Well here I go with headcanons again. Well canon stuff when it comes to my drifter specifically.

Kyli would definitely ask to take a pobber home with her especially if it can't go into the wild, she would bring it to 1999 and it'd end up being friends with Lettie's rats after slow introductions. I don't know what she'd name the pobber but I just have a mental image of Lettie's rats + kyli's pobber in a cuddle pile.

Kinda on the lines of this ( Kyli will sometimes call them Pocket puppies)

She probably named it Snowball considering where pobbers live

By request ( thank you @chronicler-of-narrative :> ), I have decided to start posting some lore about Lucille. I'll probably just keep it to text scrawlings for sake of ease (my art backlog is so full help)

Late Night

Lucille lays in her personal quarters, staring up at the ceiling. She was supposed to be resting, but she really didn't want to be. Dreams of her old Zariman life plagued her mind with resentment and regrets every time she slept.

“Operator?” Ordis whispers from the ship’s comms system. “Why are you still awake? Do you need some help falling asleep?”

Lucille sighs, clutching her pobber floof tighter and shifting to stare out the window into space. “It's nothing, Ordis. Just some old memories.”

There's a pause. An understanding. Ordis knows Lucille often has nightmares, but he also knows she doesn't talk about them no matter how much he insists on asking, no matter how much she could use the outlet.

Lucille is the first to break the silence. “Ordis?”

“Yes, Operator?”

“Thanks. For just being here. It's good to have someone who cares so much.”

“Of course. I'm always here to help.”

Another long pause. Lucille looks down at her floof, fiddling with its ears as she thinks.

“Last night I dreamed of my mother. My Zariman mother.” She rests her head against the cool glass of the window. “She was a performer. She wanted me to be one too, taught me opera when I was still little.”

“Interesting. I don't believe I've heard you sing before, come to think of it.”

“Yeah. She was never all that impressed with me.”

“Well, I'd certainly love to hear you sing. You seem so happy when I play music for you.”

Lucille smiles, unfurling slightly from her mess of blankets. “Promise not to judge me for being rusty?”

“I promise.”

Oh, I see. This is like when I asked Nink if he could draw us as a virmink (he was drawing the crew) (he was a black kubrodon with red eyes) and he just started drawing me as a pobber instead. And then with kavat ears.

What is Viri's favorite animal? Eiher irl animals or those avaible in the open worlds/desert skates. Does she care about floofs? Does she have any sentimentality towards things like trinkets or is she more along the lnes of Parvos' philosophy of shunning sentimentality?

In-game variants: virminks, pobbers and kavats. Basically anything that is a feline, vulpine (fox-like) or small, chubby rodents or rodent-like creatures. She is weak for any cuddly, fluffy creature in general!

Viri is very much a trinket and floof person... but she doesn't tell just anyone that, it's like her little secret and guilty pleasure - she collects floofs and noggles and her Perrin friends know to alert her whenever there is a Limited Edition Sale for something.

She has a hard time letting go of sentimental trinkets since it's the only way she can keep memories. She'll allow herself to disagree with Parvos on sentimentality - losing your memories, your friends and family; you have to latch onto something.
