i know spiders are arachnids and not insects but... have you considered spiders (i'd totally understand if not, i'm just curious haha)

In the glossary of Alie Kratzer's recently published field guide "The Cicadas of North America" (highly recommended), she defines 'bug' like this:

And this is generally the definition I like to follow, so yes that includes spiders :]

Three more additions to the lanternfly collection, Pyrops lathburii , Pyrops condorinus & Pyrops vitalisius, aka the one with the yellow-tipped nose, the one with the more erratic spot pattern, and the one with the cloudy wings :]

I don't know about you, but drawing these really makes me appreciate the subtle differences between species.

I hope that the people who play the game can also enjoy the sometimes subtle diversity and the thrill of finding a new cryptic species :]
