OK, I’m sharing this with you because this article is uniquely terrible. I read a lot of news articles and stuff. So what happened was that Perry Farrell was overwhelmed by the volume at one of the reunited Jane’s Addiction concert. Some fan commented that the band was too loud and so Perry Pharrell got angry and started attacking one of his band members, Dave Navarro. This caused the concert to end and the band to separate. This article kind of implies Perry Farrell was the victim because it talks about Perry Farrell being rushed to the hospital after this fight and having a bunch of doctors looking at and making sure he was OK. No mention is made as to whether Dave Navarro, the person that was attacked, was also OK. Very unusual.
#Perry Farrell#dave navarro#jane’s addiction#like “Perry is getting help right now as his knuckles and shoulder really hurt from punching his bandmate#“ I get mental health is hard but I draw the line when you start attacking other people.

Jane’s Addiction Cancel Tour
- Move comes after Perry Farrell shoved, punched Dave Navarro on stage in Boston
With 15 shows left on its reunion tour, the original lineup of Jane’s Addiction pulled the plug.
The band, in a statement, called it a “difficult decision to take some time away as a group.” But Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Eric Avery, in a separate statement, blamed Perry Farrell, his “behavior and … mental health difficulties.”
The news comes after the band cut short its Sept. 13 concert in Boston when Farrell shoved, then threw a punch at, Navarro. The frontman was subdued and taken offstage.
“Our concern for (Farrell’s) personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative,” the singer’s bandmates said of the aborted tour. “We hope that he will find the help he needs.”
Refunds will be issued for the canceled gigs.
“We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets,” Navarro, Perkins and Avery said.
“We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis. Our hearts are broken.”

I was tagged by @nuclearnerves to share 9 albums I’ve been listening to lately 🥰
~
A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races by Queen | Queen is one of those bands I don’t listen to as often as I should, but every now and again I’m like... reminded of their existence?? And I just??? Listen to them nonstop for a month (or two)??? Anyway I’m 100% Certified Trash for all the music hall inspired stuff. Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon? Seaside Rendezvous? The Millionaire Waltz? Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy? That’s The Good Shit Right There.
Darklands by The Jesus and Mary Chain | This album, y’all. This. Album. I dunno, it’s like my little black dress of albums? Does that make sense? It’s always in my rotation all of the time. Wanna listen to music but too overwhelmed to pick something specific? Just put this baby on. It’s always appropriate, always in style. Am I happy? Am I sad? Am I numb? Am I falling in love for the first time? I don’t know, but this album is always right there with me.
Low-Life by New Order | Because sometimes you feel like dancing. Also, I’m trash for Stephen Morris. This album is just a feast for the ears in terms of the synth and percussion, or as the kids like to say: this shit fuckin’ slaps. In a way that only something from 1985 can.
Luminous by The Horrors | This album makes me feel like I’m flying through space. Pushes all the right shoegazey buttons.
Gold Against the Soul by Manic Street Preachers | This album doesn’t get the best rap compared to the rest of their work but... sometimes you just need bitchin’ riffs and bangin’ drums and catchy choruses and this one delivers. Don’t @ me.
Velociraptor! by Kasabian | Kasabian is just fun, y’all. And this album just... has so much to offer. A smattering of all kinds of cool sounds, served with hooks you can’t hide from.
Ritual de lo Habitual by Jane’s Addiction | So Jane’s Addiction is imo one of the most original, inspiring, galaxy-brained bands of all time. The first half of this album just goes so fucking hard. Like a damned train about to run off the tracks, or a rocket hurdling at such incredible speed it’s about to combust. It pushes everything to its limit. And the second half??? Beautiful, grandiose, ethereal, epic. 10000/10 chef’s kiss. Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins all really Did That.
EP by Nova Twins | In 2017, Tom Morello has referred to these gals as “The best band you’ve never heard of.” And he was so right. Makes you wanna bang your head and maybe also punch someone. I am positively salivating for their album to drop.
~
I’m gonna tag: @red-hot-moon, @herzdieb, @weatheredlaw, @mareyshelley, @killingkueen, @koraticca, @alecharrdy, @maplesyrupao3, @nostalgicidiot, annnnd idk, anyone else who sees this and thinks it looks fun! (yes that means you reading this now-- mutuals or not!)

Jane’s Addiction Cancel Show, Apologize for Onstage “Events”
- Next gig now slated for Sept. 18 in Ontario
Jane’s Addiction are sorry for “events that unfolded” on stage - it was a fight that led to an aborted song and show - Sept. 13 in Boston and canceled their Sept. 15 gig in Connecticut.
“We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded (that) night,” the group said in a weirdly passive statement that announced the cancellation of the next show on its reunion tour.
Refunds will be issued, per the statement, signed “thank you, Jane’s Addiction.”
The mea culpa comes after the band cut short its concert when singer Perry Farrell shoved, then threw a punch at, guitarist Dave Navarro. The frontman was subdued and taken offstage.
The original lineup - Farrell, Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery - is in the middle of its first tour since 2010 with the next gig slated for Sept. 18 in Ontario. Concert dates are scheduled through mid-October.
