Unexpected Circumstances Ch 10
Tumblr media
Warnings: Language.
Early the next evening you were finally setting out, you swapped out all the cards in your wallet, triple checking that there weren’t any business cards lurking somewhere you didn’t want, securely locking your badge and gun in the safe. A brief stop at a storage locker to pick up a few more things, most importantly your burner phone, you used the cab drive over to shift your focus, breathing out the cop personality and breathing back in the undercover life. At least this time would only be a couple of weeks, and you had SVU very on your side, and fully informed, there’d be no mix ups this time and you’d finally be able to return to real life for a while.
Alejandro heard the ping of the elevator echoing through the penthouse, glancing up from the island in the middle of the open kitchen, a wicked grin breaking across his face when you emerged from the elevator. You shot him a sly smirk, tugging off your coat to hang on the rack by the door revealing the low cut lace bodice, pushing up the swell of your chest, tucked into a shorter than normal hip hugging pencil skirt. Heels clicking on the floor as you moved in to greet him.
“You miss me?”
“More than you could imagine Chiquita.” He kissed your cheek gently, “I’m glad you came.”
“Did you really think I’d miss out on all this fun? Besides, when have I ever bailed on you before?”
“I was worried. You stayed in New York this time, thought maybe you were out of the game. And what good is a King without his Queen?” You playfully rolled your eyes at the comment.
“I like the fall in New York. It was easy enough to lay low this time.” You plucked a bacon wrapped scallop off the plate in front of him, popping into your mouth, groaning in satisfaction of how fucking delicious it was. The added bonus of this undercover life, getting to live the high life on the Upper East Side. He chuckled lightly,
“You want me to order more?”
“Always.” You dropped your bag on the stool beside you, pulling out a thick notebook, dropping in onto the table while he busied himself with his phone quickly ordering more food. “Have you had a chance to start organizing parties?” He tucked his phone back into his pocket, looking up at you.
“A few. I’ve started spreading the word. Lookouts are back in the clubs, contacted our regular customers, rounded up our favourite girls…they’ll be more than happy that you’re back.” His eyes shifted towards your notebook,
“But you were always the better organizer, I’m sure you’ve got everything figured out already.” You gave him a soft giggle at that, flipping the book open. You’d outlined the hottest and best dates between now and the New Year, organizing each party with specific girls and guests that would satisfy each others needs the best, along with which nights would be best to invite other pimps to get a better circulation of party goers.
“Just a couple of fun nights before we hit New Years Eve…”
“And then we hit the big bank..”
“Exactly…” You husked, giving a cheeky wink to the man across from you, fully seated into your undercover role. You spent the next few hours going over the paperwork as you added the guest lists into the official books, reaching out to guests, pimps and the girls who you’d need, discreetly of course. It took less time than you’d expected to quickly staff your business back up, everyone eager to work at the busiest time of year when the money was at its highest. You picked over deluxe delicious foods and sipped on far too expensive wine and scotch throughout the time, filling in the large calendar between you, marking the dates in colour coded ink. You did your best to stifle a yawn, not used to working such late hours anymore, Alejandro gave you a soft smile.
“Chiquita, I think we’ve done enough for the night. Why don’t you head up to bed? Your room’s ready and waiting for you.”
“Thank you.” You gave his cheek a soft kiss, collecting your things before you made your way up the stairs, happily collapsing against the comfort of the luxury bed. You had to admit, you were saddened by the thought of curling up alone without Sonny’s body wrapped around yours, but you’d have to deal with it for the next little bit.
***
It had already been two weeks since you’d headed back to the penthouse, you’d had very discreet brief contact with Olivia to confirm on a few details, and reached out to Kat at her undercover alias to arrange ‘her girls’ for the New Years Eve party. You were more than impressed with her UC skill when you introduced her to Alejandro, combing through the regular details of working with a new supplier over an intimate 5 star dinner.
Back at the precinct things were as busy as usual, multiple cases covering the squad’s desks, Amanda had just finished interrogating a perp, exiting the room to find Sonny with a scowl on his face.
“What’s bitin’ you? This is a clear shot of a case.” She asked, it took him a minute to register she was even talking to him, giving. his head a quick shake.
“I know, I know, it’s not that…” He trailed off, half turning to her. Amanda could see the tired bags under his eyes, the little worry lines between his eyebrows more pronounced that normal.
“Carisi, she’s fine…you know that.”
“What?” Still a little lost in his thoughts he quirked a brow at the blonde,
“Sophie…that’s what you’re worried about right?” He gave a half nod, “She knows what she’s doing, she’s been doing it for years. Kat saw her last week, said everything was right on track, there’s nothing to worry about.” She gave his arm a reassuring squeeze.
“Ya. I know. She’s more than capable of handling herself. It’s just…” He took a moment, sighing as he leaned up against the wall, arms crossing over his torso, “I just got ‘er back..” Rollins gave him a sympathetic smile,
“She’ll be back by New Year’s Day.”
“Yeah…not Christmas..” It was safe to say that Christmas was always a lavish event in the Carisi household, you’d spent plenty with them before you’d gone under with this case all those years ago, but this one would’ve had a little bit of extra special to it that Rollins slowly clued into.
“Oh…oh…she went under on your wedding day…this would’ve been—“
“The first Christmas actually married? Yeah.” He pushed off the wall, following Rollins back into the bull pen, “Now she’s back undercover, in God knows how stingy of a hotel room with a sex trafficker…Not exactly an ideal Christmas.”
“Carisi..” Kat gently cut in, not being able to help but overhear, “She’s in a multi floor, 7 bedroom penthouse on the Upper East Side.”
“And I saw her with Alejandro at the bar, she’s got him so tightly wrapped around her finger, he’s not gonna lay a hand on her or let anyone get near her, believe me.”
“Thanks.” Sonny gave a curt smile, he truly did appreciate the insight from the other two, you hadn’t mentioned much about how things worked. He figured you were in some hide-a-house unless you were hosting parties, then again, this was an elite sex ring on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, it screamed luxury. He discreetly asked Kat if she could keep him as updated as possible, both for his personal sanity, and so he could try to keep up with the case before it broke on a professional level. It wasn’t until Christmas Eve he realized you were your usual uber organized loving self when Kat showed up at his door with a hand written letter from you that you’d passed off to her at the last party. On Christmas Day, he arrived at his parents place with showers of praise coming from his Ma about how you’d snuck over and dropped off an armful of presents nearly a month prior. He couldn’t help but fall even more in love with you at just how attentive you were, even when attempting to organize both major crime, and a major crime bust. At least it was only another week and you’d finally be done with this operation and you’d actually be back together again.

Washington Redskins cheerleaders required to pose topless for 2013 photo shoot, according to report

Washington Redskins cheerleaders required to pose topless for 2013 photo shoot, according to report
Washington Redskins cheerleaders were required to pose topless for a photo shoot in 2013, while spectators invited by the team looked on, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
Some of the cheerleaders were then required to attend a nightclub event as escorts for some of the team’s male sponsors, according to the Times.
The cheerleaders said there was no sex involved, but they felt the team was “pimping us out.” The incidents occurred on a weeklong trip to Costa Rica, for which the cheerleaders were not paid.
A former Dolphins cheerleader filed a complaint in Florida against the NFL and the team, alleging discrimination against her religion and gender.
“It’s just not right to send cheerleaders out with strange men when some of the girls clearly don’t want to go,” one of the women told the paper. “But unfortunately, I feel like it won’t change until something terrible happens, like a girl is assaulted in some way, or raped. I think teams will start paying attention to this only when it’s too late.”
The Times also described an annual, mandatory boat outing with sponsors. Some of the women characterized the 2012 trip as “a wild gathering, where men shot liquor into the cheerleaders’ mouths with turkey basters. Below the deck, men handed out cash prizes in twerking contests.”
The Redskins responded to the accounts in a statement to the Times.
“The Redskins’ cheerleader program is one of the NFL’s premier teams in participation, professionalism and community service,” the team said. “Each Redskin cheerleader is contractually protected to ensure a safe and constructive environment. The work our cheerleaders do in our community, visiting our troops abroad and supporting our team on the field is something the Redskins organization and our fans take great pride in.”
The NFL has come under increased scrutiny for how it treats cheerleaders. Two women, former New Orleans Saints cheerleader Bailey Davis and former Miami Dolphins cheerleader Kristan Ware, filed discrimination complaints against the league last month.
Among the issues they cited were gender discrimination, sexual harassment, low pay, long and unpaid hours, and discriminatory social media oversight.
The NFL responded to the lawsuits with a statement saying: “Everyone who works in the NFL, including cheerleaders, has the right to work in a positive and respectful environment that is free from any and all forms of harassment and discrimination and fully complies with state and federal laws.”
The league said it would work with teams “in sharing best practices” to support cheerleading squads.
Sara Blackwell, the lawyer representing the former cheerleaders filing suit, said last week that the women would settle all claims for $1 in exchange for a four-hour, good-faith meeting with commissioner Roger Goodell and lawyers for the league. In a letter to an attorney for the NFL, they asked for a response from the league by Friday.
“We want change,” Blackwell said. “We want the opportunity for change.”

Surrendering Everything Part III The Finale
( Author’s Note: This is the end to this three part story. Again, this will be a long one.)
Rating: M for 18+ audiences
After Benson and Kristoff had finally gotten through those girls, Benson was finally able to head home to spend time with her only son, Noah.
“Noah?” Benson called for his name as she opened her apartment door. “I’m home.”
“Mom!” a young brown eyed boy had cheered as he ran into her arms.
“Hi there,” Benson enveloped her son into a great big hug, “did you have a good day today?”
“Yes Mom,” his brown eyes sparkled with such sweetness, “Luna came to pick me up from school today.”
“Did she?” Benson asked.
“Yes,” a young woman appeared from the bathroom, “as soon as I could.”
“Right.” Benson gave the young woman a smile. “Thank you for picking him up.”
“Not a problem.” the young woman smiled as she exited the apartment.
Soon after Noah had fallen fast asleep, Benson was sitting up in her bed, worrying about the case. “Please don’t go south.” she whispered. “Not like Johnny D’s please.”
Later on, she allowed sleep to consume her in preparation for tomorrow.
“So tell the jury,” Merida started as she kept an eye on the small brunette, “how you came to know the defendant.”
“I was bought by him from another pimp.” the brunette answered.
“Now tell the jury what he did to you.” Merida stated as she looked at the jury.
“He beat me,” she choked, “raped me, and made me do things that I didn’t want to do.”
Merida bit her lip continuously, while every witness on the stand was telling the jury the exact situations that they all had to deal with. Some of the witnesses gave the exact details of how they were “broken in” either by the Duke or by one of his own buddies.
“I was chained to my own bed,” Ariel said with confidence, “when the Duke had brought in his friends.”
“What did they do to you, Ariel?” Merida gave the jury a hopeful look.
“They,” Anna sighed, “continuously raped me, and forced objects into me, until I blacked out. I didn’t even come to until two days later, chained up against the wall.”
“Why were you chained up against the wall, Ariel?” Merida had asked cautiously.
“I was left for dead.” Ariel shed a few tears. “The Duke thought that I was dead. He wanted me to be dead.”
Merida simply nodded at Ariel. “I have no more questions for this witness, your Honor.”
The defense had decided to not question any of the witnesses that the prosecution had on the stand; however, Frollo still had refused doing cross-examination. Then again, Frollo still had one trick up his sleeve; either this trick could be a career changing success or the biggest flop ever.
“Your Honor,” Frollo called out just as Ariel had removed herself from the stand, “I would like to call Anna Bjorman, to the stand.”
Merida looked back at Det. Bjorman’s wife and gave her a surprised face. She couldn’t even believe that his wife was being called to the stand, as a witness.
“Here we go.” Anna whispered to her husband just before she waddled on down to the stand.
“Honey, I love you.” Kristoff murmured with his eyes being hopeful for his pregnant wife.
“Thank you for coming, Mrs. Bjorman.” Frollo smiled sheepishly, as Anna sat down at the witness stand. “Despite the condition that you’re in.”
“I consider him more as a blessing, sir.” Anna softly rubbed her swell for comfort.
“I see,” Frollo clicked his teeth, “now how well do you know my client.”
“Only for a few weeks,” Anna answered with a cold expression, “two weeks to be exact.”
“I see,” Frollo added, “enough time for you to first get pregnant, and then escape.”
“No,” Anna deadpanned, “he raped me several times. Treated me like garbage. Therefore I had no choice but to escape.”
“Now how did you escape?”
“My chains were a bit rusty and easy to break.” Anna said in a matter of factly kind of tone.
“I see,” Frollo was feeling a bit frustrated, “but you returned back to your pimp.”
“Yes,” Anna boosted her confidence even more, “soon after, he kicked me to the curb. I was still able to do some tricks, but by the time my pregnancy began to show I couldn’t do it anymore.”
“I see.” Frollo grinned. “Did my client even try to contact you or your pimp?”
“Of course.” Anna glared at the defendant. “However, he only wanted me to come back and be his property. Therefore I’ve decided to not go back. I didn’t want my child to be raised in that hell.”
“So,” Frollo brushed her off, “you’ve decided to exclude my client from raising his own child at the time.”
“Mr. Frollo,” Anna leaned into the microphone, “let me be clear, I did not know that my daughter’s biological father was the man who raped me continuously for two whole weeks. However, I still didn’t want my daughter to be raised in that hell hole.”
“So you’ve decided to raise the child on your own.” Frollo suggested to Anna. “How did you manage to do that?”
“I had help.” Anna stated.
“Well who helped you?” Frollo spoke with as sly grin over his face.
“My husband and his family.” Anna gave the jury a hopeful glance. “At the time, he was a good samaritan to me when I was in labor with my daughter.”
“I see,” Frollo commented, “but then you two had developed a relationship and then eventually married.”
“Yes.”
“Now your husband is planning to adopt my client’s daughter.” Frollo’s words had struck both Anna and Kristoff to the core.
“She’s my daughter,” Anna gave him the death glare, “and he’ll be adopting her.”
“But you had wanted to find out who her biological father was.” Frollo corrected her.
“Yes,” Anna rolled her eyes, “I wanted to find out who he was and to add him to my daughter’s birth certificate.”
“I see.”
“But our intentions were to only have my husband adopt our daughter.” Anna gave a serious look. “Not to have my husband sabotage the arrest and to cause some sort of police corruption. Now if you think that there was some police corruption involved, I can tell you that you’re wrong.”
Everyone sat there in nothing, but pure silence.
“Ah thank you.” Frollo flustered as he sat back down at his desk, next to his client.
“You’re welcome.” Anna grinned  as if she had made an achievement at something.
“Your Honor,” Merida smiled as she stood up from her desk, “ may I continue on questioning this witness?”
“Yes.” the judge nodded.
“So since the defense had decided to open up the idea of your husband adopting your daughter,” Merida began as she looked at her paperwork, “do you think that your own husband would honestly compromise the investigation?”
“No,” Anna implied, “I think that my husband was doing his job.”
“Meaning?” Merida quirked an eyebrow.
“Meaning, that my husband had arrested a man who sold, abused, and raped women for guilty pleasures.” Anna recalled while she held onto her seat for dear life.
“Now, could you tell us how you’ve managed to escape the warehouse?” Merida carefully approached the question to Anna.
Anna closed her eyes as the memories of her past had started to play in her mind.
Flashback
Young Anna knew that she couldn’t stay any longer in this hell on Earth. She couldn’t stand the fact that she was being used as a piece of property, yet she knew that she was worthless in the Duke’s eyes. “And all I had to do was to obey him.” she whispered hoarsely as she swayed against the rusty chains. Her wrists were sore as hell, no thanks to the constant rubbing from the shackles wrapped against the,. Her body was soaked with blood and sweat, while still containing  her lifeless, crushed soul. She didn’t even know how she can still be alive in her body and still feel dead on the inside. Maybe I’m worth something. she thought as she moved her wrists continuously.
She continued on moving her wrists, until she had heard the sound of freedom; one of the rusty chains had fallen to the ground. At first she hung her head in silence, but then she realized what she had to do.
She had to escape and she had to do it now.
End flashback
“Mrs. Bjorman,” Merida gently whispered in front of her witness, “are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” Anna snapped herself out of her past.
“Now,” Merida kept an eye on her, “could you please tell us how you’ve managed to escape?”
“I was chained to my bed,” Anna breathed, “but then I had managed to break them and escape that way.”
“Oh.” Merida mouthed.
“Liar!” the Duke fumed from his chair.
“Enough!” the judge countered. “Frollo, get your client under control.”
“Bitch!” the Duke continued as he pointed at Anna. “You’re such a whore! You deserve to die!”
“Order!” the judge continuously pressed her gavel. “Order in the court!”
“You bitch!” the Duke had finally shouted out, just before he ran to the nearest court officer.
“Someone get that man!” the judge ordered, as the Duke removed the officer’s gun.
However, the officers in the room were already too late; the Duke had made a shot at the judge.
No! Anna thought as she watched the judge fall from her seat. Please no!
Kristoff couldn’t even believe what was happening right in front of him. At first him, his wife, and the entire squad were attending the trial. Now it was beginning to look like a blood bath.
“Stay back!” the Duke raged as he aimed the officer’s gun at anyone in the courtroom. “I said stay back!”
“Please you don’t need to do this!” a female officer had tried to calm down the situation.
“Shut up bitch!” the Duke shot the officer in the leg.
“He’s getting away.” Olaf stated as him and Kristoff began to follow the suspect to the other side of the courtroom.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got him.” Kristoff kept his gun drawn.
“Kristoff,” Olaf made his serious expression, “I’ve got him. Go and help the others.”
Kristoff nodded as he watched his partner follow the suspect into the opposite room.
Anna couldn’t even believe at the scene that was unfolding right in front of her. Please God help us. she thought as she watched her husband in the midst of the chaos unfolding. She sighed at the thought of her husband being safe, but then her thoughts had changed to something even more serious than ever.
Her water had broke after the Duke took aim at the female officer. She cringed at the pains following behind. “Please God.” she prayed as she looked around for help.
“Hey,” one of her husband’s colleagues, Judy, had approached Anna at the stand, “are you okay?”
“Define okay.” Anna cried out as they both looked down at the puddle of water underneath her.
“Oh shit,” Judy looked panicked, “let’s not have the baby here.”
“Ya think?”
“What’s going on?” Sven rushed on over to Anna and Judy.
“She’s in labor.” Judy looked over at Sven.
Sven then quickly helped Anna from her seat and onto the floor nearby.
“No,” Anna grabbed Sven’s tie and pulled him close, “I’m not having this baby without Kristoff!”
“Okay,” Sven agreed as he pulled out his radio, “shots fired! Need a bus in the courtroom, there’s a woman in labor!”
“Argh!” Anna cried out in pain and frustration.
“Benson!” Kristoff rushed on over to his lieutenant and the female officer. “Is she alright?”
“She’ll be fine.” Benson stated while keeping pressure on the officer’s bullet wound. “It was just a bullet wound.”
Just then both him and his lieutenant heard another round of bullets flying outside the courtroom. Shit! Kristoff thought as he made his way through the crowd.
“Police!” Rollins stated while both her and Kristoff spread throughout the crowd, “Move, c’mon out of the way!”
Please don’t be dead. Kristoff though about his partner being in some sort of trouble. He panicked at the thought of his partner being found all bloodied up from the bullet wounds spreading throughout his body.
“Olaf!” Kristoff called out from behind the door. “Rollins and I are coming in!”
With one hard shove, both Rollins and Kristoff had managed to barge open the door. Long and behold the entire area was filled with shattered glass, debris, and blood all over the floor.
“What the hell?” Kristoff continued on keeping his guard up until he saw his partner on the ground. “Olaf!”
“Over here.” a faint voice choked out from the bloodied tile floor.
“You okay?” Kristoff knelt down to his partner.
“Let’s see,” Olaf hissed in pain as he tried to move his bloodied shoulder.
“Try not to move your shoulder.” Kristoff began to remove the blood-stained fabric on Olaf’s shoulder.
“Fuck,” Olaf gritted his teeth. “It hurts like shit.”
“I know.” Kristoff quickly examined his partner. “Looks like you got hit in the knee.”
“Seriously?”
“Dead serious.” Kristoff looked over at Rollins and the suspect. “How’s the Duke doing?”
“He’s gone.” Rollins called it as she examined the Duke’s body. “Olaf got him.”
Kristoff let out a sigh of relief, knowing that the Duke was finally gone; although, he didn’t expect his partner to shoot the suspect.
“What happened?” Benson questioned the two detectives as she entered the area with EMT’s right by her side.
“Olaf exchanged fire with the suspect,” Kristoff walked on over to the lieutenant, “and the suspect is now dead. Olaf is also injured in the leg and shoulder.”
“Wow,” Benson surveyed the scene while the EMT’s went on over to Olaf, “thanks.”
“How’s everyone in there?” Kristoff asked with such concern in his voice.
“The judge is expected to be okay,” Benson recalled, “took a bullet to her shoulder. The female C.O. has a bullet to her calf. Other than that, everyone else is in shock, but expected to be okay.”
“And my wife?” Kristoff felt slightly panicked.
“Go see her.” Benson pointed him in the right direction.
“Thank you!” Kristoff ran past his lieutenant and right back into the courtroom.
Kristoff soon felt the entire courtroom was no longer in chaos, once he saw all of the medical personnel was assisting anyone needing medical attention. He smiled at the thought of people being well-taken care of, without any major issues. He knew that he was in a calm place,  until he saw two of his other colleagues surrounding his heavily pregnant wife, who was also on the floor.
“Gah!” Anna gasped while another wave of pain flooded throughout her body.
“Anna,” Sven looked alarmed as he held her hand throughout the entire contraction, “hold on, Kristoff’s coming!”
“Sven,” Judy looked over at Kristoff running on over. “Kristoff’s here. Anna hold on.”
“Please!” Anna cried out just as Kristoff had arrived to her aide.
“Anna.” Kristoff cooed while holding her hand calmly. “You’re ready for this?”
“Fuck no,” Anna barked out at her husband, “not here and like hell I’ll be having him in this courtroom.”
“Anna,” Judy felt a sweat coming from her brow, “just don’t push. EMT’s are on their way.”
Anna gave them a small, pale smile, just before another contraction hit her body.
“Hey,” Kristoff shouted out at the EMT’s nearby, “we need some help over here! My wife’s in labor!”
Sure enough, two EMT’s rushed on over with a gurney in hand.
“Please God not now,” Anna prayed as Kristoff carried her onto the gurney, “I’m not ready to this baby.”
“My daughter,” a faint whisper sung through her ears, “he’s ready to see you and your husband.”
“Then God give me the strength to deliver our child.” Anna quietly responded as both her and Kristoff held onto each other’s hands for dear life.
“How far along are the contractions, ma’am?” one of the EMT’s had asked as they rushed on out of the courthouse.
“About five minutes apart.” Anna breathed once they had reached the nearest ambulance.
“Good,” another EMT smiled, “that would give us enough time to get to Belleview.”
“Shit!” anna freaked out while holding onto her husband’s hand. “I forgot about Laura.”
“Don’t worry,” her husband reassured her, while pressing numbers into his phone,
Anna let out a smile while the ambulance doors were shut closed.
“Ma and Pa,” Kristoff spoke through the phone, “Anna is having our baby… Yes, Laura can come and see him… Okay, see you soon.”
“So despite the chaos back there,” the EMT made small talk to the couple, while examining Anna, “the mother and the baby are expected to be okay.”
“Thank you.” Kristoff smiled at the EMT.
After twenty minutes of being rushed to the hospital, both Anna and Kristoff had let out a sigh of relief.
“We’re here.” Kristoff kissed her hand softly.
“I know.” Anna rolled her eyes along with her hormones kicking in. “I’m so ready to have this baby.”
Kristoff laughed wholeheartedly as they made their way into the hospital. He was so excited to welcome their son into the world, yet he was afraid that he wouldn’t be the perfect father. Luckily his fears began to fade away, once he saw all of his colleagues and their families out in the waiting room.
“So how’s Olaf doing?” Judy asked her colleagues while they all were patiently waiting for the good news.
“Um the detectives are doing surgery on him right now.” Sven recalled. While taking a sip from his water cup. “Bullet went through his shoulder. The other bullet is lodged into his knee.”
“Oh,” Judy gave Sven a horrified look, “his shoulder can heal, but the knee?”
“I know.” Sven nodded while Judy just shook her head in frustration.
“Man, I can’t even believe that it happened again.” Rollins mentioned to her lieutenant, over a small cup of coffee.
“I know,” Benson agreed, “but knew that he had no way of getting out of there alive.”
“Go figure,” Rollins sipped her black coffee, “by the way, Kristoff and Anna are here.”
“Really?” Benson looked surprised at her detective.
“Yep,” Rollins pulled out her phone, “Kristoff just sent me a text about his wife being in labor.”
“Oh geez,” Benson breathed, “above all days, it had to happen today.”
“I know, lieutenant,” Rollins whispered while flipping through her phone, “well looks like Anna had just delivered a  healthy baby boy.”
“Let me see,” Benson looked over her detective’s shoulder, “wow he looks so beautiful and strong.”
“He is,” a voice had echoed through the room, “healthy and strong, just like his mom.”
“Kristoff,” Sven smiled as he slapped Kristoff on the back, “congratulations man!”
“Thanks!” Kristoff smiled as he felt the support from his friends.
“So what did you name him?” Judy asked with such eagerness in her voice.
“Charles Xavier Bjorman.” Kristoff stated proudly.
Just before anybody could say anything about the newborn’s name, a young little one squealed in excitement and ran into Kristoff’s arms. “Daddy!”
“Hey there!” Kristoff cried out while his daughter nestled herself into his big warm hug. “Daddy and Mommy missed you. Have you been a good girl for Mama Bulda and Poppa?”
Laura continuously nodded her in response.
“When we told her about her little brother,” his mother began while containing her own excitement, “she couldn’t wait to see him.”
“Go figure.” Kristoff held his daughter close to his heart.
“Heard what happened over the police scanner.” his father gave Kristoff a worried look.
“Well it could have been worse,” Kristoff kissed the top of Laura’s forehead, “but the doctor said that Anna was very lucky to be alive.”
“I see,” his father nodded, “and the suspect?”
“Dead at the scene,” Kristoff reported as he got up from his spot, “c’mon let’s go and see the new baby.”
“Yay!” Laura giggled as she skipped on down the hallway with her father and grandparents.
Sunshine had peeked through the small window of a large room filled with small newborn clothes in a huge pile by the bathroom, a bassinet settled at the end of the bed, and a young couple slowly waking up from each other’s warmth.
“Good morning,” the young man had yawned after he opened his eyes to the love of his life, “I love you, Anna.”
“Morning Kristoff,” Anna giggled in reply, “and I love you, too.”
“You know what today is?” Kristoff felt his heart go about in excitement.
“The day you formally adopt our daughter, Laura.” Anna said, feeling her heart swell with love.
“Of course.” Kristoff kissed his wife tenderly, letting their love consume them.
They continued on snuggling in their huge bed, until they heard little whimpers coming from the bassinet.
“Guess it’s time to get up.” Anna smiled warmly as she went to the edge of their bed.
“Ya think?” Kristoff sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes.
“Good morning, my little guy.” Anna gently picked up their son from the bassinet and began to change him.
Kristoff smiled as he watched his wife playfully interacting with their son on their bed. He loved the fact that both him and his wife have created such a beautiful child. So far Kristoff was able to notice his son has darker hair and the big nose, but still he knew that their son will have a lot of growing up to do. For right now, all Kristoff does care about is that his son is perfect and healthy.
“Kristoff,” Anna handed their son over to him, “I need to get Laura and up ready for the day.”
“Seriously?” Kristoff chuckled while gently rocking their son close to his chest. “She’s a heavy sleeper and so not a morning person.”
“Just like you.” Anna giggled after she jumped out of bed and made her way out of their bedroom.
Kristoff just grinned while he held his son close to his heart.
Anna quietly tip-toed on down to her daughter’s bedroom. She was hoping that their daughter’s bedroom. She was hoping that their daughter would be fast asleep in her own bed. However once Anna had opened the door, she noticed that her daughter was already up for the day. ` `
“Well good morning, sunshine.” Anna whispered while her daughter was busy picking out her favorite dress.
“Mommy!” Laura squealed out in surprise, while holding up her blue Elsa dress. “Elsa dress!”
“Oh I don’t think so, sweetheart,” Anna giggled while she placed the dress back in Laura’s dressup box, “today is a special day.”
Laura pouted and folded her little arms against her chest.
“Hmm.” Anna placed her hands at her hips. “I bet I can make you just as beautiful as Queen Elsa.”
“Princess Laura?” Laura batted her adorable eyelashes.
“Yes,” Anna smiled, her heart bursting at the seams, “Princess Laura.”
“Yay!” Laura giggled as she twirled around.
“What’s all of the commotion going on in here?” a tall figure had appeared in the doorway.
“Daddy!” Laura exclaimed as she ran into her father’s arms. “Mommy is making me Princess Laura.”
“She is?” Kristoff gave his daughter a surprised look.
Laura nodded while smiling from ear to ear.
“C’mon Laura,” Anna called for her daughter as she began to go through their daughter’s closet, “help Mommy find a dress. Both Daddy and Charlie need to get ready, okay?”
“Kay.” Laura made a beeline to the closet, after she gave her dad a good morning kiss.
After their morning fiasco was done, the entire Bjorman family soon piled into the family truck and went straight to the courthouse. Kristoff was feeling a bit nervous about the ceremony that was going to take place with his daughter. He was honored with the fact that his own daughter had insisted on him wearing his police uniform for the ceremony. She said that his uniform made him look like a king. Even though that this ceremony doesn’t require him to wear his uniform, yet he kept his word for his daughter’s happiness.
“Ready?” Anna gave her love a gentle squeeze on the thigh.
“You know it, Anna.” Kristoff grabbed his wife’s hand and kissed it.
Both Anna and Kristoff couldn’t wait any longer for this day to arrive
“Congratulations Anna and Kristoff,” Sven made a small toast to the young couple, “for having two beautiful children in this world.”
“Thanks Sven.” Kristoff took a small sip from his champagne.
“Well we wouldn’t be here really if it wasn’t my husband, who had brought us all together.” Anna had added, while gently rocking the wee one to sleep.
“Agreed.” Rollins smiled while watching the young children playing in the living room.
“Say,” Judy began before she went into the kitchen to get her some light appetizers, “shouldn’t Merida and Olaf be here soon?”
“Ah yes,” Benson quickly glanced at her phone, “they should be here shortly.”
“Hey Sven,” Anna looked over at the detective, “wanna hold him?”
“Sure.” Sven opened up his arms and Anna then placed little Charlie in there. “Hey there buddy.”
“Ever thought about having kids, Sven?” Kristoff asked as he watched his wife playing with the children.
“Nah, just waiting for the right woman.” Sven shook his head while holding onto little Charlie. “Maybe another lifetime.”
“I see.” Kristoff nodded, just before the doorbell had rung.
“Momma!” an older girl cried out to Rollins as she got up from the floor. “Can I open the door?”
“I don’t know, Jessie.” Rollins cocked an eyebrow. “Why don’t you go and ask Uncle Kristoff?”
“How about this,” Kristoff knelt down to her level, “why don’t you, Noah, Laura, and I open the front door?”
“Yay!” Both Laura and Noah shouted as they raced to the front door.
“Alrighty,” Kristoff rolled his eyes playfully while he grabbed the doorknob, “who is it?”
“It’s us, you fool.” a heavy Scottish accent mumbled through the door.
“Meddy!” Laura bounced up and down in her spot. “Meddy! Meddy!”
“Open the door, Uncle Kristoff!” Noah smiled as he was patiently waiting by the door.
“Alrighty.” Kristoff unlocked the door, allowing both Merida and Olaf to enter in.
“Hey there kiddos.” Olaf hobbled on through the front door. “I’m coming through here, now.”
“Olaf.” Anna smiled warmly as she got up from the floor and carefully gave her husband’s partner a welcoming hug. “It’s so good to see you. You’re lookin good.”
“Thanks.” Olaf returned the favor as best as he could with his crutches in the way.
“Here,” Merida handed Kristoff a small gift, “this gift would bring you and your family good luck.”
“Thanks.” Kristoff hugged his colleague in appreciation.
“So let’s have some fun, kids.” Merida geared her attention to the kids in front of her.
“Ya!” all three of them had cheered.
After the celebratory branch was over, everyone was enjoying each other’s company throughout the Bjorman household. Laura and her friends had scampered off to play dress up in her room; however, they had to be quiet because Charlie was napping in his nursery. While the children were playing, all of the adults were busy chatting away either in the living room or in the kitchen.
Anna had enjoyed the company of her husband’s colleagues. She loved the fact that she could openly talk about her past, without the fear of being judged by others. She even liked the fact that some of his colleagues were also parents to children around her daughter’s age.
“So are you enjoying your time at home with the family?” Rollins asked Anna while sitting on the loveseat across from her.
“Of course.” Anna grinned while she reclined back on the couch. “Laura is being a big help to her little brother. Talks up a storm to him sometimes.”
“I see.” Rollins chuckled at the thought of her own daughter doing that, too. “When Jessie was younger, she used to do that to my Momma.”
“Funny,” Anna agreed, “Laura also does that to Kristoff. He always claims that she gets that from me.”
Both Rollins and Anna had chuckled  at her remark.
“So they both look happy.” Sven whispered at Judy. “Especially what had happened the other day.”
“I know.” Judy had glanced over at Olaf, Kristoff, and their litenanuent in the kitchen.
“The doctors told me that my leg would take some time to heal.” Olaf commented as he adjusted his crutches. “May require some PT and even the possibility of going limp on a cane.”
“In which you would be on desk duty for a while then?” Kristoff casually mentioned to his partner.
“Ya about that.” Olaf looked over at his litenanuent.
“What do you mean?” Benson looked surprise at her detective. “You’re in good shape and health. We’re going to fight this.”
“Look,” Olaf kept his voice serious, “I’m not going to get promoted. In fact, I’ve decided to retire early. Besides, I can take at least three-fourths of my pension and have it tax free.”
Both Kristoff and Benson couldn’t even believe that Olaf was leaving the department.
“But my father could get you an administrative position.”Kristoff implied while holding onto the kitchen counter for dear life.
“Kristoff,” Olaf stopped his partner, “my mother is elderly and needs special care.”
“So you’re going through with this?” Benson gave her detective a serious look.
“Yes.” Olaf returned the favor.
“Well,” Benson took a sip from her champagne, “I wish nothing but the best of luck.”
“Thanks.” Olaf nodded just as Benson left the kitchen to sit with the others in the living room.
“So,” Kristoff cocked an eyebrow at his partner, “you’re pretty much leaving?”
“Ya.” Olaf agreed while taking another sip at his drink. “Look, I know that you and I have been only working together for a year.”
“I know.” Kristoff stated. “When I first started to work here, I was nothing but a cop with a fiancee and her daughter. Now because of you, I have a family.”
“Wow.” Olaf was completely blown away with his partner’s remark.
After the little get together was over, the entire Bjorman family had begun their bedtime routine.
“Mommy,” Laura gurgled some water in the bathroom sink, “Daddy, I’m done.”
“Okay bug.” Anna had shouted from down the hallway while changing Charlie into his bedtime onesie. “Daddy is going to read to you a bedtime story.”
“Oh c’mon.” Kristoff had whispered while wrapping his arms around her small, motherly waist. “Why don’t we both go on and read together.”
“Daddy, I’m in bed!” Laura squealed out from her bedroom.
“Alright.” Kristoff kissed his wife’s cheek. “I’ll be there shortly.”
Kristoff then left both Anna and little Charlie alone in the nursery. Since Kristoff’s job could take up his time with his family, Anna had to make sure that Kristoff would spend some quality time with their daughter; therefore, Anna told him to read their daughter a bedtime story.
“Daddy,” Anna could hear from Laura’s bedroom, “Elsa’s dress is blue not red.”
“Oh I don’t think so,” Kristoff’s voice could be heard while Anna was finishing up with Charlie.
“Yes it is.” Laura had insisted as Anna had approached Laura’s bedroom doorway.
Anna just smiled at the interaction going on between Kristoff and their little girl. She couldn’t even believe that she was now living the dream  that she had wanted in her past life. She knew that her dream wouldn’t even exist, if it wasn’t for her husband that had saved her on that Christmas Eve.
“Hey,” Kristoff smiled up at his wife, while holding up the Frozen book for Laura, “do you want to join us for bedtime story.”
“Please Mommy.” Laura batted her small eyelashes.
“Oh okay.” Anna giggled while sitting down with Charlie in her arms.
After the bedtime story was over, Kristoff simply gave bedtime kisses and tucked Laura right into bed.
“You’re so good with her.” Anna gave her husband a loving look, while nursing their wee one in bed.
“Ya,” Kristoff said while brushing his teeth, “she’s such a sweet kid, Anna.”
“Well,” Anna responded as she continued on nursing, “she gets that from you.”
“No.” Kristoff had settled himself in bed. “She gets that from you.”
“Kristoff,” Anna kissed his cheek lightly, “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” her husband held her protectively close to his chest.
“You know I wouldn’t even be here,” Anna began quietly, “if you didn’t even save me and our daughter.”
“I know,” Kristoff helped Anna with Charlie, “but we wouldn’t be here enjoying this special moment.”
After a few more precious moments of spending time with their son, Anna quietly placed Charlie in his bassinet.
“He looks so  peaceful.” Kristoff cooed while softly touching their son’s cheek.
“Yes.” Anna yawned while settling back into bed. “C’mon let’s get some sleep. Knowing him, he’ll be up in like four hours.”
“Alrighty,” Kristoff snuggled into bed with his wife, “good night.”
“Good night.” Anna gave him a long, sweet kiss, knowing that she would be spending the rest of her life in his loving embrace.

Featured artist: Redd Moody - The florida rapper that got the streets talking...
As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Redd Moody from Gainesville to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...
Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Redd Moody! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?
Redd Moody: When I was in high school, I seen one of my partners Pakman Blaze do a talent show.He performed a song that he wrote and produced/ recorded right in his room at his home all his self! After he walked off stage the whole school went crazy! Back then, way I'm from there was no local rappers at our age with a recorded song out back then! So seeing the response from the way he rock that crowd made me say to myself, damn I can do that! Plus I had be writing songs in class all day and rapping in the lunch room with a few of my homies who listened to rap music. After leaving the talent show I went home and started working on a tape.I got the bass boosted tapes to record on with two tape players, one to play the beat and one to record my voice. It was over after that! Lol ,I never stop doin music since that day forth!
"Let your actions speak louder than your words!"
Being a rapper is so competitive and everyone is trying to discredit everything you say and do at every moment. Bruh, you have to learn how to separate yourself from negative people, who are not in-line with what you are trying to accomplish. You will be tested over and over but one thing your haters can't take away from a artist is your work. Most of the time a artist gets the most criticism from people who can't even write a rap or rhyme to save their life! The only way to shut those critics up is threw your actions! Once you prove them wrong, over and over without arguing or getting upset with them, you'll usually win them over!
- Redd Moody
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yeah, I have been doin shows in Florida this past year ,I try to get booked as much as I can. I haven't had a show in almost two months because I was working on finishing up this new ,#certified project! But I do have some shows on the calendar for next month and the month after so I can't wait to get back on stage and rock out with this GShit I just just dropped! Oh and if anyone wanna book me for ya birthday partys, or events you can hit the email [email protected] This is the only booking email to book me at!!! Prices going up soon so get at me ASAP before my project drop 1st of the year. I will come rock yo shit and show love to yo city or town!knowdat
Best punchline you ever wrote?
"I know he working fa dem people he been ah snitch / if they lookin for some chicken tellin em Popeyes got sandwiches"
- Redd Moody
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I'm currently working on dropping a new song every few months until I drop my CERTIFIED project! It's gone be hard I promise.Thats all I do,i mean from the beats to the lyrics,I'm goin in like its my last time rapping or something! I know the type of music I do created a lot of hate towards me because I speak the truth in my songs and I don't hold back on how I feel about situations that really be goin on in our area of North Florida. By doing that, it's a lot of fans that look up to me fa being so bold & aggressive in my music during this climate of the rap world that is all about not offending the wrong people, but I feel that's what makes me stand out and a lot of people salute me for standing for something and not being a yes man! My music redefines the definition of down south gangsta music! I'm standing on that old law,the same mind set 2pac had when he was in his creative state of mind.We just built different in North Florida and we don't give up easy, the motto around here is we don't get mad we get even! And that's really how shit is down here so my music speaks on real life emotions that street cats feel and the mind set in which they are in that leads up to why a lot of things take place in the streets.I speak about trust, love, hate, jealousy, friendship, loyalty, lust, pain, Betrayal, anger, depression, gun violence, and a lot more realistic things..but I put the medicine in the candy so to say! I'm not going to preach or judge ,I just get a hardcore raw ass beat and I get Str8 to the point ,raw and uncut! And my fans love it!
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yea,I would sign to a major, i fell there is only so far you can go on your own as an independent artist and one day I wanna be on the radio and billboards top 10! That's just a dream of mine to have a machine behind me to get my voice heard all over the world at one time and everybody knows my song. So with the right situation and team behind me I would do it. I have turned down deals before but I was stuck in my old way of thinking back then and I was trying to prove a point to a few people that I can do it on my own! But I learned that you need a team and at the end of the day it's about handling your business as a artist. I want to sign with a major to learn from them on how the enter machine works so I can one day partner with a major and run my own company! Plus I want to make my mark in my area to show these youngsters that it's possible to come from where we come from and make it to a level we only dream of! So yes,i would definitely sign..i always looked up to cash money records and I like how Atlantic records put out there artist as well as interscope!
Any last words?
SayNie,i wanna give a Big salute to Putnam County,Fl that's what molded me into the person I am today! City of Palatka,Fl is a big part in the shaping of my music because I can up listening to a few big dawgs from east Palatka such as Korner boy entertainment with Twan Dallas He was the 1st Rapper to ever put Putnam County on the map and it was rumored that T.I. Stole his song "SET IT OUT" which was a major hit in our area and they say Tip put the song on his group PSC (pimp squad click) album back in the day and that had the city upset fa sum years i remember. Then you got the L&HH reality star lil Scrappy who use to rap and had a song called "Headbussas" out back in the day around the time that shit happen with Ti and Twan D. Lil Scappy came to our section and did a show a my uncle cluband called out the whole city like we just pussy or weak down here! Excuse my language bruh but ,this fuck nigga just did an interview about a week ago acting like he don't know why the whole hood jumped on him in the club that night! "Lil Scrappy know why they jump on him", he got on the mic and say that we was country, lame, and dirty! Then he say he don't see no Gs in the building and that we act like we don't love him …somebody even said they heard him say fuck 3rd life! And that's a good in Putnam county that is well known fa gang bangin so what you expected my nigga? My lil dawg who died shortly after all that shit happen was the one who hit Scrappy in his mouf that night! The whole city knows this.i just dropped a song and I didn't hold back on how I feel about dawg! I don't really do the rap beef shit and how I see it this ain't no beef, but you not bout to mention my section and not get a response from one of the certified steppas that's all I know! It's 3 Main Street rappers that's well known in Putnam County, and I'm one of them! Knowdat it's my duty to say something ya heard meh!
Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?

Thank you for your time. We wish you much success in your further career.

Here’s what happened when the GLAMOUR style squad designed their very own Fiat 500 Collezione
http://fashion-trendin.com/heres-what-happened-when-the-glamour-style-squad-designed-their-very-own-fiat-500-collezione/
Here’s what happened when the GLAMOUR style squad designed their very own Fiat 500 Collezione
Thought customising cars was solely reserved for Xzibit in Pimp My Ride on MTV circa 2006? Think again!
GLAMOUR UK was given the opportunity of a lifetime – to customise our very own Fiat 500 Collezione in all its millennial pink glory.
With 500,000 ways to personalise at launch, almost every Fiat 500 on the road was unique. People weren’t buying it to get from A to B, but as an outward expression of their individuality and style. So, it was a dream come true for GLAMOUR UK when we were granted the opportunity to style our very own version.
Forever a favourite amongst the style-conscious, our team couldn’t wait to get their hands on the Fiat 500 Collezione and give it the GLAMOUR touch. Watch the video to see what happened.
So who made up the GLAMOUR style squad?
Portia Ferrari, one of GLAMOUR’s favourite influencers, was on the roster. Not only does she have makeup artist, model AND presenter firmly on her CV, this stylish influencer is also the star of our ‘FastGLAMOUR’ beauty series, meaning she lives and breathes our brand.
Dennis Lye, GLAMOUR’s Creative Lead, also joins our style squad. It’s Dennis’s creative vision that has shaped GLAMOUR’s flawless aesthetic. He knows exactly how to reflect the GLAMOUR girl in everything he does with an artistic eye that is second to none – so we knew he’d give our car the kickass makeover we dreamt of.
The third member of the GLAMOUR style squad entrusted with giving the car the GLAMOUR touch was Ashlee Hill, our resident stylist who is responsible for styling our popular ‘Insta Style’ series. Ashlee is a confident, passionate girl boss who knows just how to make women feel confident inside and out. So why not try out her aesthetic expertise on a car?
For 60 years, the Fiat 500 has been the ultimate life accessory for those with an eye for style. Why? The car’s design takes its cues from fashion and pop culture, comes in 15 fashion-forward colours and boasts interior patterns inspired by the catwalk. As our BTS video attests, the GLAM Squad couldn’t wait to transform this car into the very best kind of accessory.
Ashlee tells the team to start thinking about shapes and colours of the car, noting: “It’s a really fun and cool car” and describing it as “the ultimate accessory”.
Our trio headed to the inspiration corner, where they perused a mix of polaroids, archive imagery and car designs while thinking long and hard about GLAMOUR’s unique personality and how to define the individual style of the magazine.
They explored the heritage and visual identities, pinning image and magazine page references onto the board to create a working mood board, where Dennis explains: “The GLAMOUR reader is really fun and adventurous”, with Portia adding: “The Fiat 500 owner wants to turn heads.”
The team then begin thinking about motifs to appear on the side of the car, with Dennis championing an illustrator called Agustina, saying: “I just like how she depicts women; I feel like we need some of this on the car.” The team agree and head over to the styling zone to start accessorising the car.
“We need to come up with a look that’s quite classic and colourful with a modern twist. A little bit smarter and a little bit chic.”
Urban Ear headphones, a Pampelone dress, Victoria Beckham sunglasses and Jimmy Choo heels are, of course, an essential part of the overall look.
Taking a look at the final car, in our humble opinion, we think it’s endlessly chic, on-trend and entirely reflective of the GLAMOUR brand.
The best part? You could win, we repeat *win*, the GLAMOUR car and all the fabulous goodies inside. Featuring beauty and fashion staples from Topshop, Herschel, UGG, Lipstick Queen, Coco & Eva and so many more, this really isn’t a prize any GLAMOUR woman wants to miss out on. All you have to do is enter the Lady Garden Lottery – and every last penny will go to an amazing cause.
Lady Garden is a campaign run by a group of British women on a mission to change the future of female cancers. Why? Because right now these cancers are nicknamed the silent killers. There are many reasons for this but a massive one is – YOU.
Yes, you! And your best friend, your sister, mum and auntie – you’re all too embarrassed to talk about your bodies.
The charity’s recent research revealed that over a third of women are too embarrassed to go to the doctor with gynaecological concerns – let alone talk to a friend.
We think it’s time to change that. Don’t you?
Get involved by buying a Lady Garden Lottery ticket, helping a good cause and being in with the chance of winning this epic car and everything inside. It’s very tempting, isn’t it?
Well, what are you waiting for? To enter the Lady Garden Lottery, and for full terms and conditions including the full list of prizes, click here.

Problem Games That Experts Claim Make You Have Think
Bored and looking for a fast pickup? The best horse games online are a few clicks away. Let's pretend we just downloaded one of the top games. The first screen that comes up is the main menu. If you're a new user you will want to try the quick start, which allows you to run your first race and experience the thrill of 3-D virtual reality with a minimal learning curve and fuss. First you pick your horse, and then make your bets. Now you mount your horse and wait for the start. The gate opens and the race starts. Love that sound of flying hooves. You do what comes natural and begin beating your horse to perform and ramp up to maximum effort. You are soon rewarded by running 1st out of 20. Now you navigate your horse left to the fence and fly at top speed, getting 4 lengths ahead of the field. Too bad, with 3 furlongs left you suddenly notice that your horse is out of energy, and the entire field flies by you. You come in last. Beginner's mistake, let's do it again, no real horses were harmed for your learning experience. Next time you might notice the options to create a user tournament, go to your own stable and breed horses, load pre-built races, access champion horse files, look at game stats, etc. But that won't stop you from using the quick start again until you figure out how truly hard it is to place in the top 3. Okay, you get curious and try the pre-built races. It won't take long to select Churchill Downs as your track, so you can try to win the 2 million dollar purse. After another flurry of races, your best is 3rd place. Third place at Churchill Downs? Somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming. And everybody's been calling me a geek. There's many vendors of horse games online, offering thoroughbred races, horse jumping, harness horse racing - something for all horse lovers. But face it, thoroughbreds stir the blood far more than is decent, and satisfy like nothing else. Of Arabian origin, their tails carried high, thoroughbreds are known for their speed and stamina, small heads with concave profiles, large eyes and small muzzle, arched neck, sloping shoulders, strong level back, and awesome hindquarters and legs. Once the exclusive domain of Muslim warriors, there are now many derivative breeds, such as the Andalusian. Riding one beats even a Rolls Royce or Lear Jet. Even if all your modifications is successful there are still issues a-plenty for modified automobiles. Firstly, the insurance. When you have a recently pimped used car, you'll be bound to attract attention, jealousy and damage. Fancy used cars are more likely to get themselves nicked than your trusty, old used car. You could even end up with points on your license, fines and negative police attention. Neon lights on their own can cause this because they may confuse and therefore harm other road users. If your lights are super-P.I.M.P. and attention-grabbing they are liable to be considered illegal. After dark, especially, they might ultimately hurt drivers. There are complex rules in in England regarding which neons you can put under your used car, but the way the constabulary will treat the situation can vary. Only turning on your neons when you are off-road or simply not modifying your ride in the first place are the only real ways to stay out of legal difficulties. Ultimately, if you are hoping to cheaply and effectively pimp your used car by hand, you are terribly wrong. Unless you are a master mechanic, or happen to be pals with Xzibit and his lot, steer away from sprucing your used car yourself. It could place you in a whole pile of difficulties.

Surrendering Everything Part II The Trial
(Author’s Note: This is the trial and it is a long part. So take a seat and enjoy the story!)
Rating: M for 18+ audience....
Kristoff was feeling like he was on top of the word, as he casually strolled right on into the squad room. Today, he felt that everything was going right for once in his life. From the moment he had woken up to  his daughter laughing and tickling his feet to his wife telling him that they had gotten the approval to finish up the adoption process.
“What is up with you?” Rollins had asked with pure curiosity as he walked on past her desk.
“Everything!” Kristoff beamed as he began to take off his jacket. “I’m officially adopting Laura.”
“Wow.” Rollins smiled contently. “Congratulations.”
“Thank you.” he replied as he sat at his desk.
“Adoption is sure a big deal.” Rollins reminded her co-worker.
“Same thing goes for parenting.” Kristoff smirked, while Rollins just simply rolled her eyes.
“Bjorman!” Benson had stepped out of her office.
“Yes ma’am.” Kristoff quickly got out of his desk and headed straight into her office.
“Close the door.” Benson commanded Kristoff, once he had gotten into her office.
Kristoff gave her a confused look, after he had shut the door. “What’s up, boss?”
“Remember when I came to both you and Rollins, asking about one of you being a sergeant?” Benson recalled as she leaned up against her desk.
“Yes, I remember Rollins not wanting to take the position.” Kristoff said, still feeling a bit confused. “Why?”
“Well Olaf came up to me a few weeks ago.” Benson informed Kristoff.
Kristoff’s eyes went wide in surprise. “Really?”
“I thought that he would be a great sergeant,” she continued, “in fact, you and I both know that he had certainly changed his life.”
“I know.” he nodded.
“But, the Department won’t promote him.” Benson bit her lip. “They said that he’s nothing but damaged goods.”
Kristoff sighed in response. “He was cleared for those crimes by I.A.B.”
“I know,” Benson sighed, “and so does he.”
“He does?”
“I figure that I should tell you, before somebody else does.” Benson cleared her throat.
“Oh.” he mouthed.
“You know that it wasn’t either my call nor your father’s choice on this matter.” Benson kept eyes on Kristoff.
“Well,” Kristoff shrugged his shoulders, “like my father used to say to me ‘Son, don’t fall in love with you job. She’ll never love you back.’.”
“Right.” Benson grimaced at the thought of those words.
Kristoff then swung the door open and left the office.
“Why does my job have to be so hard.” she breathed as she walked on out of her office.
“Morning.” Benson nodded, looking around at her squad. “Where’s Sven?”
“Right here.” Sven waved his hand as he jogged on into the squad room.
“Okay good,” Benson felt a sense of relief, “now back to business, Merida had me to prep the witnesses to our case. Therefore, I’ve assigned all of us into two groups as…”
“Bodyguards to them.” Rollins finished her sentence, as she pulled on her black jacket.
“No,” Benson disregarded that answer, “as more of a confidante to these witnesses, especially to the girls.”
“To at least make sure that they feel safe?” Judy implied with her hands at her hips.
“To make sure that they’re confident enough to stand trial.” Benson added to Judy’s comment. “We want to take this guy down and to make sure that he wouldn’t rape, abuse, and even kill women ever again.”
“Still think that we should have killed him.” Sven voiced his opinion, while folding his arms and leaning up against his desk.
“What about the pimps?” olaf asked from sitting at his desk.
“Same thing goes for them, too.” Benson stated calmly. “I want us to, again, make sure that these witnesses are confident enough to take the stand.”
“Yes, ma’am.” all of the detectives agreed in unison.
“Okay,” Benson started, “now I would like for Rollins and Hopps to join me in talking to the girls.”
“What about us?” Sven looked a bit surprised.
“Easy,” Benson smirked, while her and the other two detectives went into the hallway, “go to Rikers.”
“Oh boy,” Kristoff rolled his eyes, “seriously.”
“Yep.” Sven pulled his over coat on.
“Say,” Olaf began as he adjusted his red jacket, “it’s better than nothing.”
“Damn straight.” Kristoff agreed with Olaf, as all three of them made it to the nearest elevator.
After an hour drive to Rikers, all three of them had finally reached the entrance of the state prison. Olaf stood there in awestruck wonder, once they had all gotten out of their respected car. “Such a newbie.” Sven laughed while him and Kristoff mosied on over to the guards at the entrance.
“C’mon Olaf.” Kristoff motioned Olaf to the entry way.
As they had entered on into the prison, they all came into agreement on who’s going where. Sven had decided to go and speak with the Stabbington Brothers, while Kristoff and Olaf were going to talk to Hans Westerguard. Kristoff couldn’t even believe that he was going to speak to his wife’s pimp ex-boyfriend, again.
“You okay, Kristoff?” Olaf asked as they both had reached the visitor’s area.
“Perfect.” Kristoff gritted through his teeth, however Olaf already knew the correct answer to that question.
“Ah look who’s here.” a red-headed man said with a sly grin as both Kristoff and Olaf approached his table.
“Hans.” Kristoff growled ever so lowly.
“Why hello detectives.” Hans clicked out of his teeth. “What can I do for you?”
“You know,” Olaf answered as both him and Kristoff sat right in front of the pimp, “you have to testify against Duke Weaselly.”
“Ah yes,” Hans breathed in forcefully, “anything to help out the men in blue.”
Kristoff gave him the death glare.
“All I have to say is the truth, correct?” Hans smiled, his green eyes piercing into their own.
“Yes,” Kristoff brushed off his stare, “now we can go over your statement in preparation for the trial.”
“Nah,” Hans chuckled, “I know how to do this. I’m not stupid.”
“Well then, we have nothing but pure confidence in you.” Olaf gave him a serious look before him and Kristoff got up from the table.
“Thank you,” Hans chuckled, “say Detective Bjorman, how’s your little wife and daughter doing?”
“Better.” Kristoff grunted  over his shoulder.
“Good,” Hans gave out a sly grin, “wanna know something?”
“No.”
“She was such a wild child in bed.” Hans was most certainly getting underneath Kristoff’s skin.
Kristoff’s blood boiled at the thought of his wife’s previous past with that pimp. Oh how he just wanted to lunged at the guy and beat him to a bloody pulp. However, he knew that killing the pimp wasn’t going to make anything better.
“Oh and good luck on your new baby.” Hans laughed ever so darkly. “I heard that boys are hard to deal with.”
The thought of a criminal talking to him about his children, made his fists ball up in nothing but pure rage. He didn’t even want this criminal to exist in this world. This pimp doesn’t even deserve to breathe in air. he thought while he continued on walking out of the visiting area.
“Can’t even believe that douchebag.” Olaf rolled his eyes. “Threatening you like that.”
“He didn’t even threaten me,” Kristoff corrected his partner, “only me and my family.”
“Kristoff,” Olaf placed a hand on his partner’s shoulder, “he’s not worth it.”
Kristoff let out a sigh of frustration and disgust.
“Besides,” Olaf reassured him, as Sven was waiting for them at the door, “he’s in prison. He won’t come after you and your family.”
“True.” Kristoff stiffened in frustration.
“Hey y’all ready?” Sven mentioned just as the other two detectives met him halfway.
Both of them agreed silently.
“Alrighty let’s go.” Sven gave them a confused look.
“Yep.” Olaf sighed as they exited the prison.
“Say,” Sven quickly pulled Kristoff back a bit, “what’s going on with Olaf?”
Kristoff cocked an eyebrow at him. “What do you mean?”
“C’mon,” Sven was asking with a smart remark, “one moment, he was all about being a sergeant and then just the other day I saw him tossing the prep book.”
Kristoff looked up ahead at his partner and then back at Sven. “Litanuent told me that I.A.B wasn’t going to promote him.”
“Oh geez.” Sven glanced over at Olaf.
“Not even father could pull strings for him.” Kristoff commented as they continued on walking to their patrol car.
“At least you’ll be taking the position?” Sven made that hasty remark.
“We’ll see.” Kristoff countered back, just before they had reached the car.
“Ready for the trial?” Olaf smiled at the both of them while leaning up against the car.
“Ready as we’ll ever be.” Sven guessed as he tossed the keys into Olaf’s hands.
After another half hour of driving, the three detectives had finally arrived at the state courthouse. Kristoff couldn’t wait to help bring the Duke to justice for all of the countless crimes that he had committed. In fact, he couldn’t even wait for his wife to finally be free from her past. He knew that his wife would always be physically free from both Hans and the Duke; however, what he really wanted for his wife, is to emotionally be free from them. He did manage to show her what making love was like versus getting paid to have sex with a low-life, in order to please her lover. Hell the first time he had shown her what love was really like, had produced them a second child. He smiled at the thought of his wife carrying their love in her body and how that child would be growing up in a house filled with love and happiness. If only you could come home soon, bud. he thought as him and his colleagues parked the car.
“Shit,” Sven coughed out, “Merida is going to be pissed.”
“Relax,” Olaf chuckled, “we’re here. That’s all it matters.”
Kristoff just rolled his eyes as they made their way into the courthouse.
“Honey!” a voice squealed with excitement, as they all entered the courthouse quad area.
“Huh?” Kristoff looked surprised, just before his wife ran into his arms. “Oh hi, Anna!”
“Hi there.” Anna pulled him in for a long, fire scorching kiss.
Kristoff froze for a second, then moaned quietly into his wife’s mouth, pressing her body against his own.
“I’ve missed you.” Anna purred huskily. “I’m a bit horny.”
“Anna,” her husband flustered at her words, “ah now’s not the good time.”
“That’s why I gave you the preview for tonight.” Anna giggled as she played with his blue tie.
“Ah Mrs. Bjorman.” Olaf smiled with hus hand out for a shake. “Nice to finally meet you.”
“Oh you must be Olaf.” Anna shook his hand. “My hubby here talks highly about you.”
“Thanks.”
“Hi there, Anna.” Sven gave her a side hug. “You’re glowing. Pregnancy sure does suite you.”
“Ah thank you,” Anna blushed slightly, “no thanks to his part.”
Both Sven and Olaf chuckled at Anna’s remark, while Kristoff was flushed from head to toe.
“Although,” Anna smiled as she held his hand close to her heart, “without him in my life, I don’t know where I’ll be.”
Kristoff gave her a loving look and chaste kiss on her cheek.
Before everyone was heading straight into the courtroom, ADA Merida was walking on up to Kristoff with a panic look on her face.
“Oh good, you’re here.” Merida whispered in a panicking tone.
“What’s up?” Kristoff looked a tad bit confused.
“Can we speak somewhere privately?” Merida looked at both Anna and Kristoff.
“What is it about, Merida?” Anna slightly shivered in fear, while Kristoff held her protectively.
“It’s about Laura’s adoption,” Merida breathed out forcefully, “The Duke wants to see her.”
“What do you mean?” Anna gasped, as Kristoff let out a low growl in frustration.
“It means that he’ll plead guilty to all of the charges, if he gets to visit Laura.” Merida quickly laid out the facts to the both of them. “Otherwise, he would only take a plea deal to two counts of soliciting to prostitution.”
“That’s not gonna happen,” Kristoff shook his head, “there’s no way that’s gonna happen. Over my dead body.”
“Kristoff” Merida spoke with such clarity in her voice, “I denied the plea deal, because we have overwhelming amount of evidence against this man.”
“But, he could still see our daughter.” Anna commented, holding onto her husband’s hadn ever so tightly.
“Not if we have the right judge overseeing the case.” Merida reassured the young married couple before they made their way into the court room.
“That means…” Kristoff began.
“He wouldn’t even be able to see her.” Anna finished after they entered on into the courtroom.
Kristoff smiled at the thought of his daughter not being forced to go and see her biological father in the state prison. He smiled even more at the thought of him continuing the adoption process and to even add on to his family.
“Whatcha thinking about?” Anna cooed in his ear as they sat down in their respective seats in the courtroom.
“Us,” Kristoff whispered back, “our children and how they’ll be growing up with love and happiness.”
Anna giggled like a little school girl.
The whole entire courtroom sat there in silence, as Merida made her opening statements about the case. She claimed that the evidence piling up against the defendant would be more than enough to put him away for the rest of his life. She even wanted to make sure that the jury would understand that the defendant did nothing but bought, manipulate, and abused woman. “I just hope the jury believes the actual facts this time.” Sven made a remark as Merida resumed her seat at her table.
Since Merida was finished with her argument, Frollo had came up with his own “successful” plan. His argument states that the defendant was nothing but a good citizen to the society. He wanted the jury to know that his client had never gotten into trouble with the law before. “Not even a simple parking ticket,” Frollo chided, “yet here we are. My dear client is being charged for these horrendous crimes, yet he’s an innocent man.”
“Oh lord,” Anna rolled her eyes right on cue.
After the opening arguments were made, Merida called out her first witness, Lt. Benson.
“Now Lt. Benson,” Merida paced across the witness stand, “could you describe the scene where you found both the victims and the suspect.”
“Both the victims and suspect were found inside an abandoned warehouse.” Benson described while she remained calm on the stand. “The warehouse was dark, musty, and completely filled with debris.”
“Could you pinpoint the exact location of where the victims were found?” Merida stood in front of the jury.
“The victims were either found chained up against the wall,” Benson explained, “chained at their beds. Most of them were found in large rooms, throughout the warehouse.”
“Could you describe their living conditions?” Merida asked ever so politely.
“These girls were living in hell.” Benson gave a serious look.
“Objection.” Frollo called out. “Not relevant to the case.”
“Overruled.”
Merida continued on berating Lt. Benson with a series of questions. She wanted to make sure that the entire courtroom was able to get their answers about the case. Lt. Benson wanted to make sure that the defendant was going to get the maximum penalty for the horrendous crimes that he has committed.
“Thank you for your time.” Merida finished as she sat down at her desk.
Soon afterwards, Frollo had stepped up and started his line of questioning. He was hoping to come across the idea of exposing police corruption in his client’s case. However, Benson verbally put her foot down, saying that the case had nothing to do with the fact that one of her detective’s was adopting the Duke’s daughter. In the end of Lt. Benson being questioned by Frollo, there wasn’t enough evidence for any juror to believe the defendant.
“Please God help us.” Anna prayed as she snuggled up against her husband.
“Anna,” Kristoff rubbed her swell, lovingly, “it’s going to be okay.”
“I hope so.”
Merida made her way with asking questions to almost every witness that was sworn to take the stand; she wanted to make sure that every single piece of evidence was proven correctly by every witness.
“So tell me, Ms. Warner.” Merida recalled as she placed the medical reports in front of the jury. “Were these injuries significant caused by the weapons that were used against the victims?”
“Yes,” the medical examiner reported, “the wounds were consistent with a metal rod, as if it was being used as a bat.”
“Objection.” Frollo argued, claiming that his client didn’t have the upper strength to “swing it like a bat”.
The judge gave the defendant a look down and allowed the objection to occur.
Frollo smiled at both Merida and the judge, thinking that he was going to be winning this argument in the first round.
Merida knew that she was out of questions for the medical examiner, only because  she knew that the medical examiner had given very descriptive details about the medical reports.
“Thank you for coming,” Frollo adjusted his tie while Merida went back to her desk, “considering you do have a busy schedule to work with.”
“My job pretty much keeps me busy.” the medical examiner commented.
“So say if you were able to take the time to run a DNA test for a friend, would you?” Frollo suggested to the examiner.
“Objection!” Merida had sprung up from her seat.
“Overruled,” Frollo slammed down verbally, “this goes for public record, judge.”
The judge looked over at the defendant and then at Merida. “I’ll allow it. The witness may answer the question.”
“The DNA test was to only see if that child had any relatives on the paternal side.” the medical examiner answered. “We didn’t run the test to intentionally prove that the defendant was the child’s biological parent.”
“But you still got the results after his arrest,” Frollo challenged the medical examiner, “in fact, you’ve held the evidence til you personally gave it to your friend.”
“Objection.” Merida exclaimed in protest.
“Go on,” Frollo sat back down at his seat, “I’m done with this witness.”
“Son-of-a-bitch,” Olaf steamed at Judy, “he didn’t need to do that.”
“Olaf.” Judy whispered harshly.
“Hey,” Olaf gave her serious look, “the jury is now going to believe that the case has police corruption written all over it.”
“Well that’s not going to happen.” Judy shoved those words at her colleague’s face.
Both Merida and Frollo continued on their rounds of asking their own questions to every witness that came onto the stand. Merida was continuously hoping that the jury was listening to more of the facts rather than the fabricated stories that the defense had provided.
“That scumbag.” Kristoff fumed as he watched his wife’s ex-pimp boyfriend try to be the victim out of everything.
“Hun,” Anna gently squeezed his thigh for comfort, “he’s not going to get away with it. The jury is not buying his story.”
“You may never know, Anna.” Benson mentioned as Hans stepped down from the witness stand.
“Olivia,” Anna said calmly, “I was his prostitute. I know him. Trust me.”
After Hans was done being questioned by the prosecution, he quickly stepped away and was soon send off back to prison. Before Hans had left the courtroom, he called out straight to Anna. “My dear, looks like your swell has definitely taken a toll on your small petite frame.”
Kristoff hid his wife from those horrifying words from her ex-pimp. He couldn’t even believe that scumbag would try to hurt his Anna with those words. He could feel Anna swallowing down her tears, by the calm movement from her back.
“It’s going to be okay.” Kristoff murmured into his wife’s ear.
“I know,” Anna sighed as she leaned into his protective embrace, “I just want this nightmare to go away.”
“Don’t worry, it will.”
“Your Honor,” I would like to call on…”
“That’s enough,” the judge silenced the crowd, “the court’s in recess, we’ll adjourn tomorrow at 9 a.m.”
Merida simply fell at defeat, once the courtroom was being cleared out. She couldn’t even believe that the judge made the choice to end the day with a climax to the trial.
“Please,” Merida squeezed her eyes shut, “this case needs to be won.”
“Merida.” Sven lightly nudged Merida on the shoulder.
Merida jumped to his touch. “Sven, what is going?”
“We need to get going.” Sven helped Merida up from her seat. “Here let me take you home.”
The next day of the trial, Merida called out her next witness, Detective Bjorman.
“Now, Detective Bjorman,” Merida began questioning the detective on the stand, “describe the scene where the suspect, Duke Weaselly, was.”
“The suspect,” Kristoff looked around the courtroom, “was currently housing his victims in horrible conditions.”
“Such as.”
“The rooms were dark, musty, and filled with debris. Many of his victims were chained up in different rooms, either to their filthy beds or to the walls.”
“And explain how you found the suspect, detective.” Merida said as she faced the jury.
“We found the suspect in a room with a piece of glass pressed up against the victim’s neck.” Kristoff said with affirmation.
“Objection!” Frollo called out but soon was turned down by Merida.
“Thank you.” Merida smiled at Kristoff as she sat back down at her desk.
Kristoff cleared his throat, in hopes of keeping his cool in front of the grand jury. He couldn’t even believe that he would have to testify for the prosecution, but he knew that he had to due to him being the arresting officer. “Please help me through this.” he prayed as the defense attorney, Frollo, was about to ask him some questions.
“Good morning,” Frollo greeted, “how’s your daughter doing?”
“Your Honor,” Merida reminded the judge, “this is completely unrelated to our case.”
“I agree.” the judge nodded. “Attorney Frollo, tread lightly.”
“Yes your Honor.” Frollo sincerely stated, while collecting his paperwork, “my apologies, but there are some DNA evidence in regards to my client possibly fathering a child.”
“Again, proceed with caution, Frollo.” the judge narrowed her eyes.
“Yes your Honor,” Frollo brushed the judge, “anyway, when you’ve arrested my client here, did you by any chance know the results from the DNA test?”
“No.” Kristoff glared at the attorney. “We didn’t find out until afterwards.”
“But you and your wife, a former prostitute, assumed that he was the biological father.” Frollo chided as he glanced through his paperwork.
“Yes.”
“Therefore, you’ve intended to arrest my client.” Frollo sighed. “In order to finalize the adoption, correct?”
“Objection!” Merida protested from her seat.
“My apologies,” Frollo ignored the objections, “but what were your intentions in arresting my client.”
Kristoff cleared his throat and spoke with such an authoritative tone in his voice. “My intentions in arresting the suspect, Duke Weaselly, were perfectly clear. This man was holding women as prisoners, chained up in rooms throughout the warehouse. He trafficked women for profit; he raped, killed, and abused his victims for pleasure. He is nothing but a criminal that needs to be locked up for good.”
The entire courtroom kept their voices to the bare minimum. Frollo couldn’t even believe that the young detective was actually covering up the truth behind his client’s arrest.
“Thank you.”
“Well that was pleasant.” Benson commented as her squad made their way out of the courtroom.
“At least, he’ll be toast.” Olaf agreed with his boss.
“We still have a long way to go.” Merida made her way into the group. “Is all of the other witnesses ready to testify?”
“The girls are ready.” Judy said with confidence.
“Good.”
“They’ll be here ready to testify.” Benson added.
“What about the Stabbington Brothers?” Merida asked the other detectives.
“They’ll testify.” Sven kept his word to Merida.
“Good.”
Sure enough, the Stabbington Brothers were more than willing to testify against their main boss, the Duke. Merida had made it perfectly clear that once they were able to testify, they would have shorter sentences and the possibility of parole. The Stabbington Brothers were able to tell the entire courtroom about what they were suppose to do in regards to “breaking in” the women who were brought into that warehouse. Many of the jurors were in surprise with what the prosecution had brought to the table as evidence.
“Thank you.” Merida kept on saying to the Stabbington Brothers, after they were done on the stand.
The defense knew that they were toast; therefore, Frollo had decided not to question the Stabbington Brothers on the stand.
“Good riddance.” Anna yawned as she nestled into her husband’s arms. “When will this be over?”
“Soon.” Kristoff whispered, as they all watched the next witness come to the stand.
“Thank you for coming here.” Merida took a sip out of her water glass.
“You’re welcome.” the young redhead said with her thick German accent. “My name is Anastasia.”
“Now do you know the suspect, Duke Weaselly?” Merida approached the stand.
“Yes.” Anastasia answered.
“How well do you know him?”
Anastasia took a slight glance at the suspect and began to shiver in fear.
“Anastasia?” Merida leaned into the witness stand.
Anastasia glanced back at Merida.
“He gave me money.” she lied.
“For being his prostitute?” Merida cocked an eyebrow at her.
“No,” Anastasia lied through her teeth, “he gave me money to watch over his elderly grandmother.”
The entire squad was astounded at what the young witness had said. They couldn’t even believe that she was lying on the stand, in front of the entire courtroom.
Not again. Benson thought as she shot a look at the young witness. Please tell the truth.
“Well according to your witness statement,” Merida eyed the witness, “you were once bought and sold to the suspect, Duke Weaselly.”
“No,” Anastasia stiffened, “I was told to watch over his elderly grandmother. She had Alzheimer's.”
“Let me remind you,” Merida warned Anastasia, “that you were sworn in to tell the truth.”
“I am.” Anastasia breathed, feeling the fear for her life.
“Your Honor,” Frollo proclaimed as he sat up from her seat, “the prosecution is berating their own witness.”
“Correct.” the judge agreed. “Recess until tomorrow morning 9 a.m. sharp.”
Merida just stood there in shock. She couldn’t even believe that her own witness had lied under oath. She knew that something wasn’t right with her witness, yet she had hoped that the witness would at least help put the suspect away for good.
“This did not just happen.” Merida had whispered harshly while she made her way on out of the courtroom. She couldn’t even wait to hear what her colleagues were going to say to her about the witness. Guess I’ll have to see. Merida thought as she saw her colleagues surrounded by the crowd.
“What just happened?” Rollins sighed in defeat.
“I tell ya what happened,” Sven implied, “that son-of-a-bitch got to her.”
“Meaning?” Kristoff held his wife protectively close to his side.
“Meaning that he could have threaten her.” Merida strolled on into the conversation.
“Great.” Benson said in shock. She couldn’t even believe that their witness had not only recanted her statement, but lied under oath. “Just great.”
“So what do we do?” Olaf shrugged looking at his lieutenant for answers.
“Make sure that this doesn’t happen again.” Merida made her statement true to the core.
“Okay.” Benson agreed. “Now I want Rollins, Olaf, and Judy to go home, while Kristoff and I are going to talk to the victims.”
“Yes ma’am.” Judy nodded before her and her colleagues had let the courthouse.
“Lieutenant.” Kristoff called out, just before him and his wife had left the courthouse.
“Yes.” Benson squinted her eyes from the sun.
“Why did you choose me?” Kristoff wondered as him and Anna walked on down to meet his lieutenant.
“Because, I know that they’ll be needing some reassurance from a person just like you.” Benson smiled, as she looked at both her detective and his wife. “Besides your wife suggested you to be their confidant, just like you were to her.”
Anna simply smiled, while gently squeezing his hand affectionately.
“Okay.” Kristoff smiled.
“Follow me.” Benson nodded as she walked on over to her car.
“Kristoff, I love you.” Anna kissed his lips sweetly. “Those girls need you.”
Kristoff nodded as he walked on down to his lieutenant’s car.
“So you mean to tell us that the Duke had threaten to kill Anastasia?” one of the girls exclaimed as they all circled around the detectives.
“We can’t confirm that.” Benson proceeded to answer with caution. “What we can confirm is that Anastasia doesn’t want to testify against the Duke.”
“So what are we supposed to do?” another girl looked into Benson’s eyes for guidance.
“Testify,” Kristoff sided with his lieutenant, “tell the jury the truth. Tell them exactly what he did to you.”
“But what if he tries to kill us?” Ariel said in fear for her life.
“We can protect you.” Kristoff reassured the girls.
“How,” one brunette scowled, “you’re a man. Why are you even here?”
“My wife,” Kristoff began, “was just like you. She was bought by the Duke.”
“So?”
“So.” Benson continued for her detective. “She survived and is now living her life, without being in fear of the Duke.”
“You can do it,” Kristoff said in a comforting tone, “if my wife can survive this, then I know you all can, too.”
“He’s right,” Ariel agreed, “he needs to be put away for what he did to me. To all of us.”
The other girls all sat there in silence.
“C’mon,” Benson looked at all of those girls, “he needs to be in prison. He’s nothing but a criminal.”
“Alrighty.” one girl sighed.
“Sure,” another one piped in, “I’m in. I want him to go away.”
“Good.” Benson smiled at the rest of them. “If you all testify, he would be put away for good.”
Later on that evening, Kristoff was soon home with his wife and daughter.
“Daddy?” Laura squealed, as she spooned up her green beans at the dinner table.
“Yes, my dear?” Kristoff smiled warmly, while him and Anna were finishing up their own plates.
“Bedtime story?” Laura pleaded with her lip puckering out.
“Yes,” Anna giggled at their daughter’s look, “Daddy will read you a new bedtime story.”
Laura laughed excitedly and continued on eating her food with a smile.
“So,” Anna kept her voice low, “are those girls ready to testify?”
Kristoff simply cleared his throat and gave his wife a let's-not-talk-about-it-in-front-of-Laura look.
“Okay.” Anna sighed while she helped her daughter finish her plate.
After Laura’s bedtime rituals were over, both Anna and Kristoff slowly tip-toed to their master bedroom. They couldn’t even believe how tired they both were once they reached their bedroom.
“So,” Anna whispered as they both had gotten themselves ready for bed, “you wanna talk about it?”
“I don’t know.” Kristoff said while he laid his head down on his pillow.
“Kristoff,” Anna murmured while she moved her body closer to his, “he needs to be put away for good.”
“I know.” Kristoff sighed as he wrapped his arms around her. “Those girls will be ready to testify against him.”
“Good.”
“You know what?”
“What?” Anna yawned as she looked him in the eyes.
“They reminded me of you.” Kristoff whispered in her ear. “How you used to be in their shoes. How you used to work; how you were abused and sold to him.”
“And here I am with you.” Anna kissed his lips delicately. “Alive and happy to be sharing my life with you.”
Kristoff smiled as he continued on holding his wife close.
“Can I tell you something love?” Anna whispered into his chest.
“What is it?” Kristoff gave his wife a concerned look.
“I have to testify, tomorrow.”
“Who told you?” Kristoff gulped down all of his anger and frustration.
“The defense called me this morning.” Anna said with her heart heavy on her chest. “You know I had to say yes.”
“Anna,” Kristoff stated, “they’ll kill you on the stand.”
“They won’t.” Anna said with such affirmation in her voice. “Not if I want to explode about the truth.”
“Well then good.” Kristoff chuckled, as they both settled themselves in for the night.
