Oggi io e l'amico con cui parlo di più siamo andati a Verona per la Model Expo, come avevamo deciso. Il bambino che è in me ha apprezzato alcune cose: aver visto con i propri occhi piccoli treni muoversi su piccole rotaie, proprio come in TV, che cosa carina(ma non ci spenderei soldi); il modellino di un mulino a vento; i modellini delle navi in generale.

Ho speso un centone, mi hanno abbonato 5 euro, per due vecchi giochi dei Pokémon.

Ora ho la possibilità di recuperare Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Squadra Blu, il titolo precedente a esploratori dell'oscurità(ho giocato a quest'ultimo e a esploratori del cielo, a parte rescue team dx per Switch). Sono andato a colpo sicuro, so già che quando lo giocherò lo adorerò. Versione Bianca 2 è costato parecchio, e non ho il primo Bianco(potrei cercarlo), ma ho nostalgia dei tempi di Diamante/Perla/Platino. Ho pensato che la generazione successiva alla quarta magari non è tanto diversa e allo stesso tempo per me risulta nuova da vivere.

Il mio Nintendo DS Lite funziona ancora bene, a parte la batteria che penso non sia più performante come era tanti anni fa. Ogni tanto ancora lo accendo per mantenerla in vita e mi accorgo che finisce di caricarsi troppo velocemente, mi sembra strano che faccia così perché non lo scarico usandolo, quanta energia può essere in grado di trattenere a questo punto... Ora ho due motivi in più per accenderlo. Peccato che io stia giocando veramente poco. Niente rispetto a quanto vorrei.

If you've played Pokémon Black 2 or White 2, you may remember the lost Xtransceiver plot where a person named Yancy or Curtis (depending on whether you're playing as Nate or Rosa) loses their Xtransceiver, and frequently calls the player until they can return it. They can't see each other until they first meet because Yancy and Curtis are using one with a broken camera. After returning the Xtransceiver to Yancy/Curtis, the player can then call them and meet up with them multiple times at the Nimbasa Ferris wheel as they slowly develop a crush on the player.

But you see, I have recently fallen into the Yancy x Rosa ship hole (of which there is incredibly little (shout out to the exactly three fanfics on AO3)).

Yancy is secretly a TV idol who frequently appears on TV, but she is nervous and secretive about this fact. While talking to Yancy anonymously, Rosa slowly becomes more and more famous (taking down Team Plasma, beating all eight gyms, Pokéstar Studios, winning at the PWT, becoming the champion etc.). So imagine if Rosa is equally humble about her rising fame, and because of the broken Xtransceiver cameras, she's able to hide that she's THAT Rosa from her. But Yancy slowly starts figuring it out as Rosa appears on TV more and more, and that beautiful voice sounds more and more familiar. When they finally meet, Yancy is absolutely starstruck. It was, in fact, Hero, Movie Star, Champion, etc. Rosa returning her Xtransceiver. And she is even prettier and sweeter in person.

I am cringe but I am free (dies of cringe anyway)

SO UHMMM since idk if I'll ever be able to pick up this project ever again I figured it is time to share it with y'all (I put way too much effort into it 💔)

ANYWAY YES, a few months ago I lost my mind and sketched 1 and a half chapters (that's 195 pages) for a fancomic featuring my beloved pokemon scientist Colress (I love him so so much) and my oc Leonard- a pokemon AU Leonard. I called the story "Unbound science" for REASONS, and brainstormed from there. I even made a cover, but tbh I'd probably change it if I should ever finalize this project since the story changed quite a bit. You probably guessed it already, but it's a mix of romance, sci-fi, and ofc, POKEMON!! Its writing is similar to my main story, a bit of silly and a bit of dark themes, and that's pretty much it.

I mostly sketched these during my work breaks/shortly before my shift started 😋😋 it helped me to stay sane (kinda) RAHHH

Tbh I always was someone who didn't understand how people can ship their ocs with canon characters, but I do now, IT'S SM FUN!!! Even if there's this fear of portraying the canon character not good enough 💔💔 Nonetheless, I really enjoy(ed) this silly side project, even if I probably won't be able to finish it 💔

It's just so funny since Leonard is basically based on Colress...they fit together perfectly 😋😋/j

Also this song is their song, everytime I listen to it I immediately have to think about them. (I listened to it non-stop when sketching the comic)

After reading about the rules for the White Treehollow again, I decided to clear all the floors. I already beat the first 5 when I was a kid. So, I only had another 5 to comb through before I could face Benga.

The floors were pretty easy to go through. All it took was some deductive reasoning and knowledge. (As well as a bit of strategy.)

After a few days, I finally made it to Benga. Even with two Pokémon against three, I was able to beat him and clear the gauntlet.

And what was my reward for completing this challenge?

A bit of a letdown after finally beating this thing...

Thankfully, Benga promised to give me something better.

So, I went back to Alder's place in Flocessy Town to see what he was talking about.

I've read about being able to get a shiny Dratini in this game. And now, I've finally got mine! It's a shame that I didn't get a Gible, though. But that would mean that I'd have to play Black Version 2. So, Dratini it is!

Now that I've cleared the White Treehollow, I should go back to fighting on the Battle Trains.

Lumi Plays Pokémon: White 2 Bug Monotype Run- Part 1

It's finally time! I've been excited to get this started, and after a little waiting, today was the day I could get started.

So very quickly- the rules:

Only Bug type Pokémon can be used in battle (beginning once the first one becomes obtainable)

I can use non-Bugs for HMs

I'm playing on set mode for extra challenge

And that's about it!

So- after answering the age old question, I got the run underway. This may be long, so it's going under the cut!

So after naming myself Lumi, I had the first big question of the run- what to name my rival? Well, it took some thought, but there's no bigger rival to a bug... than a boot.

Some more cute cutscenes later (I love this game!) I had to pick a 'starter'. And considering the type I've been tasked to use, the choice was obvious. I picked Tepig.

Why Tepig, you may ask? You might think that I should've gone with Oshawott, so Boot ended up with Snivy, which is weak to Bug! That was my first thought too, but the actual better choice is Tepig.

The rival in BW2 has the same team by the end of the game no matter the starter, with just the starter itself being different- and the type of elemental monkey they get. If I pick Tepig, Boot gets the only version of their team that doesn't include a Fire type. And besides, Sewaddle is super effective on both Water for Oshawott, and Grass for the eventual Simisage.

Anyway, I defeat Boot, go through some more cutscenes before I'm finally let out of Aspertia City! Alder tries to train me up in the next town, but no, I'm making a beeline for my real starter! On the second route, after Tepig (named Oinkers) takes care of the trainers in the way, I can finally properly begin the run.

Here's Oinkers catching his replacement. Sorry Oinkers. (Except actually the nature on that Sewaddle wasn't great so I caught a second!)

I decided to name my Sewaddle Teabag. It was a name put forward by @haveyouusedthispokemon, albeit somewhat jokingly I think! I liked the thought of this lil bundle of leaves wrapped up in a lil bag, and then getting dunked in water- Teabag will be my answer to Water types after all!

I got Teabag up to level 5, the level a starter should be, and then boxed Oinkers so the run could properly start. Teabag wasted no time making quick work of the remaining trainers on the route, good job buddy!

I grinded him up to level 8 to get Bug Bite before I headed to Floccesy Ranch and fought Boot again! It was no problem for Teabag. 2 Bug Bites and he was done.

Then some more training at the ranch, followed by a first encounter with Team Plasma.

Finally, we went back to train with Alder, then returned to Aspertia City, ready for the gym.

I'll need name suggestions for Venipede too, so please let me know what you think I should call it! Hope you're excited to hear about this run, I'm very excited to get this going. Part 2 coming soon!

Teabag is sitting at level 12, and I'm confident he can handle it! Next time I play, we'll be getting a gym badge and then another team member- Venipede!
