Booted up my copy of Pokémon White 2 after four years.

Idk what happened but my starter was gone, only a Riolu + Eevee in my team, and two Mews in my PC

I finally decided to redraw N's Reshiram card. The fifth gen is my favorite and N is one of the best characters in Pokémon also because of his ambiguous alignment (he is not intentionally evil but with his good intentions he unintentionally does evil so this concept is very fascinating). I honestly never appreciated the version of the plot of Black/Black 2. The protagonist who shows the truth (because he is the hero and therefore brings justice and truth, what a drag...) to N who wanted to change the world with ideals is very banal and obvious. On the other hand, I find the plot of White/White 2 very cool: N believes that what he does is the only real solution to save his friends but we show him that our ideal of keeping Pokémon and humans united is stronger than his truth, which i have always found deeper and less obvious. Furthermore, aesthetically Reshiram is very suitable for N not only on a conceptual level (and i am Team Zekrom so this also influences my vision of the story). About the Tao trio, I never understood why people think Reshiram is female while Zekrom is male. Sugimori just said that Reshiram looks more feminine than Zekrom but that doesn't mean it's a girl. Considering Taoism, Reshiram is Yang (the male) Zekrom is Yin (the female) and Kyurem is wuji (the absence of Yin and Yang) so it's not binary or asexual. Sorry if I ramble on about these three but I love the Trio Tao I think it's my favorite Pokémon Trio mainly for the concept.

I would like to draw Hilda and her Zekrom too (maybe also Ghetsis and his Kyurem)

I haven’t really had the time recently to do specific shading on characters, but, on the bright side, I’ve been able to experiment with overlay shading and whatnot.

(Why can I always draw just fine when it’s a personal piece, but the moment I start a request everything looks wonky 😭)

Sometimes I like imagining what memes in the Pokémon universe would be like.

You know the movie from PokéStar Studios, "Magical Doors of a Mystery Land?" The one that has a living plush toy called Kevin and the evil witch queen Bellelba.

Hear me out.

Imagine, some people on Rotomblr started unironically shipping Kevin the plush toy with Bellelba. There is already an alternate ending where the Player ends up in a relationship with her. It's not too far fetched to think that some people would go "But what if it was Kevin instead"

Thus spawning the Pokémon universe equivalent of Connecticut Clark and Malfina

Tell me I'm not the only one who sees it.

Also remember that Bellelba is played by Sabrina, the Gym Leader. She opens up PokéTwitter to find out that Kantonian Kevin and Bellelba is trending and all the other Kanto Gym Leaders are roasting the shit out of her because of it and the entire Indigo League gleefully adopts it as an injoke between them.

So Sabrina contacts Brycen like "WTF this is not what I expected when I got into acting!" and Brycen is sympathetic because he's already been turned into the Pokémon equivalent of the Chuck Norris meme because of the Brycen Man movies.
