To be honest I wouldn't count on a Luigi's Mansion movie happening. I think it would be weird for the 2026 movie to be anything but a direct sequel to the first one with Mario as the main character, and I just don't think Illumination has the resources to just produce Mario spin off films every year since they have their own stuff to work on. Nintendo doesn't own Illumination, so how would you suppose it would be possible to actually get all the Mario spin off films?

I'm not sure I follow what you're trying to say. I never said a Luigi's Mansion Movie was coming in 2026, and I didn't say that spinoffs would be released every year. I'm just banking on a Luigi's Mansion Movie happening eventually, whether it's five years from now or ten years from now.

And if you really think the Nintendo+Illumination isn't going to make an annoying number of sequels and spinoffs after The Super Mario Bros. Movie made $1.36 billion at the box office alone...

Mario looking so scared and worried, holding Luigi gently in his hat with his flippers😭😭 the Mini Mushroom and Ice Flower trees?! The blizzard, little Penguin footprints AND red nose and cheeks?! Attention. To. Detail.

Luigi looking so tired and cold in the hat, his face all red and shivering, his hand in front of his mouth so Mario couldn’t see if he was breathing?!, everyone give this man a big hug right now! And from Mario’s perspective I-My heart! Protect these two at all cost!

Mario waking up with tears in his eyes when he sees Luigi hugging him😭🥹 Luigi’s happy little face, their hair so floofy, Mario exhausted on the couch and wrapped up in the floral patterned blanket?!?! My heart broke and mended all at the same time!😭🥹

This is EXACTLY as I imagined when writing it! The last picture? Maybe even better! This was such a lovely Christmas present to receive and I’m sorry the Christmas fic is taking so long to fix/finish.

So when @pepperycar mentioned doing a Christmas fic, I went back to their works. While they're not quite done uploading the first chapter yet, I stumbled across an older fic called "Cold Place, Warm Hearts" and I was inspired again enough to make fanart of it! I loved Mario being much a protective big bro in a blizzard and snuggling a shrunken Luigi for warmth.

So I was wondering, in canon, the Crystal Gems homeschooled Steven. So why did they decide to send him to school in your AU as opposed to letting him come on missions and teaching him from home?

To give him a more normal human childhood. The whole point was for him to BE HUMAN. So, why not let him experience all those human things, like going to public school?

What do you think Luigi's special interests are?

If I had to guess, I'd say mechanics and reading.

There's some scattered clues across the games that imply Luigi has a knack for mechanics.

Then there's The Mario Movie

It's hard to see the details without the concept art, but on Luigi's side of the room there is a motorcycle calendar and a car poster, as well as robot and car models on his shelves further emphasizing his interest. Then there's all the books he owns. Both Mario and Luigi have their fair share, but Luigi appears to have double the amount that his brother does, which lines up with game canon:

There's also a digital camera and a microscope on the head of Luigi's bed that hint at an interest in photography and science, but those strike me more as fun little side hobbies rather than special interests/hyperfixations.
