Something I never understood about Pokémon is how they age. so In some episodes we have been shown that they do die of old age but the question I have do they age while they are still in there baby Evolution ??

Is Pikachu still considered a baby among Raichus-- if they never evolve does that mean they never age and never get old so like are they immortal??

I bring this up because I remember an episode of Pokémon where meowth lost love was I guess In a romantic relationship with a persian but she was still just a meowth— does that mean the persian was dating a baby?? How does it work I’m losing my mind

This was like in the movie Lady and the tramp 2 where angel and scamp were dating but she was also in a relationship with another dog that was an adult so either she’s a puppy in an relationship with a adult dog or she’s adult who’s in a relationship with a puppy no matter the scenario someone is a victim 💀💀

I want a Pokémon game where we can have any Pokémon as a starter. Lemme have a Magikarp as a starter, or a Pachirisu or Lapras. Just any Pokémon I can find in the available areas, ya know?

Fandom sometimes needs to sit their ass down and chill...

Just something I've been seeing lately, especially from the Pokémon fandom when fans are mad because some theory they made was disproven and they act like the creators outright betrayed them...

More direct example... People saw the announcement of Legends Z-A and now they act like Game Freak lied because they promised the next mainline game would be a remake of Gen 5!

Here's the thing though.

No they fucking didn't.

Gamefreak promised us nothing, except the vague implications that they'd be making Pokémon games.

People expected a gen V remake because... well they made Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, so obviously the next revisit would be Gen V... Which... technically they did revisit Unova....deep underwater as part of the Scarlet and Violet DLC... not a remake... its just set in Unova. Could be set anywhere... it happens to be Unova. People also saw that as a hint that they were making an Unova remake next...

But also...BDSP were kinda... bad.... Most people I talk to did not like BDSP... They were both pretty poor remakes as far as remakes go. So why would anyone want more of that? What makes people so convinced Unova would do better??

Then you got the surprise of the previous Gen Legends Arceus. Which was absolutely amazing. A fresh take on Pokémon that was so sorely needed, still revisiting Sinnoh but with a whole new storyline that was...actually kinda good? Seriously that was the biggest surprise to me, I do not play Pokémon for their storyline because they're usually mid at best, a confusing mess at worst (looking at you Sword and Shield... and X and Y....and Ultrasun and Ultramoon... Fun games to play, garbage story.)

So I personally am WAY more excited about the idea of another Legends game than some other remake. I've played Black and White...It was fine... Not the first gen I'd like to replay any time soon.

Given the fact that Game Freak handed the development of BDSP over to another company I wouldn't' be surprised if they're tired of that shit too. They gave us a remake cuz fans wouldn't stop begging for it... meanwhile Game Freak themselves gave us something new.

Also just because they're making Legends Z-A now... it doesn't mean we'll never get a Black and White Remake later... Then people will get upset about it because its not Black and White 2 despite that not being what they asked for in the first place...

Pokémon Opinion/Rant

Tl;Dr: the Pokémon company needs to step up their game

Okie dokie so this feels self-centered of me to post but I don’t care all that much rn. So, I’m gonna put this out there: I’m boycotting Pokémon. Sorta.

I’m gonna keep all of the games I have, and still play Pokémon Go, but I’m not giving the company any more money. Why?

Look at Scarlet and Violet. Those games shouldn’t have been released. The story is fine but they games themselves are so bugged that they’d make an entomologist shiver; the Tera Raid system is trash, the Elite Four and Champion are weak, the level distribution across the game is confusing, and it all feels a bit one-dimensional; there aren’t really any secrets to find, and you can’t even enter buildings (except gyms).

I love this franchise. I’ve played the games for over 10 years. But I won’t pay ridiculous prices for mediocrity at best. And I know that the people who made the games are trying their best, stars bless them, but that’s another reason I’m not doing this anymore. They deserve better.

A vaporeon study

Vaporeon is one of my favorite Pokémon. my first introduction to it was in pokemon red, where it looked like this:

So in my head, vaporeon looked like this:

It was also somewhat like this in the card game too:

with the neck frill and tail looking like soft goldfish fins, with a long snout, very elegant.

But the game's graphics evolved and Vaporeon changed to look more like the Ken Sugimori art. And eventually making the transition to 3D.

None of these redesigns are bad... but... the ear fins... oh the ear fins...

in the original sprite art, they actually looked like ears. and all my life I've been representing them in my art like this:

very pleasing to my eyes, but the reality is, they have never been represented to be like this in the games. That's fine, but what gen 6 did to its 3D model, to me, is murder!

Look at its ear!

Not only is it just a polygon with a flat texture hanging like a flag, if it wanted to represent an ear, it should have been facing the other way!!! like so:

It shouldn't, but this design "flaw" bothers me a lot!

and if we're talking about design, the neck frill looks a lot more like a firm fin now and not as soft, so it really should look like this instead:

It's a water creature, it needs to be hydrodynamic!

IDK folks, this is just my silly opinion. Feel free to agree or disagree with me but I'd love to know if it's just me who is bothered by this.

okay so even though the Ash and Goh goodbye was ages ago, i still wanted to say something about it.

So, basically, looking back at all the goodbyes Ash has had in the past with other friends, I just noticed that they seem to be the one thanking him, and saying the kind of stuff along the lines of 'I'm glad i met you', in different ways I guess. (Like Lillie literally just says it, or Serena...yeah did that 👀) as shown...

Long story short, when it's time for Ash and Goh to say goodbye, i love how bittersweet it is and how they both have that fond look on their faces too, like neither of them really want to end their journey. This isn't even the point I'm trying to make rn but it's so cute kjhadzjs

ANYWAY (look at their smiles oh my god i cant) We find that in the end ASH is the one who suddenly announces to Goh, first as well, 'I'm glad i met you.' and he even goes on to say 'Thank you' after that as well.

I honestly thought that was so sweet, bc especially after Ash has travelled to so many regions he's used to being the one to be thanked by other people and it just kind of shows how much important Goh is to him. Even Goh was surprised and the bit where he said he might cry made me want to cry too 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

OK even though i wanted to maybe have a more better goodbye (maybe i'll talk about that in a later post) this was a very sweet moment that my attention latched onto <33

I MISS THEM SO MUCH BUT I HOPE WE SEE THEM AGAIN

let's start off with my biggest problem...

why do people call ALL pokemon "animals"?? They're called pocket MONSTERS. A monster is something neither human nor animal. I'm not saying some pokemon aren't "animalistic" such as growlithe, meowth, etc, but most of them are just... Monsters.

Explain how pokemon like the Abra line, the Gastly line, Hypno, Mr. Mime, JYNX ESPECIALLY, Mewtwo, the Ralts line, every object pokemon ever, etc etc are "animals"?

Not only that, but, most of the time, when it's a normal furry people just don't bat an eye. And when it's a lopunny suddenly "there are laws against the pokemon"? What's so different between the two? They're both literally furries, they just come from different franchises.

Another thing is intelligenc. For the love of god, so many people underestimate pokemon. If you've seen the Mystery Dungeon series, you should know that all, if not just nearly all, pokemon are basically just as intelligent as humans if not even more. They CHOOSE to battle alongside trainers. If they didn't, they could just leave or even kill the trainer ffs. Just because gamefreaak can't expand on that concept because that'd go against the whole point of the games doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to realize that. What about Alakazam?? You guys really believe they'd let just anyone catch them??
