literally insane fucking ask to send someone 😭 not arab but as an iranian it saddens me that we have such high rates of plastic surgery and nose jobs etc bc the world has told us that we have to look “white” to look beautiful….. i don’t…. direct hatred towards the people who get those surgeries? in weird and misogynistic ways? skill issue on anons part tbh
misogyny is absolutely born from criticizing women for being pressured to fit certain beauty standards, as opposed to critiquing the very institution that made them do that to begin with. and even if a woman chooses to get plastic surgery I’m not gonna say I “hate it” or that I “wanna throw up in my mouth about it.” what kind of attitude is that

i think everyone on sunnytwt needs to be sat down so i can explain to them what basic human empathy is. and then maybe i put them in a blender until they agree to write meta about the characters instead of whether or not charlie day got facial reconstruction surgery.
#ada speaks#u do not exist in a vacuum and your words have the capability to harm others#celebrities may not see your tweets but your balding transmasc mutual and your follower who feels self conscious about her nose will#it is fucking bizarre the way these people conduct themselves online#really. really fucking weird man#and then you see them acting like ppl are 'defending rich white men'#instead of taking issue with the actual shit theyre saying#whether or not you think rcg has been 'under the knife' or not#a) how is this any of your business. you are not entitled to this info nor do you have a free pass to criticize someone's personal choice#b) ask yourself why you feel you need to critique alleged surgeries and how they stack up to imposed conventional beauty standards#c) you do not *own* them. you can have opinions on your own attraction to them but#a person getting plastic surgery or hair plugs or whatever is up to them. not you. if it helps to make them feel better then who cares.#just because it doesn't make them attractive to YOU doesn't mean its okay to point and laugh#if a trans guy got top surgery and it was 'botched' would you act like they were stupid for getting it in the first place?#if a trans woman decided she wanted to surgically shave her jaw would you shame her for that?#it's their body. it's not yours.#for the record i don't believe any of them have gotten work done but think its a stupid thing to speculate on regardless#ive watched family members go through plastic surgeries of varying success. ive seen them get botox and hair plugs and everything#normal everyday people do it and it's not always about vanity#it can be for gender reaffirming reasons (and yes this includes when cis people do it) to alleviate dysphoria#trying to point out alleged surgical alterations made is just. gross#not to mention that holy shit MOST of the shit ppl are saying is like. age. different hairstyles. different facial expressions.#maybe if these people actually watched the show theyd be able to see the gang in action instead of staring at pics like spot the difference

Eco-Friendly Beauty Swaps: Sustainable Alternatives to Popular Makeup Products
Tumblr media
Most of our favorite beauty products have a hidden cost (which we'll soon get into). But don’t worry! Making small, eco-friendly beauty swaps can be just as glamorous, without compromising the planet.
A Little Beauty "Something" You Should Know
The beauty industry generates over 120 billion units of packaging each year. Most of it isn't recyclable. And then there’s the actual makeup itself, filled with synthetic chemicals, microplastics, and ingredients that don't do our skin and environment any good.
Don't attack me yet, I'm not saying you shouldn't put on some lipstick or powder. What I'm really trying to say is; how can we look good while doing good? It all starts with swapping out a few key items.
1. Foundation
One of the biggest culprits in the beauty world is foundation bottles. They’re often made of plastic or come in unrecyclable glass.
Eco Swap: Try a refillable foundation. Many brands now offer foundations in reusable containers. Brands like Kjaer Weis and Elate Cosmetics are paving the way by offering eco-friendly packaging and natural, skin-loving formulas.
These brands allow you to purchase refills, minimizing waste. Not only are these organic ingredients better on your skin, but you’ll also cut down on single-use plastic packaging....a win-win!
2. Lipsticks
Lipsticks are another beauty staple that frequently comes in non-recyclable tubes. The good news? Sustainable alternatives exist that deliver just as much pigment and hydration.
Eco Swap: Go for biodegradable or refillable lipstick tubes. Brands like Axiology make lipsticks using all-natural ingredients and biodegradable packaging. RMS Beauty also offers lipsticks in glass and aluminum packaging, both of which are much easier to recycle than traditional plastic.
3. Mascara
Mascara is a makeup must-have, but traditional mascara tubes and wands contribute significantly to waste. Most mascara tubes aren't recyclable due to the mix of plastic and metal components.
Eco Swap: Opt for a zero-waste or refillable mascara. Companies like Trestique and Izzy Zero Waste Beauty offer mascaras with refillable components, cutting down on plastic waste. The packaging is sleek, chic, and eco-friendly, proving that sustainability can still be stylish.
4. Makeup Brushes
Ever thought about what your makeup brushes are made of? Well, many brushes are crafted from the “same ole” synthetic, non-biodegradable materials.
Eco Swap: Look for makeup brushes made from sustainable materials like bamboo and recycled aluminum. EcoTools and Bamboo Naturals offer high-quality, eco-friendly brushes that work just as well as conventional ones. Plus, bamboo is a renewable resource, making it an excellent choice for sustainability.
5. Cleansing Wipes
Makeup removal wipes can be quite convenient, but they’re often non-biodegradable and full of chemicals that aren’t great for your skin or the planet.
Eco Swap: Instead of single-use wipes, try reusable cotton rounds or cloths. Brands like LastObject and Marley’s Monsters offer washable, reusable cotton pads that can be used over and over again. They’re gentle on your skin and reduce the amount of waste generated by your beauty routine.
6. Eyeshadow Palettes
Eyeshadow palettes are often made with plastic, magnets, and mirrors, making them nearly impossible to recycle. An alternative?
Eco Swap: Opt for palettes made with recyclable or compostable materials. Aether Beauty is one brand leading the way, offering gorgeous eyeshadow palettes in zero-waste packaging. The best part? Their formulas are cruelty-free, vegan, and filled with ethically sourced ingredients.
7. Powder Products
Powders like blush, bronzer, and setting powders are another area where waste adds up, especially when packaged in bulky plastic compacts.
Eco Swap: Look for brands that offer refillable powder products. Tata Harper and Alima Pure offer beautiful options with refillable packaging, ensuring you can keep your favorite shades while cutting back on waste.
Why It Matters
You might be thinking, “Do these small swaps really make a difference?” Yes, they do! Every step toward sustainability, no matter how small, contributes to a bigger change. By choosing products that are kind to the environment, you’re voting with your wallet for a future that’s not just beautiful, but also sustainable.
With all that Said
Switching to eco-friendly beauty alternatives doesn’t mean sacrificing quality or style. In fact, many sustainable beauty brands offer high-performing products with the added bonus of being kind to the environment. By making thoughtful swaps, you can still enjoy your beauty routine while helping reduce waste and protect the planet.
So the next time you’re shopping for makeup, ask yourself: can this be reused, refilled, or recycled? Let’s prove that beauty and sustainability can go hand in hand and look fabulous while doing it!
Signing out, kad

Yeah, the jacket, the pack, the cane. Basically the only thing you can take in is your camera and your keys.
What about rescue meds, inhalers, water (in a cave that gets over 84 degrees sometimes). Why will my jacket brush up against things in ways my body wont already do. Where am I supposed to keep my payment and ID, bunny boy?? My fuckin bra? Or are those not allowed either

Just in case anyone else is like me and cannot stand using plastic products.
Or you just want to try going plastic free, this is still my favorite that I've tried for personal care (I cannot beat their curly hair stuff.) No pressure, not gonna turn into a spam seller IG blog, or anything. When I can finally stop landing my ass in the ER for an entire month or more you'll see my running stuff again. But I was in both Urgent Care and the ER this week, so uh. Have 20% off attempting to save the planet. Enjoy.
I just keep hearing about all kinds of PFA shit and BPA and microplastics, and this is my pitiful way of attempting to avoid contributing and to keep myself in slightly less miserable shape.

Products gifted for free in exchange for my honest reviews on BeautyTap. I got into this amazing and exclusive VIP round! I’ll be doing a separate post about the manicure set bc I have so many pictures of the process that this four picture collage couldn’t fit in. Full reviews for each product can be read here.
I was very pleasantly surprised that I was really happy with most of these products. The shampoo and conditioner bar from Brixy were basically fragrance free. I couldn't really smell either the vanilla or the coconut this bar was meant to be scented as. The conditioner bar did a decent job. My test for how good a conditioner is, when I first get out of the shower I comb out my hair without any post shower treatments. This one passed the test. The shampoo also left my hair squeaky clean. So if you aren't big into fragrances, this would be an option for you.
My favorites were definitely the Le Mieux serum and the Le Mini Macaron LED nail set. The Le Mieux serum left my skin feeling firm and moisturized. And the nail polish stayed on well without any big chips for more than two weeks. It will get its own post soon. Lastly the Remedy Plant Lab helped my hair look lustrous and healthy.
Products featured:
Coconut Vanilla Shampoo and Conditioner Bar by Brixy.
TGF-β Booster serum by Le Mieux.
Le Mini Macaron Manicure Kit in Milkshake.
Hair and Scalp treatment with hemp oil by Remedy Plant Lab.

Aquaman was only patrolling the ocean, not expecting a baby mer swimming with the whales along the way.
It one of the few things he would like to do in his free time is to help the ocean sea with minor problems, a seal having his neck stuck with a plastic can holder, a a couple shark with a hook stuck to her fin/nose or tailfin, a couple of trapped rare fish in poacher traps.
He wasn't expecting a small group of whales, mainly a momma whale and two Baby whales to swim by singing their song while hunting a vast enormous group of krills.
Only to hear a tiny little baby mer singing along with them. It was a boy, with chubby lil arms, a beautiful trails of sparkling white and neon green color, fade gray and black tips mer tailwind. A fainted trail of electric shock probably from a mishap by jellyfish tracing from one of his chubby hand down to his body.
Hair white as snow, eyes greener then the grass on land, tanned skin and a odd sliver mechanism purple clock on a necklace that was ticking slowly despite being in deep underwater.
Arthur was going to get closer but the Momma whale Block his view using her vast body after she noticed him getting closer, the two Baby whales hiding behind her along with the baby mer.
Meanwhile Danny as clockwork apprentice until he grows into his state as the ruler of ghost realm and away from noisy observators has been on a mission to keep the timeline in check in other dimensions. Clockwork insisted this form would do the trick

IF I HAD YOUR FACE (2020) BY FRANCES CHA SPOILER FREE REVIEW
A couple months back I finished If I Had Your Face (2020) by Frances Cha. I was drawn in by the gorgeous magenta and yellow cover of a lovely Korean woman looking lost in thought. This review will discuss my thoughts on plot and characters without giving away spoilers. For spoilers or comparisons of your opinions to mine, check out my Spoiler-Filled Review.
Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
Tumblr media
The story relates the lives of five young Korean women in Seoul who each have their own personal and family hardships. The main ladies we receive first-person narration from are Ara, a mute hairstylist with a tragic past and a K-pop obsession, Kyuri, a room salon worker who knows all the coolest plastic surgery and fashion trends, Miho, a Korean-American artist who made her way out of an orphanage, and Wonna, a newlywed facing the uncertainty of motherhood. While there are five main storylines we hear about, one of the women, Sujin, does not get any chapter narration and thus we can only discover her story via the observation of the other women in the group. She is saving up to be like her role-model, Kyuri, in hopes to be considered rich and beautiful by South Korean standards. I like that this story brings together friendship, through hardship and fun, as well as talking about economic strife and the harsh standards of beauty, marriage, and motherhood expected in their society as women.
I do not know a whole lot about Asian culture, let alone South Korean culture so some of the cultural standards seemed very odd to me. For instance, plastic surgery is not considered taboo/ high maintenance/ unnatural in South Korea as it is in many parts of the United States but is rather encouraged as a way to compete for better opportunities in romance and the workplace. Due to this, I feel like I was able to relate to Miho the most because she is Korean born but spent a few years in the United States as a young adult and is considered the "odd" one of the group due to her American customs and opinions on individuality (American belief) vs community (Asian belief).
My favorite character was Ara because I feel like she had a lot of spunk and I feel like she and I have similar interests and reactions to life's challenges. While I like Miho a lot, some of her decisions made me CRINGE. The most heart-breaking story for me was Wonna and why she is so worried about becoming a mother. Kyuri and Sujin were ok, but I feel like their characters revolved so heavily around working in the salon room and getting plastic surgery that there was not a lot of other interesting things happening in their lives in my opinion. Reading their sections just made me kind of sad to be honest because they were so pretty on the outside but so sad and ashamed on the inside.
This book reminds me a lot of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which I have not read but I have seen both films. However, I think this story relates on a lot darker topics, such as body modification, physical-emotional-and mental abuse, working in the sex and service industry, suicide, adultery, and alcholism.
Would I read this book again?
Probably not because I think the story ended without a lot of the questions I had unanswered. Also, the backstories on most of the women is just pretty depressing. However, I think it is a very interesting book and is worth the read, especially if you are interested in Korean culture.
