A large, beautiful (possibly gravid) Platycryptus undatus I found in my house a few years ago 🥰 she was so friendly and curious and looked right up at the camera! I took her outside to release her and fed her a small fly before she went on her way.

Found on iNat.... a fully paternless, nearly white female Platycryptus sp.

It is believed to be Platycryptus undatus, but not completely sure.

happy valentine’s day here’s a tan jumper lady i found on the ceiling

I found this jumping spider (Platycryptus undatus) in a death/dehydration curl two days ago. After a little TLC (including the juice from half a blueberry, as she refused both water from a q tip and the offer of a springtail. Blueberry was a last resort and the only thing she would try), this morning, she was scuttling around like a regular spider, reacting to gentle stimulus, and ready to be released! Was not expecting much, given the state in which she’d been found, but I was pleasantly surprised.

It was a great honor to be able to release her outside. I hope she has/makes (not entirely sure of her gender but assuming female bc of abdomen size relative to cephalothorax) lots of babies, and enjoys the time she’s got left this year. 🥰

a few months ago i accidentally picked up this cute lil feller from sittin in a gazebo. mostly i just wanna share cus i think this is one of the most adorable spiders I've ever seen, but if you wanna ID them then the location is western Pennsylvania. you don't gotta ID tho i just wanted to share

Ohhhh my gosh look at this BABY. What a precious angel. It would help to see the markings on the abdomen but I'm thinking it's a tan jumper, Platycryptus undatus.
