Honestly I think Eloise has a lot of growing up to do and if I was Pen it would take a lot to forgive the fact that out of all the people in the Ton it is her bully Cressida that El befriended

I think Colin will play a big part in helping them reunite as I think he will be the only one that can make Eloise actually listen and see how she is wrong

Most surprising thing about discovering the Bridgeton fandom is seeing how many don’t see the LW articles about Colin and Eloise as absolutely genuine and selfless. She saved her friends AFTER trying to help them as Pen. I am more confused than Colin understanding feelings.

me trying to maintain composure while reading this aside, i think it's absolutely wild that there's this lack of understand when it comes to colin, specifically, that he keeps that she's LW to himself out of love and devotion alongside worry for penelope much like eloise does.

imagine the man who said that he would prefer the torture of his feelings for her to letting them go being capable of just letting her go. he can't even part with her letters she wrote to him on his first tour, much less the woman herself. pls.

I don’t think anything has broken my heart more than watching Eloise and Penelope walk away from each other in that first episode. Like you could see the hurt in both their faces and this is an impossible situation.

Because Penelope created LW for a reason - and I can go into those reasons but at the end of the day a lot of people have been hurt and embarrassed and even destroyed by this column.

Eloisa has every right to be upset and angry and hurt - and maybe it’s a strange mix of feelings because for a while Eloise did admire LW, she did think what she was doing was incredible, the idea of a woman with that much power - but at the end of the day she was effected by it and so was her family.

It’s … hard to see how they’d reconcile.

At the same time though I think Eloise and Pen really do need each other. (Though I also think eloise stepping out into society, maybe giving some of these other girls a chance - like Cressida - is also necessary for growth and change; maybe to realize that her opinions aren’t as rare as she might think or that while her family isn’t perfect, they seem to be the exception to how families in their society interact, that she can depend on them on her mother and brother and siblings and not have someone belittle you.) but I think pen and Eloise are soulmates in their own way - that person who just understands us even if we don’t always match up in opinions.
