Day 21 of my beer advent calendars started with Perlenzauber (which was in the 2019 & 2020 calendar but not last years so welcome back) from Privatbrauerei H. Egerer out of Grossköllnbach, Germany. A solid pale ale I’m happy to have back in the mix. Next was Advent Beers Cranberry Wheat Ale. This was the beer I was looking forward to trying the most when I saw the beer list on the box. The beer I miss the most this time of year is Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic, but sadly this is not that. While not the worst Cranberry beer I’ve had, it was just good, not great.

Advent 2019 második söre : Perlenzauber (Camba)

"German pale ale" - ez van a címkén. Színre egy picit sötétebb, mint a tegnapi hoplager, viszont ízre nagyon hasonló, ez is határozottan gyümölcsös, ahogy egy pale ale esetén elvárható.

Szépen részletezve vannak az összetevők, komoly arzenál van bevetve: pilseni, müncheni és karamell maláták, valamint Centennial, Chinook, Citra, Summit és Mosaic komlók, amerikai élesztővel.

Kis sztori is van a címkén, miszerint ez egy Gipsy sör, a Kalea receptje, akik az adventi válogatást csinálták, és minden évben más főzde készíti el nekik.

5.3% alkohol, 12.1% szárazanyag tartalom, IBU 31, azaz még ez sem számít keserűnek.

Tausenddreihundertachtzehntes Bier:

Hohenthanner Schlossbrauerei Perlenzauber 5,4% vol. Hohenthann, Deutschland Ein "German Pale Ale" also. Oha. Farblich opalisierend bernsteinfarben im Glas, in der Nase hauptsächlich Malz, ein Hauch Frucht und viel Karamell. Am Gaumen mild malzig, leidlich fruchtig und schwach bitter. Naja. 5/10

Brewer’s Advent Calendar 2017: Day Fifteen

Today’s beer: Perlenzauber Pale Ale Halfway between an Altbier & an English Pale Ale. Nice but unremarkable. Solid session beer. That label somehow reminds me of Charlie on Lost drowning with “Not Penny’s Boat” written on his hand, but maybe that’s just me. Happy Friday!

Perlenzauber IPA, day 15 of the Costco Beer Advent Calendar. Last year it was day 21. Hoppy & a little grassy, with a lack of bitterness. A very drinkable IPA for those who don’t like the piney or floral finish to most IPAs.

Perlenzauber

Day 7 is Perlenzauber. This 5.4% ABV German pale ale is different than most American or English pale ales ove tried. The malt body is lighter. No sweetness and no bitterness, with notes of citrus.
