevator. Harvey heard a familiar laugh approaching, but the voice was accompanied by a deeper laugh. Harvey whipped his body around and tried to locate the laughter. There, she was laughing with a man Harvey had never seen before in his life. They approached closer, seemingly wanting to leave the building as well. "Hi!" she greeted Donna and Harvey. "Oh, where are you two going? A lunch date?" Donna teased them. "Maybe," the stranger answered as she smirked at Donna. Okay, Harvey thought. This person knew Donna. "We haven't had the pleasure of an introduction," Harvey straightened himself. "Jonathan Seymour," the man said, smiling and extending his hand for Harvey to shake. Harvey took a quick second to look at his hand and chose to ignore it. "Harvey Specter, but you must've seen my name before seeing me," Harvey signed to the wall behind them with the name of the firm etched. "I need to see you before you go home," Harvey pointed his eyes directly at her. Before everyone could say anything, Harvey stepped inside the full elevator, leaving the three of them.
"Harvey, I'm about to leave. You need to see me?" Harvey moved his head, and she got inside his office. "Since you will take the rest of the week off, I need your help with those files." Harvey pointed at some folders stacked upon one another. She wanted to say no, but she felt bad now that she was taking the rest of the week off. "Okay, sure," she smiled. "What should we do?" she asked as she took off the coat she just put on.
Harvey watched her work. The fact that this was just a little over midnight, the fact that now her hair was in a high bun, and the fact that she looked very beautiful as she pouted, concentrating on the task at hand. He missed this. He missed her presence. Her chirpy voice. Her smile. Her scent is one of amber and rose. "Are you going to tell me where you are going for the rest of the week?" Harvey started the conversation. "I'm going to accompany Jonathan. His cousin is getting married in Aspen. But he said he wanted to show me around," she smiled. "Are you happy?" Harvey asked abruptly. She was taken aback by his question. The man he had been trying to get close to for almost a year was now asking personal questions. "I'm happy, Harvey. Any reason why I shouldn't?" Instead of answering her question, he asked her another question. "So you can positively say that you are happy with this Jonathan?" She sighed. "Where is this going, Harvey?" She put her pen down, giving Harvey her full intention. Harvey was quiet for some time; she raised her eyebrows at him and demanded that he continue. As she saw Harvey struggle to find words, she picked her pen back up and got back to work. "I like you," he blurted after a full five minutes of silence enveloping the room. "You what?" she asked, her voice higher than usual. "I like you. I don't like seeing you with Jonathan. I like you, and I never realized it before." She looked at him, and confusion marked her face. "Don't go with Jonathan. Go with me. I want to show you how sorry I am for treating you badly for the past couple of months, and I want to show you how much you mean to me," Harvey said as he kneeled in front of her, hands intertwined. She looked down at their hands. "You have to win me over, Harvey." But everyone knew, Harvey always won.
