I Thought Sunsets Were Different
Different, That sunrises and sunsets were sat on different Pages of the same dictionary, So that the two ideas could never Intertwine, Share definitions for different Places in time.
I used to think sunsets were Different.
I used to think they never Happened, That their placement in the day Defined their placement in time. That just because they hadn't happened Yet, Doesn’t mean they won’t.
I used to think that in that split Second, When the light grips your hand, And your head rests Between the silhouettes Of clouds, That in that moment, When you’re sat, Part of a Sunset, Just You. Alone, That you could tell the difference Between sunset Sunrise?

One of the critics asked me how long did it take me to assemble poetry collection. It took me two years, including a work with the editor, to select, edit, throw away, cry and sweat, -- all that, just to make a book. It took me much more time to write those poems, about 10 years, usually around 3am-4am. I don't include those years when I was drifting still in my romanticizing youth. I am writing every day one or two poems and still working on my novel. Poetry is a way of thinking and has nothing and yet everything to do with finding rhyme. It is an inner melody that bursts into life and tries to find words so others could understand. That melody has a certain structure, system of elements, that can be interpreted with rhyme, rhythmic repetitions, letters within a word, etc. I do not write poetry with prompts, thematic or something that is suggested. It is heard within my soul and then, it is just there, on a paper, breathing.
So, yes, it takes two years to write a book sometimes, but it takes years of life to write one poem.
So, here it is my book - "Iriada Tales: poetry collection".

Getting pun-tastic with my koala poems. I found the world's tiniest notebook to do a pocketbook mock-up. #poetryprocess #poetryproject (at Salamander Bay, New South Wales) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_hYjKvDLYs/?igshid=14oxk7tsljfbg
