#MonotremeMonday:
Echidna petroglyph, 90cm
from the 'Echidna and Fish' site at West Head in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, NSW, Australia
“It is difficult to date the echidna engraving using current scientific techniques, particularly as there is no soil covering it. Dating is also difficult because re-grooving sometimes occurs during later ceremonies. However the style of the drawing, known as 'simple figurative', and its state of preservation suggests it was made in the last few thousand years. The simple figurative style is confined to the region.”

A weirdo moose-ship rockcarving mug! Quite inspired by the stoneage petroglyphs at Nämforsen (Sweden). This one is sold but I'm working on some new petro-mugs now actually. If you want to be notified of my shop updates, here's a link to my email list :)

El Morro National Monument | The oasis at El Morro has attracted humans for 1000+ years. The petroglyphs left by the Puebloans inspired a tradition continued by each successive wave of people passing by, w/each leaving a chiseled guest log on the walls of the mesa. There are more than 2,000 inscriptions and petroglyphs.

I thought you might be the only person on the whole planet who might appreciate the tapestry I made last month. I had to weave all the trim before applying it, too. But it's so fun to touch!
literally in fucking tears over this. i say it all the time but this is what the human experience is all about!!!! someone made that chalk horse hundreds of years ago and the two of us said ok love it! we will keep the horse alive in different ways :) absolutely beautiful work omfg
