Omg that letter Caroline sent to senators about RFK Jr? 👀👀👀👀 she hates his ass. Good for her.
i may or may not have teared up a little. that was such a powerful letter. i watched the video which was also incredibly impactful.
we’ll get to the more pressing issues caroline wrote in the letter but the part where she said that rfk jr. used to show off how he put chickens and baby mice through a fucking blender Hello ? that man is a straight-up sociopath. i mean we knew and it does check but still

“it’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey because he himself is a predator” probably the most powerful line objectively. i think my jaw actually did drop. she caught him dead to rights! a predator every which way.
“i watched his younger brothers and cousins follow him down the path of drug addiction
through his own strength and the many second chances given by people who felt sorry for the boy who had lost his father, bobby was able to pull himself out of illness and disease. i admire the discipline that took and the continuing commitment it requires
but siblings and cousins who bobby encouraged down the path of substance abuse suffered addiction, illness; and death while bobby has gone on to misrepresent, lie, and cheat his way through life.” she didn’t have to say his name but i immediately thought of david and how he used to say that people often looked at him as the black sheep and the reason for bobby jr.’s struggles when it was bobby himself who pushed him to take drugs soon after their father’s death. and not only him but like caroline mentions plenty of “siblings and cousins,” which then had so many terrible ripple effects on the entire family; caroline herself, along with sydney lawford, were the ones who found david after he overdosed. and what she wrote has a lot to do with how bobby jr. operates. he brings people down a destructive path with him but then mid-journey hops right out to save himself and leaves everyone else in the dark without a care for the consequences they have to suffer now because of him. he takes zero responsibility. he does not care. he has never had to take accountability for his actions. and those qualities should never be found or tolerated in a leader.
“wasn’t easy to remain silent last year when bobby expropriated my father’s image and distorted [his] legacy to advance his own failed presidential campaign — and then groveled to donald trump for a job. bobby continues to grandstand off of my father’s assassination, and that of his own father.” cue the applause. like we all remember the jfk 1960 presidential campaign ad that rfk jr. reused for the super bowl
where he plastered his own face on top of jfk’s
like he’s just so odd. again, bobby does not care how his own actions cause other people, even those close or once close to him, pain. like i can only imagine how hurt and angry caroline must have felt, who has never once said a thing about rfk in public because she knows that that honor belongs to his children, to see how rfk jr. wielded and twisted her father’s legacy and assassination for his own gain only to then “grovel” to donald trump after he failed, while STILL stepping on jack and bobby to prop himself up within the MAGA world. just absolutely disgusting. and i’m so glad that caroline mentioned rfk bc his legacy has also been distorted by his own damn son!
the most significant line to me is “unlike bobby, i try not to speak for my father — but i am certain that he and my uncle bobby, who gave their lives in public service, and my uncle teddy, who devoted his senate career to improving health care, would be disgusted.” her what? her FATHER. her uncle what? her uncle BOBBY and TEDDY. anyway, yes they would and this coming from caroline is so, so powerful. will it make a difference? at this point, who knows. but the takeaway here is that she made a stand for jfk & rfk, who aren’t here to make a stand for themselves, and for her family and country, and that warrants so much respect and admiration. she said it herself, it’s not an easy thing to be doing but she did it anyway because it’s the right thing to do. it reminds me of something i heard
a while ago? but not too long ago? something something about doing things not because they are easy but because they are hard? hm. yeah she’s her father’s daughter to a T and it’s something rfk jr. could never understand!
also i think this is the first time she’s ever called bobby her uncle in public as an adult and i’m crying. but like. at what cost.
anyway, caroline kennedy, thank you!

Prestwald Hall
Hi guys!!
I'm sharing Prestwald Hall . This is the 9th building for my English Manors Collection, and I will add many more!
House History: Prestwold Hall was, for many years, the seat of the Packe family. Before that time, it was the home of the Skipwith family. After the death of Major Robert Christopher Packe (born c.1783) - one time Aide-de-camp to King George III - who was killed during the Battle of Waterloo, the hall passed to his nephew George Hussey Packe who held the hall and estate until his death in 1874.
The Hall was remodelled by architect William Burn in 1842–1844, incorporating the fabric of a mid-18th-century H-plan house. It was Grade I listed in 1951.
One of the finest rooms inside the house is the Entrance Hall with its richly coloured marbled plaster work in the Italian style. The painted ceiling was inspired by Raphael’s Vatican grotesques and incorporates miniature landscapes, showing the house before and after its remodelling between 1842 and 1844. Below the ceiling, wreathing the room, are small medallion busts of the poets from Chaucer to Scott, positioned in the spandrels and are likely inspired by Alberti's external arcade at the Tempio Malatestiano in Rimini. An arcade opens on to a vaulted corridor leading to a top lit inner hall: these spaces also marbled. Off the corridor, the cantilevered stone staircase survives from the eighteenth century house, and was given its bracketed brass balusters by William Wilkins (1751-1815) in 1805.
The Dining Room, added by Wilkins in 1805, was incorporated into the remodelling undertaken by the Scottish architect William Burn in 1842. The room is overlooked by two dramatic full length portraits of Sir Edward Hussey Packe, KBE (1878 – 1946) and the Hon. Lady Mary Sydney Packe (nĂ©e Colebrooke, 1890 – 1973) by the painter Glyn Philpot RA (1844 – 1947). The portrait of Lady Packe, painted in 1911, was described by the art historian Robin Gibson OBE as an ‘amazing feat of virtuosity’. Its elongated elegance and introspective characterisation is totally without the fashion-plate vulgarity of much Edwardian portraiture. Other portraits hang in this room of the Packe family including a painting of Sir Christopher Packe (1595 – 1682) who purchased the house in the 17th century painted by Cornelis Janssens van Ceulen (1593 –1661).
The library extends nearly the entire length of the house when the large doors that separate it from the drawing room are opened, connecting the two rooms. With clever use of constructional steel, William Burn was able to create these long adjoining rooms. The windows rise from floor level and open onto the garden which enhances the notion that Prestwold was designed in the style of an Italian classical villa. The doors and bookcases in library were made for George Hussey Packe (1846–1908) by Gillows of Lancaster and London in 1875.
A conservatory fills the recessed central bay at the front of the house, and projects out towards the garden. Behind the glass and elegant Doric pilasters, are well planted raised beds with a number of exotic plants and flowers

bonds.
This was based off a prompt given to me by @eragonsaphira forever ago. All you really need to know is that in Australia and New Zealand, we have an underwear brand called Bonds. You can see where this is going. Rated E. Read here or on AO3.
Bond’s thumb trails over Q’s lower back. Not satisfied with interrupting Q’s routine at work, he seems intent on bringing chaos to Q’s domestic routine as well. That single touch has all the intent of distracting Q from getting his early-morning load of washing done.
“Is there a reason,” Bond purrs, voice still husky from sleep, “that you’re parading around with my name on your pants?”
“What? Your name isn’t—“ Q puts down his laundry basket and looks down at the waistband of his briefs. “Oh.”
“Yes, oh. Recent purchase?”
“No. I got them years ago when I was in Australia with—” Q stops, remembering he really shouldn’t be letting slip about any past beaus high-up in Britain’s intelligence community. Also, he has no urge to encounter Bond’s distinctively green-eyed side, though he suspects that particular boat has already sailed. “Never mind. I was in Sydney.”
“With who?” Something else seems to dawn on Bond, and he narrows his eyes. “I thought you were afraid of flying.”
“Ah, yes. Well, I wasn’t at the time, and the airline lost my luggage, so I bought some clothes. I happened to quite like these, so I kept them.”
“Who were you with, Q?”
“No one important. Though I suppose you aren’t in the mood to leave a man some secrets.”
Bond hums, pressing his mouth to Q’s ear. “You seem to have quite a few of them.”
There’s no real reproach to it. Bond’s hands are still playing at the waistband of his pants with intent. All the same, Q readies himself to part with a few facts about about his past. As casual as this little arrangement is, Q isn’t about to give Bond a reason not to trust him.
“I was there with an ex-boyfriend. And I’m not afraid of flying. I never went to Macau because I’m not a bloody errand boy. M didn’t take kindly to being reminded.”
“Moneypenny is hardly an errand girl.”
“True. I imagine she had other reasons for turning up in your hotel room,” remarks Q loftily. “I had someone from Q Branch ready to go when she intervened.”
Bond smiles, amused. “Jealous, were you?”
“Sorry to tell you, but I was seeing someone at the time.” Q hopes that comes across as casual enough for Bond to move past it swiftly, but his hopes are shot through when Bond's gaze sharpens.
“More ex-boyfriends.”
“Wonders never cease. And on the subject of exes, you’re not allowed to give me any flack at all.”
Bond ignores that in favour of rubbing the cotton of the briefs between his fingers. As he does, his thumb works over and over a sensitive spot on Q’s hip. Q has no doubt he’s doing it on purpose. Bond knows enough about Q’s body these days to play it like a violin.
“They’re cheap,” Bond tuts, snapping at the waist.
Q rolls his eyes. “They’re serviceable. Come to think of it, I believe you’ve been described that way too.”
“Fine things can be serviceable. If they have my name on them, they ought to be better quality.”
“It’s not actually your name. You do see that, don’t you? Or is your eyesight going in your ripe old age?”
Bond smacks Q’s arse rather hard for that, and Q tries very hard not to let out the noise that gathers in his throat.
“I’m willing to forgive the lack of apostrophe,” decides Bond. “I like seeing my name on you.”
“Evidently. You’ve never spanked me before.”
“I should have. You’re a terror.”
“Shall I lie on my front and think of England then? Perhaps you’d like me to call you Da—”
He gets another swat against the other cheek for that, then, with an impatience that signals he’s finished with games for the morning, Bond plasters himself to Q’s back, wrapping his arms around Q’s waist. He’s still warm from bed, and it sends a delicious shiver through Q that only gets stronger as Bond plays lightly with one of his nipples.
“I’d rather you be quiet and come to bed," whispers Bond, "where you’re going to keep those on and ride me until your thighs are shaking and I have to hold you up.”
That sounds like the best use of an hour or two Q has ever heard in his life, but in the interests of annoying Bond even more—something else he considers another excellent use of time— he sighs, pretending to be vexed in spite of the contrary evidence in his pants.
“That sounds like a lot of work for a Sunday.”
“Since when have you been afraid of a bit of weekend work? Get upstairs.”
Q doesn’t budge, though he has plans to soon. Instead, he turns around and leans in to whisper in Bond’s ear.
“You know, they came in a pack of five, and I bought more than one. This isn’t the first time I’ve paraded around with your name on my arse.”
Bond groans and pulls Q into a hot and demanding kiss. It lasts an age, which is not nearly long enough. For all the joy Q gets out of their bickering, he’d be happy never to speak again if it meant Bond would kiss him like this all day, with his searing tongue and skilled lips, and teeth that ever only bite as hard as Q wants them to.
When the break apart, Q is still in the mood to tease. “In fact, if I remember correctly, I was wearing them the day we met, which I considered a very funny joke at the time. And after I handed over that gun, I thought it would be even more fun if, without arousing suspicion, of course—”
“Christ, Q.”
“—we paid a visit to the men’s bathroom so you could find out where my loyalties really lay.”
“You can't be serious. I looked like a wreck,” says Bond, incredulous. He seems a bit overcome.
“I have a great fondness for wrecks. Perhaps that explains why I’m finding this caveman act so
” Q hums, content. Quite seriously, he admits, “I was yours from the start, you know. You’ve never had to worry about that.”
Bond tugs him in for another kiss. Mercifully, there are no more words after that for a very long time.
