Tumblr media
Master Notes:
Decent capture of this show. Whenever Terry Mann is on stage it's a fancam. The first 20 minutes are completely blindly filmed so i defaulted to wideshotting most of it. Due to usher activity a lot of the show is shot this way, whenever he left i could zoom and such, second big issue with this video is the obstruction. The people in front of me never stopped moving and they kept getting into my shot constantly so there is a lot of obstruction that i try my absolute best to avoid. Some washout, shakiness and readjusting throughout.

The 80s Grue-Crew and guest Ralph Miller III take a trip to a hospital in Canada to diagnose Blue Monkey (1987). This one features the beginnings of an epidemic, some ludicrous laser shenanigans, an extraordinary amount of green goo, and a freaky larva that magically metamorphoses (we think) into a giant insect that begins killing patients in the now quarantined hospital. All of this is accomplished with some generally good effects work and an abundance of pseudo-sciencing. Steven Railsback, Gwynyth Walsh, Don Lake, Susan Anspach, and John Vernon jump into the fray, accompanied by Marwella and Dede, a pair of golden girls getting drunk in the background, and Robin Dukes and Joe Flaherty having their first baby. Ah, yes. Canadian horror has such a unique flavor. As you can tell, there’s plenty of material for our talkabout… even though there’s no actual blue monkey.
At the time of this writing, Blue Monkey (1987) is available to stream from Tubi and multiple PPV sources.
Every two weeks, Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1980s podcast will cover another horror film from the 1980s. The next episode’s film, chosen by Jeff, will be Angel (1984), starring… wait for it… Rory Calhoun! Joining him are Donna Wilkes, Cliff Gorman, Dick Shawn, Susan Tyrrell, and John Diehl, all cavorting on the strip. Unfortunately, there’s a serial killer on the prowl.
Please let them know how they’re doing! They want to hear from you – the coolest, grooviest fans – so leave them a message or comment on the Gruesome Magazine Youtube channel, on the Gruesome Magazine website, or email the Decades of Horror 1980s podcast hosts at [email protected].

My name is Kit, and I write under the pen name "K.D Wynter" and work on films (student ones, mainly) as "Kit Goddard", now working under "Kit Phillips-Jones". I'm 26 years old, use any pronouns (unless it's welsh, then Ef is good. Y'know. The masc one).
If you're under 16 I'm gonna ask that you don't follow me
The Eternal Carosel of Wips (I haven't finished anything in my life)
Risen - the world's worst gays go on a road trip to find a magic sword. One's dead and came back wrong, one's tired, one's on the verge of a mental break down, and Val is also there. TW warnings for murder and mild/implied incest. Status: Rewriting
The Night Society - It's 1920s London and the young maid Eleanor Walker is totally not into Eliglble Bachelor Adam Sinclair. Okay, maybe a little, but it's mostly for the cannibalism. TW warnings for cannibalism and homophobia. Status: Drafting
Watch My Films
(please I'm begging)
Ram's Blood - writer/director/producer/actor - surrealist horror and cannibals in the woods
Le Pop - writer - surreal short film challenge - mistaken identity and balloons. You'll understand.
Use My Services
You can send me a script to format!
You can pay me to proof read!
You can get me to do Welsh things! (mostly Welsh/English translation work, but don't think I don't see some of you fantasy writers using Welsh as a shorthand for ~mystic fantasy~, I'll even help you out so you don't end up with a "Yennefer The Witcher smoking a sewage system" situation.)
Hell, you can even send me scenes for a vibe check!
I'm first language Welsh, I've graduated First Class from a film and tv course with a specialism in screenwriting (and script supervision, so I'm Big on continuity work)
If you don't want any of these, but happen to just want to send cash for whatever reason, I'll design an e-book cover/movie poster/header on Canva for you just hit me up.

Zion Lutheran Church
2062 E. 30th St.
Cleveland, OH 44115
Zion Lutheran Church (LCMS), located at 2062 E. 30th Street in Cleveland, Ohio, is a historic Lutheran church along Prospect Avenue near downtown Cleveland. Formed in the 1840s, the congregation built the present building shortly after 1900, which has been named a historic site. Since approximately 1860, the stretch of Prospect Avenue where Zion Lutheran was built had been a primarily residential neighborhood.  It was one of the city's richer areas, as demonstrated by the grandness of churches such as Zion, First Methodist, Trinity Cathedral, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Euclid Avenue.
In such an environment Zion Lutheran Church was constructed in 1902 and opened for public use in the following year. It is home to a congregation founded by German immigrants in 1843, the oldest extant Lutheran congregation in the city. Many other Cleveland-area Lutheran congregations, including Trinity Lutheran Church, are Zion's daughters. The original church building was located downtown, but the east-side German community was strong enough by 1902 that the congregation deemed Prospect Avenue a better location for serving the community. The architect for the church was Frank Walker of Walker and Weeks.
The church is a brick building with stone foundations and additional elements of stone in the Gothic Revival style of architecture. The residential environment persisted into the mid-1910s, at which point the neighborhood transitioned into a largely commercial area. Beginning after 1930, the neighborhood deteriorated as many buildings were demolished, often to create room for parking lots.  Zion Lutheran Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1984, because of its historically significant architecture and because of its role in local history, part of a multiple property submission of buildings on Prospect Avenue, along with nearby buildings such as First Methodist Church, the Phillip Gaensslen House, and the Dr. William Gifford House. The congregation was a founding member of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) within which it has remained.
