In solidarity with the LGBTI community and the horrors they are facing currently in Chechnya. If we say nothing we are just as bad as those committing the attrocities. The Vigil was held to send the message to gay men in Chechnya that we care. It is also being held to send the message to our political leaders that we want them to do everything in their power to stop the abduction, detention and torture of gay men in Chechnya.
