O we have one of the Interrupted by Fireworks influenced ones already :)) 6/8 vs 3/4 soft feeling. Time got away from me today but I wrote this while root veggies were roasting to have with my spicy fish stew.

Today and this week for the first time this year I started a bunch of pieces I didn't use -- eventually got to this, which is simple in some ways but kinda has a story to it and also is 4/4 - 3/4 - 7/8 which tbh is something we've been missing so far :D

PIANOWRIMO 2024 #1

Welcome back!!! Pianowrimo - one (short) piano piece written and recorded for every day of November - now in its 8th (!!!!) year.

For today's piece hmm I was thinking how I'd like to do more interesting rhythms, or rhythm-focused, which I do for.. a bit anyway, and also since I've been writing a lot for my students lately, kinda something that's NOT that and that's just indulgent for me -- so it's not super hard to play, but it also doesn't worry about e.g. hand positions or exact repetition or making the rhythm specially easy to read.

it's also very short and has an emoji and a piece of punctuation for a title (for now) because why not.
